visage

height

5'11" or 1.80m

weight

170lbs or 77kg

build

Murdock presents with a lean, athletic build consistent with rigorous physical conditioning. Musculature is well-defined, favoring agility and flexibility over bulk. Broad-shouldered with a narrow waist; mesomorphic tendencies suggest high muscle-to-fat ratio. Weight distribution is balanced, indicative of extensive martial arts and acrobatic training.

hair

Murdock's hair is a tousled mop of strawberry blond, wavy and unkempt in a way that toes the line between polished and disheveled. It curls slightly at the ends when damp, brushing against his brows and ears—a little too long to be neat, but not long enough to seem unprofessional. In daylight, the red-gold strands catch the light like copper wire; at night, it darkens into something almost auburn.

eyes

Formerly blue. Post-incident, both sclera and irises exhibit pronounced leukocoria (milky discoloration), with only faint peripheral pigmentation suggesting prior coloration. Physical scarring surrounds both eyes—tissue damage consistent with chemical exposure and cranial trauma. In-person reports describe the subject’s gaze as “unsettling” when unshaded, with a striking contrast between his pale, clouded eyes and the residual dark pigmentation of the irises. Subject frequently wears tinted or opaque glasses in public; when removed, the effect has been noted to cause discomfort.

distinct. features

Subject 3314 displays notable subdermal scar tissue across the torso, shoulders, and upper arms, with patterns indicating repeated blunt trauma, puncture wounds, and deep lacerations from adolescent and early adult combat engagements. Scars are healed but remain visible, particularly under certain lighting or stress. Additional burn scarring is present behind the right ear, trailing down the neckline, faint yet noticeable upon closer inspection, and likely connected to the original chemical incident. The knuckles are hardened, with slightly raised tendons, and microfractures across the forearms suggest frequent blunt-force impacts typical of street brawling.

02.

psyche

Matt Murdock presents with a complex and dualistic personality, characterized by a distinct dichotomy between his outward persona and a darker, more violent alter ego. Externally, Murdock exhibits the characteristics of a "boy next door"—charming, intelligent, and deeply empathetic. He demonstrates a natural charisma and a light sense of humor, which he uses to disarm and foster relationships. His generosity, commitment to fairness, and belief in justice are central to how he operates in both his professional and personal life.

As a law clerk, Murdock has proven himself highly capable and hardworking. He applies a deep sense of idealism in his legal work, advocating for fairness and defending the rights of the underprivileged. He often goes above and beyond in his duties, dedicating himself to helping those in need and ensuring that justice is served within the confines of the law.

However, this public persona masks a much darker side. Murdock's traumatic experiences, including his exposure to radioactive waste during his childhood and the murder of his father, have instilled in him a sense of profound disillusionment with the legal system. His more brutal alter ego is a direct result of this internal conflict—when this persona takes control, Murdock becomes a cold, brutal, and remorseless individual. Driven by vengeance and a warped sense of justice, he has shown a willingness to take extreme measures to achieve his own form of retribution, bypassing legal protocols entirely. This shift often results in acts of violence that are disproportionate and ruthless, with little regard for due process or ethical concerns.

In this state, Murdock becomes capable of extreme brutality. His sense of justice is shaped by a personal code that is often violent and unforgiving, justifying his actions by his belief that the system itself is inherently flawed and incapable of delivering true justice.

Behavioral Tendencies
  • Professional Demeanor: Murdock is generally seen as an upstanding, hardworking law clerk. He is punctual, diligent, and excels in legal research and case analysis. His presence in the courtroom and legal proceedings is one of professionalism and dedication to justice.
  • Internal Struggle: Outside of his professional life, Subject is often seen grappling with his darker impulses. While he is highly self-disciplined, the temptation to take justice into his own hands is ever-present. When not actively engaged in legal work, he often retreats inward, reflecting on his actions and fearing the loss of control.
  • Vigilante Behavior: Murdock’s darker alter ego is activated when he perceives an injustice or threat that the law cannot or will not address.
Recommendations for Engagement
  • Murdock should be monitored closely, especially given his volatile personality. His sense of justice can shift rapidly depending on the situation, making him an unpredictable element. While he adheres to the law in his public role as a law clerk, his violent tendencies and vigilante behavior pose a potential risk. Engagements with Murdock should take into account his duality and be prepared for the possibility of his darker persona taking over in high-stress situations.
  • It is advisable to leverage Murdock’s sense of idealism when attempting to influence his behavior in legal matters, but extreme caution is advised if attempting to involve him in operations outside of his professional capacity. Should Murdock’s darker side be triggered, he could become an uncontrollable and dangerous asset.

likes

Subject regularly volunteers at a legal aid clinic, providing pro bono services to underprivileged individuals, particularly those who cannot afford legal representation. This aligns with his strong sense of justice and commitment to the marginalized. Subject also practices meditation, which serves as a means to control his heightened senses and maintain mental clarity. Audiobooks are a consistent part of his routine, with a particular focus on law, philosophy, and classic literature, helping him stay grounded and entertained. His Catholic faith remains a cornerstone of his identity, with active participation in church community engagement and social justice initiatives. Subject begins his mornings at Josie's Café, a local breakfast spot, where he enjoys a quiet meal, using the time to reflect and prepare for the day ahead.

dislikes

Murdock exhibits heightened sensitivity to various environmental, emotional, and sensory stimuli, with several specific triggers that cause noticeable discomfort or frustration. He appears to react defensively to tactile contact near his burn scarring, particularly around the neckline and behind his right ear, areas marked by the chemical trauma from youth. Though he rarely verbalizes this discomfort, signs of unease such as muscle tension and subtle shifts in his breathing are evident. Politically, Murdock has a strong distaste for doublespeak and legal loopholes, especially when the law is twisted to exploit or corrupt, leading to visible frustration through tightened jaw or careful, deliberate challenges. His deep-rooted anger also surfaces when confronted with corruption in any form, whether institutional, corporate, or governmental, often prioritizing these cases over his own well-being. Murdock also becomes irritated when patronized, particularly by authority figures, though he typically conceals his offense behind a composed demeanor, responding with a sharpened tone and assertiveness. His heightened senses make him particularly vulnerable to certain environmental factors, such as aerosolized capsaicin or airborne particulates, which cause intense sensory discomfort. Subject also struggles with environments filled with excessive noise, like construction zones or crowded subway tunnels, which leave him drained and more irritable after prolonged exposure.

quirks

Subject’s routine is highly structured and deeply ingrained in his day-to-day life. His mornings are predictable, providing a sense of control and stability before the chaos of the day sets in. He follows the same series of steps every morning—his alarm goes off at the same time, his bed is made in a specific way, and he gets dressed in the same order, ensuring everything is exactly where it needs to be. Items in his apartment are meticulously organized, with things labeled in braille for ease of access. His clothing is always arranged the night before, and his bills are folded in particular ways to help him identify them without even needing to touch the numbers. This consistency helps him navigate the world with confidence and reduces the overwhelming bombardment of sensory input he experiences otherwise.

When moving around, Subject often prefers to use his hands to guide him, especially in familiar environments. While he does carry a cane, he sometimes feels it’s unnecessary, particularly when he’s in spaces he knows well. He may instinctively reach out to feel the edge of a table or doorframe instead of relying on the cane, using tactile feedback to assess his surroundings. This reliance on touch reflects both his comfort in his own space and his desire for precision and control. However, in unfamiliar places or when he needs a moment to center himself, he’ll pull out his cane, although it’s clear he sees it more as a tool for specific occasions rather than a constant necessity.

When facing overwhelming situations, Subject also carries a personal object, often a small rosary in his pocket, as a tactile anchor. The sensation of the beads running through his fingers helps ground him, providing a moment of comfort and focus, especially when his heightened senses or stress levels begin to overwhelm him. He is also seen gripping his cane at times in stress.

fears

Subject exhibits a profound internal struggle with his darker persona, which he refers to as "the Devil." This persona emerges in moments of emotional distress or intense combat, transforming Murdock into a brutal, vengeful figure who seeks retribution without moral restraint. He fears that each time he succumbs to this darker side, he loses his humanity, becoming the very thing he once swore to fight against. This fear is compounded by his Catholic faith, which emphasizes forgiveness and redemption, directly contradicting his belief that some criminals deserve only death. Murdock’s internal battle causes significant emotional strain, leaving him with feelings of guilt and self-loathing after violent encounters. Despite his typically restrained nature, moments of unchecked violence arise when he believes some individuals are beyond redemption. This conflict has led Murdock to question whether his actions are a form of divine punishment or a test of his faith. His fear of losing control, coupled with the shame of his darker impulses, causes him to isolate himself emotionally and avoid close relationships. While he presents himself as a law clerk in New York, this ongoing internal struggle is a crucial aspect of his psyche and will likely impact his future decisions and actions, posing potential risks to both himself and those around him.

Abilities

powers and abilities

Due to exposure to waste from [redacted] — Element 115 — at a young age, Subject 3314 has exhibited a level of superhuman senses and enhanced stature. Based upon field analysis and investigation, we conclude that Matt Murdock has developed the following:

Enhanced Hearing:
Capable of isolating specific frequencies and distinguishing voices, heartbeats, and subtle sounds across vast distances. Subject can detect irregularities in vocal tone, breath rhythm, and heart rate—allowing him to identify deception or physiological distress with acute accuracy.

Radar Sense:
The subject possesses a form of echolocation functioning as a 360-degree “radar” or spatial awareness field. Through interpreting micro-changes in air pressure, vibrations, and ambient sound, subject is able to navigate complex environments, detect movement, and identify structural layouts with uncanny precision. This sense compensates for his blindness, though it is not a direct analog to visual sight and is affected by environmental disruptions (e.g., white noise, extreme weather).

Enhanced Smell & Taste:
Subject’s olfactory and gustatory systems are magnitudes above baseline human capacity. He can identify individuals by scent alone, detect trace chemicals, and “taste” elements in the air. These senses are also highly reactive to irritants like smoke, capsaicin, or industrial toxins, occasionally leading to sensory overload.

Enhanced Touch:
Subject’s tactile sensitivity enables him to read printed text by feeling ink impressions on paper. He can detect micro-vibrations through surfaces, allowing him to anticipate movements and even monitor conversations through shared material resonance (e.g., floors, pipes).

Synergetic Stimuli Premonition:
Exposure to Element 115 (linked to specimen #42 — “Arachne Strain”) creates a neural phenomenon in which the subject’s enhanced sensory faculties — auditory, tactile, olfactory, gustatory, and kinesthetic — form a synergetic network that unconsciously compiles micro-stimuli to anticipate short-term environmental shifts. This culminates in a predictive “premonition” or instinctual foresight that Subject 3314 experiences.

Accelerated Immune Response:
Subject's immune system operates at an enhanced rate, enabling rapid resistance to infection, quicker healing from wounds, and improved resilience under stress. While not on par with mutants or meta-human individuals, subject can recover from bruises, broken bones, and minor internal injuries faster than average, provided sufficient rest. This system also contributes to his endurance, allowing him to operate for prolonged periods with little downtime.

Enhanced Musculoskeletal System (Radiation-Induced Adaptation):
Subject's exposure to the radioactive compound responsible for his sensory mutation appears to have also initiated subtle, systemic changes in his musculoskeletal structure. While the primary alterations were neurological, secondary adaptations emerged through sustained dermal absorption and cellular response to the mutagenic material. His bone density, muscle fiber efficiency, and connective tissue strength have all been enhanced to above-average human levels. These changes support a heightened degree of flexibility, reflex responsiveness, and physical endurance. Subject is capable of delivering concussive force beyond what his stature would suggest and can sustain peak performance longer than unmodified individuals. Despite these advantages, the enhancements do not grant immunity to physical damage—subject remains vulnerable to injury from sufficient force or weaponry.

combat skills

Hybrid Close-Quarters Combatant:
Subject is a highly skilled martial artist trained across multiple disciplines, including Boxing, Judo, Muay Thai, Ninjutsu, Kali, Wing Chin, Jeet Kune Do, Wushu, Tae Kwon Do, and Silat. His foundational style stems from traditional boxing, a craft passed down from his father and later refined through years of rigorous training with Subject 2899: codenamed Stick; street adaptation; and disciplined teachings from self. Over time, he has integrated a versatile range of techniques — throws, joint locks, redirection tactics, disarms, and weapon-based strikes — resulting in a fluid, hybridized combat style that adapts dynamically in real time.

In close quarters, subject demonstrates a balance between the precision of a tactician and the temperament of a brawler. His approach is punishing and relentless, favoring targeted strikes, pressure points, and rapid disabling maneuvers. When disarmed or under pressure, subject’s style escalates into a form of controlled brutality, leveraging pain, leverage, and rhythm disruption to overwhelm stronger or more armed opponents.

notable weaknesses

Sensory Overload:
Due to the subject's heightened sensory perception, he is particularly vulnerable to sensory overload. Sudden, loud noises, intense or conflicting sensory stimuli, and exposure to toxic fumes can lead to disorientation or temporary incapacitation. Extended exposure to such stimuli may further impair his ability to function effectively.

Sensory Stimuli Interference:
The subject’s radar sense, while highly developed, can be significantly hindered in environments with high levels of static interference, dense crowd noise, or when facing targets with mastery in bodily rhythm — Noted: Members of The Hand [see File 0042]. These conditions can dull the effectiveness of his radar sense, reducing his ability to detect threats or navigate his surroundings with precision.

inventory

Murdock owns a microfabric, elastic black shirt that is form-fitting and breathable, offering maximum flexibility and comfort. The shirt features subtle red lining along the seams, creating a contrast with the otherwise all-black attire. It is lightweight, durable, and resistant to wear, designed for stealth and physical engagements. His face mask [black] is a simple, fitted cloth designed to cover his face, leaving only the bottom half of his face exposed. It aids in concealing his identity during nighttime activities, providing an additional layer of anonymity while remaining lightweight and breathable for easy movement.

Donned in addition are black utility pants that are both durable and tactical. The pants feature several pockets and compartments for carrying tools and necessities, with reinforced fabric for resistance against abrasions while still maintaining flexibility for stealth operations. The design allows him to blend into shadows seamlessly. His black boots are sturdy, functional combat-style footwear that provides excellent traction and support for his acrobatic movements. They are fitted for silent, quick maneuvers, offering both comfort and utility for urban environments, and are built to handle any terrain or situation.

To carry his escrima sticks, Murdock uses a custom harness worn over his torso. This harness is designed for comfort and ease of access, allowing him to quickly retrieve his weapons. It also offers extra support during physical confrontations or acrobatics. His hand wraps are tightly wound around his hands, offering protection for his knuckles and wrists during combat. The wraps enhance his grip while providing additional support and preventing injury from abrasions. His combat gloves are tactile and flexible, providing full range of motion while protecting his hands from impacts. They ensure that Murdock maintains control during strikes and grappling, minimizing the risk of injury.

Outside of his vigilantism, Murdock relies on an AMBUTECH Graphite Mobility Cane to navigate and maintain spatial awareness, especially in unfamiliar or intricate environments. While he occasionally forgoes the cane, trusting his heightened senses to guide him, it remains an indispensable tool for ensuring safe and efficient movement. For vision, Murdock wears ANNE ET VALENTIN M.2 black glasses with custom ruby lenses. These glasses are not only integral to his daily life but also help him maintain a semblance of normalcy. The ruby lenses subtly mitigate discomfort in others because of his eyes, providing social utility.

history

Occupation

Murdock operates as a Law Clerk for Judge Vivian L. Hargraves of the Southern District of New York.

Backstory

Born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, Matthew Murdock came into the world surrounded by concrete, cigarette smoke, and the muffled violence of a neighborhood caught in the crossfire of organized crime and working-class struggle. His father, Jack “Battlin’ Jack” Murdock, was a local boxer known for his brutal style in the ring and his quiet loyalty outside of it. Though a man of few words, Jack was known to love his son fiercely — even if he didn't always show it the right way. He worked as a collector for local boss Roscoe Sweeney also known as The Fixer, doing what he had to in order to keep food on the table. Jack never wanted Matt to follow in his footsteps.

Despite Jack's best efforts to keep him out of trouble, young Matt was a firecracker — stubborn, hotheaded, and wild. He often found himself scrapping with neighborhood boys, fists swinging before words were exchanged. Still, there was brilliance behind the bruises. Matt was sharp, witty, and academically gifted — traits nurtured, in part, by his grandmother, a devout Catholic woman, made of rosaries and iron, who dragged both Jack and Matt to mass every Sunday. Though neither man was particularly religious at the time, church became a place of ritual and routine, one of the only peaceful constants in Matt’s life.

Everything would change when Matt was eleven.

One summer afternoon, he was mid-fight with a group of older boys when convoy 73—carrying radioactive waste from Element 115 swerved out of control. Despite his injuries — and despite the fact that the boys were hardly worth saving — Matt shoved them out of the way, taking the brunt of the crash himself. A canister containing waste burst, spilling its contents into Matt’s eyes and bloodstream. The accident robbed him of his sight... but awakened Matt to greater things.

As Matt’s vision faded, his other senses sharpened to terrifying degrees. He could hear hearts beating through walls, taste lies on people’s breath, and feel every vibration in the air like sonar. The world became a hurricane of information, nearly impossible to process. Bedridden and blind, he began to isolate. But something changed in him — a cold, obsessive drive to understand what he’d become. With his physical outlet gone and the streets no longer safe, Matt turned inward. He buried himself in schoolwork and grew more disciplined, trading his fists for focus. Still, the beatings didn’t stop. Kids pushed him, tested him. He let them, most of the time — until one day, a blind man intercepted the fight, fending off the attackers with ease. This man was later identified as 'Stick', a grizzled and hardened warrior with an agenda of his own.

Stick saw potential in Matt, not just because of his abilities, but because of his rage. Under Stick’s brutal tutelage, Matt learned to harness his heightened senses into a weapon. He was trained in martial arts, tracking, stealth, and philosophy — all under the guise of preparing him for something larger: a war in the shadows. But Matt’s training was never easy. Stick was relentless, emotionally distant, and demanded detachment — something Matt, with his bleeding heart, could never quite give.

At seventeen, Matt's life was once again shattered. Jack Murdock had agreed to throw a fight — his last — in exchange for a large payout. But in a final act of defiance and dignity, he won the match, betting every cent he had on himself. The winnings were deposited into an account for Matt’s future. Hours later, Jack was found dead in an alley.

Matt was left in the care of his grandmother, but the grief weighed heavy on both of them. Two years later, she passed away as well. Alone but not aimless, Matt used the settlement money from the waste company, combined with his father’s winnings, to put himself through Harvard. His focus? Political Science and Philosophy — subjects that helped him understand power, suffering, and the structures that failed people like his father. He graduated early with top marks as Magna Cum Laude.

Matt moved to New York City proper and was accepted into Columbia Law School. There, he honed his legal acumen, particularly in criminal law and constitutional rights. He interned at Legal Aid, took pro bono cases, and began to see how often the law bent for the rich and crushed the poor. Around this time, he began roaming the streets again — at first just walking, listening, learning. Then acting. A ski mask. A black hoodie. A brutal, merciless style of justice carried out in silence.

Still, he kept a low profile — until the media exploded with images of a so-called Spider-Guy swinging through Manhattan. The world was changing. Masks were emerging. Costumed heroes — or threats — were starting to shape public fear and fascination. Inspired by this shift and driven by his own moral code, Matt stepped further into the dark. In time, he graduated from Columbia Law Summa Cum Laude alongside his close friend Foggy Nelson (Cum Laude).

Matt ended up forging his vigilante identity shortly after. A shadowy devil born from Catholic guilt, street violence, and a hunger for justice no courtroom could satisfy. By day, he was a rising star in the legal field, a man of calm intellect and righteous charm. By night, he was something else — a shadow in the alleys of Hell’s Kitchen, a whisper of pain to the corrupt, and a guardian to the powerless.

psyche

Gwen is a free spirit and a rebel grounded by a firm understanding of right and wrong. Her passion drove her to apply her hands at many art forms, music being her main love. Her father's protective nature is strong in Gwen, driving her to stand up to bullies and help the downtrodden since she was a toddler. This can mean she dives into a problem before thinking things through. In social situations, this can also make her come off as awkward, but she has the humor and confidence to just keep going.

The loss of her father has left Gwen in a frail state. The fear of that moment and paranoia that she was left with has caused her to isolate from her friends and most of her family. Where she used to walk through the streets of Queens with confidence, she now looks on those streets as if every corner hid a threat. She feels some guilt that she couldn't do anything to save him or even herself. And especially, it kills here that the last words to her father were that she hated him. While she doesn't know it yet, these feelings act as a pressure cooker for her anger. A fire growing, looking for a proper outlet.

Though Gwen's new "friend" concerns her, the power it offers is intoxicating. A way out of the fear. A way out of the feeling of powerlessness. An outlet for the rage. But the memory of her father and what he would say about her actions. It keeps her from fully giving in to gooey's desires. While its appetites are becoming well known to her, its goals are still unknown. And she fears it will test her willpower to her limits to keep on the straight and narrow path.

history

Occupation

Aspiring V-Tuber, vigilante

Backstory

Born and raised in New York, Gwen lost her mother to cancer while young. Her father, Police Officer George Stacy, took up a desk job at the department after the passing of his wife. Though it slowed down his career, it gave him more stable hours and less risk, giving him more time to focus on raising Gwen. The duo's relationship flourished, with George often being strict with Gwen, but also encouraging her to express herself, both in their communicating with each other and artistically.

As Gwen entered high school, George began to get his career back on track, going up in the ranks and gaining a reputation as a good cop. At first, both father made the adjustment to him being away more well. But as time went on, Gwen started to notice a change in her father. He was more tense, more prone to anger. Worst of all for Gwen, their policy of being honest and open to each other seemed to be broken, with clear signs he was lying about something at work. While Gwen tried to be understanding, it caused tensions to rise in the Stacy Household. It came to a head the night before George's promotion to precinct captain when a disagreement over her new band turned into a screaming match. It ended with Gwen saying that she hated him and trying to storm out of their apartment. That's when their neighbor Mr. Ivanov met her at the door, grabbed her and held a gun to her head to get George to comply. The next few hours were pure hell as Gwen was tied up and George was tortured. Mr. Ivanov kept asking how much George knew about "the Kingpin". Eventually, Ivanov freaked out and shot George, killing him. He dragged Gwen along with him, using her as a shield versus some unknown pursuer. With her kidnapper distracted, Gwen clawed at his face with her bound hands. Part of his face tore off, revealing an almost featureless face with pure white skin underneath. Time seemed to stand still for a moment, but ended with Gwen being shot and left to bleed out.

Gwen woke up in the hospital, with her Uncle Arthur Stacy and Aunt Nancy there by her side. Over the next few days, she got information bit by bit. She had been found by police, with suspicion that she had received first aid from one of those vigilantes that have been popping up. It was revealed that Mr. Ivanov's body was found and he had been dead for weeks, and by her description had been replaced by a freelancer called the Chameleon. When she was eventually discharged from the hospital, she was taken in by her Aunt and Uncle. They moved upstate for a few months while a manhunt for Chameleon was carried out, but the hunt came up with nothing. Returning to Queens, Uncle Arthur got Gwen her own apartment next to theirs to give her some more independence and hopefully push her to get her life back on track. But she continued being a shut in, avoiding outside people.

Even before returning to Queens, Gwen began trying to piece together exactly why her dad was targeted and who this "Kingpin" is. Though fear kept her from going out to investigate, the online age came to her aid. Using her computer knowledge, she began looking into dark web conspiracies, hacking into cameras around New York to try to track Mr. Ivanov's moments before and after he was killed. This form of investigation was slow going, but it was safe. While most of what she found led to dead ends, she was convinced that this Kingpin was a very big player in the underworld, inspiring the kind of fear that would make Hydra blush. But she caught a break when someone who meet with the Chameleon Mr Ivanov, a small time mobster named Turk Barrett, popped back up in New York. He apparently went missing a few months after George Stacy's death. Word online was that he got into some weird occult crap, but he had been seen near one of his old properties. Though still paranoid and fearful, Gwen snuck out to check on this lead herself, resolving to use a drone to get a closer look.

Things went horribly almost immediately when she arrived at Barret's old warehouse. Just as Gwen set up her drone, she was grabbed by a couple of guys dressed in black. They dragged her inside, where she saw the people gathered around a chalked out circle with a lot of occult looking symbols. At the center of the circle is what looked like a bubbling cauldron of goop surrounded by fire. Gwen was brought up to a man in very fancy robes, who immediately began to demand if she was in league with the demon. She answered no, but he didn't seem pleased by this answer. He kept demanding to know, over and over again, triggering memories of the night her dad died. Seized by a panic attack, she lashed out, hitting the knee of one of the guys holding her. He yelled out and stumbled forward, knocking one of the torch holders put of position. Cries of fear heralded the black goo in the cauldron taking advantage of the hole in its prison. The goo became a whirling storm of tendrals and teeth, ripping through the cultists before they could regroup. The goo monster lunged at Gwen, who closed her eyes in fear. For a moment, she felt the goo envelop her. Then, new thoughts entered her head. Anger. Retribution. Hunger.

That was a week ago. Gwen tries not to think about this...creature now sharing her body eating most of the cultists before they could escape. But the power she felt with it was intoxicating. It promised It could help her find her father's killer if she helped it kill more cultists. And feed it. Wondering if this is how other super powered beings started, Gwen begans sneaking out to keep searching for evil. She didn't feel like a hero, but maybe she could still protect people from the poison that was growing in the Big Apple.

Has started using a slightly altered appearance and the name "Wanda" in her activities to prevent exposing her identity. For Wanda, the symbiote lengthens Gwen's hair and makes it black.
The Symbiote is predominately black and white, though it occasionally shows bluish veins and patches of reds and pinks.
Has been working being a solo music artist with a VTuber persona named "Gwenzelle".
"Ghost Venom" was the name on an empty file folder Gwen found in her dad's bathroom. When he found her with it, he got very defensive and told her to forget about it. She later started using it as her online user name for investigations into her dad's murder. ("And I like how it sounds.")

psyche

Stereotypically mild-mannered, always giving a small smile and a nod to everyone who can meet him halfway, Lin Lie generally presents himself as an amiable and friendly young man. Under the daylight, he meets everyone in his day to day with a sociable and agreeable exterior, a dry yet good-natured sense of humor, and a sense of comfort, especially to those within his community.

However, underneath that affable exterior burns a fiery determination in his heart. A drive to fight injustice and oppression motivates his every waking moment. These feelings had existed within him since childhood, honed and nurtured by the hands of K'un-L'un.

As the mysterious vigilante known as the Immortal Iron Fist, operating out of the Chinatown district of Manhattan and beyond, Lin Lie's persona becomes much sharper and more focused as if the mask is discarded and his true face is revealed to the world. Though not completely humorless, he becomes much more serious and driven when the mask comes on, thinking chiefly of the mission at hand, hoping that his single-minded determination will make up for the insecurity that dwells within his heart, the uncertainty that he is able to live up to his title, that he could ever make a difference.

likes

Green tea, pho, solving puzzles, cleaning, reading

dislikes

Police, wastefulness, guns

quirks

- Chinese Interjections - He has a tendency to insert certain Chinese words or expressions in between his English. A san, er, yi here, an aiya there.
- Public Meditation - If he feels the need to clear his head, he can and will start publicly meditating. Not going as far as to sit down while doing it, just holding a palm up and repeating short sutras, his favorites being the xinjing, nianfo, and yaoshi zhou.

fears

- Failure - He fears not just the act of failing, but being seen as a failure at large. Failing to live up to his namesake, failing to justify the life he came to lead, failing to protect anything.
- Alienation - An everyday anxiety that Lin Lie had ever since his childhood is the feeling of alienation, of being an outsider. Never quite fitting in, visibly foreign no matter where he goes. A feeling of dread that no one will ever truly understand him.

03.

Abilities

powers and abilities

Chi Manipulation: Lin Lie is able to focus his chi in order to bolster his physical attributes to superhuman levels for a short amount of time. This can manifest in several ways, such as:
  • Enhanced speed, reflexes, agility, and durability
  • Enhanced senses and spatial awareness
  • Light healing
  • In conjunction with the power of Shou-Lao the Dragon within him, Lin Lie can tap into the power of the Iron Fist and unleash devastatingly powerful attacks
Multilingual: He is also able to speak Mandarin and, to a lesser extent, Japanese.

combat skills

Martial Arts Mastery: Even without the power of the Iron Fist, Lin Lie is highly trained in various forms of martial arts, including Wing Chun, Shaolinquan Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Judo, and K'un-L'un martial arts, among many others.
  • His favorite styles are Aikido and Bajiquan, two styles that employ minimal movement yet opposite results, as Aikido is designed for redirection and minimal harm, while Bajiquan is employed for maximum destructive power that can even bypass defenses, including armor when used with chi-enhanced strength.
Though he prefers using his fists, he also knows his way around a few melee weapons as well, such as staffs, nunchucks, tonfa, and escrima sticks, if need be. His least favorite weapon is the sword. He also knows the exact location of numerous pressure points for instantaneous incapacitation, and is also a highly skilled acrobat.

notable weaknesses

- Chi Overcharge - Careless usage of his chi channeling can lead to burning and tiring himself out faster if he is not mindful of his actions.
- Only Human - At the end of the day, Lin Lie is still subject to normal human weaknesses, and for all his skills, a well placed attack can put him out of commission just as easily as it would most anyone else.

inventory

- Jade Pendant - Forged in the shape of a dragon, given to him by the elders of K'un-L'un, it reacts in the presence of magic. It was meant to help him track down the Sword of Fu Xi, but with magic being such a broad term, who knows what he'll end up stumbling into instead?
- Honda Rebel - A dingy, worn down motorcycle, mostly used for his day job on top of getting from one place to the next.

Delivery driver, vigilante

Backstory

Born to the name of Daniel Lin, the child who would grow to become the Iron Fist lived a quiet and unremarkable childhood in Irvine, California, alongside his older brother Thomas under the care of his two parents, immigrants from China. Despite his quiet, mild-mannered upbringing, Daniel had always felt like a bit of an outsider, an impostor living a life that didn't quite count within America. Someone who just plainly didn't belong in this place, yet he knew he wouldn't have belonged in the place that his family had come from either. But then, how was he supposed to put these feelings into words to people who had risked and sacrificed so much to come here in the first place?

And then, everything changed when Daniel was 14 years old.

His father, a dedicated archaeologist and professor, had uncovered what he believed was proof of a hidden, mystical city within the Himalayas called K'un-L'un, and was eager to confirm his findings and give his career the boost it needed. Noticing his son's despondency on top of that, Professor Lin decided to kill two birds with one stone and arranged for a family trip back to China, where he'd hoped to travel to the mountain range and put together an expedition. However, disaster struck when the commercial flight they were on suddenly began to mysteriously malfunction, causing it to horrifically crash into the mountains below and seemingly killing everyone aboard.

Everyone except Daniel Lin.

When the boy woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar room, nursed back to health by kindly monks who found him. To this day, he didn't know what news was more shocking; that everyone in his family had apparently died in that crash, or that his father's obsession, the mystical city of K'un-L'un, was in fact real, and that the monks there had saved him. During his stay there, it had been explained to him that the portal into and out of K'un-L'un only opened every ten years, and it was only a matter of cosmic luck that Daniel was saved like he was. After eventually recovering from his initial shellshock, Daniel accepted that he had nothing to return to back home without his family, and chose to stay in the mystical city to live among them. Ironically, the feeling of being an outsider never went away even when he became part of this population that all looked just like him for once. He was, ultimately, in a culture that he was not raised into, but he could learn of their ways.

Barely able to live with purpose however, Daniel began to wonder after a while if he had made the right choice to stay here, until a fateful encounter with the city's greatest warrior, Lei Kung, changed everything. Lei Kung decided to take in the boy as an apprentice in order to give him a new purpose for living, teaching him in the ways of martial arts and spiritual rejuvenation. Over the next ten years, Daniel proved to become his greatest pupil, learning to accept his tragic past and be given the tools to forge a new future. During this time, Daniel also learned of the city's culture and history, most notably learning that long ago, the ancient god of war Chiyou had been sealed away in a sacred tomb in China by his fellow gods due to his destructive ambitions for world domination, and that it was the duty of its mystical hero, the Iron Fist, to maintain the seals, which were slowly but surely weakening with each century, especially as no one currently held the title of the Iron Fist.

Finally, at the age of 23, Daniel underwent a ritual as the greatest warrior's greatest student to become the envied Immortal Iron Fist, which included doing battle with the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying, whose heart would grant him the power of the Iron Fist if he won. Ultimately, Daniel triumphed and killed the resurrecting dragon, harnessing the power in its heart and officially becoming the Iron Fist. Now tasked with the duties of the Iron Fist, Daniel is told the truth of the full weight of his responsibilities; Chiyou is much closer to breaking free from his seals than the citizens know, and his return must be averted if at all possible. The main problem is that the vaunted weapon that is uniquely capable of matching him, the Sword of Fu Xi carved from jade, had gone missing a century before, and only recently had the elders been able to divine its current location, back in America, specifically New York.

Burdened with this dark knowledge and given a jade pendant which is said to react to the Sword's magic if it were ever nearby, when the portal out of K'un-L'un opened another year later, Daniel made the heavy decision to leave his new home and return to his old one. Deciding to forego his identity as Daniel Lin since he had been presumed dead for so long, Daniel discards his name and rechristens himself as Lin Lie, the Chinese name that his parents had informally given him.

Over the next year, Lin Lie embarked on an expedition to return to America, finding base in Manhattan where he lives in the Chinatown district. By day, he lives as a delivery driver for a local restaurant to support himself, getting to know the only people here who could ever understand him, and by night, he operates as the vigilante known as Iron Fist, righting wrongs wherever he finds them along his journey to track down the Sword of Fu Xi.

Known Secrets

- The Mission - Tries to keep the full extent of his mission under wraps, both in case of alerting enemies and just plainly looking crazy.
- The Foreigner - Though "Daniel Lin" was born in America, "Lin Lie" is technically an undocumented immigrant, having snuck back into America after his extended sojourn in K'un-L'un.
- The Others - Known to have ties to other persons of interest, such as Luke Cage.
- Xiongdi - Lin Lie believes his whole family to be dead, but in truth, [REDACTED].

extras

extra

- He lives in a small, cramped apartment in Chinatown. Despite its small size, he made sure to make room for a small shrine with a Buddha statue and pictures of his family, to which he prays every night, or so he tries.
- Culturally, you're supposed to refer to a Chinese person by their full name, unless you have a close relationship with them, in which you're allowed to just say their given name. Being American born and raised, Lin Lie doesn't really care all that much himself, especially since he only adopted his current name recently, but a little decorum for its own sake never hurt anyone.

Dyed blonde hair that falls against her shoulders in waves but often lets the dark roots show through, too busy to keep it touched up and the way it looks has been growing on her. Whilst she's working it's often in whatever the current fashionable style is but it isn't a style she wears comfortably as much as she can fake it, she prefers it tied back into a ponytail or braided out of the way - a childhood of pulled hair in fights and a career where losing a fight can mean losing your head means she's most comfortable with it safely out of the way and as small of a target as it can be.

psyche

Lurking beneath the persona of the hour, the humour she uses to deflect when prying eyes see too much and the practised smile there's a foundation built on faultlines and a person about to crumble beneath the weight of the world. Daisy would think of herself as a kind person but she struggles to call herself a good person as she gives up more and more of herself in the name of something bigger than herself, some goal she prays it noble, as she signs herself away to a murky organisation that lives in the shadows and tells her that despite that fact she's in the light. She's brave to a fault in the face of danger, she'll run into a burning building if it means she can get someone out with little thought to her own safety and content to hurl herself into a wall until it breaks with single minded determination but she's a coward when it comes to introspection or difficult truths. Someone who would rather push things down than work on fixing them, distracting herself with her mission and orders so that she never stays still long enough to break - paper over the cracks in her moral code and hiding from the hypocrisy. Her job is all about the objective rather than staying around for the aftermath and that makes it easy to pretend the only cost of what she does is to herself.

As she's gotten older Daisy has become something between a walking bundle of hypocrisy, an object to point and shoot and a sandcastle being built to be washed away by the tide once her mission is over and she's sent somewhere else to be somebody else. Her profession means she's often building herself into many temporary versions of herself and always moulding herself to be what the situation needs - it leaves her as someone who isn't truly grounded to anything - rudderless and without a solid sense of self leaving her reliant on those around her to dictate who she is for her. Her childhood idealism gave way to the rigid rules of SHIELD, her constant moving about both as a child and an adult has meant she's never truly able to feel settled and so she often seems like someone who isn't truly in the moment. Eyes breaking contact to shift from side to side to see around you to the exit and foot tapping against the ground as she fights the urge to run. Unable to be open and honest even with herself.

As Quake, the SHIELD Agent, she is determined to see her goals through to the end no matter the personal cost - as Daisy the girl born and raised in New York she wears her heart on her sleeve and just wants to make the world a better place. Unfortunately for her the two rarely align and this is a mission where she is forced to stick around for the aftermath and see the consequences of the hard choices she feels she has to make.

likes

She has a soft bleeding heart for children, animals and those who've fallen through the cracks - it's something they've tried to train out of her but she still finds herself siphoning off money to charitable organisations or saving half her food for the homeless guy that lives on the corner of her block. Whilst she's not truly religious, finding herself unable to truly believe in the existence of something both all-powerful and all-loving, she finds the motions of religion comforting - the hymns and prayers were a staple of her childhood and they help ground her when she feels like she's spiraling. Her van is also a comfort, a small space that is only hers - not belonging to one of the many names she's been given or whomever it is she's pretending to be but Daisy Johnson's cluttered and cramped and beaten up van - she'll often crawl back to it after a fight and curl up on the makeshift bedroom in the back rather than making her way to whatever is supposed to be her official residence. It's not very good spycraft from her but she's generally diligent and paranoid enough to afford herself this comfort now she's back in New York. And she prefers being able to improvise rather than being beholden to rules or a schedule.

dislikes

Her heart of gold has become dulled and worn, a weaker metal than she'd imagined herself having when she was younger, bright eyed idealism replaced by a jaded acceptance you've got to do some bad to do a net good and a part of her hates it. She chafes against authority even as she obeys it, teenage rebel turned agent of big brother. Her turbulent childhood means she hates staying in one place too long, feeling as though if she stays still it'll all lock in place around her feet. Her relationship with her powers is also complicated, sometimes it makes her feel more like a weapon to point and shoot than a proper agent - the only reason a runaway teenager in the gutter got noticed by the big guys and she hates the hypocrisy of monitoring and bringing in powererd individuals whilst being a powered individual. The Index is the exact sort of thing a younger version of herself would have hated and yet she's one of the people putting those names on there, all beneath her own of course. And so of course responds poorly to introspection, preferring to hide and deflect with humour or the persona of a tough no nonsense agent often modelled after her mentors though it can often fall flat given how prone she is to recklessness or stuborness. She tends to keep people at a distance whilst being perfectly bright eyed and friendly, she so often has to resdesign herself that the idea of letting someone get to know the real her feels daunting and unnecessary - why bother letting people in when she can be whoever they want her to be? She dislikes not knowing where her exits are, not having an escape plan or a bolthole for her personal life, not having control over a situation and hates being patronised or treated as lesser than. Reacts poorly to people messing with her belongings even if it's something as simple as moving something on her desk. More ambident dislikes would be bland food, applesauce and hot weather.

quirks

Idle hands are the devils hands and Daisy has never been good at staying still, a constant bundle of movement and purpose, she'll have as many things as she can on the go at any one time and tends to keep spinning plates until she has no choice but to watch them crash into each other. She's hyper-vigilant and extremely protective over her own belongings and space, keeps her van fully stocked and ready to bolt at a moments notice even if using it as a method of escape and her home is poor spycraft - she's prone to emotional and sentimental attachments as much as she tries to shut them down and ignore them. When moving around she'll generally keep one hand slightly curled as though ready to push out against the world, always on the balls of her feet ready to jump or run at a moments notice unless she's actively suppressing it - movement and the freedom to do so is a comfort to her and so she's often found doing laps in her free time or walking as much of the city as she can. Whilst dark enclosed spaces were once a comfort when forced into them these days she finds herself relying on her powers to keep herself calm and alert, causing a minor rippling/buzzing in the air around her. She's also prone to trying to mirror and match whatever it is she thinks people want from her rather than being genuine, outside of her interactions with Wilf on the street corner or when she's finding herself personally involved in something even if she knows she should take a step back. Hides behind humour when she can. Throws herself into SHIELD for the chance at belonging somewhere. Plays a lot of tetris.

fears

Daisy worries she's doing more harm than good in the world, that she's signed her soul away and beholden herself to an organisation that isn't really that different from the ones that are trying their best to rule New York. That by forcing herself to colour inside of the lines she's risking watching the paper get torn apart. She fears that she's responsible for the people getting hurt whilst she obeys orders and focuses on the bigger picture, letting smaller fish swim away in the name of a bigger catch. And like most orphans bounced around the system she has a fear of abandonment, of never finding her place in the world.

It's something she has tried to overcome, that SHIELD has tried their best to effectively train out of her but she doesn't do well in enclosed dark spaces. Ever since the night she changed she cannot handle them, worried she'll bring the building down or finding herself frozen in the memory of that night being scared and young and unable to control what she was doing. Losing control over her powers and hurting innocent people is the real nightmare laying at the bottom of the rubble but it's easier to focus on the darkness creeping in that the bloody hands hidden by it. The need to control her powers extends to an extreme need for control over herself, repressing as much of herself down as she can in order to be the perfect agent that doesn't fuck up and whose powers won't hurt the wrong people but you can only push things down for so long before they burst back up to the surface.

Powers and Abilities

powers

Vibration Manipulation All existing matter and energy within the known universe vibrate at a specific resonant frequency on the quantum level and Daisy can feel and manipulate those vibrations. When focused, her abilities' extend to the point that she can create both force barriers and powerful concussive waves of sheer force. The effects of her blasts can vary from being weak enough to only knock opponents into walls and shatter windows to enough to break an opponents bone, knock them out or hold them in place but she is still working on being able to control the force of the blast in a way that doesn't cause herself harm or impact too wide an area that it is dispersed across it rather than concentrated where she wants. When focused she is also able to use her vibrations to deflect oncoming blows/create makeshift shields out of air.

>> Minor Levitation Daisy is capable of manipulating vibrations under herself to propel and levitate herself or cushion herself when she's falling.

[There's other stuff she grows able to do in the comics/mcu but feel like that would be a tad overpowered for the moment but I'll put it in here as something she may gradually be able to build up to or just for fun: Daisy can cause molecules to vibrate violently enough that the bonds between them are destroyed, causing whatever she is using her powers on to disintegrate into the atmosphere (think bullets) / She's also been shown as being able to feel for specific vibrations in order to break something specific apart (think jamming a gun/causing it to fall apart.) / She was also able to concentrate her concussive waves before releasing them as massive shock waves rather than her usual concussive bursts. / She also manages to absorb the vibration of an exploding bomb/earthquake but that feels as though it would forever be overpowered and just not fun.]

other skills

Trained Agent All SHIELD Agents destined for the field are trained in combat and despite her rather unorthodox recruitment she recieved the same training as the others. She tends to fight quick and dirty, trying to use her smaller frame and speed to her advantage by getting in close and moving fast when possible, using their strength against them and staying out of arms reach and using her powers to tire out bigger opponents. Employing a mixture of; Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Taekwondo and Wrestling. She's also been trained to use guns but she's a far better marksman when perched at a distance, using a rifle, than in a straight gun fight. She's also somewhat competent at stitching herself and others up albeit it is very much a patch-up job.

Skilled Spy Whilst her childhood gave her a basic education in charming, lying and faking her way into and out of uncomfortable and dangerous situations it was in SHIELD those childhood skills were turned into something finer. She's nowhere near SHIELDs best or brightest but she has a knack for survival and she has always been a quick study. She's adept at undercover assignments, has a keen sense of observation, adaptable problem solving and a good poker face make her a fairly skilled spy.

Multilingual After some light teasing about being a monolingual spy Daisy, beyond snippets of various languages she absorbed through being raised in New York, made an effort to learn Italian and Russian ahead of being sent on her latest mission. However she's far better at understanding and reading them than speaking.

notable weaknesses

Shockwaves: Everything has a price. When Daisy is upset, angry or otherwise emotional enough to lose control over her abilities she must channel her powers inwards lest she release them into her unsuspecting surroundings and those waves are powerful enough to shatter bone. She's prone to micro-fractures, her arms are often battered and bruised during these episodes leaving her overly reliant on her abilities during fights or having to grit her teeth and power through the pain - both options leaving her more vulnerable.

Sensory Overload: Inhumans seem to be as cursed as they are gifted in Daisy's rather limited experience, there is a constant sensation of buzzing beneath her skin as though a swarm is fighting to escape - she can feel the world around her as easily as she can see or hear it and it is overwhelming. It can distract her during everyday conversations and escapades, it is only in a fight when she finds herself truly able to focus. She's working on meditation techniques to help steady and ground herself to regain the focus and control she once had. If an enemy was able to generate and target her with enough vibrations/waves she'd be overwhelmed and find herself extremely off balance. A bit like fighting whilst drunk.

Still mostly human despite the name: Her abilities and alien lineage come with more costs than benefits, she's weak to anything an average person would be bar her SHIELD training.

Backstory

Born with a name no one stuck around to give and dumped on the doorstep of St Thomas Church the squealing bundle that would become Daisy Johnson was named Theresa Thomas. She became one of the many children raised within the system, bouncing between St Agnes Orphanage and a string of foster homes. In a way it was easier growing up being a foundling orphan rather than a child taken into the system, she never knew anything else - she counted herself lucky she would always end up back at St Agnes Orphanage whenever a placement fell through as it was easier to look forwards to returning than hope the latest placement would work out. She’d help out with the younger kids as best she could and had a good heart as much as she seemed to be a natural trouble-maker. Hell’s Kitchen was a trouble magnet and Daisy grew up smack dab in the middle of it.

As she entered her teenage years she got bolder, reckless in the way all teenagers are - so assured in their safety that there was never a question they'd make it home. It wasn't that she lacked street smarts but she'd grown cocky. Even with the resources of SHIELD she never found out who exactly it was that fateful night, she was nineteen and found herself wandering into an abandoned basement in some misguided quest for adventure. There had been rumours of people going missing, runaway teenagers and homeless drunks no one with any power to do anything about it would miss. She'd thought maybe she could help, maybe she could do something. She found destruction instead. Some strange experiment. She'd assumed she'd wandered into some drug lab at first, tried to talk her way out of it but they wouldn't let her go. Others were trapped there too and she tried to fight, scratched at them and hit out but she was used to school-yard fighting not fighting for her life. They overpowered her and put her with the others. Crystals with metal shards were thrown at their feet, the curious but detached eyes of a scientist watching from a safe distance, a strange crust rising up from the smoke and trapping her. Unable to move or see. Then the building started to shake.

Shaking and vibrating until it fell down on top of them all.

She woke up beneath the rubble and could feel everything, thousands of bees beneath her skin trying to break free - an endless bass rattling around in her skull and the back of her teeth, it was terrifying. She could feel every brick pinning her down, the rats running through the gaps, the traffic of the street outside - adrenaline sending her newfound sense into overdrive. The world was buzzing and she couldn't hear herself think, her throat was burning from screaming cries for help she couldn't hear herself make. She had been convinced she was going to die down there in the dark, crushed beneath it all when the world finally caught back up and realised she was still down there - that those senses were some sort of life flashing before her eyes experience. Instead what felt like days passed and then strange hands pulled her from the rubble, nameless faceless figures pulling her out into a world so bright it was blinding.

She had been disoriented, terrified of herself and the world around her and so she agreed to what they asked without thinking. A life on the index, big brother always watching. Maybe if the agent who found her had less of a bleeding heart, didn't see something in her that she hadn't thought was there, she'd live a better life - quiet and monitored but free but instead they made her an offer, told her she could be a part of something far bigger than herself and put her unique abilities to use. And she wanted it, wanted to do good, wanted to help people and learn to control whatever that had been - and so she signed up and became a SHIELD Agent. They told her the best way to move on was to let Theresa Thomas die in the rubble and so Daisy Johnson Agent of SHIELD was born. She chose the name herself, something that was truly hers rather than cobbled together based on where she had been dumped.

Five later it seemed the world was changing and it seemed her hometown was at the center of it all. Masked vigilantes roaming the streets with their own ideas of justice, criminal organisations bathing the streets in blood until a cult rose up baptised by the flood, whispers of abilities no person should have meant SHIELD had no choice but to investigate and who better to send than the woman who once called it all home?

Known Secrets

  • She's currently working for the Fisk campaign under her old name Theresa Thomas on behalf of SHIELD.
  • She's a powered individual listed on the index.
  • She siphons money from criminal organisations to donate to St Agnes Orphanage.

Abilities
powers and abilities

Wintry has the ability to freeze the area around her. She can lower temperatures around her quickly and mold the ice she creates to her imagination. Although, the more complicated forms take more concentration.
Her favorite creations are:
A shield that's her size, but since it's made of ice, to make it thick enough for impacts takes a good amount of energy.
Spiked Gloves. Sometimes she needs to provide an extra with her punches.
Spiked Boots. Same idea but on her kicks.
Full Spiked Armor. Dangerous because her body is exposed to the cold temperatures inside, but if you're trying to hold her down, you might just wish you hadn't.
Spiked Baseball Bat. You should see her pattern by now.
combat skills
G has learned kickboxing, taking classes since she was a child. She isn't the best fighter in the world amd because of her build she can't hit as hard as she wished she could, but that doesn't stop her from trying. She also takes gymastics classes lately, trying to improve her mobility, specially out on the streets.
notable weaknesses
Elizabeth is as fragile as a human is. Her body is afected by the low temperatures she can create, so she has to be careful when using her powers.
inventory

Metalic waterbottle, in case she needs water.
Taser if things get too serious.
Phone with her own operative system, still working on it but it's as good as an iphone so far.
A bat. Bats hit harder than she does.

history
Occupation
Student at NYU, Engineer. Professional League of Legends player and streamer.
Backstory
Elizabeth was born in California. Her father was a prodigy engineer who had started a tech company along with his trusted partner. When Elizabeth was 9, her father died in a mysterious experiment accident and in return, her father's business partner and best friend got full control of the company. Elizabeth wasn't left with anything though, her and her mother are set for life and she was given a schoolarship of her choosing. She decided to follow in her father's footsteps although she isn't a genius like him, she tries her best. Regarding her powers, they became visible when G was three. Once night the temperature started to drop during a hot summer day. It wasn't long before she had to be rushed to the hospital due to her body temperature dropping quickly. After Elizabeth lost concious, the cold in her body vanished. These incidents repeated themselves which led to her father working on a special suit to keep her safe. Sadly, he never got the chance to give it to her. Elizabeth was inspired by the heroes she sees on the news and video games. She spent a lot of time on the popular League of Legends game, becoming a top player and earning plenty of incoming through her tournaments and social media popularity. In secret though, she uses her powers to fight for those who can't defend themselves, although lately she hasn't had much time to do so. Her streamer career and her studies taking up so much time, she barely has enough to stay in shape.

psyche

Luke Cage is a man shaped by the harsh realities of his past, carrying the weight of his mistakes with quiet determination. He’s slow to trust and even slower to let people in, choosing to keep his emotions buried beneath layers of stoicism. Years of hustling on the streets and surviving the hellish environment of Riker’s Island have taught him that showing vulnerability can be a liability. He doesn’t wear his pain on his sleeve, but it’s there, simmering beneath the surface. His primary focus is survival — not just for himself, but for those he cares about. He’s fiercely protective of his family, though he keeps them at a distance, unwilling to drag them back into the dangers of his life.

Luke’s interactions with others are often marked by a quiet, guarded demeanor. He doesn’t seek out company or affection, preferring solitude to the noise of the world. When he does engage, it’s with a quiet intensity that makes it clear he’s always calculating the risks and weighing the consequences. He’s not the type to talk about his feelings, and his words are often short and to the point. He doesn't look for recognition or praise; his actions speak louder than words. Yet, despite his stoicism, there’s a part of him that deeply craves redemption — not just for the things he’s done, but for the man he could have been. This desire for redemption drives him to protect Harlem in whatever way he can, even if it means putting himself at risk. While he may not consider himself a hero, his sense of duty and quiet honor are what keep him going, even when the world around him feels like it’s falling apart.

Luke’s inner conflict between his power and his fear of becoming a monster often leaves him struggling to find balance. He holds back in situations where others might fight recklessly, knowing that once he lets loose, there’s no stopping the damage he could cause. He’s haunted by the idea of being a force of destruction, which makes him hesitate when faced with threats. Despite this, he has an unshakable resolve to protect the innocent, even at the cost of his own peace. In his mind, being a protector isn’t about being perfect — it’s about doing whatever it takes to make things right, one small act at a time.

likes

  1. Old Soul Music – Grew up on Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, and The Delfonics. It’s his escape. He’ll hum a tune while patching up his hoodie.
  2. Classic Cars – From his days as Cottonmouth’s driver, Luke developed a deep love for clean old-school rides. He can hotwire and fix up a '68 Chevy Impala with ease.
  3. Quiet Nights – After everything he’s been through, silence isn’t empty. It’s peaceful. It’s rare
  4. Concrete Work – Not just for the job. There's something therapeutic about pouring, leveling, and shaping raw material into something solid.
  5. Books on Strategy or History – Prison gave him time to read. He prefers nonfiction, especially about war, revolutionaries, and oppressed people fighting back.
  6. Cooking in Secret – Something he learned from his mom. Simple comfort meals — rice and beans, smothered pork chops, cornbread.

dislikes

  1. People Who Talk Too Much – Especially those who brag, lie, or posture. He values actions over words.
  2. Guns – He’s been around them his whole life. Even though they don’t hurt him now, he hates what they do to communities.
  3. Authority Figures in Uniform – Cops, COs, soldiers. Years of systemic abuse have left him permanently wary.
  4. Being Called a Hero – He doesn’t feel like one. That word feels too clean for what he’s had to do.
  5. Rainy Days – Brings him back to Riker’s. Cold concrete, no windows, wet cuffs.
  6. Broken Promises – Whether it’s family or friends, betrayal cuts deep. Still hasn’t forgiven himself for some of his own.

quirks

  1. Never Sits with His Back to the Door – Old street instinct. Always scanning exits, always alert.
  2. Sleeps Fully Clothed – A leftover habit from prison. Even naps are half-alert.
  3. Doesn’t Own a Phone – Says it’s for security, but part of him also likes being hard to reach.
  4. Carries the Same Chain He Escaped Riker’s With – He wears it or tucks it in his jacket. A reminder, a weapon, a symbol.
  5. Keeps Notes from His Siblings Folded in His Wallet – From when they were kids. He’s memorized them, but can’t bring himself to throw them away.
  6. Rarely Uses His Full Strength – Unless he absolutely has to. He's afraid of what he’s capable of when he stops holding back.

fears

  1. Becoming the Monster They Tried to Create – Deep down, he worries that Riker’s turned him into a weapon — not a man.
  2. Cottonmouth Getting to His Family – He left to protect them. If they get dragged back in, it would break him.
  3. Losing Control – He’s quiet, but there’s rage inside. If it slips, someone innocent could get hurt.
  4. Being Caught and Locked Up Again – Not just physically, but mentally. The thought of chains, needles, cages... he can’t go back.
  5. Jamal Dying Because of Him – He fears the cycle repeating with his little brother. That everything he did wasn’t enough.
  6. Being Forgotten – Despite all this, he quietly hopes Harlem will remember who he was. Not just as a fighter, but as someone who gave a damn.

Abilities

powers and abilities

While serving time on Riker's Island for a crime he was framed for, Luke became the subject of secret testing by the notorious scientist Dr. William Stryker, who was working to perfect the Super Soldier Serum. Having previously tested this serum on other subjects like Steve Rogers and Bruce Banner, Stryker aimed to refine it, and Luke was selected as a candidate. Over the course of years, Luke endured painful experiments that ultimately enhanced his body beyond human limits. Though the serum provided him with extraordinary durability, strength, and enhanced healing, it came at the cost of his sense of agency and his trust in those around him. Ultimately, these experiments gave him the powers he now uses to fight crime and struggle with his past.

  • Superhuman Durability
    • Description: Luke’s skin is incredibly dense, capable of withstanding bullets, knives, and other physical trauma without breaking. His body is resistant to extreme temperatures and blunt-force impacts, making him nearly invulnerable to most physical threats.
  • Superhuman Strength
    • Description: Luke possesses immense strength, far beyond that of a normal human. He can easily lift cars, break through walls, and overpower multiple armed opponents. His strength increases with adrenaline, turning him into a formidable powerhouse when fully engaged.
  • Enhanced Healing Factor
    • Description: While not as fast as some other enhanced beings, Luke’s body can heal much quicker than a normal human. Minor injuries like cuts or bruises heal within hours, and major wounds like broken bones recover much faster than a regular human’s would.
  • Enhanced Stamina and Endurance
    • Description: Luke’s body is highly efficient, allowing him to endure physical exertion for hours without tiring. He can push through extreme fatigue and continue fighting or working, even in harsh conditions, far longer than a typical human.

combat skills

  • Hand-to-Hand Combat
    • Description: Luke is a seasoned fighter with years of experience from his time working for Cottonmouth and in prison. He’s proficient in street fighting, combining raw strength with calculated strikes. His combat style is aggressive and no-nonsense, utilizing his durability to wear down opponents.
    • Specialty: He’s particularly skilled at grappling, using his strength to overpower and restrain enemies. He’s not afraid to throw punches, but he also knows when to take an opponent to the ground.
  • Weapon Proficiency (Improvised)
    • Description: While Luke prefers to rely on his hands and strength, he’s proficient with improvised weapons — anything from chains, pipes, or whatever else is available in the environment. His time working with Cottonmouth and in prison has made him adaptable in using everyday objects to fight.
    • Specialty: Luke has a particular attachment to the chains he used to escape from Riker’s. He’s very skilled in wielding them in combat, often using them to incapacitate or disarm foes.
  • Situational Awareness
    • Description: After years of being in high-stress situations, Luke is very aware of his surroundings. He can read a room, anticipate moves, and assess threats quickly, making him hard to catch off guard. This heightened situational awareness also gives him an edge when planning escapes or ambushing enemies.
    • Specialty: He excels in the "tactical retreat." If things get too overwhelming, Luke will figure out a way to slip away before things get out of hand.

notable weaknesses

  1. Prolonged Exposure to Extreme Conditions
    • Limitations: Despite his durability, extreme temperatures — whether heat or cold — can wear Luke down over time. His body, though tough, isn’t immune to environmental stress and can be overwhelmed in prolonged harsh conditions.
  2. Mental and Physical Strain
    • Limitations: Using his strength too recklessly can take a mental toll on Luke. He tries to conserve his energy and power, aware that overusing his abilities can lead to exhaustion or loss of control, especially if his focus wavers.
  3. Not Instantaneous Healing
    • Limitations: While Luke heals faster than most, his body doesn’t regenerate instantly. Major injuries, like deep gashes or broken bones, still take time to heal. He requires rest to fully recover, and severe wounds can incapacitate him temporarily.
  4. Fatigue from Prolonged Combat
    • Limitations: While Luke’s stamina is far superior to a normal person’s, he still has limits. In long, drawn-out battles or against multiple foes, his endurance can be tested. If he’s overwhelmed by too many opponents or forced into continuous combat, his physical condition will eventually suffer.

inventory

  1. The Chains (from Riker’s)
    • Description: A pair of heavy, thick chains Luke used to break free from his Riker’s Island cells. He wraps them around his arms or uses them as improvised weapons. They are a constant reminder of his past — the key to his freedom.
    • Use: These chains are his signature weapon. He uses them to block attacks, bind enemies, or even strike like whips. They can also be used to scale buildings or knock out power grids if needed.
  2. Steel-toed Boots
    • Description: Luke wears durable boots, worn and weathered, but perfect for his physicality. The steel toes aren’t just for protection — they can be deadly when he’s kicking down doors or striking enemies.
  3. Construction Gear (Hard Hat, Gloves, and Tools)
    • Description: His cover job in construction gives him the perfect disguise. He keeps a set of work gloves and a hard hat in his bag, sometimes carrying smaller tools (crowbars, wrenches) that can be used for combat or just to blend in.
    • Use: These help him blend into regular life, but they also serve practical purposes when fighting — for both offense and defense.
  4. Money for His Family
    • Description: Luke often carries cash that he sends to his mother and siblings in Harlem. It’s wrapped tightly in a brown envelope, though he always keeps it separate, as a sign of responsibility.
    • Use: The money is a reminder of his past actions and his ongoing attempt to fix what he’s broken. It’s always part of his inventory, though it's not meant for himself.
  5. A Photo of His Family
    • Description: A faded photo of his mother and siblings from before everything changed. He keeps it in his wallet, the only personal item he hasn’t discarded.
    • Use: This is more of a psychological tool for himself. When he’s struggling, it reminds him of what he’s fighting for.

Backstory

Carlisle's Harlem

Carlisle Lucas was born and raised in Harlem — not just the geographic Harlem, but the living, breathing soul of it. The jazz bleeding out of open windows in the summer, the clatter of bones on stoops, and the scent of oxtail and collard greens from mom-and-pop kitchens down the block — that Harlem. A place of culture, rhythm, pain, and hustle.

Carlisle’s mother, Angela Lucas, was a pillar in her own right. A nurse by day and exhausted soul by night, she raised three kids alone after their father vanished into the cracks of a system that never gave him a chance. Carlisle was the eldest, and he wore that weight early.

The bills stacked faster than Angela could keep up. The fridge was often half-full, and the power flickered more than it shone. By the time Carlisle was ten, he'd already figured out that being good didn’t pay — not in his world. He was smart, street-sharp, and far too observant for his age. Harlem had taught him that you either hustle or get hustled.

Young Hustler

At ten years old, Carlisle caught the eye of Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes — a local legend, a kingpin wrapped in silk suits and crocodile smiles. He ran Harlem with charisma and cruelty in equal parts. Carlisle earned his way in by doing something that would haunt him — a bold, brutal act that proved he wasn't just another corner boy. (Some say he snuck into a rival stash house, set it ablaze, and walked out untouched with the product — no fear, just fire in his eyes.)

Cottonmouth liked that fire.

Carlisle became a runner, then a lookout. By thirteen, he was already driving Cottonmouth's cars, making deliveries across boroughs with a clean face and a sharper mind. By seventeen, he was Cottonmouth’s personal driver and low-key enforcer — trusted, respected, and envied. Money came fast, and Carlisle made sure his family never went without. Jordans for his siblings, groceries without asking, stacks under the sink for Mama. But Angela never approved. She saw the blood money for what it was and begged him to stop. He couldn’t.

He was balling. And for a while, he believed he was untouchable.

Betrayal and Riker’s Island

But power never comes without a price. At 20, a job went sideways — a drug operation tied to a murder. When the heat came down, Cottonmouth needed a fall guy. And Carlisle, the loyal one, the one who’d never question him, took the hit.

He was framed. Evidence planted. Witnesses coerced. Carlisle didn’t even fight it in court — too shocked, too heartbroken. Cottonmouth didn’t come to the trial. Didn’t send a lawyer. Didn’t even send a message.

Riker’s Island swallowed him whole.

The Experiment

Prison wasn’t just cages and cold food. Riker’s had a secret wing — an off-the-books experimental program run by Dr. William Stryker, a man obsessed with perfecting the super-soldier serum. He was hunting for the next evolution — a being who could combine the rage of Logan, the resilience of Rogers, the intelligence of Banner, and the obedience of Barnes.

Carlisle became one of Stryker’s prime candidates. For four brutal years, he was subjected to tests, injections, procedures. Pain became routine. His body changed, hardened, adapted. Muscles densified, his skin became nearly impenetrable, and his strength multiplied to terrifying levels.

He survived when others didn’t.

Eventually, during a transport inside the prison facility, a riot broke out. Carlisle didn’t hesitate. He used his newfound abilities to punch through walls, rip through steel doors, and escape into the freezing New York night.

But Carlisle Lucas had died in Riker’s. What emerged from that prison was something new — something stronger, angrier, and haunted.

He chose a new name: Luke Cage.

The Fugitive

Now 24 and a wanted fugitive, Luke kept to the shadows. He forged papers, took up construction work — his strength making him valuable, no questions asked. He worked job sites during the day, disappeared into the Harlem night. Every couple of months, he dropped off envelopes thick with cash to his mother’s mailbox, always unsigned. He couldn’t face her. Not like this.

Prison had quieted him. He didn’t talk much. Flinched at sudden sounds. Trusted no one. But Harlem still burned inside him.

Then came the news that shook him — his little brother, Jamal, had started running for Cottonmouth. The same streets, the same lies, the same trap.

Luke couldn’t ignore it anymore.

The Emergence of Power Man

He began showing up in alleyways, in corners where deals went down. Hoodie pulled low, steel-toed boots echoing down concrete halls. He used the same chains they tried to bind him with at Riker’s — wrapped them around his knuckles like a reminder, like armor.

He was brutal, but never lethal. Efficient. He stopped muggings, broke up stashes, dismantled operations tied to Cottonmouth’s growing empire. Always disappearing before anyone could see more than a shadow. But whispers grew.

Some said he was a ghost. Others said he was a government weapon gone rogue.

In the streets, they just called him “Power Man.” An indestructible man. A reckoning.

Luke didn’t think of himself as a hero. Not yet. He was just a man trying to undo the damage he helped cause — trying to keep Harlem from eating its own.

But in the silence between punches and broken bones, a purpose was forming.

History: After her father, Elihass Starr was kicked off S.H.I.E.L.D as a researcher due to complained from Hank Pym, he tried to continue his research on his own. He needed funding, got mixed with some shady characters involved with mutant crime syndicate. They decided to loan him money that Elihass promised to repay after his research would "make it big". And for a while things seemed fine, he had his own laboratory. He was nearly done with his quantum tunnel, which would change the fundamentals of science as the world knew it at the time, he would change history. He queued up the machine for a test run, his laboratory being a converted abandoned warehouse near the edge of town. This would be the greatest achievement, so he'd brought his daughter Ava along, to be there, to witness his moment of greatness, this is what it all came down to

However meanwhile, the syndicate funding his projects was not happy. Not happy, as not only had he failed to pay them back on several occasions, but had failed to prove that this machine of his he was building even works. On top of that, he was being watched, he was under the gaze of the watchful, Hank Pym. Hank had decided he was a threat, and paid the syndicate to shut down his laboratory by any means possible. So they sent one of their mutant members to take care of it, who happened to come, during the test run. His father tried to stop them but there was no stopping him. Chaos ensued, as the syndicate member ripped apart the machine while it was powered. Young Ava tried to run but before she could, her fathers work began to light up, first there was fire, then sparks, then a loud boom, as everything went silent

When Ava woke, all there was were confused faces of emergency response teams, as they looked down upon the girl who couldn't be touched. Soon enough she was shipped off, to the only person Elihass trusted, Bill Foster. He too was a scientist, and while he wasn't the warmest father, he kept her from phasing in and out with a quantum chamber. He kept her safe from the world, warning her that all of this powered stuff is what led to her fathers demise, to not let it be hers as well. He taught her how to hide, to not be seen, how to pack up and leave in a moments notice. And while Bill remedied Ava's illness, he failed to remedy his own. He died when she was 19, and using what she was taught, made a life for herself, leaving her powers, and her past and her name, buried where no one would ever find it. At least she thought
