Year 2183. The entire galactic community chose to ignore Commander Shepard's warnings about the arrival of an ancient galactic race of sentient synthetics called the Reapers, whose sole purpose is to clear the galaxy of intelligent organic life.
Three years later, the Fall of Khar'Shan signaled the beginning of the Reaper invasion. Soon the Reapers started to appear in every corner of the galaxy, leaving only death and destruction in their wake.
The Reapers have finally reached Earth. The Systems Alliance continue to resist and fight, but it's only a matter of time until they fall. The Reapers are stronger, smarter, and have no mercy. The entire galaxy is at the brink of annihilation. And though these are dark times, there remains a single ray of hope, not just for Earth, but the entire galaxy.
Inside ancient Prothean ruins on Mars, Commander Shepard found blueprints for a device called the Crucible, which may be their only salvation against the Reapers. But things are not so easy. For the Crucible to be built, resources need to be acquired, alliances must be made, and wars must be ended. Commander Shepard must also deal with Cerberus, a rogue pro-human Organization that have become too involved with Reaper technology. For the galaxy to survive, Commander Shepard must fight. He isn't alone in this fight, however...
Year 2186, a Turian Spectre named Noctis Aurelion assembled a special team called Shadow Squad and chose to work closely with the Alliance's Admiral Hackett in order to assist the Crucible project. He has also reached out to the Shadow Broker in order to find leads and disrupt Cerberus operations across the galaxy.
