Fantasy Making the Jump

The Shadow Realm is where people go when they die. It's a dark and dingy place, full of caverns and twisting staircases. Here, nothing is quite what it seems. Everybody is destined to drift around for all eternity, feeling the pain they felt when they died. But the Shadow Realm is not the only realm.


Above it is the Nevverrealm, a place for people who aren't dead or alive- people stuck inbetween. And above that is the Daylight Realm, the real world where people go on living day after day with no awareness of the hell beneath them. Only demons can make the jump between the realms. But there are some very determined people who want to find a way out of the Shadow Realm and back to the Nevverrealm, for their own reasons. Will they ever make it back to the Daylight Realm?

Usual rules apply here:


1. No playing as other people's characters.


2. Don't make your character unrealistic, (i.e unrealistically powerful). As with a normal person, your character must have strengths and weaknesses. Nobody is invincible.


3. If you intend to have a romance with another character, do ask the person that plays that character.

Gabbe was sitting on her own, as usual. She didn't have friends here. She was rolling the unlit cigarette back and forth in her hands as if she could light it by creating enough friction. It would be useful to have a lighter here because, despite being here a while, Gabbe couldn't really see in the dark and she could use it on the pack of cigarettes she kept in her pocket. She looked up at where the sky should be but there was just an endless darkness. This place was just damn depressing.
