Hello all!
My name is Mato, and I'm new-ish to the site but not new to rp-ing. Had an account a long while ago, but life got busy and I lost access to the email and couldn't recover access. 25+ years old, been at rp for probably 10+ years now. I'm an absolutely huge fan of world building/character building, and hoping to work with others to build cool settings to throw characters at and see what happens!
About me
-Would probably say I write at semi-lit, probably between that and lit.
-I can write a sentence or I can write a chapter, all depends on what's going on and what's needed to move forward with the plot/activity. I'm here for quality and a good time, not writing a novel if it's not needed. I'm not going to give a single sentence when there's a lot of things going on, but if there's something fast paced and reactive, then I don't see the issue with it.
-Big fan of OOC chatting, whether just to chill or to figure out what is going on in the rp.
-Also a fan giving time if needed to respond. I can get randomly busy due to work, as my day can go from easy to multiple hours of overtime due to a rogue power outage, and that can throw me off for days. I'm perfectly happy to extend patience to others if they're patient with me.
-I'm lazy with formatting! Expect very straightforward formatting such as with this post with just about everything else.
-I generally go for fantasy based RP's. Fantasy set in modern times is something of an interest to me lately, but I just like fantasy overall.
-I have zero interest in canon characters, if drawn into a fandom RP. Again, I have a bunch of interest in original settings that are cooperatively built, but I can be swayed into using systems built by games/shows and just running with it.
-I've seen that romance is a pretty popular topic/request in other posts. I personally don't care for it, but if it happens, cool. We can plan for it to happen from the jump, but if we go that route, I'd prefer a slow build to it, or something already established. I have zero problems with any kind of pairing, so long as it makes sense to the characters.
-I generally write male characters, but can write female characters too.
-Will write multiple main/side characters to make a world feel more filled. Will even flip among different main characters if we need a change of pace. I just expect the same out of you so I don't feel like I'm carrying a rp.
-I'm only interested in rp-ing in PM's. If we need to grow from there then that's fine, but generally I'm only interested in PM's for now. I have a discord I'm not interested in giving out, but I'm not against building out a discord just for anything built on here.
My limits
-I'd prefer my RP partner to be at least 18+. Got less in common with younger folk.
-Not a fan of extremes (extreme gore, etc).
-Not looking for short, one off type of roleplays. I like investing time in a world, its characters, and the plots that are in motion. Side characters doing a random thing though? Sure.
-Ghosting is perfectly fine! I get it, life is busy, and sometimes the social burn out is real.
-Not going to rp abuse of any kind. If it comes up in a backstory that's one thing, but even my worst characters won't do stuff like that.
What I'm looking for
I got a handful of plots/settings that I would like to grow. Tried to organize them into spoilers, will probably edit as needed.

Mentioned a bit earlier in my about me, but I got a huge interest in fantasy flavoring in modern/modern-ish settings. Give me dragonborn tossing a cell phone because they're mad at the lack of coverage, or dwarves fighting over the best way to do city planning, I'm all for that. I call it modern, but I'm perfectly fine with seeing advanced tech. People keeping pet wyverns and having to apologize to their neighbors for any thefts done by said wyvern just trying to grow its hoard? Let's goo. Also down for people/races having magic powers too, I got an electromancer elf character kicking around that I want more use out of. A lot of ideas are nebulous at best, so if you're interested in this, I'm interested in collaborating! (For the lack of better terms, just going to throw out D&D races, but this definitely doesn't have to be D&D based!)
Something more in a low fantasy, or mid fantasy? I'm a fan of JRPG's, so I'd like to see what can be done with building a world based around your normal entries (spooky woods, dangerous deserts, sky societies, etc), but then subverting those in some way. Or not even subverting, if we just like specific things JRPG's do well, let's grab it and run with it. Build out a world with your traditional mages/ warriors/rogues types, mix/match common character classes to build out characters or groups or societies, throw in some world ending because of a god but it really just started out with someone going out of their way to do something before domino effect-ing everything else.
Space saving for later.
Can be used in settings above, or somewhere else! Also up for suggestions, the list below is nowhere near all inclusive.
1 - Kingdoms at war - Probably a better plot for setting 2, 2+ kingdoms are grumpy over (issue), and each kingdom has their favorite way of solving (issue). One may toss their crown prince/princess at the other as a bribe, one might decide rolling an army in is a great idea, another might decide playing the spy network game and getting rid of the opposing rulers would be the easiest way to solve (issue). Sometimes summoning boss/deity-level monsters helps solves (issue), and a kingdom or two might turn to that. Or some other solution would work. Our characters could be anywhere from the rulers, to palace aids, to commoners, to travelers, whatever works.
2 - Gangs - Probably something to spice up setting 1. I'm always a fan of gang characters either overturning the gang, or an outside force putting pressure on a gang and seeing what happens. Or maybe they're a gang of thieves causing chaos in either setting. Open to suggestions!
3 - Meeting of the opposites - Opposite life experiences being forced together is always a good time.
4 - dragon hunting - Whether it's accidentally buying a pet lizard and it's suddenly wyvern/dragon, or crashing on an illegal dragon moving business, I've always had a neat idea of a bureau of magical creature hunting having to deal with nonsense. Have old OC's on both sides of the coin, a poor dude who just didn't realize his pet lizard is a cat size wyvern who keeps stealing his neighbors' shinies and they're starting to get tired of his apologies and returned items, and the agent who purposefully only deal with the lower tier issues until s/he is forced to something over their skill. Probably a good thing for setting 1? Or, setting 2, good old classic dragon hunters/riders/something are doing things.
5 - Classic JRPG points of conflict - Magic items gone missing, influx of monsters, magical users causing issues for the non-magical variety, those goddamned adventurers that seemed like they were the heroes are now suddenly defeated by the big boss of the realm and the B- team has to do something about it.
6 - Antiheroes/villains - Maybe as a side plot, but I'm always interested in well written and properly motivated not main hero people. Or maybe as the main plot! Up for suggestions as always.

Listed in no particular order, just what's rolling off the top of my head. Again, OC only. I'm familiar with the worlds listed below as well, and I'm not against pulling elements from them for above plots/settings.
-Pokemon (Probably just trainers with their pokemon on the side, I don't have the interest to rp just the pokemon themselves)
-Avatar the last Airbender
-Legend of Zelda (familiar with Twilight Princess, BOTW, Wind Waker, OoT, Skyward Sword settings)
-Dragon Age
-Final Fantasy (Most of them)
-Horizon franchise (Zero Dawn/Forbidden West)
-Full Metal Alchemist (I don't remember 2003, only FMAB)
-Bleach
-Shin Megami Tensei (Devil survivor 1-2 though it's been a very long time since I played either, Persona 1-5, Nocturne are what I know most about, somehow avoided playing the main damn games but I want to!)
-Dungeons and Dragons (Does this count as a fandom? It just had a revolt so I'm assuming so.)

This will be up shortly. Just ran out of steam tonight to finish typing it up.
