SHSL Monk (Martial atrist)

th

The monk listened to her word and yes many people in this situation would be on edge. She heard her name Natsumi Ishikawa. She put that in the back of her mind and then looked her up and down. She didn't want to know very much about her but she wanted to at least want to know what she's about.

"Cassandra is my name. I guess you could know." She didn't want to say to much about her but then she said "Also whoever put us here would not have a design flaw and is there anywhere out of this room?"

cho visibly stiffened at natsumi’s joke, eyes blinking with confusion and panic for a moment. however, when she clarified it just a joke, cho slowly loosened back up, laughing a little nervously, trying and not seem as bothered by it. there's a brief moment of silence before she flexes her hand tensely at her side, to try and not get too lost in her own awkward self-consciousness. “it’s, ah, nice to meet you,” she decidedly offers, but she quickly snorts. “or... it is it?” she gives a quick tug on the bars to point out the joke, before giving them an truly serious expression. about as seriously an expression as you could give sizing up an immovable object, anyway. which, actually, for cho, was incredibly.  she put her fists to her hips and gave it an 'intimidating' stare, trying to figure out how she wanted to go about things. to natsumi second comment, she nods in approval, turning to take a big look back over the crowd. it takes her a moment, but she shakes her head.

“none of ‘em really stands out,” she teasingly admits, but really dissatisfied. there were a few who probably worked out, but none that were beefcakes, really... ‘maybe… that’s for the best?’ she’s not sure why the thought occurs to her, but it thought suddenly makes her a bit somber. panicked people were kind of unpredictable. she hoped they weren't here long enough for that to make much of a difference. as she tries to get that off her mind and consider some possible alternative courses of action, she notices the girl with tied red hair coming toward them. for a moment, her eyes light up at her physique, a small a glimmer of hope put back for her scheme of getting the bars off. they’re quickly dashed as the girl opens her mouth to speak to them, though, distinctly about to call them both idiots. for a moment, just looks on in slack-jawed disbelief, surprised by just the audacity of it. however, by the time natsumi speaks instead, cho very plainly has something unkind to say. she reluctantly bites her tongue, but she stares daggers in the meantime.

when she finds she's satisfied with natsumi’s explanation, she deflates just a little, but she's still clearly disdainful by the time cassandra has spoken again. "what do you think we're pulling for? our health? of course there's a way out. but we're not going to find it just by standing here!"cho shouts this all up to her, jumping a little at the end and pointing up to her face to really emphasize her point. without waiting for any kind of response, cho twirls back around to face the windows, taking to the nearest one she hadn't tried and giving it her all. she was somehow very obviously trying even harder than before, both of her feet planted firmly on the wall as she tugged, and her face turning a red pretty quickly. "just! do!" she yells out between her furious tugs. "something!!" her voice is as strained as it sounds like it can get, and she must somehow miscalculate the effort, because as she finishes saying it, her hands slip off, and she falls anticlimactically falls onto the floor on her butt. the window, of course, unchanged.

mentioned:

You legs were numb. Your arms are numb. Your brain felt numb. But your eyes could see. It felt like it was years upon years since you had opened them. But they worked. You stretched you arms and legs. The feeling flooded back to your body. The boy's features became clear . He looked like a generic urban dweller. Rich clothings and impatient eyes. His accent was the only thing that did not quite fit his appearance. His accent was a Kansai accent making him sound more like a country bumpkin than the city boy he should be. He was relieved. I mean, he thought that he was sleeping with dead people.

There might be a good reason why as you looked at the room around you. You could never mistake the room. It's a room that all of you have seen. That you all have known. The entrance hall to Hope's Peak Academy. All those newspapers had pictures of smiling students standing in the room. A thousand and one times you have seen it. Them being the symbols of success, being the symbols of hope. Now it was empty. No other life could be seen except the 16 students you counted.

The boy noticed that the room erupted with chaos. People were panicking when they woke up one by one. Oh god. But he stood straight in the room, He was looking behind the entire crowd. His eyes were determined to examine....whatever was behind you.

"Oh...uhhh. Mah name is....... Kotoba Okibono. SHSL Salesman." he answered Ken absentmindedly. @Peaceswore You recognised that name before. Quite a famous business man, he appears in quite a lot of advertistments. He has even written an award-winning book that has become the gospel for anyone who wants to join business. However, his business deals are somewhat shady but somehow, no one has brought him to court. Also, he wants a wall built around Japan! I don't know why but I feel like he's going to be a future Prime Minister. Why didn't you realised it earlier? But you know itt was clear that the only thing he was focusing was the thing behind you. What is it anyway?

You decide to turn around. As you do,he replied to Cho, " Ah've found the exit, angry blue-haired loli." . You couldn't believe what you saw.

"There's only a slight problem. Guy in equally impressive coat was right."

A big vault door blocked the entrance with it's imposing buttons and heavy handles.

"Hey y'all," His voice is now somewhat louder for it to be above the panic of the crowd.

"Y'all're Hope's Peak Academy student, right?" he asked. "Just making sure because I swear this situation sounds oddly familiar. Like something from 7th grade History. Ah'm not that good with History so Ah can't quite remember abaht it specifically."

Okawara Kazumi

"..... I think I'm gonna faint..." Kazumi mumbled, raising her hands to grasp her head. She felt dizzy and the foul smell did not help in any way. As she ran her fingers through her hair, she noted that she wasn't wearing her gloves. HER GLOVES! Kazumi riffled through her skirt pockets and felt relief when she found them. If anything, her gloves are important to her and it was nice to have something familiar with her now more then ever but she still felt wary about the whole situation. But... If the other people here can bare with it and socialize then hell, she might as well try. She slowly stepped away from the wall and looked up at the boy who approached her. She was amazed by how calm he was in this entire situation.

"... K-Kazumi... M-my name is Okawara Kazumi..." She mumbled, mentally kicking herself at how he probably never heard her properly. She as about to try introducing herself again when another boy, one wearing a very dapper set of clothing, spoke above the noise. His question was simple, he asked if everyone in the room was a student of Hope's Peak Academy. Kazumi took a moment to recall all that she could through the foggy haze of memories but she remembered that she was a student of Hope's Peak and that she had the talent of Ultimate Luck.

"U-Um... O-O... O... O-OKAWARA KAZUMI HERE!" Kazumi tried to reply to the boy's question loudly but she only ended up shouting. "Eeep! I-I mean... *ehem* I-I'm Okawara Kazumi, Super High School Level Lucky Student... I-I... guess...."

As he waited for a response to his words his eyes went over to the few that tried to open the door.  Its not like he didn't have common sense, but he knew damn well that door wasn't going to give way to anything else than a powerful blast.  Or if someone had the remote to open it, that to.  But opening with their hands?  Impossible, and he didn't feel like wasting his strengthen on something utterly futile.  Though he couldn't blame them for their reaction, after all he didn't want to be here anymore than they did.   "That isn't going to open."  He stated in calm manner before his attention shifted to someone else that spoke to him.  It was the guy he saw when he first woke up.  Ken only looked at him in silence as he now realized he knew the salesmen, not in person, but rather hard to ignore when billboards with his face are infront of your path.  "Hm?  SHSL saleman?  Never thought I would have the honor of meeting the face of a flyer in person~If someone had told me all I had to do was get kidnapped and placed in cage, why I would have signed right up a long time ago~"  He hummed with a light smirk on his face.  A rather casual comment, one that may seem off, after all this was anything but a casual situation.

When he heard the girl speak he was about to say something as he had heard her the first time around. However when a different question entered his ears he stopped and looked around the room.  "With there being already a few people admitting they are students from the academy I could assume w-"  Before he finished his sentence a loud shout entered his ears causing him to jump in surprise and look around bewildered.  When his eyes landed on Okawara he blinked a bit before snickering.  "Who would have guessed miss lucky here had such a big voice~"  He hummed before offering her a friendly smile.  "I'm Ken Tanaka, SHSL Architect at your service....sometimes~"  He stated with a bit of pride in his voice before giving a small bow with his hands in his pocket which he stopped, not even half way completing the bow.  After saying that the smile turned to a smirk as he looked at Okawara.  "I'm not going to eat you today so don't have to look at me like I'm about to~ Honestly you don't look all that appetizing so you're safe from me~."  He  hummed, still keeping his fear and worry shoved far away from his outer self.  Right now he was trying to process everything that was going on right now, as well as remember if this situation did sound familiar.   '7th grade.....history.....what did I learn around that time? .....................................Hold on....wait no that was 6th grade stuff.  This sales guy is right something about this situation just had a familiar tone to it.  Mmmm what is it though.'

Minori looked at the man who had spoken, The salesmen as it seemed. She looked about by the looks of it she guessed they were all student of hopes peak. It was the only thing that made sense since they were in the hopes peak lobby and there were at least two Ultimates, Her, and the boy. She had already looked at  the Monk girl who had spoken to her and shrugged, before looking about again.

Woshii Zuzu

Woshii had noticed the vault door by now. It seemed prying the boards off the windows were pointless. He began to realize the crisis they were dealing with. "Maybe... What happened several years ago is happening again. But how?!" He asked, a little panicked. If what he was thinking was true, the trend would continue to... He dreaded the thought and pushed it away.

Laid sprawled near one of the walls was an athletic, blonde female figure. Her head rested on her arms while her hair obscured her facial features. From the way she was dressed, one could guess that she was from a well off family. A very well off family. It was surprising that she remained still amidst all of the commotion and screaming. After a while, a groan came from the figure as she stirred from her not so comfy nap. The girl adjusted herself and pushed herself off of the ground, her muscles weary and aching. This and the feeling of a splitting headache seemed all too familiar to her. The only difference was that this time, she wasn't tied to a chair. Her emerald eyes surveyed the room and everyone inside. It seemed like she had been late to regain consciousness, but she wasn't the last one. That much was made obvious by the few forms of people still on the floor. A group of students seemed hell bent on taking down a door, but their attempts were admirable to put it nicely. The words that the Sehema would have used were utterly pathetic.

Others seemed to be broken into groups making sure other students were ok and just talking. Despite the weary feeling washing over her, the blonde held no strong desire to join either group. At least not until they offered something that she needed. As the foreigner regained her focus and the sense of awareness, she noticed a crumbled sheet of paper on her person. She instantly straightened it to read whatever clue it offered her. The only clue it held however, was a phone number. As she stared at the paper, she felt her hand instinctively search for her phone. She wasn't too surprised when she couldn't find it. That fact confirmed her familiar feeling. They had been kidnapped and were being held somewhere. Sighing in annoyance, Sehema folded up the paper and placed it in her bra. It seemed that now she had a reason to go talk to everyone, but she just rested against a part of the wall bringing her legs close to her and closing her eyes. She did her best to block all of the panic out, but it proved to be difficult. She found her brows furrowing in an annoyed expression as she muttered. 'Must they honestly be so loud?'

"Hey y'all," His voice is now somewhat louder for it to be above the panic of the crowd.

"Y'all are Hope's Peak Academy student, right?" he asked. "Just making sure because I swear this situation sounds oddly familiar. Like something from 7th grade History. Ah'm not that good with History so Ah can't quite remember abaht it specifically."

Such a strong accent. Sehema had read about people speaking in dialect depending on where they were from, but hearing it herself was a first. What a stupid question. Why would she be here with the lot of such people if she wasn't a student? She wanted to scoff, but he did have a point. All of this seemed very similar to something she read in a history textbook. As she looked around once more, her eyes widened when she realized something she had missed before. This place...was the entrance hall of Hope's Peak Academy. It seemed one person, a brown haired student, was beginning to place the pieces of it all together. She seemed skeptical though. Maybe it was a prank made in bad taste? How could they find themselves in the exact same predicament? She would have hoped that the ones running the school were more competent than the ones who ran it in the past, but it wouldn't be the first time a group of grown adults disappointed her so. She continued to eye the Salesman staying silent and waiting for the others to respond. Sehema couldn't help but to wonder who in the group would be real about the situation and who would be the first to offer a false hope such as friendship or teamwork. Those were the type of people to be crushed by the weight of the situation first.

Jacques silently listened to the salesman. He sighed, '7th grade history? Let's see...' Jaques began to analyze the situation. 'Doors are blocked... there seems to be no way out....' Then everything clicked. "Of course..!" He said, awfully loud. He bowed a little. This was awfully embarrassing for the historian. "My apologies. But I believe I am aware of what you are talking about." The historian directed to the salesman. Jacques' words were somewhat coated with a bit of pride and slight confidence. But all that confidence seemed to whither when the historian opened his mouth yet again. "A-And I am Jacques Murayama, Ultimate Historian."

Jacques was almost 100 percent sure that history was repeating itself. It would have been interesting and great if it wasn't so terrifying and despair inducing. If this was the repeat of what happened years ago, then, Jacques is fearful for what is to happen next.

-SHSL Mangaka-

"Jesus Christ...My head..." Kyuu muttered, opening his eyes to see a bunch of other students beginning to wake up. He looked to the side, only to find a giant, metal vault door near him. It looked heavy, so he didn't bother trying to open it.He remembered who he once was; a New Student at Hope's Peak, late for his opening ceremony after neglecting to wake up early. Whatever happened here should be written down, but he didn't bought a notebook for he...Did he? It was fuzzy, for some reason. Like he somehow forgot everything he did after he left his home that fateful day. "...Whatever. I have time to think about this..." He said to himself as he rose from his slumped position, he heard a voice.

'7th Grade history. . .Is it something about a bear?' He tried to remember what he should've learnt, but...Kyuu forgot about it. Just as he was about to answer, a girl's voice interrupted. An Okawara Kazumi, Lucky Student( @Wandering Grim Hollow ). She looked...Helpless. Kyuu didn't know why, but the name 'Kazumi' somehow felt familiar to him. He approached the girl as a man, a Ken Tanaka, Architech( @Peaceswore ), interacted with her for a bit...Kinda threatening her in a way. Kyuu then turned to the earlier voice...A Kotoba Okibono, if he remembered correctly, a Salesman.

"Kyuu Chigamura. SHSL Mangaka." He introduced as he shoved his hands on the pockets of his black slacks. "I think this little scenario is somehow connected to a 'Bear'...It's fuzzy, but it was in the books."

Yukio had been sitting against a wall while unconscious, wearing his signature black suit vest and red tie outfit.  As he began to stir the first thing he felt was the ache in his muscles, followed by the pounding in his head.  The achiness was no doubt from however long he spent knocked out, which felt like it had been for days, maybe even weeks.  The headache, Yukio would argue, was from the assembly of scared and blubbering children.  However, Yukio found it hard to blame them considering the situation they were most likely in.  One quick look at his surroundings brought up memories of photos he had seen on Hope's Peak Academy, possibly the worst place to have ever existed in his opinion.  All possible routes for escape had been sealed and exactly sixteen students were gathered in what appeared to be the entrance hall to a most prestigious school.  The quote that came to mind was, 'Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it.  Yet those who do study history are doomed to stand by helplessly while everyone else repeats it.'  Although it hurt to, Yukio stood up and began to dust himself off.

Taking the time to examine each and everyone of the people gathered here, Yukio was visibly disappointed in what he'd seen.  The group was an assortment of cretins, fools and deplorables.  There was one girl specifically that Yukio wasn't looking forward to being trapped in here with, and he assumed that the feeling was mutual.  One boy who claimed to be the SHSL Historian as well as a few others seemed like he understood the situation as well, however their overall pathetic way of putting it into words was enough to make Yukio sigh with contempt.  Clearing his throat, Yukio gave everyone in the room a stone cold glare before speaking up.  "Can we please stop dancing around the subject?  I believe it's quite obvious what is happening here.  This is not a prank and this is certainly not a dream.  We have been trapped inside this Hope's Peak Academy and we will most likely be pitted against each other in yet another sadistic 'killing game.'" As he straightened his tie, Yukio would take the moment of silence that would no doubt come with this frightening truth to catch his breath.  Looking upon their faces, the prosecutor was curious as to how they would react to this bomb he had dropped on them.  "No one is coming to help us and there is no way for us all to escape unless we no doubt kill each other, and that's the truth whether you believe it or not.."

Silence. Kyuu was silenced the moment he heard this boy. He looked familiar, but why? He did, however, shed light in this situation.

"I don't think we should resort to that method since we're not sure." He approached the boy, "But do you mind explaining? How do we know this is actually Hope's Peak? I have yet to enter the school today." he asked, his hands still in his pockets. Kyuu needed answers, and he needs them NOW. His parents might be worried sick about him and he need to know what is going on. . .Kyuu might need a lot of paper if he needs to calm down.

"Th-that's what I was afraid of, unfortunately." Natsumi said as she leaned away from the wall. There was no skating around the issue--it had to be the most likely situation."But why? Who would even be left to do something like this now? 'Despair' was defeated a couple of decades ago. Who'd even be left to continue a legacy like that?" She asked, probing for some sort of viable answer.

Cassandra looked at Natsumi and said "A lot of people I would guess." She knew that some people wouldn't be happy that despair would be gone "There were still followers of Junko and people maybe liked her ideas." She didn't want to believe that's she's trapped but it looks true. "Everyone, Including me have some evil in them and would like the Despair." She didn't know much of the tragedy but she knew enough.

Yukio shook his head and motioned his hand to the room around them.  "I heard they were building a new Hope's Peak, so I had decided to look into it myself.  I've seen pictures, videos, I even went and visited the school before it was opened to the public just out of curiosity.  Trust me, this is the new and 'improved' Hope's Peak Academy."  Actually, it wasn't so much out of curiosity as it was out of suspicion.  Yukio was worried that if Hope's Peak Academy was brought back to life that history would repeat itself, and lo and behold it had.  Yukio reached into his pocket in search of the case to his glasses but was surprised to find they weren't there.   Without them he'd be as blind as a farsighted bat, meaning he wouldn't be able to see things clearly up close.  With another, slightly shorter sigh, he stuffed his other hand in his other pocket.  "I hope you like this school, because I'm sure we're all going to be stuck here."  Yukio turned his head to look at the blue-haired girl, Cho Yamaoka, a famous entomologist he had read up on one day when he was bored.  Yukio was certain that a vast knowledge of insects wouldn't nearly be enough to survive through this ordeal.  "Although some of us might not be staying for as long."

Yukio glared disdainfully at Natsumi, he had a very low tolerance for those he deemed ignorant.  "I believe the term you're looking for is 'realist.'  As much as I would like for this not to be the case, it just seems quite obvious to me that it is."  Yukio allowed his glare to relax into a neutral expression, which didn't look any less disdainful.  Rubbing his eyebrows with his fingers, he asked the hopeful girl a single question, "So just what do you think is going on here then?  Hmm?  I would love to hear your explanation for all of this, if you even have one."

Natsumi gave the man a somewhat annoyed sigh, shaking her head. "Listen to the context of what I just said. I wasn't outright denying the situation--it'd be irrational not to. I'm just saying that any sane person wouldn't want to risk their life in something like this," she stated.

Okawara Kazumi

".... I-I'm going to ignore that..." Kazumi muttered as she took a step away from Ken. She was rather amazed that they were all most likely members of Hope's Peak's student body and under the Main Course as well! That, maybe true, fact helped Kazumi calm down. After all, she is in the presence of talented individuals who are capable of many things. .... Unlike her. Besides, what sort of shoddy 'talent' is Luck anyway? So far she's heard some of the talents people said they had. Architect, Salesperson and other practical things. Things that can get you a job later in life but her's? Luck? Everyone knows Luck can only get you so far. Kazumi shook that thought out of her head as she noticed a boy approach her and Ken. Unlike Ken, the other boy seemed.... Familiar somehow... But why?

"....." She wanted to ask the boy but then everyone in the room began discussing about how this situation seemed so... familiar. Kazumi racked her mind. Why? Why does this situation seem familiar... Like she read about this in a book somewhere.... It clicked when the boy who approached her mentioned a bear. Kazumi's face grew pale. This situation is just like one of those infamous 'Mutual Killing Games' she read about in the past.

"Mutual Killing Game...." Kazumi muttered, stumbling back to the wall to support herself. "This is another one of those Killing Games...."

"Whoah whoah whoah whoah whoah!" he flailed around his arms to show his disapproval. But it was clear that no one was paying attention. They were squabbling with each other. He could already tell who are the smart asses and who are the dangerous optimists. The only similarity between all of them was that they were thinking that this was the worst possible situation. But none of them are paying attention. Why is no one paying attention to him?

  "HEY Y'ALL SHUTUP!"

He adjusted his tie. That was a bit too loud. He wanted attention not embarrassment. He cleared his throat. Oh well, might as well take advantage of this situation. Calm down everyone.

"Are y'all stupid?! This definitely ain't a Mutual Killing Game, lady." he responded to the Luckster. That was a bit rude he thought. Maybe he was a bit too riled up to control the situation. but someone has to. The only people here are the ones who are making it difficult to work together. "Sorry,ma'am. Didn't mean to be rude but I need to say something about this all."

Hmmm......was that true? You swear you haven't heard about it before. But this is the school were the students are the most successful students in the world. Surely it wouldn't be hard for them to plan this.

"It should be, at least," Natsumi thought.

"Well, it's like they say: 'expect the best, but plan for the worst,' right?" She said.

-Kyuu Chigamura-

-SHSL Mangaka-

While the boy and the girl with the weird red hat are arguing, Kyuu decided that it'll be best for him to try to think of something else. Perhaps of a new idea for his [BR3AK++] manga or perhaps another way out? He put on his headphones, which were sitting on the collar of his hood, and decided that perhaps some music may calm him down. Soon enough, Okibono spoke once more.

'So Okibono knew about this door? Interesting...' Kyuu thought to himself, while still wearing headphones without any music playing on them. Learning that this door only requires a remote, it sparked an idea in him.

"So what you're saying is all we have to do is to find this door's remote, correct?" Kyuu inquired as he approached Okibono. "Even if what you say about the student's pranks are true, I find it impossible that the Headmaster will stand for this kind of malarky. . ." Kyuu once again, rubbed his chin. Curious if this is how they welcome new students...It is quite impossible though, he had just left home when his memory went blank.

"Either way, I suggest we split up and find this remote." Kyuu turned to the group, placing his hands on his hoodie's pockets as he began to shrug. "There's no use standing around here when we're clearly trapped...Right?"

He slowly looked around the place doing a 360 and taking it all in.  "First gla-"  He was about to say something about the room however before he could the salesman shouted at the top of his lungs instantly snatching his attention.  Giving the other a rather vacant look he listened.  When the door was explained Ken instantly lost interest as he was just being fed information that he already knew.  "Yes, find the remote that is totally going to be lying around for us to find and take.  No way the person that put us here still has it right? Nah, he or she, I don't discriminate decided that after putting us here, it was best to leave the remote laying around."  He said with a roll of his eyes.    After that he let out a sigh and waved his hand in a dismissive fashion.  "But hey, maybe if we let miss lucky walk around she may just stumble upon it and we can get out of here."

After saying this he placed his hands back in his pocket and looked up at the ceiling for a bit.  "I don't like to just wait around, however if our kidnapper went through this much trouble..."  Shaking his head he started to walk off.  "Might as well get in the sights and see what is what hm?"  He doubted anyone listened to him and frankly he didn't care if they did.  True he would like to talk to calm his nerves, and gods could he talk.  However it also was better if he had at least a bit of silence to think so he can come to a logical conclusion to there situation 'Best case? I'm having one hell of a lucid dream though I know that's bullshit, worst case...history repeats itself, which would be just fucking grand.'  "Well then unless people are going to start stalking me as I walk around, laters."  Looking back at the group gave a faint smile and a casual wave of his hand before he started to walk off.

cho’s face went red with embarrassment for a moment before she simply just slumped down in defeat, realizing she had been bested. she couldn't spend too much time on the floor before her pride started to eat at her, so she reluctantly dusted herself off and made her way back onto her feet. as she did, she heard the huckster in gold seem to try and grab her attention. without a much critical thought to the rest of what he’d said, she spun around to respond. “i’m not some- huh?” she stumbled back a little at the large structure behind her. ‘what’s all this!?’ in her haste from earlier, she hadn't even given much thought to where they were all at, but seeing the large vault door behind her, she suddenly was hit with the idea that she had made some mistake. what was going on here?! all the stuff here clearly said ‘hope’s peak’, but then where did the vault come from? she couldn't help but stare at it helplessly, stunned to silence. what else was she supposed to do? what did it all of this even mean?

that last question she doesn't have to wait for an answer for, but she’s almost wishes she hadn't heard it. “k-killing game…?” she mutters. her intonation at the end suggests it’s a question, but the tone of her voice is quiet and thoughtful, as if she knows very well what he’s talking about. she suddenly a chill run down her spine. she hadn't made the association earlier when she was considering what this could be about, but now she was wondering how she couldn't. she only remembered the basics, but unfortunately, it did seem to line up perfectly. all high school students, kidnapped, and woken up at what was undeniably, hope’s peak. oh god. cho clasped a trembling hand close to her chest, and looked carefully back over the crowd of students. she had said earlier that nobody really stood out, but looking back on them now, they all seemed enormous.

"although some of us might not be staying for as long.” her head’s darting wildly around the room as she hears him say it, but when she turns to look at him, she swears he’s looking as her when he says it. it makes her heart stop. now it’s not just her hand that she can feel shaking. she can feel in her legs, and slightly even in her arms. she at least knows he’s right about one thing: people picked on the little ones first. people picked off the little ones first, if they could. she tightens her trembling fingers into a fist. that was if. she hadn't survived this long to become someone’s prey again, and she could show him that right now. she steps up to the bickering couple, ready to let them both know know exactly what wasn't about to happen here… but not before the slick looking hawker jumped in on them all again. cho jumped a little at his sudden shout to the room.  it was enough to stop her in her tracks, at least. as he speaks, he gives him her full attention, the surprise enough to shake her out of her other emotions. ‘so… we’re okay?’ that was relief. at least there was a reasonable explanation for all of this. cho was glad she could put thoughts out of her head about this being about a killing game… but she was kind of pissed about the idea of it being a prank, too.

anyway, she supposed it could wait. the important thing now was just finding the remote and getting the hell away from the pompous guy in the suit. she nodded in response to kyuu's comment. “yeah… that guy’s right. if that’s what we’re all doing, i’ll look over here then.” cho eagerly took her leave of yukio and natsumi and went to work on the southern corner of the room. if they were all students together, at least she knew to avoid the guy in the tie when she saw him now. not that either of them probably would've talked much, anyway. as for natsumi… she really seemed nice. in a way, almost familiar already. she wasn't sure what to make of her, or any of her other peers now that they had been trapped together, but maybe this chance encounter would give them all a good impression of her. if not, and it was probably not, then.... maybe she’d at least made it known she was wouldn't be anyone's ideal punching bag.

Woshii listened as the salesman interrupted the group. What idea he presented was a pretty insane possibility. The seniors would take it this far? Regardless, he decided to believe him for now. He wanted to get a good look about their surroundings first anyways. He began to walk off on his own. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna see if I can find that remote. Anybody wanna come with me?" He asked curiously, scanning the crowd for a second and giving a warm smile meant to instill confidence, a smile he wore even during tournaments. Win or lose, he'd ALWAYS remember his smile. He tossed the gooey chocolate bar out of his pocket too.
