Seira's smirk grew as she caught Nessa's quip about lost thank-you cards and pens. The Asari's humour was sharp, a rare trait among the usual staunch rule-followers in C-Sec, and it was refreshing to see someone who didn't take themselves too seriously. Seira offered a dry chuckle, meeting Nessa's gaze with a raised brow and her head tilted.
"You know, I've been told I'm better off as a rumour anyway," she replied, her tone light. "Besides, I'd never survive the paperwork if you filed the 'Kaldera' affair by the book. I'll give you a few details if we get the time.
Seira returned attention to Elesi. "Perfect memory recall, huh?" she replied, her tone laced with amusement.
"I'm sure that comes in handy for patching us up, but I'm not so sure about never losing an argument. It could be a challenge there, depending on the outcome of the argument.
She folded her arms, giving Elesi an appraising look. "Guess I'll just have to see if that memory recall holds up under pressure. But hey, I'll take your word for it—until proven otherwise."
With a playful glint in her bright teal eyes, she added, "Though, if you ever do forget anything, just make sure it's not the part where you keep me breathing."

She then fell in line behind the Turian Councilor. As they moved through the ship, Seira couldn't help but take mental notes, observing the crew members stationed along the corridors and the subtle but significant upgrades to the ship's systems. She didn't engage much, other than a few nods as eye contact was made. Finally, they arrived in the docking bay.
Seira kept her expression neutral as the Turian Councilor detailed the Valkyrie's specifications and the features of the Firewalker. She listened carefully, absorbing every detail about the upgraded shielding, seismic radar, and the electrical pulse designed to ward off the galaxy's larger predators. Internally, she was both impressed and a little sceptical.
The Firewalker sounded impressive. A vehicle that could withstand a Thresher Maw? That was no small feat, but she'd seen enough "improved" tech fail under pressure to know it was better to wait and see how it performed in the field. The seismic radar was a nice touch, though—she could already see the value in being able to detect threats and terrain anomalies long before they became a problem.
As for the Valkyrie itself, she felt a grudging respect. The Normandy class had been a legend, and this ship seemed like a worthy successor. They wouldn't have equipped a vessel like this if the Council weren't taking the mission seriously. The realization steadied her and reminded her that they weren't going in under-prepared; they were being sent with everything the Council could throw at this threat.
Alright, Council, she thought. You gave us the tools. Let's just hope they're enough.
As the Councilors split off, Seira decided to follow the Asari Councilor toward the living quarters. The thought of staking a claim to a specific room didn't interest her much, but the prospect of checking out the kitchen and its provisions certainly did. A well-stocked kitchen would be more than just a luxury on a mission like this—it'd be a small, reliable escape from the grind of constant duty. Good food, something beyond standard-issue rations, kept people grounded, giving them a sense of normalcy no matter how dark the mission got.
She thought, " If the supplies are good enough, maybe I'll make a round of sushi some nights. The crew might appreciate a decent meal when the time allows."
Heading in the same direction was Ve'Nalia, the Asari Sentinel. Seira had noted her calm but curious presence during the briefing, and from what she'd overheard, Ve'Nalia seemed resourceful—a good trait in the unknowns they'd soon be facing.
As they moved through the hall, Seira glanced over with a slight smile. "Here for the best view in the quarters or just seeing what the Valkyrie has to offer?" she asked lightly, her tone friendly. "Personally, I'm hoping the kitchen's got something worthwhile. Mission's heavy enough already; a bit of decent food wouldn't hurt, right?"
