The ride to a new school is always challenging, but it was especially so for the Hart twins. Their father, excuse me, the king had insisted on them going here, a school to find soulmates. Which, isn't actually all that helpful when you don't have one. Sure, there is always the possibility, but it is rare. And now, Theo has to live with a group taking advantage of that which he wishes he had. What he would do for just a moment with one. As a seer, every relationship he has is most likely doomed to fail, since at some point his partner would find their soulmate. And sure, he could create a thread with someone, but who would want to willingly spend their life with him?

It was not only the more opinionated Hart that initally rejected the idea, but the both of them. Of course, they hadn't ended up with a choice, as their father is sending them there as a "gesture of goodwill" to the country in which the school stands. But, thanks to his sister's quick thinking, the twins wouldn't have to ride in to the campus in a limo. Well, they had, but thirty minutes before anyone else. Remi had come up with the idea to tell their driver the wrong time, so no one would see them in the fancy car and question their lineage. Of course, this extravagant vehicle was only a show for the citizens, one that would go unnoticed. The "prince" had always objected to the idea of being royal. In his opinion, as long as he has to worry about being able to eat that night, no one should praise him during the day.

So, there he sits, phone in hand, on the crappy bed the school had provided. He had long ago finished putting away his clothes, as he doesn't have many, so he's decided to just scroll through YouTube until he meets his roommate. Of course, whoever he is rooming with has to meet their soulmate first, so he's content to sit on his bed, wasting the minutes until then.

"Wake up Trumpet, we are here" The voice of her father and shaking sensation on her shoulder caused Jeanne's eyes to slowly open. Sitting up straight the memory of what she was doing came back, she was in the front passenger seat of her fathers truck. Looking out the window her gaze came to rest on the school she would come to call her new home. Manchester Academy, a place where one would become united with there soul mate, etc, etc. It wasn't her choice to be here, she was perfectly fine with living her life as she always did,. Her parents on the other hand had disagreed and signed her up hoping that the school would give her something that she needed. Some one to ignite a spark for her. Then again they hadn't forced her to be here either, but Jeanne didn't feel right refusing to attend this new school after she saw how badly her parents wanted her to attend.

Turning away from the window she looked to her father who gave her a reassuring smile. "What do you think? Looks even nicer then the website made it look. I'm sure you will have lots of fun and meet a special someone." He grinned as he said the last part. "Sure Dad." was all she said as she opened the door and hopped out. Opening the back door she grabbed her bags and set them onto the side walk before closing that door as well. As she set the last bag down the passenger window rolled down and her father called from his spot in the driver seat "Were both proud of you Trumpet! Love you and call us whenever you want to." Jeanne turned to face him and gave one of her rare genuine smiles and waved him off as his truck pulled away from the sidewalk, then the school.

Once her father was gone the genuine smile disappeared and was replaced by the fake smile. The smile she had perfected over the years of dealing with people she didn't want to.Very quickly she slipped an ear bud into her right ear and hit play on her playlist, letting the sweet and smooth sound of brass blues play into her ear. Grabbing her bags and armed with her room number she set out into the school in search of her dorm. Although she wasn't the biggest fan of the uniform for the school she was wearing it. It was better to wear it and avoid any unnecessary trouble then to not wear it and have to deal with any repercussions. That being said there was one accessory she was wearing that wasn't part of the uniform and that was her hat. A black ball cap that only marking was a saxophone with three music notes coming out of it that sat on the front.

On her way to the dorm she got a flash of color that wasn't there before and looked down at her right hand. wrapped around the ring finger was a small blue thread. Staring at it for a minute she continued to head off in the direction of the dorms wanting to first put these bags in a safe place. Her soulmate could wait, or if they couldn't then they could come find her. She wasn't about to keep carrying around all of her stuff so she could go look for a stranger who she was supposed to be soulmates with.

Erika sighed lightly as they got closer to the academy and played with the sleeves of her cardigan more. She had figured on day one, they wouldn't exactly be strict about the whole uniform thing and had worn her usual clothes. If she was to make a first impression, she'd want to wear something she'd normally wear instead of the uniform. Thankfully, they were almost there. She loved car rides but not with her grandparents. They were slow drivers, so she was ready to get out of the car. "Are you ready, Hun?" her grandma asked excitedly as she turned to look at her. "Uh, yes, but I'm also kinda nervous, like nervicited," she joked, causing them to let out a small laugh, knowing that she'd be just fine. She purposfully packed her espresso press thing last night so that she wouldn't use it and be shaking from all the caffine and her nerves. "Don't be! You're going to do great in school and also meet your soulmate!" her grandfather said excitedly for his granddaughter, "Plus, we were able to send the mini fridge early so you don't have to wait a whole day for your coffee," he joked and Erika laughed softly, already feeling a little less nervous. Both of her parents had met at a school, and while it wasn't this one, she still had wanted to go in hopes of doing something similar as her parents.

They soon got to the entrance of the school, of course her grandparents were a little earlier than she had wanted them to be. Idealy, she'd be in the middle, but oh well. Her grandparents and her got out and they helped her grab her bags. They gave her tight hugs and she only just realized the red string leading towards a boy with blue hair and she instantly blushed. She had figured she'd be here first and be able to compose herself! Her grandpa caught her staring and raised an eyebrow, "Are they here already?" he asked and turned to look. Erika quickly stopped him with another tight hug. There was no way she'd let her grandpa try and talk to the boy or even let him know yet, "NO! Er, no, no I just was uh worried that I probably should've worn the uniform," she lied. They only nodded, knowing that she was lying as she wasn't exactly the best at it most times, but they didn't push her. "Alright, well, just try to call us, we'll try out best to figure out skyping," her grandma said. Erika let out a forced laugh, still glancing at the boy. She wondered if it'd look weird to walk up with her backpack and suitcases, but pushed it aside. She waited until her grandparents were in the car and leaving-while also hoping they wouldn't turn around to watch her-and started walking towards the boy. She could tell that her cheeks and ears were red, but figured she'd have to go meet him eventually, and she especially didn't want to just run off.

Arthur was looking forward to getting away from his parents for a while and find new people to pull pranks on. They won’t know his reputation, so they won’t see it coming. As his Mom drove him to the school, she ranted about being a proper boy and doing the family proud. He looked out the window and nodded when she asked him something, even though he didn’t know what she was saying half the time. When they get there, he jumped out. “I love you and stay out of trouble,” his Mom said. “Sure,” Arthur said and off he went.

As Arthur walked towards the dorm, he expected to be sharing a room with his soulmate. After all, if someone is your soulmate, you two should be together. Arthur opened his dorm room and to his surprise there were two beds. Arthur wanted to be sleeping in the same bed with his soul mate. This won’t do, something had to be done, to rectify this situation Arthur did the only sensible thing, he took the pillow, bedspread, and sheets from the other bed and tossed them out the window.

If there is only one bed then his soulmate won’t have a choice. Getting rid of the mattress was harder. Arthur managed to drag it out of his bedroom and to the end of the hall. The bedframe was too heavy to drag down the hall, but he did manage to drag it to the corner of the room. To reduce the chances that his soulmate would see the bedframe, Arthur tossed his suitcase and stuff onto the bedframe to distract his soulmate. The roommate did have stuff already in the room so Arthur hoped the roommate would forget about the missing bed. Arthur got onto his bed and waited for his soulmate to arrive.

No... An image appears in her head as she looks down at her relatively underwhelming breakfast. The sheer thought of it makes her look down at her plate in sorrow. Another appears, even worse this time, depicting the headline for two different day, at that time. That was all she had. Gone in an heartbeat. Not now...
"Uh, Alexis? Are you okay?" Itsuki, her adoptive father, calls out to her from the other side of the table, noticing the look of pure dread on her face.
"What? Oh!" She blurts out as she perks up from the cereal and continues to eat it as if nothing happened. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
He gives her a look. "You seriously think that you can brush that off? You look...down. What's up?"
"Oh, nothing." She immediately says, not wishing to worry her father. He gives a look of serious doubt before saying "I seriously doubt that. Not with that face. Now, what's really up?" Seeing that he wouldn't leave her alone until he got a proper answer from her, sighing heavily, Alexis spills out the truth. "Just another nightmare. It's like the 5th one this month? Yeah. Every single bloody time, it's about Suki...and mom. It's really tormenting." She confesses, while slowly starting to bend her spoon in imminent rage.
"Oh..." He says, unsure what else to add on.
"Yeah." She says, looking increasing more depressed. "I can't imagine how much...shit they made them go through before finally putting an end to her misery. Back then, I wished they didn't die, but now that I think about it, would they even be the same after that? Maybe it was for the better that they died. I'd rather let her rest than live with a broken Suki. A broken mom." A few tears go down her face as she says that, giving the hint that she most definitely no longer wants to talk about the topic.
"I guess we've been through quite a bit, have we?" Itsuki softly says, remembering sharing the experience with his wife, her mother.
"You can say that again." Lex says, attempting to shift the conversation to something else and push out those negative thoughts. "That's why today, things are gonna change. Well, at least I hope..." She seems to doubt herself.
"Don't talk like that. You will, I know it. Now, don't you think it's time you actually went there?" He asks whilst checking his watch.
"Is it time already?" She asks, checking her phone.
"Yeah. I'll text you the address. You'll fine the one. I know it." He tells her before tossing Alexis's keys to her
Let's hope. She thinks before responding with a simple. "I know." She slumps her bag over her shoulder, grunting as she picks it up.
Itsuki notices. "That your bag?"
"Yep. All my manga, figures, cars, clothes, just about everything." She states, demonstrating the numerous stuff she's bringing with her.
"Good. Need any help?" He asks, noticing the burden that the bag is putting on her shoulder.
"Nope. I'm perfectly fine doing this by myself, thanks. Bye." She tells him before opening the door and leaving
"Sayonara." Is the last thing she hears him say before heading out to a new experience.
So this is it. I can't say I'm exactly excited for what's to come, but I need it. I know I do. She puts a hand on her heart and feels her heart beat.
For Suki.
Leaving the apartment complex, she immediately heads to the garage area in search of her car. Where is it? As she thinks that, she gets a message on her phone.
A text? Oh it's dad. She thinks as she reads the notif. Opening her phone, she reads the message in her head followed by her copy and pasting the address on her phone's maps.
. Good luck at school today. I believe in you.
Thanks, dad. With the location of her Mustang in her head, she walks over to the apartment garages and looks for garage 2-B. Walking over to the keypad, she starts typing in the code.
Lets see...921...02. With the final number inputted, the door starts to open, revealing a rough looking Mustang on the other side.

unnamed (69).jpg
Not exactly 'low profile' per say, but it's me and me is good. She thinks to herself as she stares from afar. After a few seconds, she enters the car, tossing her bag to the back seat and caresses the steering wheel a bit.
Its been a while since I've been in this thing...let's see if she still purrs! Is one of many thoughts that pop up in her mind as she inserts the key in the ignition.
Sorry gents, but it's time for school! She says as she turns the keys, roaring the powerful v8 engine to life, making quite the racket. She slowly pulls out of the garage and drives away pretty quickly in order to not be the center of a big scene. The address that Itsuki provided her in the GPS, she makes her way to Manchester Academy.
I wonder how this place is like... In fact, now that I think about it, I haven't got a single clue on what's it's really about. Something along the lines of love school. She tries to recall exactly what he said about the school to no avail. Wow, I'm really not prepared for this, am I? She asks herself as she gets slightly distracted. She off in a daze for a few seconds until a car aggressively overtakes her, honking at her for being 'too slow' despite being on the limit.
"Watch the road, you pillock!" She shouts at the reckless driver before brushing it off and shifting her focus back on the road.
Jeez, drivers these days... they'll give anyone a license. She thinks angrily before shaking her head and ignoring the event.

...

So, apparently, it's around this...corner. She thinks to herself while simultaneously shifting her focus between the GPS and the road. When she arrives, she takes in the rather expensive looking scenery. Wow.
Do they have the royal family living in here or what? Why is it so...fancy?
She asks herself as she gets out and grabs her bags.
Eh, whatever. I'd best question things later.
Locking her car, she looks back and thinks. See you later, Pitohui. Before approaching the gates
Maybe I shouldn't have packed this many things...it's really heavy and the walk seems long. She thinks as she slugs her bag behind her. She might be strong, but she might have gone overboard with her packing. Carrying her load with one had, she enters the building, noticing something... strange sudden appear on her hand. "What...? That wasn't there before." Setting down her bag to take a closer look at her hand, she got a good look of what it actually was. "Is this...thread?"

Watching humans has always been quite interesting, especially teenagers. For some reason, younger people carry themselves differently than the elders. It's as if they have something to prove to themselves. Or, in this situation, to their soulmates. The concept has always been difficult for Calista to comprehend, even with her intelligence. If someone is meant for you now, why are you meant for someone else in the future? How can a person go from loving one with all of their heart to another? Maybe a part of the heart gets left behind. Or maybe it was never quite there in the first place.

These types of philosophical thoughts are typical for the druid when she is trying to avoid something, like she is right now. She is sitting in a car, which is apparently a thing that goes incredibly fast, even faster than a bird. They drive, no they drove over ten hours from her home, but stayed in a hotel overnight. A hotel is apparently like a portable home, but it stays there when you leave and goes onto the next person who buys it. She still doesn't understand why people must pay to sleep, but she supposes that she never will.

"Are you done fretting?" Her father, the newest elder speaks up beside her. She had been sitting there for the last ten minutes, just watching. To any passerby it would look frightening, but in reality, she is expressing childlike wonder in the safety of her ...car. Once she gets out, she will need to put on her warrior mask, which began to seep into her head long ago.

So, the girl's body tenses as she gives the man beside her a solemn nod, before stepping out of the car. Once she gets in the safety of her room, she would marvel at how the building was created, all of the effort it must have taken. But for now, she just steps inside, not yet noticing the red thread that has appeared on her finger.

Rosalyn Wilder

The ride to Manchester Academy was quiet and lonely, but this wasn’t anything that Rosalyn wasn’t used to. Her parents were busy with her father’s re-election campaign, per usual, so they could not accompany Rosalyn to her first day at the new school. This was almost for the best though, since at least it meant that she wouldn’t have to fake excitement in front of her mother and father. Rosalyn’s driver had witnessed many of the strawberry blonde’s temper tantrums, crying fits, and breakdowns during his tenure as her escort, so Rosalyn didn’t care if he saw her true feelings now.

Rosalyn leaned her head against the window, watching the landscape pass by in a blur. She breathed out slowly, her warm breath fogging up the cooler glass. She brought her hand up, drawing a frowning face on the fogged up windowpane. Blue eyes stared at the face for a moment, before Rosalyn wiped it away with a heavy sigh. As she did, Manchester Academy came into view, and Rosalyn’s stomach tightened with nerves.

The young woman knew she didn’t have control over who her soulmate was fated to be, but she still felt the pressure of her judgmental and controlling parents. Rosalyn’s mother had given her a list of acceptable qualities a soulmate should have- or rather that her mother and father expected the partner of their daughter to have- before Rosalyn left.

Those qualities weren’t really what Rosalyn wanted in a partner though, and she worried her parents were in for a rude awakening. Sure Rosalyn was prim and proper on the outside, but if soulmates were based on who a person was on the inside, then neither Rosalyn or her soulmate would live up to her mother’s expectations.

The car came to a stop in the front of the school, and the driver opened Rosalyn’s door before fetching her bags from the trunk. “Thank you Jameson.” Rosalyn said quietly, already donning her mask of a calm, pleasant expression. “I’ll see you when I come home for the holiday, I’m sure.” She added, already predicting that her parents would not come to pick her up. With a small wave, Rosalyn parted ways with Jameson and began rolling her bag into the school.

Other students were arriving as well, and Rosalyn’s stomach fluttered again, the reality that she’d have to meet new people and make friends with some of them sinking in. She felt like a fish out of water, but she looked confident as she breezed through the entryway, her head held high.

“Well... here we go.” Rosalyn sighed under her breath, looking around for where she was supposed to go.

Hikari Hayami
Hikari sat in the car silently, quite abnormal for her, staring out the window. Her mom was sending her to Manchester Academy, a school to find soulmates. Her mom was just crazy enough to send her to a school like this and Hikari was crazy enough to accept. At first she was curious about it and thought the whole thing sounded fascinating. Though part of her was 99% sure that her soulmate wouldn't be there. Hikari's excitement and curiosity for this school soon faded when she realized she wouldn't be with her friends anymore. Her whole class was actually quite close and it would be strange not to see them anymore. Her two bestfriends were practically crying when she left. Because of how much she was going to miss everyone she almost didn't go but her mother ended up convincing her, that and Hikari thought maybe going to new school could help her forget about a certain boy.

Rei, who worked for her mother glanced at the review mirror thinking to himself before he finally spoke. "Sure are quiet back there. Something wrong?" Hikari snapped out of her thoughts and glanced towards him then back at the window. "Yeah I'm fine. Guess I'm home sick...." Rei smiled, "Yeah I'm sure you've never been away from home before. But hey soon enough you'll be making new friends and you can always call your friends heck even face time them if you want and you know that your mother is going to call probably everyday. She'll probably call so much you'll get sick of it." Hikari laughed, "Come on we both no your the one that's going to be calling. Besides weren't you against all this." Rei sighed, "Yeah well your to young for boys! I was a teenage boy once and all they think about it-" Hikari cut him off. "Whoa! Ok haha please don't go there!" Rei continued, "Point is your to young." Hikari rolled her eyes then laughed. "Jeez what are you my dad?" Rei smiled as he glanced at the rearview mirror. He had basically been that father figure she never had and even though Hikari never said it she always looked up to him like he was. "See there's that smile I know and love." Hikari laughed, "Thanks Rei!.....Hey Rei....could drive a little bit faster your going so slow that even the old lady that just past us is going fast then you. Speed up some or we'll never get there!" Rei shook his head. "Your mother gave strict orders to make sure you arrive safely and that's what I'm committed to do." Hikari face palmed. "That doesn't mean drive like a turtle!" Hikari climbed to the front seat as Rei raised an eyebrow wondering what she was doing. Before he could question what she was doing she had reached over and grabbed the wheel. They bother argued over the wheel as the car went all over the road.....it was amazing they didn't get pulled over. "We won't be there till night time with the way your driving!" "Well at least would get there safe! Now let go!" After fighting over the wheel for 20 mins....and almost crashing into another car they finally made it at the school.

Once they finally made it to the school Hikari jumped out of the car and grabbed her bags. Rei stumbled out of the car completely frazzled. "I think my life just flashed before my eyes." He mumbled to himself. Hikari stared at the school in front of her feeling better about being here then turned to look at Rei. "Bye Rei talk to you soon!" Rei smiled at her as he gave her a wave then watched as she headed towards the school. "See ya kid."

  • The morning ride was fairly quiet. Karube had been up early just to make sure he had everything that he needed for the day. Uniform cleaned, laptop and computer ready to go, blueprint of the building that he had found online. Okay to be fair it looked more like Karube was preparing for doomsday than going to a private school but it would be the first time he'd ever been on his own. In his pocket was the most important thing, though. Two packs of gum. His nanny Tess had been adamant that everyone liked the guy who offered them gum. It sounded stupid. Surely that wouldn't work, right? But even so he had no better plans on making friends so he made sure to pack some just in case.

The driver didn't even attempt to talk to him. That was fine with Karube. He was more than happy to just sit and type away on his laptop. He had decided to wear the school uniform since he had no other ideas. He was currently trying to get any information he could into the school's roster. Maybe some file where they kept all the soulmates. It had to be somewhere right? Even so whoever did their security was good and Karube couldn't get in. He really didn't want to bump into his soulmate until he was ready. When he would be ready...Well he didn't really have an answer for that. I mean what do you even say to the person? 'Hi I'm glad we're meant to be. You're really pretty.'? He reasoned even if he WAS good with girls that would still be an awkward first meeting. Take into account that he was unreasonably terrified of women and it just was a dumpster fire.

Karube's phone buzzed in his pocket and a notification flashed on his laptop screen. It was a message from Tess. 'Love you bug. If you need anything you know how to reach me.' Normally he would roll his eyes at the pet name she'd given him but now it made him smile sadly. The relationship between him and his old Nanny would never be the same again. Tess wouldn't have been expecting a reply, Karube rarely did, but even so he typed back a quick 'Love you too' and hit send. With that he closed the laptop screen and looked out the window to see the school. The building was grand. It made sense now that people of royalty and high rank were sent here, the place was basically a palace.

The car rolled to a stop and Karube started grabbing his stuff. "Will you be needing any help sir?" It was the first time the driver had spoken since the initial greeting. "No that's okay I got it. Thanks though." The driver eyed the humungous backpack and suitcase that Karube was attempting to lift onto his shoulders. "Really it's no problem sir." "No I got it I promise. I've carried this stuff around before." The driver nodded his head and stayed where he was. Truthfully Karube did NOT have it. The backpack contained all the technology he could ever need including spare computer parts, an extra laptop, and it easily weighed 50 pounds. The nerd was just very protective of his belongings and didn't want anyone else touching them.

After taking about five minutes to gather all his things Karube took a wobbly step forward and looked at the grounds. He decided the side door would be easier since there would be less people. He managed to keep it together while carrying a computer and the giant mountain of a backpack on his shoulders until he got to the door. "Okay here we go. Easy does it." Karube attempted to place his computer on the ground but the uneven weight in his backpack caused him to turn. "Noooooo!" He knew what was happening but was powerless to stop it. The nerd fell on his backpack, the heavy computer falling in his arms and resting on his chest. In his position Karube was completely powerless to get up. It was like seeing a sad upside down turtle. "Uh. Help!?" He shouted to anyone nearby but wasn't sure if anyone would be around to hear him. I'm going to die here aren't I?

  • The sound of the car's engine vibrating, his mother's music playing over the radio and the usual feel of his extendable walking stick were the main focus of Nico's attention. He had already ridden along this drive 32 times before today. All in an attempt to familiarize himself with his new campus. The ride would last another ten minutes before they got there so long as traffic wasn't rough. He honestly just wanted to get there and start trying to live a normal life again, or at least as normal as his life could be.

"ты готов в школу, милый?*" His mother spoke to him from the front seat of their new car. It was some luxury Lexus something or other and it was supposed to make it easier on Nicolai's ears with the quiet engine. It worked for the most part, but it was something his sensitive ears could still pick up on.

"Yes mom. I'm ready." He smiled in her direction while trying his best not to reveal his nerves. Would he fit in? Would he make friends? Would he just repeat everything from the last school? NO. He told himself while shaking his head. I won't go through that again, I'm better at reading people's voices now. I can get through this. He gave himself a quiet pick me up as he suddenly felt the car slowing down. Had he really been thinking that hard? It didn't matter, they were here.

As soon as the door opened up, Nicolai stepped out and extended his walking stick, tapping it along the sidewalk until it tapped against his suitcase. He grabbed the large rolling bag which mostly consisted of some clothes and an electronic keyboard that he'd been fiddling with for two years. He turned as he heard his mother's heels approach and smiled as she hugged him. "удачи, дорогуша. Я тебя люблю**." She spoke clearly as she started her way to the car.

"Love you too mom. See you in a few months. And tell dad I hope to see him for the holidays." He heard the car roll off and took a deep breath. The air smelled of a wild mixture of things. Perfumes, colognes, car exhaust, some food smells wafting from the courtyard. It was definitely a first day of classes. "Well Nico, nothing to do but get moving." He started his walk, tapping his cane along the way while mostly paying attention to the sounds of those around him.

As he was walking along the route he caught a small sound that he could've sworn was a cry for help. "Came from that way." He muttered as he turned towards the sound and began moving a little more cautiously. "If I remember correctly this is the side entrance?" He asked aloud before his walking stick tapped against something that was there. "Hello? Is someone down there?" He asked while continuing to poke at the thing, slowly realizing it was a person. "Oh." He spoke before kneeling down and feeling along the person until he found a bulky object on top of him. "What the hell did you bring to school?" He asked while slowly lifting the object off the person and setting it down between them. Thankfully, the workout his trainer had been putting him through already was coming in handy. "Well, you should be able to get up now." Nico said with a smile while grabbing his walking stick again. "I'm Nicolai. A pleasure to meet you."

Ah yes the prestine school ground of Manchester academy. Connected to it of course were the dorms where the students would come to live. With most of the students still arriving at the school the entrance would be rather crowded which meant that only a few students had made it to the dorm's by now. Yep just your normal students taking there stuff to the dorms and among them was a small white Irish terrier dragging a bag three times it's size behind it. The little white dog dragged the bag to the of the hallway before suddenly growing larger and taking the form of a white haired man. Picking up the bag and slinging it around his shoulder he reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a paper map. Raising it to infront of his face he reead the directions out loud to himself. "Hmmm so I got here now I need to make a left... then a right... then a left again. What was my room number again?'

He grabbed the map with his teeth and held it there as he dug around his pocket for the slip of paper he had written it down on. Those fancy multimedia messages that they had sent the directions on wouldn't properly open on his beat up old phone so his Mam had gone through the trouble of finding a way to print everything off on. He had then gone through the trouble of re writing everything down just in case. "Mmmph found it" He muttered with the map in his mouth as he pulled out the slip of paper and read it then placed it back into his pocket. Grabbing the map out of his mouth he continued forward until he was facing the dorm building. He had to take a second to marvel at it. "Wow. Mam... Da I get to live here" He exclaimed excitedly. The dorm building alone had to be 10 times larger then his house back home... maybe even larger. To think in the last few days he had seen and experienced more than he ever had in 16 years of living back home. Course he missed his family but this was a land of new opportunities.

Seeing a slight hint of movement his head turned so he could look at his right hand, a blue thread had formed and it was leading him straight to the dorm. a big grin formed on his face, When the Morrigan declared someone's fate no matter what you did you could never change it and his fate waited for him in those dorms. Getting caught up in his excitement he through his bag to the side and shifted back into the Terrier form. Trotting forward he would follow the thread into the dorm it lead to, unknowing that it was the girls dorm. The little terrier trotted past a tall red headed guy, barking happily at him as it continued forward, passing a blonde/red haired girl while giving her a happy bark, passing a brown haired girl wearing a hat, and passing another brown haired girl who was sitting outside her room and giving her a happy bark. All of this was done as he followed the little blue string to whomever await at the other end.

Roxie Heart

Roxie was sitting in the limo with her head phones in blasting music to drown out her parents. What were they talking about? No clue she had blocked them out 30 mins ago. Finally realizing their daughter wasn't paying attention, her mother yanked one of her ear phones out of ears. "Roxie! Are you listening?" Roxie turned to her mother with a glare that could kill. "Clearly I'm fucking not." Her mother glared at her back then looked over to her husband. "I don't know why we bother with her. Ungrateful good for nothing brat." Her father who was staring at his phone glanced over to Roxie. "Roxie kill the attitude." Roxie father aura was pretty scary. One look could shut you up. Roxie crossed her arms and glanced out at the window. "Why are you even sending me to this dumb school to begin with?" Roxie's mother gave her a small smirk. "Well for one thing we could all use a break from you and your bad attitude and secondly you know why your going here. Find someone important to tie yourself to. Since your completely useless in everything else at least you can use your abilities as a seer useful. Like you did with your sister." A guilty look fell over Roxie's face but quickly disappeared. "Yeah...."

Finally they arived at the school and Roxie couldn't leave the car fast enough. Of course though her parents insisted on the driver carrying her things. Not that Roxie really cared to be honest. As she and her driver made her way to her dorm room Roxie noticed text that came in from her sister. 'Good luck sis if your lucky maybe you'll find someone that can actually stand you. Good luck loser.' Roxie rolled her eyes and stuffed her headphones in blasting the music ignoring everyone around her. Once she made it to her dorm the driver set her bags down gave her a quiet goodbye then left. Roxie then started unpacking her things. A small smile came on her lips when a fav song of hers came on and she seemed a lot more relaxed now that she was alone though ha she sure that wouldn't last long. "Welp hope this roommate of mines is at least entertaining"

Lucas Anderson
Feeling: Annoyed/Worried
Location: Dormitory
Interacting With: No one

"Oh my goodness! Lucas, we're here!" Lucas was in the backseat, laid across. He had his earphones on, eyes closed, not hearing his mom's ecstatic voice. "Lucas, buddy! We're at Manchester." his dad tapped him on the forehead. He took off his earphones, opening his eyes. "What?" "Manch-" "Manchester is right outside!" his mom was practically bouncing in her seat. "Hehe, I feel like your mom is more excited than you are.". He sat up, looking outside the window.
Him and his parents had a huge fight about attending the academy, mainly because he thought he was fine on his own. His parents thought otherwise.

"Let's get going, Luc.". His dad got out of the front seat, and opened the car's trunk. Lucas went outside, hefting his backpack on his shoulder. Closing the trunk, his dad appeared at Lucas's side. "Here's your suitcase. Now remember, smile, alright? You're always pouty, and I want you to make a good impression on your schoolmates." Lucas gave him a half-hearted nod. His mother walked to him, then hugged him tightly."Aw my baby is attending high school! You grow up too fast, Lucas." he hugs her back, but pulls back quickly. "Be nice to your soulmate, alright? Don't go breaking their heart!" she had a stern look. "Mom, you know I won't do that." he rolled his eyes. "Alright, I was just checking. Anyway, make sure to get some friends, and no troublemaker kids! Oh and also.." she kept talking, reminding Lucas of everything he needed to do. When she was done, she looked over to him, overjoyed. She kissed him on the forehead lovingly, but Lucas was resisting. "Mom! We're at the front of the school!" "You only get to embarrass your son on his first day of high school once! Now, punta ka na doon.". Lucas embraced his dad, walked to the school, and put his earphones on.

He obeyed his parents' wish of wearing the school uniform, since he didn't really like fighting with his parents. He loves them with all his heart, despite not looking like he does. He turned irritated when he realized a lot of the students were wearing normal outfits. He groaned, walking to the dorms. While he was walking, a red thread formed on his finger. "Oh shit! I have a soulmate!" he panicked, he had hoped that he wouldn't have one.

He took his mind off of it, unpacking his things. It looked like his roommate hasn't arrived yet. God, I swear if my roommate's a slob I'll kill him.

oh darling, go buy a brain

Great, just great Remi thinks as she watches a boy come into the room. From what she can see, without explicitly staring, he is incredibly attractive. Bright red hair is the first thing she notices, contrasted by neutral toned clothing. Even by his clothing choice, it is obvious that he isn't quite as outgoing as herself. Hopefully he isn't as awkward as she looks, since he may not be able to handle her. Who is she kidding though, no one can. Whoever this guy is, he's got a storm coming.

Remi decides that she must be the one to approach him, despite her hesitations, as he looks a bit like a lost puppy. She tries to avoid looking at him though, as if looking him in the eyes would make it real. At the moment, she's just going to mentor this guy. Introducing someone to the real world, one which cannot be bound by the awkwardness that he embodies is a lot easier than meeting the person that is meant to be your forever. Meeting him means that he could reject her. He could realize who she is and see that she is just damaged. While she is deciding this, a dog runs past her, barking happily and she can't help but laugh. For a just a moment, her nerves are calmed but then it's back to nerves.

"Um...I think you might be looking for me" She speaks, finally looking up at him. Oh and of course, she just had to take on some of the shyness, just in time to imbed her weird first sentence on their arms permanently. Of course, she had known people that had gotten it tattooed over, but from what she can tell of this guy, he doesn't seem like the type to be interested in tattoos, due to the nervousness that seems to surround him.

"I'm Remi, by the way" She introduces herself, trying her best to give him a friendly smile, but it feels almost unnatural on her face She wants to calm him a bit, but doing so makes her unable to stay true to herself. So, she compromises with a smirk instead.

  • "Are you wearing the proper uniform?"

    "Yeah."

"And you don't have an entire circus of makeup on your face?"

    "Yeah."

"And you'll be respectful to the teachers, right?"

    "Nope."

    "Alright. Are you there yet?"

Genesis let out the heavy sigh plaguing her lungs as she looked at the gates of the school, the interrogation on the other line really spoiling the mood. She had tried to be positive about her experience, but he makes it really hard when he annoys her like this. The only saving grace was that he's someone who got straight to the point, so the phone call ended quickly. Finally, she was left alone in the uncomfortable attire, getting a gauge at her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary from what she expected, but, then she saw the uniform of the other students--or rather, lack of thereof.

    The uniform wasn't mandatory.

That washed up bastard totally lied.

Annoyance pricked at her fingers as she took out her phone from her pocket, debating texting him that dishonesty didn't make for a very healthy business relationship. It wouldn't change shit, though, because he'd still probably make some argument about her having to wear the uniform for the sake of the agreement, or at least attempt to bribe her. She knows this is mostly just a business transaction, and it was only a given that he got his money's worth, but shit was he annoying...

She was already starting to miss her family. It's not her first time staying away from home, but it's much different when you're somewhere you know you'll be staying for a while, with someone constantly breathing down your neck. She already recalled her mother's expression when she brought him up, and her brother's complaining that she shouldn't leave him without some cash--that spoiled brat.

The hug at the airport was very tight, but maybe it's because of the three of them did it at the same time. Or, maybe it's because she already felt like she had a box around her before even getting to the place. It was really early in the morning, so it was all empty, but the heaviness of the air was still very much present. The only noise made were from her Mom's tears, and the goodbye that was delayed until the very last moment.

"You've always grown up fast, but I didn't expect you to leave the house this early," she had said with a small laugh, swaying side to side with the girl in her arms.

"You've always been strong. I know you can handle anything, but don't push yourself unnecessarily, okay? Just say the word and I'll get him off your back. I know he can be frustrating."

"Thanks--wait, why are you crying? Mom.."

"Sh, I'm talking! And don't listen to him. Wear whatever you want to wear, as long as it's in the rules. Make up, too."

"I mean, technically my end of the deal is doing this for the reputation, so I probably shouldn't."

    "Who cares?"

"The contract. It should be an equal tran-"

    "You're seventeen. Genesis, you're
    seventeen years old."

The girl just rubbed at her neck, shrugging.

"You're a baby. Stop with this whole business thing, since when do you like business? You're going to study goddamned photography, what do you need good business for?"

"You have a point there, haha."

"Make me a promise, sweetie, will you?"

The woman stuck out her pinky finger, and her brother joined his pinky, too, despite the fact that he wasn't being addressed. That was kind of their thing--an insult to one member of the family is an insult to all. A welcoming from one member is a welcome from all of them. A promise made with one is a promise made with all. Break it, and she'll break a piece of their bond.

"Promise me you'll let yourself have fun, and enjoy your high school life. Enjoy your soulmate. Don't think of this as a deal with your dad too much, and you can tell him to come to me if he has a problem with it. Have fun, Just don't get in trouble or anything."

"That last statement pretty much contradicts everything you just said."

"You can have fun without breaking the rules! Even with that 8pm curfew! Capeesh?"

    "Capeesh."

Genesis added her pinky, and they all shook on it. She noticed their their hands lingering just a little longer together, before she was entrapped in another hug. The hug lingered, too, just like their eyes did as she boarded the plan, and just like their goodbye waves did as she watched them get infinitely smaller, until the airport was covered with clouds and the reflection of the sun rising.

Similarly, she stood in front of the buildings, hands in her pockets, just lingering all alone. Wondering, actually--wondering where the fuck the dorms were.

Genesis had a lot of luggage: a heavy duffle bag on her shoulder, a mini backpack with miscellaneous items, and two gigantic suitcases with all of her clothes. It was new, courtesy of the big man, along with a good number of items she got on a back-to-school shopping spree. Being a trust-fund-kid definitely had its perks.

She walked forward and followed the sleek signs directing the students throughout the campus, the image of her room number flashing in her mind from the computer screen she had seen it on. When she arrived, she set her things down, and began unpacking.

In the midst of doing so, she felt an odd sensation pulling at her pinky finger--the one she made a promise on. Red flashed in her peripheral vision.

Genesis didn't give it so much as a glance.

As soon as Jeanne stepped into her room and confirmed that she was the only one there the fake smile she had put on display for everyone to see disappeared. Going back to her usual neutral expression she moved over to the right side of the room claiming it as hers. The perk of being in the dorm first meant that she in fact got dibs on her part of the room. Placing the two bags at the foot of the bed she turned around and fell backwards onto the mattress staying there for a minute. Raising her hand she examined the thread noting like she had earlier that it was in fact blue, just with a bit of gold mixed in. Blue not red. "So I don't have a soulmate yet. Sounds about right". she muttered to herself. Blue meant that you were meant to be soulmates in the future. Supposedly it meant sometime in the future of this life or possibly even the next. To some that might sound romantic but to Jeanne it translated into either one or both of them were defective and not ready to be matched yet. Basically amounted to a pity prize, a tease at what you could have. Frankly she wouldn't be surprised if she was the one the thread considered as defective.

Sitting up on the bed she began to slowly kick her feet back and forth and hum along to the gentle key strokes of the piano that filled her right ear. The back and forth dance of the light sounding piano and the heavier saxophone gave the girl peace of mind. If she wasn't listening to it the she might have felt stressed or disappointed. Her parents had sent her hear to find someone to help her get a better outlook on life, she knew that and the presence of a blue string only solidified that idea of her as the defective member. Rolling her hand back and forth in tune to her own music she watched as the thread rolled around her fingers, coiling and uncoiling based on the sway of her hand. At least the thread was amusing to play with. Looking up from her hand she looked over to the other side of the room where her roommate was going to live. Thoughts of what type of person she was going to be filled her head and whether or not Jeanne should make any attempt to keep up the nice girl act accompanied them. She doubted that the school was going to be dumb enough to have soulmates room together, co-ed living situations like that sounded like a bad idea. Ultimately she decided it wasn't going to be worth the effort to put on the act for her roommate. Keeping it up all day and then having to do it while in her room as well sounded exhausting. If her roommate didn't like her oh well, she would just stay on her side of the room and ignore the others existence.

Standing up from the bed she walked over to the door, stopping just before it. Looking back over at her bags she sighed. She would unpack later, for now she should at least make some effort to go meet her soulmate. Looking back to the door she put on her fake smile and adopted the attitude of a happy go lucky girl ready to meet her prince charming. Leaving her room and shutting her door behind her she set out down the hallway following the string, unaware that who she was going to meet wasn't a prince charming, but a princess charming.

Locking eyes momentarily with the blue-haired male, she noticed just how tall he was. A part of her had always hoped her soulmate would be taller than her-not that it was important...or that hard really-but it'd been the one thing she'd say look-wise she wished for. Otherwise, she really didn't care what they looked like. It's the personality that matters, and if they're soulmates they match well, right? Erika watched him stand up, her heart was racing as she truly didn't have as much time to get out of her head as she had wanted to. It'd be fine right? First encounters are almost always awkward. He seemed to relaxed, but now he was just standing there an-Erika stopped. She looked down at the red thread to make sure she had been walking to the right person. She followed it with her eyes again and sure enough, it was to the tall blue-haired male that was currently, uh, running away. She frowned slightly and for a moment tears pricked her eyes. She blinked them back and scolded herself, she was not going to cry in front of all of these people. She didn't dare look, but she was sure someone saw the man practically bolt from her. She took a deep breath and just decided to head towards the dorms. Maybe he was nervous? He seemed more outgoing though. She wasn't sure, but she originally thought he was staring at her because he at least thought she was pretty. Was she wrong? Should she was worn a different outfit? Should she have worn the uniform?? Why did he run? She gripped onto her luggage tightly, pushing the thoughts from her mind. Maybe she'd try to find him again later, surely he wouldn't run again, right? She soon found her dorm, so her roommate must've been here already. She hoped that she'd be able to get to know her a bit, and that she had more luck with her soulmate than she did. For now, she'd neatly place her books on a small pull-out under the bed, that way it wouldn't take up too much room. She shook her head slightly to make herself stop thinking of the blue-haired male and continued to put all of her things away. She'd deal with those thoughts later, right now she needed to organize her new home the way she liked it, and prepare to meet her roommate too.

  • Karube was wiggling ineffectively when he heard someone call out to him. "Yes I'm here! Help!" The nerd looked around wildly to see who had called out to him. His eyes finally landed on the male who was carrying a walking stick. He almost spoke to try and help the other male find him wiggling on the ground but he managed without the help. "You are a life saver thank you so much." With the computer off his chest he could free his arms from the straps of his backpack and stand up. He reached out to shake the other guy's hand but immediately recognized his mistake and took his hand back. His face immediately flushed and he was glad no one was there to see it.

As if by some sort of cruel joke after another male walked up to the both of them and asked if he was alright. "Yeah sorry. I guess I brought too much stuff. My computer fell on me and this guy helped me out. Thanks again Nicolai." He motioned towards his savior and tried to take a deep breath to calm himself. Already the first day and two people were going to think he was lame. Great. The third male began speaking again as Karube leaned down to get his backpack on again. Why had he brought so much stuff? Oh well once he got it into his dorm room he wouldn't have to carry it around until it was time to leave.

"Uh I'm totally good if someone could just get the door." He wobbled again as the full weight of the backpack came down on him. "I'm Karube by the way. Do either of you want a piece of gum? I've got strawberry, mint, watermelon..." His voice trailed off as he realized it was weird that he was carrying so much gum. "Oh. Have either of you met your soulmates?" He was clearly nervous and avoiding looking either one of them in the eye. As he waited to hear their responses he once again picked up his computer and managed to stay on his feet this time. "I'm super scared to meet mine. I'm not really great with peopl- GIRLS. Girls. I'm not great with girls." His face flushed again and he half expected a third person to walk up and revel in his misery.

Fenyr, Kylie

location outside her dorm

Yawning and stretching her body at the sound of her alarm, Kylie groaned a little before getting up, picking up her phone and checking the date. At first, she ignores it like any other day, before realizing what day today is. "So, today's the day." She says to herself rather excitedly before running to the bathroom and showering herself clean.
The day I can finally take a break from being on stage and be actually happy! The mere thought made her jump in joy as she dries of and brushes her hair to her normal hairstyle.
I wonder who I'll meet today? How many boys and girls are available for the picking? Will I find them today? Are a few thoughts she has as she finishes styling her hair.
Patience, Kylie. You haven't even gotten there yet.
She looks over at one of her walls and stares at a poster advertising last year's tour and pouts. I just hope everyone treats me like a normal person and not a huge celebrity.
Shaking the feeling, she opens her wardrobe and picks out a few outfits she can wear. Looking over them, she thinks: What should I wear for my first day? Something pretty? Something fashionable? Something comfortable? After trying out all 3 variations, she settles on the oversized hoodie and shorts. Comfortable's good. I'll go with that. Before walking out the door, she stops and recalls something about a dress code.
Actually, doesn't this school have a dress code?
Digging through her memories, she realizes that there is, in fact, a dress code.
Yep, but at least it's cute, and comfy. She thinks as she slips off the clothes she already had and retrieves her outfit that would become her uniform. Having done that, she walks out of her room and down the stairs, where her bag waits. She goes to pick it up, only now realizing it's gargantuan weight. This bag is pretty heavy...just how much stuff did I load into this thing? She asks herself as she picks up her bag and slumps it over her shoulders, grunting in the process. Heading to the elevator to the garage, she looks over to her trio of expensive cars.
Which car should I take today? There was a blue one, a red one and the one that stood out to her, the yellow one.
786.jpg
(OOC: A little inside joke to me lol.)
You. She thinks as she walks over to the car and opens the passenger door. I just have to load my baggage here and...done! Having thrown her stuff into the passenger seat, she hops into the driver's seat and turns the ignition.
Wow, that is loud. Not exactly subtle, but whatever. She looks over the vast control panel and trust to remember how to launch a manual.
Now if I remember correctly, all I have to do is press this pedal, change to this one and...yep, and we are going! The cars starts to pull away and drive out the garage. Looking behind at the condos behind her, she smiles and drives a bit faster.
Goodbye, condo, hello new life!

...

Apparently, the school is just around this corner... She thinks as she looks at the gps system, which reminds her that she has to take a right soon. Upon turning right, she finds the gates of the school calling her name. Yep. What a nice looking place. I could get used to it here. Hopping out of her car, she opens the passenger door and starts to take out her bag. Now...just gotta...take this thing out! She thinks with a grunt as she forcibly Yanks her bag out of her car. Jesus, that's heavy. Luckily, it has wheels! Pulling up the handle and pulling the bag behind her, she closes the door and locks it, not wishing for someone to steal her car, though that would be a generous donation or personal belongings. Walking over and looking over at the female dorm rooms, Kylie looks down at her key to try and identify which room it is exactly. She had already noticed her red and white thread on one of her fingers. Huh. I have a soulmate! If I remember correctly, red means current and white means...we were together in a past life? Interesting. I'll guess I'll see who it is after I set all of this down. She thinks as she walks over in search for her room.
Let's see. Yep, this is the room. She thinks as she finds the match to her key she had gotten earlier. Opening the door and heading inside, she notices that one side of the room looks already occupied, presumably her roommate's stuff. Setting her stuff on the bed, she figured she could set everything up later so for now, she walked out of her dorm and into the hall again, taking a deep breath and taking in the overall vibe of the room.
This year is gonna be a good one. I know it.

  • Nicolai listened intently as the boy finally managed to stand up, thanking Nicolai. "It's no problem. Helping others is something people should do more often." His natural smile flashed and he adjusted his bags. The shuffling of clothing not too far below his head meant that the boy had offered his hand and as Nicolai started to reach out in the general area, he heard the noise again, signaling whomever it was thought it was rude or pointless. "I'm not against a hand shake. You may just have to guide my hand." He chuckled a bit at the light comment, hoping to make the other feel less uncomfortable. And just as soon as the awkward moment was starting to linger another person came and saved the day.

"I would gladly appreciate the help. Climbing the stairs to my room was hard enough while I was learning the scope of this place and I don't want my keyboard breaking. It's taken two years to get used to it." He held out the heavier bag in the direction of the voice. "So, you both know my name, may I expect the same courtesy?" He joked, but before he could get an answer there was a mention of gum, followed by soulmates? Nicolai's face contorted into a clearly perplexed mess. "My what now?" Nicolai was thoroughly confused. Was this guy one of those people that believed in cosmic readings and astrology signs too? Well, to each their own he thought to himself.

"I can relate to that. Girls can be scary." A memory came to mind and Nicolai shuddered. I'm only his friend to look good for the teachers. They'd never suspect the blind kid's best friend to be a truant. Nicolai took a deep breath as his grip tightened on his walking stick. If it wasn't for the more costly materials, Nicolai probably would've broken it.....again. Keeping a smile on his face, Nico walked over to the door, tapping along before propping it open. "Let's walk and talk. It'll get things done faster. правильно*?"

Rosalyn Wilder

Rosalyn had avoided looking down at her hand for as long as possible while she wheeled her bag through the school campus. Though she wasn't sure if she didn't want to look out of fear that she did have a thread... or fear that she didn't. If anyone had asked her, Rosalyn would have denied wanting a soulmate. She had yet to realize any true form of independence in her home life, and wasn't terribly keen on being matched with someone who could potentially hinder her independence in the future. However, if Rosalyn didn't have a soulmate, what did that say about her? The strawberry blonde already had difficulty showing her true self as it was, but if no one was meant to love her true self, then that would only make opening up even more difficult. There was a lot riding on the presence or lack there of a thread, and Rosalyn could only postpone the moment of truth for so long.

As it were, that moment came accidentally as Rosalyn was approaching the dorms. She'd been following the posted signs to make her way to her assigned room, but as she neared the building, she noticed one of the male students chasing after... a cat!? While all the other students were trying to find their soulmate or dorm room, this guy was focussed on petting an animal- flowers and chocolates in hand too! Jay stood out as he chased Akira, to say the least, and Rosalyn found herself people watching as she walked by. Rosalyn knew it was a little rude to pry into other people's business, but karma repaid her quickly.

One moment she was watching a guy pet a cat, and the next... the cat turned into a girl!! Rosalyn jumped, startled by the unexpected turn of events, and she let out a little "Eep!", before covering her mouth quickly. Embarrassed, Rosalyn looked around to make sure no one had noticed her surprise squeak, and quickly turned away from the scene she'd been watching. As she pulled her hand away from her mouth though, she noticed it. There, tied around her finger, was a red thread.

Simultaneous waves of relief and anxiety flowed over Rosalyn as she stared at the thread. One part of Rosalyn was happy to see that even if her parents wouldn't like who Rosalyn was beneath her porcelain exterior that someone was meant to... And the other part of Rosalyn feared actually meeting her soulmate. Sure, they were meant to be together, but what if he couldn't see past her guarded walls? Or what if she didn't like him the way she was expected to? Or what if he was someone her parents would never approve of? Rosalyn's head buzzed with so many questions, while her stomach fluttered nervously again.

Rosalyn suddenly realized that she had been frozen in place for a few moments, lost in thought, and reminded herself that she was on her way to find her room. Resuming her search, Rosalyn continued on to the building ahead, forgetting all about the guy and the cat girl for now. When she reached the girl's dorm, she hesitated for a moment at the doorway, glancing down at the thread that trailed from her finger and into the guys' hall. Sure, she could let her soulmate come find her, but then she'd just spend the rest of the day anxiously dreading the awkward encounter. If Rosalyn found him though, then she'd at least have the upper hand and could control when they met.

With a deep breath, Rosalyn decided that ripping the bandaid off was the best thing to do, and made her way into the guy dormitory instead, still rolling her suitcase behind her. Following the string, Rosalyn dodged the male students who were making themselves at home, and found her way to Arthur's room, where the red thread connected to her finger disappeared under the closed door. This was it. Having learned one lesson about being rude already today, Rosalyn decided it was best to be polite and not barge in. And so, before Rosalyn could chicken out or change her mind, she knocked firmly on the door and held her breath, waiting anxiously to see who would open it.

That wasn't there a minute ago.. Waving around her arm to see if she was imagining things, she realizes that the thread that she sees right in front of her is in fact real. What does this mean?
At first, confused on what it could be, a recent memory in her mind makes everything click in her mind. Wait, if I remember correctly....
"Hey listen."
Flashback Itsuki speaks out to Alexis as she's close to just passing out right there and there. Despite her clear inattentiveness, he continues with what he's saying to her."Apparently, the school has a color coded thread system that tells you what kind of soulmate you have. Blue is future lover, red is current, white is past life lover, purple is artificial love, and black is terminated love, understand? At least, that's what I understood from what they told me." Just now noticing what he was saying is important for later, her head perks up from the table just as she falls asleep and rather sleepily, asks "Huh? What?" before her head starts to tip over again.

Ignoring her question, he simple tells her"Good luck tomorrow, Lena!" A name that might as well be a trigger word for Alexis. Only Suki could call her that, and perhaps her future soulmate assuming she wants Alexis. Taking notice of her father calling her that name, her head perks up again in annoyance before asking"Didn't I tell you not to call me that?!" At first with an angry tone that halfway through shifts to a sleepy tone of voice, followed shortly by a yawn. Itsuki smirks at her comment and her sleepiness before saying"I did, but I figured that you'll get up if I said that!"
Alexis yawns again, clearly not having the energy to continue staying up."Regardless, you should get some sleep for tonight. Wouldn't want to keep your significant other waiting!"
Rubbing her eyes and somehow finding the will to stay up longer, Alexis slowly gets up and starts to sluggishly walk over towards the stairs as he says that. "Right...g'night"
With her mind now back in the present, she takes another look at her thread and smiles a bit before taking hint at the color. Nice to know that I'm at least paired with someone...but a blue thread? Kinda seems like the most rubbish of all the threads...other than black for obvious reasons. "Future Soulmate." As in "Maybe, but not 100% certainty." As in "Your soulmate next week or alternatively in the next life." Several thoughts of what a blue thread could count as filled her mind as she glared at the small but noticable gold markings on the thread. Despite her worries, she pushes them away and tries to be optimistic. Well, I shouldn't complain. I at least could have someone out there for me. Someone out there that could actually want me...That's relieving just to think about. Even more by just seeing it with my own two eyes... Taking notice of the thread end attached to her moving with her hand and the other end not, an idea of what to do next pops up in her head. I wonder...does this thread lead me right to them? Turning towards in the general direction of the thread, she starts walking towards the other side. Only one way to find out.
Despite continuing to follow the path to her potential lover, she's already lost in a world of thought, failing to notice the girl on the other side doing the exact same thing. I wonder how she'll be like...will she be like me? Will she be the exact opposite? Maybe she'll be- Before she could notice, the distance between them closed pretty quickly and before she could react, she bumped right into the one she could potentially call her lover in the near future. Ow...oh shit, I ran into someone! Come one, apologize, Alexis! Hurry up!
Speaking up with her New Zealander accent as fast as possible, she quickly attempts to apologise to her. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry, mate! I didn't mean to, I wasn't looking were I was going and-" Before finally noticing the thread on her hand. Wait, that thread...blue with gold... This couldn't be some sort of coincidence. Her having a blue thread? Sure, but the gold? No way. Is this my... soulmate? The discovery of this girl standing right in front of her potentially being the one is enough to stop her train of thought as she looks into her eyes. "..."
Looking straight at her, she could only really think of one thing. The red eyes, the black hair, the school uniform with a hat on top. Wow... she's gorgeous....I don't know what to say... Her train of thought returning to her, she notices her just gawking at the girl wordlessly and bashfully looks away a crimson red painted on her face and adjusting the collar of her male school uniform (as she despises most female uniforms) before it could become more awkward, though it's probably already too late for that. "Uh..."

Spurred on by the music playing in her right ear Jeanne let her body go on autopilot as her mind became lost in her thoughts. Thinking about what her soulmate was going to be like, if they would get along, if she should start with the fake Jeanne and show her the real Jeanne later, and finally if things didn't work out would her parents be disappointed in her? Jeanne had done many things that she didn't care for all in an attempt to keep her parents happy, whether it be the rare sport she tried or anything else. It was her firm belief that as thanks for her parents taking care of her that she had to do something to make them proud, even if she didn't like it. While she continued to absentmindedly chase the random thoughts her body followed the blue string right to it's other end, that end being a small collision.

The impact was a light one but still enough to snap her back into reality and cause her to take a step back. Blinking her eyes she found herself looking at a woman with blonde hair that had streaks of red in it, with admittedly pretty brown eyes. Much prettier then her own dull looking eyes. Her gaze dropped down to the woman's hand where the same blue thread with a hint of gold lay wrapped around her ring finger. There was a tingle in her left arm and she looked over to see words starting to form on her skin, the simple phrase of "Oh my god!" was now imprinted into her skin.

Jeanne turned her attention back to the girl in front of her and with her left hand straightened out her hat that had been dislodged a bit when they collided while her right hand removed the earbud that was in her ear. As her future soulmate continued to stare then turn red with embarrassment Jeanne slipped the earbud into her own pocket, clicking off the music on her phone as she did so. Jeanne had been expecting to run into well... a guy on the other thread not another girl. She had never really found guys more attractive then girls, well she had never really stopped to think of anyone enough to see if they were attractive or not, guess this answered one of her many life questions that being she found woman more attractive.

As the embarrassed blonde started to speak up a bit Jeanne gave her the best fake smile she could, which in her opinion was pretty good. She had decided that for now who ever her soulmate was could deal with fake Jeanne. Maybe once Jeanne figured out what type of person her soulmate was she would show her eventual lover what the real Jeanne was like. "Don't worry about it! Accidents happen all of the time. My name is Jeanne by the way and it is wonderful to meet you!" She said in her best cheery attitude she could manage. "I don't know when it will be but it looks like we will be in each others care sometime in the future. I hope we can get along well!"

Jin

"I'm sorry."

Words spoken between tear riddled gazes felt heavy on the heart. More so than ever when a parting followed. Jin felt those words echo in his thoughts, heavy shame burning in his chest. His mother had accepted the apology, but it didn't feel like enough. There was still a tension between them from the events of the last month, and Jin had not quite healed from the wound. As a result, it seemed he had ended up creating even more with that goddamn temper of his. His mother, understanding as she was, would never tell him how it hurt, but he could see it in her eyes. Fights and silent treatments and short lived reconciliations had filled the last four weeks with much heartbreak for the mother and son. This brought him no pleasure. He loved his mother with all his heart, and yet he couldn't bring himself to forgive her. Not when the reminder of the consequences to her actions still hurt this bad.

The young man frowned at his reflection in the car window, barely registering the impressionism of forest colors as they whizzed down the long country road. The taxi driver had been kind enough to leave Jin to his thoughts, which left the ride to Manchester Academy one of silence. Settled deep in the anomaly of its own pocket dimension, the boarding school was well known for it's mission to unite soulmates. As such, it was better describe as "middle of nowhere." And the further he fled to nowhere, the further he'd be from what should have been. His mother hoped that he would find someone at this school to replace what she had taken from him. This prospect only served to fuel the hopelessness he felt, but part of him believed that fulfilling this wish would help fix what had been broken between them.

Feeling the ache of his furrowed brow, he took a deep breath and was thankfully distracted by the slowing of the vehicle. Manchester Academy loomed before them. Jin took it in with a small amount of interest. This would be his place of residence for a year. It seemed a bit much for his tastes, but he figured it couldn't be bad. However, the marvel of it was out of his norm, if his casual ripped-jeans-and-t-shirt look said anything to that.

"Here we are. Okay if I drop you off here?" The driver asked, meeting Jin's gaze in the rearview. Jin nodded, smiling gratefully at the older gentleman. When the car came to a stop, he unbuckled and reached for his wallet. After generously tipping the driver for his services, the teen exited the taxi and stretched for good measure. Breathing in deep, he took in the rich scent of pine woods and the extravagance of this secluded boarding school. It wasn't long before he was waving his taxi driver off, luggage in hand. Tossing the strap of his duffle bag over his shoulder, Jin shrugged forward towards the campus gates. Although this hadn't been his first choice for how to spend his senior year, he couldn't say he wasn't excited. The boarding school was new; it was an adventure, albeit a unusually luxurious one. A smile twitched at his lips as he glanced up at the structure, appreciating the architecture. Gotta try everything at least once, he thought as he passed the gates onto the premises.

It was than that a flicker in his periphery caught his attention, and he looked down to catch whatever it was. He came to a halt at the sight of threads attached to him, one on each hand. His soulmate...or soulmates, they were here? A pinched brow formed above wide eyes as they followed the trail of a brilliant blue strand tethered to his right ring finger. It trailed away far past his line of sight, heading off towards the other end of campus. But it hadn't kept his attention for long. It had crisscrossed with another darker thread in its path. The dull and frayed string was almost barely that, thinning in so many areas that it looked like it shouldn't have still existed; yet there it hung, trailing from his left ring finger. Jin felt a lump in his throat as all those arguments he'd had with his mother came rushing back, and the drop of his stomach returned just as it had weeks ago when he'd first learned of what she'd done.

Ever so delicately, he reached for the black thread and lifted it gingerly as if it would just slip right through his fingers. The bright blue thread dangled in sharp contrast next to the broken string, and for some reason the sight left a painful ache in his chest. He'd never seen a thread of fate before, but he knew what they meant. At the end of either thread would be a person he was destined for. The blue led to his future, but the black...well, that was what should have been. And he knew the right thing to do was follow the blue, or perhaps not follow any at all. Despite that, he couldn't ignore the desperate urge to chase the black. So, he did just that. Adjusting the weight of his bag, he let the thread flutter from his hand and tentatively moved to follow it. Each step left his heart hammering harder in his chest.

Arthur was anxiously waiting on his bed for his soulmate to arrive. He already managed to hide a bed, put his stuff away, and she still hasn’t arrived yet. Arthur figured because she’s a woman her sense of direction would be very bad. He was starting to get impatient when a knock came on the door. This is it, the big moment. He suddenly found himself very nervous as he went and opened the door. In front of him was a very beautiful girl with sparkling eyes, lush hair, and long legs. “Wow, seems like the people at Manchester Academy knows what they’re doing.” He said. He didn’t mean for that to be said out loud. "Sorry," he said sheepishly.

He found himself very nervous again, after a couple moments of silence he told himself to just say something. “Hi, I am, I am Arthur, your soulmate.” He said and paused at the end. What if she’s not the soulmate? What if this is a prank? Send the hot girl in to get your expectations up, then have her leave and you end up with an uggo. What if people are looking through a hidden camera and having a good laugh at him? He looked for the corners of the room for hidden cameras, finding none he started to feel better. His soulmate was still standing in front of him this whole time and Arthur realized that he was ignoring her. “Come in, come in,” Arthur said.

Holding his arms wide open, “welcome to my room, I mean our room.” He said, annoyed at this own blunder. “I forgot, what was your name again?” he asked. In his nervousness he forgot that she didn’t tell him yet. “Put your stuff wherever you want,” Arthur said, “now, what side of the bed would you prefer?”
