"My Lord Ainz." Demiurge stood at the front entrance, while Ainz went through the scrolls, sitting on his throne with a look of...well, the same look the lich had every single other time.

"It´s impressive we found all of these, Demiurge. So many records..."

"After our efforts in the nearby cities, it was still somewhat complicated, but as soon as you brilliantly pointed out the pattern I was able to track down the rest of the clues and form the map for the glorious one."

"...I see... Well, so long as we know these to be true. Though, they do seem familiar."

"Lord Ainz?" Demiurge approached, curious as to what content of the scrolls called upon a memory of his master. Perhaps some masterful plan? he early days of their tomb? Or even his old allies?

"I remember these players...well, I suppose you know them as "supreme beings"... they were here when i was still weak."

"Certainly, you being a supreme being shouldn´t speak of weakness."

"Maybe so. but even among the strong there are ranks. And before my guild was the strongest, the people in this records...No doubt about it, I don´t understand it, but it´s them. In the records. The mercenary assembly, whose throne we took after is disbanded..just like we did in the end..."

"Rest assured lord Ainz, that your glory will be just as great as all the heroes of the past combined, I Demiu-"

He was cut off by the laughter of the Skeleton.

"Demiurge, please inform the others to come here. I want to share these tales with all of you, we should learn from the past, from the other supreme beings. And you, Albedo..." Ainz turned to the demon hiding in the shadows. "Help me get them in order."

Demiurge appeared suprised at the reveal at first, but then grinned. Albedo kneeled, then nodded.

"As you wish, my beloved lord Ainz!" She looked up and smiled.

Oh?

Well that's strange. Last Kuro remembered, he had hit the exit button on his menu, which had disappeared, indicating it was logging him out. He had planned on leaving the game today to pursue bigger goals in life than gaming.  Kuro opens his bright, yellow eyes, looking around his current area. Kuro felt that when he ended the game, he should be at the highest peak of the game. He felt he should be sitting on the highest cliff ever known to be within the lands of Yggdrasil. The Lonely Mountain. Raising above even the highest of mountains and cliff sides, this area was the perfect place to end a game. Especially when the game was ending permanently. Kuro sits near the edge of the cliff, somewhat in the middle, in a meditation position. Kuro chose to end his game rather dramatically, as he felt he should leave his belonging, everything except his <Embodiment of Willpower> amulet, a teleportation ring for coming back and forth from Caritas, and some wrappings for clothes. Think of the Buddha casting away his belongings to reach enlightenment. That's how he wanted his story to end.

However, apparently it seems the story's still being written. And it's disturbing him. Usually he should be waking up from the headset by now. Kuro, no, Hotoke. Hotoke Kurotsuchi feels something quite strange, as the game appeared to be glitching his headset. Hotoke could feel something was wrong with Yggdrasil. Hopefully the GMs can clear this up. Maybe it's lag? He could never be sure. Hotoke quickly swipes his hand downward, attempting to open up the character menu in order to contact the Guild, the GMs, or anyone for that matter. His menu and GM call setting appear to have been disabled.  Looks like he'll have to speak to his guild-mates about this directly. However, his ring only teleports him outside the fortress. He'll have to walk in. Oh, that's going to be irritating. Hopefully the NPCs are still passive. Hotoke stands up, brushing off grass from his cloth wrappings, while then proceeding to hold up his ring of teleportation. He attempts to open the menu again, only to grimace at the fact that it's not available at the moment. He sighs, wondering how he's going to get back to The Castle of Caritas. Almost as if on cue, Hotoke is body is engulfed in a ball of deep, crimson light, before he vanishes in thin air, leaving only the quiet soothing wind blowing leaves off of trees, as the autumn setting on Yggdrasil begins to set into view.

Now the true game has begun.

"Getting closed to the damned is a dangerous thing..."

Gena's eyes opened the next morning, the supreme beings were gone. Her eyes scanned the bearings of the Creepy mansion, her eyes falling on a note left by one of the supreme beings? She had no recollection of hearing them mention leaving a note. She picked up the piece of paper and begun to read it.

"To Whom this may concern,

Current leadership of the Cave of the fallen will be passed down to the next higher up, including control of the ring of the damned and the Spear of the Fallen."

Gena glanced over to the ring that had laid beside the note and the spear that laid against the wall. In rank it only made sense that Gena would be the next in line to rule. She picked up the silver ring with black engraved incantations, holding it between her thumb and index finger, examining it before muttering softly to herself.

"So they have abandoned us.." she let the ring fall into her palm, clenching it tight for a moment while her nose sneered at the thought of the supreme beings treachery, at least to her this seemed like a treacherous act. The hollow feeling she had sickened her greatly as her eyes closed in thought.

After moments of standing and pondering, she slid the ring on her finger and picked up the spear, examining it. She walked down the hallway once more, her eyes landing on Hypnos. Her voice was cold and serious as she spoke.

"Gather the others out front, there is an announcement to be made Hypnos.." He stared at the white haired succubus for a moment as she walked past him towards the staircase. Curiosity filled his mind, but he did as he was told and gathered all the level boss NPC's out front.

Gena stood in front of the gates of the dark mansion, Hypnos and Gia knelt down beside her with their heads down and eyed closed. Gena's eyes scanned to make sure all had arrived before speaking.

"I found a note this morning. The supreme beings had betrayed and abandoned us leaving the next in command to take charge. Is there anyone who would like to fight me for that title?" Hearing the news they were betrayed by the Supreme beings that created then brought a sad look to their faces. They looked away when she asked if someone wanted to fight her for the title. After waiting awhile she continued. "Very well. As new leader of the Cave of the Fallen, I present a new rule. No on is to speak, or even utter the name of the Supreme beings that created us, the rest of the rules from before imply. Carey on with your task.." she said as the gates opened up behind her. The others from the lower levels muttered about the atrocity of the betrayal from their creators as they moved back to their levels. Hypnos looked over at Gia with a concerned look as Gena went back through the gates. The other two later followed, behind the was a loud 'Clang' indicating the gates had closed.

Gena sat in the once head Supreme beings study. Her wings folded forward a bit as she looked down at the ring around her finger. She made a silent vow to herself that she would not abandon her comrades like the supreme ones had. Her eyes closed as she finally broke the silence.

"Hypnos..how long do you plan on hiding behind that door..?" Hypnos walked around the door to stand in the doorway.

"My apologies Gena, you were so deep in thought I didn't want to disturb you. I came to check on you. You seemed bothered by what had happened.." his tone was soft as was his gaze on the succubus.

"I'm fine..You and Gia get ready, I plan on going out and you two are to accompany me." She said leaning back in the chair. Hypnos gave a nod and hurried off.

"Let's see what this world has.

Renya's eyes opened slowly as he recovered from an apparent slumber, his view slowly adapting to the newfound light as he tried to familiarize himself with the environment. "Ah... The Dark City..." He muttered to no one in special as he recognized his surroundings. Now that he cleared away the drowsiness from his mind he could clearly recognize the place that he came to use as a storehouse for his NPCs and equipment after the Mercenary Assembly started to fall apart, as well as his current situation. "So I fell asleep while playing? How unusual..." He muttered while pushing away the annoying white colored hair that covered part of his vision, as the feeling of the touch of the hair over his forehead was quite unusual for him, and started to once more stroll my the main area of the Dark City's castle, avoiding the talking NPCs tha...

"Feeling of hair!? Talking NPCs!? What the f-" He couldn't hold the sudden exclamation as soon as he noticed all the incongruent facts that he just noticed, his face barely holding a nonchalant expression while his mind tried to make sense out of the situation. He knew pretty well that even if Yggdrasil was an incredible game for the time, it couldn't replicate the five senses that exactly and undoubtedly didn't have the technology to make NPCs with enough of an AI to talk amongst themselves outside of the programmed for a quest, so all the situation was ridiculously wrong for him. A dream. That's it, I'm dreaming. As if to confirm his situation, his right hand moved to pinch the pale skin of his arm, just to result into a meager pain that hardly equaled what he would feel in the real life, as his defense stats surpassed the physical damage by quite the amount. "Are you kiddin-..."

"Are you feeling unwell, master Aleister?" A serious voice seriously asked, cutting away the incredulous mutter that Renya was about to vocalize. "I assure you that I'm fine, Adler. You can return to doing your chores." He managed to retort in a nonchalant tone that matched his expression, neatly dismissing the familiar NPC that talked with him even if his mind was screaming inside. What the hell is happening here!? It was clear that this was going to be a really long day.

The Cave of the Fallen.

'Oh dear, this is going to be very interesting', Kuro thinks to himself, as he walks within the dark caves that was presented to him. He would have to be cautious, somewhat. Gena was a very unpredictable NPC. She was powerful, and definitely deserved her title in the Cave of the Fallen. Kuro slowly walks into the chamber, some wrapping draped over his head. To the untrained eye, he seemed like an average human that had somehow walked into the chamber. His feet echo on the floors of the chamber, alerting the first floor's defenses placed within. The <Slime> minions are alerted to his presence, and bounce towards him in attempt to kill him. However, he walks past them with no visual effect on his body.  The <Slimes> bounce against his body, attempting to absorb him, take his essence. However, this was to no avail, as Kuro pushes one aside, and sends it flying into a tree, splattering into bits of slime chunks.

"Oh, whoops", Kuro comments, in a relatively young adult tone of voice.

"Retreat!! Retreat!!", the <Slimes> yell, bouncing in the other direction.

Did.. those <Slimes> just speak? Strange. Very very strange, indeed. Especially if they were retreating. Luckily, Kuro wouldn't have to walk though the entire chamber of The Cave of the Fallen. As soon as he stepped in the chamber, he would be able to access a stone monolith made specifically for the players to reach the top of the chamber if they were in a hurry. Kuro walks toward the small stone pillar, before suddenly hearing what sounds like shaking within the chamber. Oh god, it's the King Slime. Kuro turns to face his large gelatin opponent, whom suddenly begins to speak.

"You trespass upon the sacred grounds of Caritas; leave now or be absorbed!", the King says, his crown giggling above him. The creature was speaking?! Surely this was one of the guild members playing a trick, or using some Puppeteer spell of some sort. Kuro walks forward to see if the magical effect was in play on the Slime.

Kuro simply pulls off his hood to get a closer look at the creature, seeing no visible effect on the creature. The creature seemed to be attacking him, which was strange because the Slimes didn't attack members of the M.C.A., usually. Kuro assumes after this analysis that the NPCs have become sentient somehow. Because of this, he decides it would be rude to kill the <King Slime>, and decides to just simply dodge the monstrous gelatinous creature until he came up with something to do.

The Lamenting Forest

The dark forest of Caria, a place many players had perish within the tree lines of place. Within this forest at the other guarded entrance, the pale moon shined upon a single NPC as he made a lazy relax pose gazing at the forest. No enemies to fight. . . . How boring. Lemmy thought to himself as he slowly withers away in boredom. He decided to stand up stand up and walk to the forest with a blank expression in his face, as he walk he sees a regular scene of fallen warriors creeping around and monsters sleeping. "Why isn't there any other challenger!? This is soooo sad that it makes me cry!" As Lemmy said that while a single tear came out from his right eye in a comedic way, a violin starts to play a sad tone in his head. And stops again," Oh look at the time, Time to Praise Salem again! Such Fun, Such Wow!" Lemmy said as the trees of the forest slide aside making a path for him to go to a shrine dedicated to his creator Salem Grimm. Though as much as he praise his creator, yet he is vigilant enough and still awaits yet another potential unwanted person entering the Lamenting Forest.

(So who dares to step into the forest?!)

"Getting close to the damned is a dangerous thing.."

After sitting in 'her' chair for a few moments longer, she got up and walked towards the treasure room. She picked up a black cloak and put it over her shoulders, the cloak now hid her wings. Her hand reaching up to pull the hood up over her head. Her grey eyes falling down to the ring on her hand. She took a deep breath before attaching the spear in its hilt on her back.

Hypnos and Gia

large (4).jpgedf82bfd003efc09ddb1ce223210fcf9.jpg

Meanwhile an intruder had stepped into the first floor of the cave of the fallen, currently the king slime had been doing battle with the male, who was reluctant to attack back. Stepping out of the puddle that lead to the second level was a male with long white hair and light blue eyes. Accompanying the man was a black haired succubus, chains wrapped around her wrist. The two looked at Kuro.

"Oh my. Coming here unannounced? Have you no manners sir?" the male sneered. With a staff in his hand. The female yanked the chains on her wrist, a scythe dragged out of the water and into her hands. The two were ready to aid King slime until a voice from behind stopped them.

"Hypnos, Gia, king slime. Cease your attacks this instant.." the tone was calm, but still had a hint of annoyance. Stepping out from behind the two was Gena. She had successfully managed to get the ring to work. Her eyes narrowed on Kuro. Her tone was stern as she spoke.

"State your business Trespasser.."

Kuro

"Oh, it looks like I was unannounced, now was I?", Kuro responds, the wrappings on his body shuffling, as he pulled some off of his head, revealing a large amount of black, messy hair. Kuro wasn't entirely sue why he had his character keep his messy and annoying hairstyle. I guess he was just used to it. Hairstyles aside, he needed to come up with something to say, after all.

The NPCs had gained sentience. Okay, that seemed like it was new. He wonders what else had been changed? Regardless, he knew who was behind him. His Ki Sense told him enough. Usually, he had a minimap to see enemies' names and NPCs near him, but this was different. He could actually feel their energies behind him. This was no mere game anymore. He'd have to play it safe until then. In the meantime, he might as well respond to his war maiden demon associate before she gets impatient. After all, that's what one of the guild members had showed him before in the middle of her creation. Agh, he was getting off track.

"Or was I just simply returning from a pilgrimage, hm?", Kuro follows after his last words, turning around. The chamber seemed silent at his comment, as he eagerly waited for response to see if they actually had any viable responses beyond their programming. So he decided to toy with them a bit, as a test.  Kuro's hair somewhat covered his eyes, not impairing his sight, but mainly for dramatic effect (lmao).

"Getting close to the damned is a dangerous thing.."

Gena wasn't amused at all by his vague response. She was now beginning to loose her patience, her fingers gripped the rim of the hood that shadowed over her eyes, pulling it back to reveal the snowy white hair and light grey eyes that were narrowed on the male with the messy black hair.

"A pilgrimage huh? Stop with your damn games and give me the real answer." the tone of voice hinted to her irritation as she pulled the spear off her back. The handle gripped tightly in her hands, the tip of it pointed towards the ground. If he didn't give her an answer quickly she seemed as if she was going to attack. Her free hand pulled the black cloak off her shoulders revealing the torn black dress she wore, her wings spread as she spoke once more.

"Answer quickly. I'm losing my patience..."

(Crax´rxirc´s POV)

Yet another day came by, and sticked to my routine as instructed by the surpreme beings. They had instilled in me this will to work on my project, a potion for immortality. TRUE immortality. I was making progress, increasing the regeneration and lifespan of several creatures , even during torture. As if the seasons mocked me, though, death came to all beings in which I experimented. Truly a fascinating mystery, a protection against death. Even the supreme beings lacked it, albeit they were able to return to life. A mere delay in their great, bottomless power. Still, power alone doesn't take you everywhere. Wisdom is required as well. And so is ambition. You need wisdom to know which actions to take and ambition to actually take them, irrespective of how "drastic" or "cruel" they may seem to some. Often the best measures were ignored for those reasons, for reasons of compassion at your own risk. So much was lost to life. In a sense it made Caritas like a haven, a desolate castle surrounded by silent, distant, dead ice. Few intruders had dared come and me and the other hall leaders had dealt with them appropriately. I even was one of the few to know the details: I was the leader of the guardians, after all. Right below the supreme beings. I felt such pride in it too! It might not be my throne in the empire, but it was a sliver of the recognition I deserved. But it did come with appropriate responsabilities....

"My lord!" a small experiment came sliding in, a slime. When did it learn to speak again? "There appears to be trouble, my lord... The ice, the ice is melting! Caritas is under attack from the outside! We can´t find the source, or the reason why this is happening..."

"WHAT?" The precision haven of Caritas, melting? What monstrosity... No...what idiocity was this? Who dared stand up to us? Even if almost every supreme being had left, we still had ourselves as the great defenders of our castle!

I immediately left the hall and searched for the nearest supreme being. I needed orders.

"My Lord Aleister E. Bloodseal!" I called out , kneeling in front of him. "We require your commands. Caritas may be under attack, the ice around it is melting. Should I call the rest of the guardians?"

That's a problem, if this isn't a dream how the hell did I end up here? Why I can actually feel something inside the game? An actualization couldn't so something as absurd as that! Renya inwardly panicked, albeit maintaining the same cold expression in his countenance on the outside. He couldn't find a reasonable reason for what is happening, so dropping his act would probably be the worst choice possible. I need to find where exactly is this before anything... He calmed himself with this simple statement, surprisingly maintaining his cool even in such a abnormal situation, slowly adapting his mentality in accordance with the need of maintaining his sanity in such a strange situation... And if it is really the world of the game... Jackpot. Or maybe not even trying to maintain all of his sanity.

Before he could continue with his dangerous line of thought, a familiar voice interrupted his reasoning, pulling him back to the rea- maybe not so real world that he now lived in. Aleister E. Bloodseal..? Oh, that's my name here. The vampire ruler Aleister E. Bloodseal. He inwardly reminded himself of his own new identity, as if confirming his conviction, before he managed to reply, assuming the dignified tone that he would normally use during invasions. "Someone dares to attack our territory!?" He loudly voiced, stopping his walk and covering his face with his right hand for a moment. His whole body started to tremble in a way that would suggest fear if not by the following action: he laughed. An uncontrollable villainous laugher that took a dozen of seconds to end.

"Crax´rxirc, the Spirit Toxin, following the will of your master and your binding as the leader guardian of Caritas, do whatever you need to dispose of the worthless insects that dared to put their foot into the domain of the supreme beings." He nonchalantly ordered, taking his hand away from his face and waving it in an arrogant way, as if dispatching a servant. His eyes clearly showing the amusement that he supposedly felt from receiving the news of another suicidal attempt of an attack to the halls of Caritas and his mouth equally curved up in a satisfied grin. I hope this is enough to take him away from me. I pity the poor soul that tried to enter Caritas, but I definitely don't want to be in the company of such a sinister NPC. What the hell they were thinking when they made him look so eerie!? He inwardly thought, apparently not even bothered by the fact that he just condemned someone to a certain dead and not even noticing the failure in his common sense, a possible after effect of having the body of a blood sucker monstrosity.

Kuro

A smile formed at Kuro's lips after hearing of her impatience. So this was how it was normally going to be then, hm? That's fine with Kuro. Sentience in NPCs was going to be somewhat of a bother, especially with him trying to figure out the situation at hand. But regardless, they were NPCs, and now they had become people. It was time for him to set his place. Kuro brushes a bit of hair out of his eyes, revealing his glowing, golden irises that seemed to pierce through the darkness of the chamber. Kuro's wrapping seemed to fall of slowly, revealing a large number of tattoos on his body. Kuro looks up at Gena, squinting.

"You're losing patience, Gena?", Kuro asks, his tone becoming darker as he speaks. Surely he must've startled her by using her actual name. He usually belittled his opponents with words before combat. Like poison.  "I find it insulting that you haven't already figured out who I am, much less attempting to threaten one of your superiors", he says, slowly walking forward. Kuro crosses his arms, and his smile fades almost immediately. "Those of you who don't know.. or simply don't remember", he states, glaring in Gena's direction,"I am Kuro, the Strongest Unarmed Fighter, and I wish to speak with a mister Re-" he catches himself, before clearing his throat. "I wish to speak with Aleister E. Bloodseal", he says. "We have.. business to discuss", he says. He usually wasn't this harsh or serious, but he felt he had to if he was going to get through to these NPCs. Especially Gena, as according to one of the members of the MCA, she is cold and merciless, especially toward humans. She must assume he is a simple <Human>, but if she were to attack now, it would be a fatal mistake. Kuro only hopes that her anger doesn't get the best of her.

"Getting closed to the damned is a dangerous thing..."

In truth it came as a surprise that he knew of her name, but she didn't let her guard down. Her grip tightening on the spear when he said her name.

"I don't know how you know my name, nor do I give a damn about that. In this cave I have no 'Superiors' so don't get ahead of yourself boy..." A smirk soon painted her lips. Her mood seemed to change from being cold and serious to one more taunting. The mood didn't last for long when he mentioned the name of one of the supreme beings. Her mood going back to cold and serious.

"if you came to see THAT man then you are wasting your time. He, along with all the others have abandoned this cave..." her tone of voice was cold and serious. Her eyes narrowed back on his till her grey eyes met his glowing golden Irises. She had yet to move for an attack, she probably wouldn't either. She examined his moves cautiously.

Abandoned the cave? So that's why she was so hostile; she believed that the players within Caritas had abandoned her. She made a mistake mentioning that information, as it gave Kuro an advantage and opportunity he could simply not pass up.

"Gena, don't you even feel somewhat suspicious about who I truly am?", he asks, imitating being sad. "After all, those who were once here have left, and suddenly, out of the blue, someone arrives", he says, turning his head back to her. "A man who knows your name, a man who seems to have no fear entering the chamber, as if he's been in the chamber millions of times", he continues on speaking, pacing back and fourth as he speaks. "An 'average human' that simply walked into the freezing cold chambers of Caritas with no sign of physical harm".

He stops, and turns toward her. "I know you have no intention of attacking me, and the same falls upon you and I only have to simply ask of you..", he says, stepping closer to her and her minions. "Do you truly believe I would leave Caritas without a reason?", he exclaims, his expression tightening to an irritated squint. While he was speaking, this last line was actually true. He didn't really want to leave the game, to be completely honest. His life centered around Yggdrasil, he never really wanted to leave the game. His boss in the real world said that if he caught him coming to work late again, he would fire him. Without a job, he would have nothing to support himself or Yggdrasil. That's why he chose to leave. Now that he was stuck here, he would have no worries about anything.

Kuro sighs, his expression softening. "I had no intention of leaving. Something just caused me to leave, and I wish I never had", he says. He holds up his hand, revealing an M.C.A. guild ring. "I am one of those who had left, and I wish to take responsibility for my actions, and attempt to restore the throne of Caritas". "As I mention before, I am Kuro. The Strongest Unarmed Fighter in all of Caritas, and I seek redemption among those whom I have abandoned", he says. The thing is, he always felt close to the NPCs for some reason. He was made fun of in the MCA at times, for speaking to the NPCs, but now he felt that his actions had some significance now.

He was right. She wouldn't attack him if he posed no harm to her or the others, no matter how pissed she got. Her expression grew more irritated to more he went on and on. So what if he was one of the supreme beings. He sure as hell wasn't from the Cave of the Fallen. The mote he spoke like he  was just pissed her off even more. The minions narrowed their eyes on him.

"Do you honestly believe just because you show me one of the rings of the supreme beings that we're supposed to care? Your decision to leave Caritas wouldn't mean a thing to me. I don't know you and I really don't care how you know me or that you're a supreme being. Those stats mean nothing to us. If you have no business with me then leave." her serious tone never faltered for a moment, despite the unease she felt by him stepping closer to her. She could smell his sent with him that close which his sent seemed to frustrated her more and the softened gaze he gave didn't help matters any. What the hell was he trying to do? Sympathize for the NPCs? This man was very confusing and frustrating to her. The three behind her awaited her orders to attack.

"Well I guess that settles it then", Kuro says, his expression hardening once more. Kuro had tried everything he had to offer. These creatures were just like someone he knew very well. They didn't give a damn regardless of who they saw, even if they were a Supreme Being. They respected one, and only one being, and that either Gena, or the previous ruler of the Cave of the Fallen. Kuro lets his hand fall down to his side. Most likely those have left this chamber must've had something in mind, much like Kuro. Or they could be lost, and not be able to teleport back to their base. But whoever left this place left it in the worst possible condition. He felt sad for the NPCs somewhat. But now that he has seen how they treat those in Caritas, he felt nothing toward these NPCs anymore. Gena was.. unlikable, unfortunately. Kuro stands up, and dusts himself off, his wrappings forming around his body once more. He has no need to make a bargain with them of any kind. However, he did need to set one thing straight.

"However, if you even dare attempt to attack me in anyway, or threaten me", he says, staring at them, slowly walking off. "I promise you, I will show no mercy", he says, widening his eye, before pulling his wrappings over his head, and walking out, his deal officially done. There was one thing Gena had done correctly, however. She had taught him that not every NPC could be trusted fully. He takes one last glance at her group, he could sense them within the chamber. He didn't really need The Cave of the Fallen to get deeper into Caritas. He just  honestly knew the path better.

GranDrake Cathedral: Interior

The air tastes different. Too warm. Too dry. Something isn't right.

Manducor sat on the cathedra of Grandrake Cathedral, his tail flicking slowly along one armrest. Soft light filled the ruined building's ceiling, giving the place a soft eerie glow. Normally, the air was cool and damp, a perfect temperature for the picky Drakon, but now it had completely changed, right down to how the air currents flowed.

Manducor rested his head on his hands and his elbows on his knees, thinking. Why would the air change so drastically so suddenly? Are we under attack? No, it can't be; I haven't detected anyone for some time. Perhaps the area surrounding Caritas has changed. But how? I must confirm this for myself.

Standing and extending his wings, Manducor took off through one of the ceiling's many holes. He landed gently on the Cathedral's ruined roof, tiles shifting beneath his feet. For a second, the sun blinded him to the surrounding area, hanging brightly in a clear sky. His eyes slowly adjusting, Manducor looked around him—then scratched his head in confusion. He had never ventured outside his Hall before, despite it being so close to the surface of Caritas. He had no idea if the terrain he saw was the terrain Caritas had always sat on. He recalled hearing the distant rumble of a waterfall before, but that was gone; perhaps the land had changed after all.

This is beyond my knowledge. I'll have to find one of my Lords and see if they can confirm my suspicions. But doing so would leave my hall unguarded...abandoning my post would be most disgraceful. But, if this is an emergency, perhaps it can be forgiven this once.

Descending back into GranDrake Cathedral, Manducor opened the passage to Caritas that hid behind the cathedra, then quickly made his way inside, moving with haste. If memory serves from the conversations I've overheard, the closest Hall to mine is a forest of some kind...Lamenting—something or other. I will start my search there.

"Getting close to the Damned is a dangerous thing.."

Gena's eyes didn't leave the man until he left. If he thought his threat bothered her, it didn't. She couldn't give two damns about her own life, though she secretly cared for her fellow comrades that guarded each level of the Caves. She couldn't show that weakness to that man, or to anyone. Once kuro had left the cave she grabbed the black cloak and put it on again. Hypnos eyes softened on her.

"Don't you think you were a bit hard on him Gena? I know you didn't believe him to be a threat or you would have taken him out right away. So why did you have to be so harsh to him?" Hypnos said with a sigh. Gena pulled another black cloak out and threw it at Gia. His stated at it confused as to why she was handed the cloak.

"Gia cover yourself. I don't want the others to know what we are...And as for my reasons for being harsh..well let's just say I don't fully trust him..." her voice a bit low and soft at the last part. Her back turned from the two as she walked out the cave only to be greeted by the bright sun light. Damn was it still day? Could her day get any worse? Hypnos and His followed out behind her. Gia now wrapped in the cloak. Gena's eyes squinting from the bright light.

"Our first stop will be to the Dark City to wait till this Damn sunlight is gone." her tone hinted towards the irritation she had towards sunlight as she begun walking towards the Dark City wither two Guardians behind her.

Violet Croax

Location || The Croax Estate

The soft pat of footsteps over stone flooring could be heard, forever echoing in the caverns. It was the movement of servants, going from place to place, and busying themselves with redundant tasks hardwired into them since the day they came into existence. Deeper within the tunnels, in a particularly homey cave, Violet sat in a green velvet chair, book held in her slim fingers, and her glazed yellow gaze fixed on the dusty and worn pages of the novel. On the cover inscribed in gold print was the title "Anatomy". On the spine in the same style of lettering was some distant author's name, a name she had glanced at more times than one could count, but if asked to recall, probably couldn't for the life of her.

It was just like any other day. Violet remained alone in her little comfortable hovel, servants outside, patrolling and cycling their tasks. There was a bowl shape carved out on one of the walls where a makeshift fire place was set up. Violet didn't necessarily get cold but outside the estate, it was likely indeed snowing and freezing. Sitting in the same chair, reading the same book, waiting for... something. But unlike any other day, Violet came to a sudden realization: She didn't really want to be doing that anymore. Her head rose slowly and she placed the book down on the chairs arm, open, a bad habit that tended to ruin the spine, and got up from her chair. It felt as if it had been ages since she allowed herself to do anything else besides this. It was almost... refreshing, as if a breath of fresh air entered her lungs or if she had finally gotten a sip of crystal clean water after having been parched for countless hours. Violet left her little concave room and entered the caverns, dim lit but not a problem for her, and began heading down a certain and familiar path. Servants passed her in the hall, greeting her politely and with respect. Some she knew by name, and some she hadn't even remembered seeing before... Had it really been so long?

She brushed her fingers along the cave wall, the skin on her fingertips scraping against the rocky surface. This feeling... it was a mix between Deja Vu and a daze, like she was dreaming the same dream but never had it become a reality until only recently. It was a good amount of time before she reached the basement of her home and climbed the stairs to the actual first floor of the estate. Candles were left untouched, resting in candelabras and holders rimmed with old wax. Spiders made their homes in the corners, safe from being swiped away from any cloths or dusters. Dust coated every surface like skin and the floorboards creaked under her footsteps. It hadn't changed at all since she'd last seen it. The piano still sat in the corner of the living room, keys missing and bench broken, laying on it's side. The long oak table in the dining room was laid out neatly with plates and silverware but it was clear nobody ever ate there. Some of the furniture was covered with sheets and the mirrors were cracked. Once Violet had circled the estate, she made her way to the main hall with the large gold and olive green rug that led to the grand staircase and padded over to the large entry doors. If not made from a sturdy material, Violet was sure they would have been destroyed by this point. It had been an incredibly long time it seemed since anyone had entered or left this estate and even the door handles were adorned with dust and cobwebs. There almost seemed to be someone missing, someone she respected... Maybe she was going crazy. For the most part, Violet had been alone with her home and people. Still, it was a nagging feeling she couldn't ignore.

Without quite realizing her actions, Violet reached a hesitant hand out to grasp the shiny gold handle and pulled. The door clicked and with a creak, slowly swung open. The contrast from the dark home to the white snow was startling and she put up a hand to block her eyes instinctively. The moon didn't help, shimmering off the sheet of snow covering the ground and rocks around her. It was almost a blizzard outside and the wind and snow picked up the skirt of her dress blowing it around her wildly along with stray locks of ebony hair. There was this feeling in her chest, a tightening as she looked outside, at the vastness beyond. If her heart properly beat, it would have been hammering she was sure. Her breaths came out ragged and wheezed. And then finally, she took a few steps outside, her bare feet leaving a trail in the snow from the open doors to her retreating back.

(Crax´rxirc´s POV)

I almost back away at the loud shout after the moment of silence. Truly, a dignity worthy of the supreme beings, one whose mere presence could make a lowly creature (compared to them of course) such as myself lower or hide in fear of their might striking. However, it was disappointing to realize the supreme being was also lacking in awareness of the culprit, or even the deed itself. Not that they were obliged to, but it meant we were stuck in the initial problem of not knowing the actual source of the melting. In any case, I should clarify it.

"My lord Aleister E. Bloodseal, I´m afraid we only suspect an attack, given the sudden and quick pace of the melting, but..." I looked up and saw it, the exotic sight of a supreme being TREMBLING. Unnusual, unprecedented, historic! If I could dissect the supreme being right now, experiment on them, learn their every secret! But alas, it was not my place to do so. The supreme beings were worth following because they had too much value in of themselves for me to dissect them. Yet, why did one tremble now? It couldn´t possibly be that... Aleister E. Bloodseal was afraid, could it? No, no, why did I even have such thoughts? It was absurd to think our lord and master, a supreme being, would ever feel fear! And over such an insignificant pebble that couldn´t even strike Caritas directly and instead had to go for it´s surroundings, disguised? A weakling for certain, and Aleister E. Bloodseal was soon to reveal that he agreed with these thoughts as the trembling gave way to a wonderful laughter.

I stood after his next commands to dispose of this enemy of Caritas. With a hand to my chest, I bowed before the supreme being, inspired by his confidence on this matter. Indeed, there was nothing to worry. And nomatter who the attacker was, we even had more than just the guardians. We had TWO supreme beings on our side. Two who bravely and selfishly stayed behind with us, instead of departing to another world like so many did.

"Your wishes are my command, my lord Aleister E. Bloodseal. With your permission I shall henceforth call all of our available resources to track down the source of the melting and dispose of it as you have commanded."

I stood, then headed out to the door, and the first thing I saw was that woman, the leader of the cave of the fallen, Gena. Like me, her hall had a whole series of minions, some of which seemed to be accompanying her even now. Normally, I would have scolded for being careless, but at this moment, it actually helped. We did have our disagreements now and then, but my relation to Gena was on somewhat good terms, as the supreme beings had instructed upon us.

"Greetings Gena." I simply said, awaiting a small bow, as I WAS the leader of the guardians here. "I have orders from the supreme beings. Assist me in gathering all of the guardians. Caritas may be under attack, our sources have noticed a sudden outburst of ice melting. We must hurry, our environment is being lost at a quick pace."

I didn´t stay to chat and instead, got on my knees for impulse and leaped up, opening my wings once more... I would go and gather every guardian I could find in the amount of time I was given, then I would have them gather in Carita´s central hall.

Praying, Praying at the shrine of my creator, something to do at the very least and also pay tribute to my departed master. Though I do humbly accepted the ring she had bestow upon me, a keep sake, a silver of hope that perhaps one day she and others will return. But as of right now Praise the name of the supreme being, Salem Grimm- "Hail Salem!" I roared out loud as if I was heading to battle in a field of steel and blood. Though times have change and the only thought that come in mind is her finally orders, guard the hall and the secrets that lie within the forest

Well time will tell, other than that- "Welp I'm za done, hehe dx" as much as I want to go off and become grim and solemn, Thats Boooring. I mean It's serious and all but It can be excessive. Lemmy got up from his prayer pose and stretched out as he bowed before the statue of his creator. He starts to roam the forest.

Well that was certainly an unpleasant experience. Gena's creator and Kuro did have a few disagreements with each a lot, and that's probably a main reason why she's so hard for Kuro to read, as it was usually easy for him to read people like a book. It was one of the best things he could do. No matter. The Cave of the Fallen would have been a foolish way to travel anyways. Usually he did use it as a short cut to the Dark City, but regardless, if Gena were to block his path, he would find it rude to kill his rivals' creation. Even if he did swear no mercy, he'd rather kill the entire Cave of the Fallen instead of ruining his rivals' legacy.

After at least a few minutes of walking, it did not take long for Kuro to turn up upon the main chamber of Caritas. He knew the place enough to actually be able to travel there with no apparent difficulty. Continuing to walk through the chamber, he comes across a large plethora of Heteromorphic Creatures. Crax´rxirc, The Spirit Toxin. Guardian of the frozen over chamber of the brewing forest. Crax's programming had led to his character being manipulative. Best not to entirely trust him. Gena. Oh dear lord. Judging from their first encounter, they would probably be at odds. Hopefully that heals in time. And there was someone sitting in the middle of the throne room. A man with pale white hair, and even paler skin. He was dressed elegantly, in a way Kuro could nod at. He recognized this person.. could it be?!

"Aleister E Bloodseal. Damn, is that you?", Kuro shouts from across the chamber, walking up to him. He paid no heed to any other monsters that try to stop him.
