A simple, eventual high school romance, tested by outside hate. Lalalala.

Name: Dante Silas

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Grade: 11, Junior

Appearance: View attachment 7724

Personality: Dante is definitely an outsider, and proud of it at that. Born to a LaVeyan Satanist family, he believes in the "I am my own god" and "an eye for an eye" concepts strongly, making him a bit argumentative and easy to fight. He's never had close friends so he doesn't really know how to function in a friendly relationship, but he's willing to try anything. He's very open to new ideas, except when it comes to changing his faith. He has schizophrenia, so sometimes he goes into fits of rage or moments of pure catatonia.

Other info: He is a proud LaVeyan Satanist. He has schizophrenia.

Name: Reed Weekes

Age: 16

Gender: Boyyyyzzz xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Grade: Sophomore

Appearance: View attachment 7725

Personality: Reed can be outspoken, loud, and energetic with certain people, but with other people he is shy, quiet, and scared. If he doesn’t like you he will probably be more quiet, and if he does consider you a friend he will be louder. He is very secretive with most people, but if he tells you about his past, you surely mean a lot to him. He is very passionate about music and writing.

Other info: Sometimes, when he doesn't have to go out, or go to school, he wears glasses. Not round and awful looking, but like rectangle frames [you understand].

[Hopefully mine isn't terrible. Lol]]

Okay, fine.

I prowled the crowded hallways, a slight smirk on my face as I pushed through person after person. "Hey! Watch it!" Someone shouted. I simply stuck out my middle finger, without even looking back. Last time I did that I got in a huge fight... But it takes more than one time for me to learn my lesson.

I was on my way to AP Biology. Apparently we'd get paired up with a partner for our Gene Technology project. I was dreading it, to be honest. I hated everyone in there, especially the boy on the third row. What was his name? Reed? Reed Weekes, I remembered. Man, just hearing that name makes me mad. He was really annoying. Loud, pushy, and just plain annoying.

I stepped into the classroom, my backpack slung over my shoulder and my septum ring turned a bit too far to the left. I adjusted it as I sat down, scowling at whoever turned around to look at me. Man, this was gonna be a long day.

I sat in AP Biology tapping my pencil on the desk, waiting for everyone to arrive. Hopefully my friend, Tom, would sit by me today. I can't stand any of the other people in this class. Too loud. I saw that rainbow haired freak Dante slide his way to his seat and scowled. He thinks he's so amazing. Really he's just an outcast. No one likes him.

I don't mind if no one likes me, which is a difference.

"F**k off, I'm uncultured," I hissed as I saw Reed look my way and make a disgusted face. Soon after, everyone quieted down as Mrs. Lansick walked in. She glanced around the room, eyes stopping on me for a moment before continuing. She's my favorite teacher. The only one who even bothers to understand who I am and where I come from. Most of the others just disregard everything I have to say. One time in freshman year, my German teacher failed me when she found out I was a Satanist. My parents sued her.

"Okay, class, as I told you before, today we'll be assigning partners for your gene technology project." Mrs. Lansick spoke softly. The class groaned. Two girls began eyeing each other and I saw them cross their fingers under the desk. "First pair... Dante Silas, and..." I pressed my lips together as she drew a slip from a jar. "Reed Weekes."

"WHAT?!" I shouted, looking at him with disgust.

I facepalmed and glanced at Dante. I must be having a nightmare. I kept quiet so I wouldn't humiliate myself like Dante. Tom glared at Dante with disgust and I mouthed, 'I know right?'

"Okay, Dante, you never know, Reed might be a great partner!" Mrs. Lansick smiled warmly and Tom piped in with, "Yeah, he helped me get an A last year!" I just stared at my desk, eyes wide. No, I can't have Dante. This can't be happening. I'll do all the work while e rants on about how Satan created the universe. Oh god.

I sat in silence as Mrs. Lansick named other groups. I could feel people staring at me like their eyes were daggers piercing through my head.

"F**k," I muttered, running my hand through the red streak in my hair. Eventually Mrs. Lansick finished reading out groups and sent us off to work together. I hesitantly stood up and walked over to where Reed was sitting, my arms crossed and my lips pressed together. "So," I muttered. Tom was staring at me as well as a few other kids. I scowled back at them, waiting for Reed's reply. Man, this sucked major camel balls.

Reed glanced up and said quietly, almost silently, "We should get started, obviously." He saw people staring and his face paled. He didn't want to be seen with Dante, of all people. He finished writing all the questions he had in his head about the topic and said, "Look at this paper, and choose a question that should be our main topic."

"Easy, let's do the one about genetically engineered vaccines." When he didn't respond, I added, "I like needles."

I looked at him with an 'Are you kidding me.' face and said, "Ooookay." and I wrote that down on the paper I use for planning. I propped my head up with my hands and gazed at him, looking for more that we should do.

"Now you do the research. I'm not much for that." I said with a dismissive wave of my hand. "I'll do the building and the models and the poster and such. But if you decide to stop being a complete *ss, I might just help out with research, too." I offered, smirking slightly and plopping down in the chair next to him, rolling my septum ring between my fingers. I was already hating life at this point. I couldn't imagine having to meet up outside of school with him, too.

"Kay." I said quietly and stalked over to the computers where both the members of 3 groups were. "Sorry you had to be paired with Dante."s surround me as I did my research. I wrote down everything I learned and I checked the clock. Five minutes before class ends. Huh. I walked back over to Dante and said, "This is as much research as I was able to do in 10 minutes." And handed him two pages of research.

"Sh*t, you're good," I mumbled as I looked over the research he had done. "Okay, I think we might be good to go ahead and start working on the model and such. Good job," I begrudgingly spoke, folding up the research sheets and putting them in my pocket. I'd do a model of the hepatitis B vaccine, maybe a model of another unapproved one. Class ended in five minutes. Thank god. "Hey, want to meet at lunch to discuss the model?" I asked, sighing after it came out of my mouth. There goes my only time for peace.

"Uh ,sure." I said, regretting the words right after they came out of my mouth. Why would I want to spend my time at lunch, with, with him? I nodded and sat back at my desk waiting for the bell to ring.

I nodded. "Cool." I said between gritted teeth, giving him the most fake and smug smile I could muster. "See you then."

[sure]

I walked to the table where Dante was sitting. I only had a salad and water for lunch. "So, what are we going to do for the model?"

"I was thinking the model of the DNA change in the bacteria for the hepatitis B vaccine." I stated bluntly, tearing into my PB&J and chewing with my mouth open. Anything to get on his nerves.

I nodded, eating my salad carefully. "That would be acceptable, I presume." I said and kept my eyes directed on my food. Anything to keep people from getting ideas.

"I thought of it, of course it's acceptable." I muttered, staring hard at him and waiting for him to react.

"Whoa, whoa whoa. Look who's sitting with the devil himself!" I heard someone say, and I looked up to see Lewis, the captain of the football team. He was your cliche football player. Big muscle, short hair, dumb, mean, lots of girlfriends. He had a few of the other players with him, too. "Reed, we knew you were messed up, but not like this, man!"

I nodded and rolled my eyes. Then I heard Lewis and chuckled. "It's for a project. Stuck with this freak." I said to Lewis.

"Hey hey hey, I don't like being called a freak." I held up my hands mock-defensively and glared at Reed, smiling slightly. "I'm just like you, and you, and you and you and you," I pointed to Reed, Lewis and the other guys. "Only better."

"Shut up, ***hole." Lewis said and I smiled slighty. Finally getting a taste of his own medicine, eh? I finished my salad and threw it away. When Lewis left I came back to the table. "Sorry about that, have to conform to what he says or I'll get another beating."

"Ah, so you like me then!" I spit back at Lewis, who scowled and walked away with his cronies. When Reed came back and apologized, I was kind of taken aback. What? He wassorry? "Understandable. We fought one time. I may be skinny but I can pack a few good punches." I demonstrated and uppercut and laughed, unsure of why I was doing so.
