“Yeah, let’s head back to the guild hall so we can find a job to do together.” He gets up and offers his hand to help her up.

Kon grabs his hand and gets up, She then started making her way back to the guild hall. Looking back to make sure that Dan is following.

Dan followed Kon to the guild hall, on the way there he thought of something. “Oh yeah, since we’re gonna go on a mission together, you and I should probably form a team.”

"Sure, do you have a name in mind?" She asked looking at him as they walked. She couldn't think of any names for a team at the current moment, she wasn't really great with naming things in general.

“Hmm” he though for a minute. “River of blood? Or would that be too morbid?”

Kyoya Blackam & Tora

Tora's smile grew after Lilly thanked her for the water. It looked like the girl needed it. Satisfied with her care, Tora had passed out the rest of the water and took a seat, leaving two open seats next to each other for Kyoya and Lilly.
~~
As Kyoya sat down, his first instinct was to give a hard 'yes' answer to Kiara's question; He quickly stuffed down his first thought and decided to play it cool. He took a quick sip of water. "You could say that," he said, trying not to sound excited.

He nodded in response to Will's question. "I even signed up Tora. I'm going to show everyone how much I've grown as a wizard this past year. If we're paired up, Will, I'm gonna go all out, same goes for anyone," he replied, his excitement for tomorrow managed to slip though a little.

Kyoya turned to Lilly. "You might want to watch this year. It'll be interesting if other guilds or some guildless decided to participate. You never know what kind of magic they'll have. Maybe you'd find a style you'll like."
~~
Tora daintily drank some of her water and smiled during the conversation. Her expression suddenly became more thoughtful as Kyoya talked about the tournament. She had been hit by a realization; it was possible that her opponent could end up being Kyoya. She knew the tournament was just for fun, but she wondered if she'd be able to separate her maternal side long enough to get through a match. They've sparred before sure, but that was more about training than winning.

"The tournament is still one-on-one fights, right? Or did the Master change some things up this year?" she asked those at the table. She might need to have a chat with Makarov sooner than later. It wouldn't be fair to put on a mother vs. son fight. If the son won, he'd probably wonder if the mother held back. If the mother won, the son may feel like his talent wasn't good enough.

"It sound's fine to me, sure a little morbid but cool in way...if that makes sense" she said, scratching her head a bit as she was nervous.
“Yeah, so we’re in agreement. River of Blood it is.” After some more walking he asked “what do you usually look for when you’re choosing a job?”

"Usually something that just pays good but I'm always up for something more exciting. I'll definitely be down to try something more risky now that I know that I have someone who will have my back" She said and elbowed him playfully.

“Hmhm, I usually go with jobs that promise a fight, fending off bandits, getting back stolen items, that kinda thing, so we can find something like that.”

Lilly took her seat beside Kyoya and listened to the conversation that broke out about the tournament. She was interested to hear who was signing up and always enjoyed watching but, equally, it was just another thing in a long list of things that she couldn't participate in with her fellow guildmates.

Kiara giggled playfully as Kyoya tried his best 'cool guy' impression, but she could see right through him unless she was simply projecting her own excitement onto him. Kiara leaned over and ruffled Kyoya's hair. "You don't have to play it cool with us, Yoyo, now's the time to get all fired up! If we meet each other in the field, you better go all out, because I won't hold any punches either!" Kiara rambled on excitedly. Since the loss of her limbs, Kiara's confidence during certain Harvest Festival events such as the Miss Fairy Tail contest or even the Fantasia parade itself had dwindled slightly alongside her confidence in her appearance, and, though she had still yet to remaster her ability to Requip her armour, she was still able to hold her own in a fight.

Lilly had managed to lose herself deep in thought as the fighting talk continued. She'd started to follow a relatively distressing line of thought. 'What do I actually contribute to the guild?' 'Maybe they're just keeping me because they feel bad for me?' 'Will I ever be able to use magic?' Lilly's hair had started to shift from its usual brown hue to a dark blueish colour. Suddenly, she snapped out of her train of thought when she felt Kyoya's eyes on her. "Y-yeah, I-I'll definitely watch!" She replied, trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible, but she was still trying to leave her thoughts behind. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind and return to the conversation.

Kiara thought for a moment after Tora asked if the tournament would still be strictly 1 on 1 fights. "I would assume so..." She responded thoughtfully "They've been 1 on 1 up until now, so I don't see why the format would suddenly change. But, equally, you know what the master can be like when he feels like it."

Will Diamant
Will flashed a grin at Kyoya, followed by a thumbs up. "I'll be honest, that fight would be weird. Hard to punch a shadow." Glancing at Tora he gave a nod of agreement. "Yea, still one on one's. Unless Makarov changes it around on us, that is." Wouldn't be unusual, especially when it came to Fairy Tail. Someone could come out in the morning and declare they were going to fight the sun, and everyone would just accept that...actually, some might try to help. A smile tugged at his lips at the thought...fight the sun...naaaah. Turning to Lily he crossed his arms, nodding thoughtfully. "You've seen all of us here, but if someone outside of Fairy Tail gets involved, always fun to take a look at what they can do. Kiara makes armor and Swords, I turn into diamonds, Kyoya is shadows, and Tora is an exceed with transformation magic...Honestly, Tora probably is the coolest out of all of us." It was a light-hearted joke, they were all unique in their own right. "I'm probably at the bottom of that ladder. Do you know how much of our jewels from jobs is spent on refilling my satchel?" A sad sigh escaped him, the male resting his cheek in his hand. "Too much, is the answer. We could save money by buying coal but uh...I'd rather eat my shoes?"

Kyoya Blackam & Tora

"Gah," Kyoya made a noise as Kiara messed with his air. "I am fired up!" he exclaimed as he fixed his hair. "I just said I wouldn't go easy during the tournament!" He glanced to the side like a defeated little brother. Looking at Lilly, his face lightened as she told him that she'd watch. He noticed that her hair had changed color. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it had something to do with what was on her mind. He wasn't a mind reader, but with a little brotherly intuition, he could guess.

"Hey," he said softly, gently bumping his fist against her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll find your magic one day." He grinned reassuringly.
~~
Tora was still concerned about the tournament. She had a nagging feeling that she should talk to the Master. While it was true that Makarov was a little unpredictable, she just had to get it off her chest. She was sure that he'd listen. Family always came first at Fairy Tail.

On the topic of family, the gang at the table was definitely acting like one. Tora softly giggled at the sibling-like banter and cast a maternal look at the three youngsters.

"I'm the coolest?" she asked Will with a chuckle, placing a hand over her heart. "Well, I'm flattered you think so, but everyone is cool in their own way."

She could feel her mood being lifted, but she could still feel the mother's burden that was on her heart; it was faint, but still noticeable.

"Sorry to run while things are getting good. If you're still partying, I'll catch up in a bit. If not, I'll see you all tomorrow." She poofed back into her Exceed form and sprouted her wings. She was about to jump off the chair, but stopped the motion before her paw-like feet left the chair. "Oh, and Will. If you ever want a free home-cooked meal, I'm always happy to oblige," she said in a motherly tone. She got the feeling this wasn't the first time she had told him that.

Tora hopped off the chair for real this time and gently flew above her guildmates. She headed toward Makarov's office. She landed beside his office, canceled her Aera spell, and knocked a paw-like hand on the door. "Master Makarov?"

Jet and Flame settled at a small restaurant, and despite Flame not eating much, they were honestly just killing time and enjoying themselves. The communication devices clipped to their ears were on mute unless it was urgent, and there was no reason for either of them to have to use their magic.

It was nice.

But if they were being honest, new places did stress them both out quite a bit, as many people tended to be... curious about Jet's wings. Granted, fully spread, they were over twenty-eight feet long total, but it was a bit like grabbing someone's arm, poking it several times and asking if it was real.

Flame snorted at the simultaneous train of thought. It was annoying to say the least, the tugging and awestruck child-like yanking was something they've both shared, mentally and physically. The dragon shuddered, sticking their tongue out at Jet, who tossed a cherry-seed at them. Flame startled, squawked, and whacked it back at him, muttering in indignation under their breath.

Thus ensued makeshift tennis with a well-contained cherry-seed, since neither of them would let the thing hit them and would feel too guilty letting it fall to the floor.

And it never occurred to either of them that they could simply catch it.

Kiara Li.png

If she recalled correctly, Kiara was pretty sure that the contestants in the tournament were hidden to all competitors until the fight began, making planning for your opponent nigh on impossible to keep everything on an even ground. Attack-wise, this wasn't too much of an issue for Kiara as she could switch out weapons as and when she needed them, but since her 'incident' she was stuck with only a single set of armour and so would have to give a decent amount of thought into which set she would take in with her. Kiara snapped out of her little internal planning session as Tora announced that she had to run. "Hopefully see you later!" Kiara chirped, "But if not, sleep well!"

"Maybe..." Lilly mumbled as Kyoya tried to reassure her, she smiled up at him. Her lack of self-faith wouldn't stop her from trying, she just wasn't overly confident that she'd actually make any progress. After all, most wizards she knew didn't ever seem to have had and serious issues discovering their favored magic, they just needed to put the effort into mastering it. Lilly had started to feel that, despite what everyone had told her, maybe she just wasn't cut out to be a magic-user.

Makarov Dreyar
Makarov had been busy working his way through a generous pile of paperwork sent to him by the magic council regarding various cases of 'Damaged Property' that were the result of Fairy Tail's members' general 'overly enthusiastic' nature. But for the moment the paper was untouched, an un-capped pen lying beside a half-written note of apology. Makarov was standing to the side of his desk, a troubled expression on his face. Before him, stood a man who appeared to be very official. The man in question was stood on a large magic circle that spun continuously on the ground, the work of a long-range communication lacrima which was projecting the man's image into the room. "I see... this is rather worrying..." Makarov commented quietly. "You have no need to worry, Master Makarov," the man stated confidently, "The Magic Council has everything under control, we're just notifying all of the guild leaders, especially the ones who were involved. It's nothing more than a precaution." Makarov adjusted his gaze from the floor and looked up into the man's eyes. "forgi-" Makarov stopped mid-sentence, his words cut off by the sound of knocking against his office door followed by someone calling his name. "This could be important," He told the man before him, "We've very busy here today after all." He turned to look towards the door. "Come in!" He called.

“Hmhm, I usually go with jobs that promise a fight, fending off bandits, getting back stolen items, that kinda thing, so we can find something like that.”

"Sure, I'm fine with anything really," she said. "Just as long as we split the pay and It's exciting," she said noticing the guild hall building as they approached it.

Will Diamant
Hearing the offer for free-home cooked meals always lifted the teen's spirit. If there was one thing he loved almost as much as sleeping, it was food. And yet he never got out of shape...a mystery that no one, not even himself, understood. "Thanks Tora! I'll keep it in mind, as always!" Turning his attention towards Lily he nodded gently. "Don't worry so much, it comes at different speeds. I didn't learn how to do my magic right away...Actually, first lessons was seeing how durable I was." He started to chuckle, cupping the back of his head in recollection. "I got tossed through a lot of boulders. Just be glad your learning process doesn't involve that, right? It'll happen, I know it! Your hair and eyes already work like a mood ring, so that shows you've got something going on...What if your magic turns out to be like colors? Shooting rays of color, and each one does something different? Orrr maybe you can camouflage!" Reaching over, he gently knocked Kiara on the shoulder, as if tagging her in. "Or maybe it works like a re-quip of some sort. Can't stop trying, because then you've lost. So long as you're giving it your best shot, your winning!"

Leaning back in his chair, he kicked his legs up on the table, crossing his arms over his chest as his hair teetered precariously on its hind legs. "Y'know...this is sort of cozy..." Shortly after his comment, a soft snore had started escape him, head lolled back over the back of the chair. Somehow, Will had changed gears from giving advice to nap time. Though, to a FairyTail guild mate, that was par for the course. He'd probably wake up in time to go to an actual bed. Or Kiara would toss him in through his bedroom window, either or.

Tora
Tora used her human transformation just long enough to easily open the door and close it behind her. "Sorry to interrupt, Master," the Exceed said apologetically with a bow. It looked like he was talking to someone. She also bowed toward the projection.

"I just had a concern about the upcoming tournament..." She looked up at Makarov. "Kyoya and I are both signed up. You don't have to tell me how you're choosing the match-ups, but I'd like to request that you don't pair us up against each other." Her ears drooped and she clutched her tail, holding the end in font of her. "I fear it would be a little psychologically damaging, for both of us, if it came down to a mother vs. son battle."

Geozaki Geozaki (Makarov)

Kyoya Blackam
Kyoya chuckled after Will had fallen asleep. This was to be expected. It would have been more surprising if he had stayed awake the whole time. "Is that a new record?" he asked, not really thinking. "Nah...I guess not...," he quickly added. He could have reached a point where it can't be broken anymore.

He took a sip of his water and looked over at Lilly. He began to think of a new topic of discussion; he felt like everything that needed to be said about her search for her magic style had already been said. "What are you looking forward to tomorrow, Lilly?" he asked. He was pretty sure everyone else at the table had given their input on that.

"Yeah, I guess you're right..." Lilly said in response to Will, her hair shifting back towards its more natural brown colour. "And we'll be beside you all the way until you find your magic and well beyond that!" Kiara chirped as Will knocked her on the shoulder. "Whatever it is, I know it'll be awesome!" Kiara added with a playful grin. Kiara noticed Will's lack of conscience and giggled quietly, she'd been wondering how long it would take for him to doze off. "I'm looking forward to it all!" Lilly chirped in response to Kyoya's question. "But especially the Fantasia Parade and the Tournament" Those two events had always been Lilly's favorite. She never really participated much in the guild's events as there was almost no way she could contribute, but the tournament and the parade were the two events that she got to fully see just what her guildmates were capable of. In the tournament, everyone was going all out in a combat setting and showing off what offensive and defensive spells they had access to, and, in the parade, everyone was showing off the more 'aesthetic' side of their magic which was just as awe-inspiring.

Makarov Dreyar

"No need to apologize, my child," Makarov said softly. He listened to Tora's request intently as she spoke. After a brief moment, he replied. "We certainly don't want to cause a situation that could be damaging to anyone." He stated. "The entries are usually randomized..." he explained, "but I'll see if I can't pull a few strings to make sure you're both on opposite sides of the bracket, which means that unless both of you win every fight, you won't be pitched again each other. However, if both of you win all of your battles and end up facing each other in the final there's very little I can do to prevent the two of you being against each other without bringing proceedings to a sudden halt."

Tora & Kyoya Blackam
"I understand, Master," she said with a bow. She let go of her tail and her ears perked back up. Cupping her paw-like hands together, Tora spoke up again. "I'm going to do my best at the tournament, I'm sure Kyoya is too. If it comes down to the two of us in the end, considering what you've just told me, I'd rather face it head on." It would be a shame to cancel the last fight of the tournament.

She started to walk toward the door. "Thank you, Master. Sorry again for interrupting." She quickly transformed into her human form and gave one last bow before leaving.

She poofed back into her Exceed form and flew back toward the table. She was glad to see Kyoya and the others still chatting. It also looked like Will was fast asleep; She softly chuckled at the unsurprising sight.

Tora landed gently on the table. "Hello again," she said cheerfully. "What did I miss?"

"Not much. Will fell asleep and we've been talking about tomorrow," Kyoya replied. "Speaking of which, I think I'm going to call it a night. Gotta make sure I'm rested up for the tournament after all. See you guys tomorrow." He stood up and waved at Kiara and Lilly; he would have waved at Will, but he was asleep and wouldn't see it.

Tora flew after Kyoya and landed on his shoulder. She sat down and rotated her torso so she could wave behind her. "Goodnight everyone. Sweet dreams," she called out in a maternal tone.

Kiara playfully saluted Tora and Kyoya as they left to go to bed. "I guess it's time that I get you to bed too..." She said, mostly to herself, looking at Will. She turned to Lilly. "You gonna be okay?" She asked the younger girl. Lilly nodded with a smile. "Yeah thanks" She responded. "Just don't stay up too late," Kiara told her. "I won't, I just need to do a few quick things before I leave," Lilly replied. Kiara nodded. "Sleep well," She said before taking Will's arm around her neck and propped him up on her shoulder, if he woke up that would be preferable, but should he stay asleep, Kiara had done this enough times to know that she could carry him to his bed.

Lilly stood up from the table and made her way into the guild's library/archive. She had spent so much time in this room since first being adopted into the guild. Sometimes she simply came to find something to read, other times she would grab a certain book that someone needed or help organize the shelves, but, tonight she had come into the room for the one reason that bought her here more than all of the others combined. Lilly made her way to a section packed with books about different types of magic, she found the first one that she was yet to work her way through and slipped it off the shelf...

(Initiate Timeskip Sequence, I guess :D ))

Will Diamant
The sun shone down on green rolling fields, and a mountain could be seen towering in the distance. Will dusted himself off, standing up from the rubble that had once been an impressive boulder. "Okay, that hurt a lot less than when we first started, mom. Can we do some magic training now though? Something besides my endurance training? I think we're running out of boulders!" he joked through a laugh. Nearby, a large dragon made of pure diamond and gemstone heaved a sigh, shaking her head. "Still not strong enough, dear. I saw you wince. Come over, we're keeping at this until we've got you ready." A groan escaped him before the sun became bright, so unbearably bright, what was going on?

Will opened his eyes, staring upwards into a beam of light that had become amplified through his window, a hand going over his eyes to block the painful rays. "I'm up, I'm up." He rolled off his bed with a soft 'thud', standing up and stretching. Just another dream, another memory. Bittersweet to remember, but not terrible to have. He'd find her again, he just had to keep an eye out. But today was the Harvest Festival, so he had to get ready! Moving to his closet he did the usual routine of getting changed into one of his identical sets of attire, a brown leather jacket, tee, jeans, and boots. Rushing out the door of his bedroom as he grabbed his satchel of 'supplies', he made a beeline to leave the dorm building. Had to go catch up with Kiara, and wake her up. It was mildly ironic to everyone, including himself perhaps, that this was one of the only days of the year where Will was the one doing the waking.

Kyoya Blackam & Tora
Sunshine fluttered through the window and onto Kyoya's bed in the Guild Apartment room he shared with Tora. Kyoya was awake, but kept his eyes closed, trying to fall back asleep. He had some time to kill before the tournament. Why not pull a play from Will's playbook and get some extra rest in. That's when a sweet smell wafted into his nose. "Pancakes!" He sprung up to a sitting position. It was his favorite breakfast food. He almost ran to the kitchen, but stopped himself after getting off the bed. "Play it cool..."

Kyoya walked nonchalantly into the little kitchen and spotted Tora cooking at the stove. She was in her human transformation, wearing a modest black nightgown and a pink apron.

"Good morning," Tora greeting. "Today's a big day, so eat up."

She handed him a plate with pancakes and fruit. The pancakes were shaped like Exceed heads, or cat heads...he never really asked what they were supposed to be, but they always tasted good.

"Thanks."

Kyoya sat down and started to eat. Tora smiled contently, but he was too focused on eating to notice.

She grabbed a plate of her own and sat down on the opposite side of the table.

"Any plans before the tournament?" she asked.

"I was thinking of scoping things out," he replied between bites.
~~
"Thanks again for breakfast, Tora," Kyoya said, as he placed his empty plate in the sink.

"Anytime, kiddo," she replied as he left. "I'll catch up in a bit."

Kyoya changed into his usual outfit. Dark colored pants, plain T-shirt, jacket with fuzz around the hood, and black sneakers. He stepped out into the main hall and made his way toward the exit of the building. He rounded a corner and bumped right into Will.

"Sorry," he said. He couldn't help making a surprised look on his face. The sleepyhead was actually awake, and here he had thought about sleeping in. "You must be pretty fired up about the tournament. You're not usually up this early," he added, stating the obvious.
