I've got a whole cache of OC biographies I've written up and I'd love to get a few of them into a story so I'm looking for a character who is well-rounded and has room for development, preferably another OC or next generation character (Young Justice, New Warriors, etc.)
I'm drawn to action and suspense, psychological thriller stuff but I also love character development and creating a true bond between characters.
If this is something you're interested in: Please PM me!

Holly Bradbury ▶ Fourteen ▶ Student ▶ Mutant ▶ FC: Camren Bicondova
→ Background: Holly Bradbury was born a mutant with two sets of arms and legs extending from her body. These extra limbs were extended in the womb and during her early infant hood in order to fully mature. As a result of her extending appendages, Holly’s parents and all their doctors believed that Holly’s mother was having twins, so horror and shock cannot begin to describe what everyone felt when Holly was born. Despite their daughter’s freak mutation, Holly’s parents had been trying for more than a year to have a child and weren’t willing to give up their only daughter so soon.
For three years, Holly’s parents struggled to raise their daughter but it was impossible to reach out for help. They couldn’t hire a sitter, send her to any kind of day care, and could barely rely on family members for help. Holly’s life took a turn for the worst when her mother committed suicide under mysterious circumstances, leaving her father to take care of Holly… but not without the help of his brother. Godfrey Bradbury, Holly’s uncle, was an aloof character held under suspicion of being involved in organized crime and gang violence in the state of New York. Although the police didn’t have the evidence to prove his guilt, Godfrey was a notorious criminal and it was he who had planned the death of Holly’s mother and, later, that of her father as well.
He played the part of a grieving brother well in court and “valiantly” took custody of his niece. His motive was to use Holly in his special line of business, he saw her and her powers as a valuable tool, or at the very least a good scare tactic. In order to lower suspicion, Godfrey waited two years, just a few days before Holly was expected to begin kindergarten, to disappear with her. Under several different false identities, he roamed the country with his 5-year-old niece and began training her to use her extra appendages to help him pull off heists and petty crimes.
By the time Holly turned 11, she was aware of how harsh and cold the world could be. While she and her uncle were never exactly close, he was her source of food and shelter and they respected each other as people. She’d learned how to hide her mutation when she 8 years old and therefor had been going out in public more and more. One day while walking the streets alone in Ohio, she came upon a man being mugged and intervened to help. Although before she could do anything more than extend her appendages, the man being mugged took out his assailant with one punch and dusted off his jacket.
This man was Nick Fury and, after seeing Holly’s mutant ability, he immediately requested she come to Fury Academy to be trained. Fury never confessed to Holly that he had been scouting her for a few weeks before revealing himself to her. Holly argued that she didn’t need training because she could control her abilities just fine. So Fury offered her a better home, glamorous new clothes, and a chance to live a normal life… somehow Fury seemed to know more about Holly than she knew about him. Intrigued and starry-eyed, Holly accepted and never returned to her uncle again.

→ Abilities:
- Additional Limbs: Holly has two extra sets of appendages. One set sprouts from the sides of her torso and are identical to her arms while the second set sprouts out of her lower back and are identical to her legs. She can unleash the legs on command with almost no effort and has very good hand-eye coordination with all her appendages. However, her secondary set of legs are her least coordinated set.
- Wallcrawling: While her additional limbs appear normal and human, they are able to fasten onto and climb vertical and horizontal surfaces without falling.
Kelli Alexander ▶ Seventeen ▶ Student ▶ Mutant ▶ FC: Freya Mavor
→ Background: Kelli Alexander was never the brightest light bulb on the porch, her hippie parents would say, but she burns as bright as any star in the night sky. Kelli’s parents were always very honest with her, even when it would hurt her feelings, so even as a child Kelli was always very self-aware. While knowing her faults were a good first step to bettering herself, it also had a deeply negative effect on Kelli and caused her to be very self-conscious to the point where she hated the idea of everyone watching her, judging her. Naturally, Kelli has severe stage fright and is easily embarrassed.
Although at the time, she told herself her parents’ honesty was good for her, she knew deep down how much damage it was causing and she didn’t want her younger sister Donni to suffer the same emotional troubles she did. So she got into the practice of telling little white lies, shielding her baby sister from the cold, harsh realities of the world that surrounded them. But the trouble was, Donni was a mutant who shifted into a demon at random, and how could Kelli protect Donni from herself?
With her father drafted into the military and only their now-distant mother to watch over them, Donni and Kelli became close and Kelli was always there watching her sister to make sure she didn’t shift and go crazy in public or in front of anyone who shouldn’t know about her. Now that their mother had to work two jobs to make ends meet, Kelli and Donni were after school kids and one afternoon the after school group was brought into the computer room for free time.
When Donni and Kelli began fighting over the last free computer, they knocked the keyboard over and broke it. The teacher bolted towards them to assess the damage and scold as needed, but by the time she was at their computer station the keyboard was fixed, even the dings and wares from the first several years of other children using it were gone. The teacher was as stunned as Kelli was confused. So as soon as she left, Kelli used the computer to research what she had done and discovered that she was in fact a technopath.
Ecstatic that she has something special and different about herself just like Donni, Kelli almost spilled everything about her little sister’s shifting to her mother when they got home that night. She told her mother all about how she broke, and then fixed, the computer keyboard but her mother was not excited in the least about her story. Her mother, who has once been beautiful like her daughters, was now old and visibly exhausted of living.
The next day she contact Fury Academy and asked about sending her children there. While Nick Fury was only moderately interested in Kelli he was very adamant about having Donni Alexander attend and so offered their mother a scholarship of sorts and even arranged for an easier payment plan. Kelli and Donni now attend Fury Academy and while Donni doesn’t know why, she is in the Jean Gray Program.

→ Abilities:
- Technopathy: The ability to manipulate technology, Kelli loves her power and feels closer to her sister because they are both mutants. Ever since she discovered her powers, Kelli has been practicing on every electronic device she can. She can manipulate electronics with or without touching them and can identify even the slightest signals in technology which allows her to track electronic devices, such as cell phones, with her mind.
Donni Alexander ▶ Fifteen ▶ Student ▶ Mutant ▶ FC: Imogen Poots
→ Background: Donni is the second daughter of two sage hippies who grew up during the 60s and 70s in America. Not only did Donni’s parents witness a revolution, but they started one. They gave birth to one of the most powerful mutants known to humankind. But neither of them knew that their youngest daughter would grow up to be such a powerful being, to them Donni was just their newest little angel.
Donni herself never found out about her abilities because shifting into a demon took so much energy out of her she would collapse and sleep for an average of twelve hours. When she would wake up, she would have no memory of the incident. Donnie’s first shift, happened when she was just a toddler, at the age of 2. Her father had been drafted into the Vietnam war but registered as a conscientious objector. Unfortunately several uniformed men came to escort him to the military base for training, even young Donni understood the horror that took place before her eyes.
The trauma of knowing that her father was in immediate danger triggered her mutant abilities and she became a demon. She was unable to harm any of the men, but she certainly scared them away before they could take her father. When she shifted back and slept for 6 hours, she woke up with no recollection of the day before and only wanted to know if her daddy is safe. Sadly, her father had still ended up leaving for the military, her mother told a mortified Donni.
Although Donni had never realized it before, she was begin to wonder why her sister spent so much of her free time watching over Donni and took such a big interest in her life. She enjoyed the attention she got from Kelli, seeing as she only received negative attention from her brutally honest mother, but was still concerned about why. Donni has no idea about her powers but she’s starting to figure out that something is up.
Now that Kelli has discovered she is in fact a mutant with special abilities, Donni’s got more questions that ever. What’s even more confusing is that Kelli has been sent to a special school for young people like her, with powers, but she was accepted there too. Donni assumed she’s got some kind of gifts, but her sister isn’t dropping any hints or making Donni’s sleuthing conquest any easier. Nevertheless, Donni is determined to figure out what’s what.

→ Abilities:
- Demon Morphing: A combinations of shapeshifting and biomorphing, Donni has the power to transform into different demons. Unlike Demon Physiology, which leaves a mutant in a constant state of demon-like appearance, Donni can change her appearance at will. She cannot transform into other animals or other humans but she can transform into any demon creatures.
Sylvia Cavanaugh ▶ Eighteen ▶ Student ▶ Human ▶ FC: Leigh-Anne Pinnock
→ Background: Sylvia grew up on the streets with a gang of youths and no adults, the group was anarchist by default, not by choice, and lived outside of the law only because they believed they would die playing by the rules. Sylvia grew up with no respect for authority and a deep-seated hatred for police officers and adult women because she grew up thinking that cops were the enemy and her mother didn’t love her. Sylvia was violent even as a child and often got into fights with the other girls in her gang, causing the others to fight or flee.. and with her reputation, most would flee. Sylvia could keep up with her “brothers” without any problems and she even came close to being the leader of their gang a few times, although she was never successful.
One early morning, a large group of police officers swarmed their home, an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of New York and the youths were arrested or sent to foster homes. Sylvia was only 15 at the time and was taken to a foster home. She wanted nothing to do with any one there and instantly fell into the routine of bullying the other girls, all but one: Sydney, her roommate who refused to take any of Sylvia’s crap. After their first altercation, Sylvia realized that befriending Sydney was in her best interest. The two have been best friends since and work together like a well-oiled machine. Towards what goals, exactly, no one knows…
Sydney and Sylvia both hated the group home they were stuck in and spent many nights planning a great escape and discussing how they would survive as minors on the streets. They both believes beyond a doubt that they could not only survive but run the streets of New York. Sylvia was convinced that with Sydney’s help, she could reclaim her gang and begin to expand her empire to New York city limits. The night they escaped, Sylvia and Sydney experienced six hours of broken laws and unadulterated freedom before they were arrested by the police and taken into custody.
Nick Fury came to meet them and offered his help, explaining that he was interested in the two special young girls, and invited them to attend Fury Academy. With audacity, they declined. But Nick Fury already had all the legal parts worked out and by morning, the two were released to his custody under the condition that they join the Jean Grey Program and attend Fury Academy. While Sylvia is determined to get out one day and live independently with Sydney, Nick Fury is determined to turn her and Sydney into respectable young women with promising careers as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

→ Abilities:
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Sylvia is a natural born fighter and enjoys combining street fighting tactics with all kinds of traditional fighting including jujitsu, wrestling moves, and even attacks from Roman sparring. Not only does Sylvia specialize in hand-to-hand combat but she is also incredibly knowledgeable in torture.
Sydney Vaughn ▶ Seventeen ▶ Student ▶ Human ▶ FC: Aubrey Plaza
→ Background: Sydney Vaughn was abused by her single father for most of her childhood and was often told the abuse was punishment for her abrasive attitude. As a result, Sydney grew up to be quite and reserve, the type of girl who wouldn’t speak or act unless she had to. When she was finally taken into a foster home and away from her abusive father, she spent the first month in the home in silence, which led the other children and staff to believe she was a mute. Soon they found she could read and write and was actually very literate, intellectual. A methodical thinker, Sydney loved puzzle games and spent most of her free time doing cross words, sudoku games, and scanning the newspapers for any violent incidents.
When she met Sylvia, she saw a lot of herself in the other girl and they soon became best friends. Sylvia was larger and stronger and older than Sydney, but Sydney knew she was smarter and quickly became the brains of their deadly duo. Together they ran away from the foster home that they believed was holding them back. After a single night on the town, six hours of broken laws and unadulterated freedom for the girls, they were arrested and being held in jail waiting for their day in court.
That morning, Nick Fury himself showed up at the state jail and had the teens released under his custody. Although Sydney and Sylvia both expressed that they would rather suffer horrible tortures than leave anywhere with Mr. Fury, Nick had already made all the necessary arrangements. Nick Fury explained to them, without much sympathy or compassion, that they would be attending Fury Academy and be entered into the Jean Grey Program whether they liked it or not. A few hours later, Sydney and Sylvia were released into Nick Fury’s custody and brought immediately to the school. Sydney and Sylvia currently live with Jackson Fury in Stark Tower under the supervision of Nick Fury.
While Sydney still wants nothing to do with Fury Academy or any other organizations affiliated with Nick Fury or his school, Fury is determined to whip she and her friend into shape and give them careers as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The only person whom she spares her wicked mind games on is Sylvia. Sydney is quick witted and fast talking although she only tells people what they she feels they need to know.
