welcome! you've stumbled upon my 1x1 recruitment thread. my name is maria. read on to find out if we're a good match!
-i’m 17, turning 18 in december.
-i will not type in lowercase while roleplaying, so don’t worry.
-i’m a lesbian, so if that’s going to make you uncomfortable, don’t bother replying ; )
-i’m in the eastern time zone.
-i’m a student on summer break, so i’ll be extremely active. however! i do struggle with depression,
which can lead to a lot of lethargy and lack of inspiration on my end,
so i may respond twenty times a day on monday and barely be able to get a paragraph out on tuesday.
that’s just how the cookie crumbles, unfortunately, so if that’s going to be a big pet peeve for you i’m probably not your girl.
-if we write together, let's try to be friends!!! feel free to talk to me ooc, because i know i will.
it's a lil weird for me when i'm rping with someone for a month yet i know nothing about them.
-primarily interested in original plots and characters. i'm open to rping within prewritten worlds though.
(for example: playing as original characters within the pacific rim universe.)
-it's easiest for me to roleplay fxf plots, but i’m down with literally anything!!! mxm, mxf, whatever. fxf or mxm are most preferable.
-at minimum, you can expect a detailed paragraph per post, depending on how energetic and/or inspired i’m feeling.
on a normal day, i’ll try to average at least 2-3 descriptive paragraphs. all i ask for is at least the same amount of effort.
-you should be comfortable with playing multiple roles at once. this is because, while the plots will be romance-focused, i would like to have
something to write about BESIDES romance. when it's all about the love story, it gets very dull, very fast.
-another side note: write character flaws! have our characters fight! make things uncomfortable! a perfect relationship gets boring fast. nobody's perfect, etc etc.
nobody wants to read a wall of text per post, especially not me, so i’m not expecting a novel.
a few grammar and spelling mistakes are fine; it’s not like i’m grading an essay here.
-i can roleplay in pms or discord. i would prefer to at least plan on discord if possible because it's faster than pms, but either is fine!
-if our styles don't click, it's okay for us to part ways, no hard feelings. usually i can tell within a few turns that something isn't quite working.
-i'm shy, so it's sometimes hard for me to take the lead! i worry about coming off as pushy or controlling, so i tend to go with the flow.
however, that doesn't mean i don't want to plan plots or brainstorm story lines. i'm just down with whatever.
congrats!!! you made it to the most exciting part: plot wishlist!!!! a ☆ in the spoiler means it's a favorite of mine. however, i would be excited to do literally any of these.
she told me all doors are open to the believer
i believe her, i believe her, i believe her

character a is the first mate of a small but infamous pirate crew. her people are cruel, but they’re effective, and all of the bloodshed and pillaging has been paying off. slowly but surely, they’re gaining notoriety. character b lives in stark contrast to character a; she is the eldest daughter of a highly decorated captain of the crown. while character a is terrorizing the seas, character b is on her way to marry the man she has been promised to since birth. how and why they meet is up to you, but one thing’s for certain: it’s probably not going to be pretty.there's nothing else to do here but kiss under the stars
i like you just the way you are

titanic, except “jack” is a woman. i can’t make it more simple than that. (however, we wouldn’t follow the movie word-for-word, because that’s boring. it’s just two star-crossed lesbians on a doomed boat in 1910.)outside the world seems a violent place
but you had to have him, and so you did
some things you let go in order to live

character a lives in a small fishing village, and when they came of age, they inherited the town lighthouse. now, character a spends their days tending to the lighthouse. it’s a good life, albeit a lonely one. character b is a selkie, capable of shifting from seal to human at will by shedding their skin. character b's people rarely come ashore after suffering countless cruelties at the hands of greedy humans. despite the horror stories, character b isn't content with the sea. during a summer storm, character b sheds their skin and tumbles ashore. you can see where this is going.and while you sleep i'll be scared
so by the time you wake i'll be brave

everything is falling into place for character a. only a few years out of college, she landed her dream job and moved to new york. however, the exorbitant cost of living drove her to move in together with character b, an old acquaintance from college who was searching for a roommate on facebook. overall, life is good. then everything starts crashing down around her, as things tend to do. character a finds herself pregnant after a one night stand. terrified and completely lost, character a turns to character b.
aka, the classic roommates-turned-gay-moms trope. very fluffy, but very heavy.it's not like i was lost for a purpose
i lost purpose and purposefully froze
so be good if you think it can save you

a good ol’ wasteland roleplay. it’s fifty or so years after the bombs dropped, and humanity is taking its sweet time to recover. save for a few major cities, the world has been reduced to a series of dusty villages and outposts built up out of scrap metal and burnt plastic. character a just wants to get out of their pitiful little town and head to what remains of new york, to see if it’s anything like the cities described in the books that survived the bombs. character b was born and raised in the city, and they want nothing more than to get out for good. maybe they can meet in the middle and have an adventure.i want a love that lets me breathe
i've been choking on your leash

i’m ashamed of this one but: character a is next in line to be alpha of the pack, a fact which has been weighing very heavily upon their shoulders recently. after months of negotiations, character a’s pack agreed to absorb what remained of character b’s pack, meaning character a’s pack has doubled in size. the strain of having more mouths to feed and more people to house has been a headache for everyone, especially character a. then there’s the business of finding a mate.are you down to be a distraction, baby?
fxf or mxm
the year is 1952. character a is the right-hand man to one of the most powerful mob bosses in the city. they spend their days collecting checks and reminding the world who’s in charge, even if it means breaking a few bones or burying some bodies. character b lives in the suburbs; their father is an accountant, their mother holds potlucks every weekend, and the farthest they’ve strayed from home is the family lake house a few miles outside the city limits. one night, character b’s best friend persuades them out of the house and into a dance hall, where they meet character a.
if any of these interest you, please reply here/pm me! i'm new to the site, so i'm not yet able to pm people first. i hope to write with you!!!
