Also I have half a dozen or so characters between both universes that I have "plans" for. Is there a way I can reserve them? There're so many characters between both worlds it would hardly make a dent in anyone's ability to pick their favorite canon superheroes and supervillains.

If I may make a suggestion: as the storyteller you might be better off playing a more "impactful" canon character. And by impactful I mean more super, more power-relevant for world/universe shaping events.Apex said:
Deathstroke is a fantastic character, but he's primarily a street level player. He's on the scope of Green Arrow, Wolverine, Black Canary, Daredevil, Hawkman, ect. All of those are great, but they aren't a great way to push the plot forward for this RP. It's just too big a game board for those chess pieces if you get my drift. (^.^)
But if you pick a higher tier character like Thor, Superman, Wonder Woman, Professor X, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Dr Strange, Magneto, Black Adam, ect; then you can easily use your character to keep pushing a world scale plot along.
