You could find an image you like and base the character off of it. I based my character's magical side on the image
Even if you don't like that idea, don't worry you have time. You could come in a little later as that slightly antagonist guy who turns out to just be trying to steer them on kind of trope.

I am thinking of adding a second character waay later on, after they know who they are and can control their powers/have been fighting for a while or so. Like a mystery transfer student maybe. But mostly just if things will need something to pep the story up.
