A darkened empty and bleak looking hallway that seemed to stretch on forever led to a big throneroom that had been turned into an office and was occupied by two human-looking shapes that couldn't be seen very clearly in the dim light coming from a couple of candles standing on a big oak desk.
"Safalite is everything prepared for our departure? We must make sure everything is according to plan. Our queen will only awaken if we follow the rituals to the T... We require a lot of energy" said a female as she walked towards the window and stopped to look out of it for a moment with her fingers intertwined behind her back. Long black fingernails could be seen despite her wearing floor-length sleeves on a dress that was short, elegant yet had big bushy feathers around her neck. Her hair was ruby red and very curly, it barely moved as she turned towards the second figure.
"Yes Nixis, everything is prepared. The portal fairy we captured is ready to open a passage to earth where we can collect all the needed energy" said a male as he stepped towards the woman at the window. She smiled an emotionless smile and put a stray strand of black hair behind his ear. The male was young, a lot younger looking than the woman who appeared to be in her early forties. He wore a long black coat with many black strings cascading down his hips. Said strings had small metallic hoops bound to the tips as well as along their length and he subconsciously tried to escape the woman's touch.
The woman saw his reaction and her expression hardened before she swung towards the door "change your clothes, fetch your weapon and meet me and the others at the portal, it is time to go to Earth. Son" she bit out the last word in anger as she closed the door. The male rolled his eyes "yes mother" he whispered sarcastically before heading to the door as well.
Meanwhile on Earth...
"Oh no! No, no, no, no, no!" Nami chanted as she woke up to see it was already eight o'clock. Like so many times before, she had overslept. "Stupid alarm clock! Why didn't it wake me up!" She whiled as she jumped around on one leg while trying to put a knee high sock on the other. She was trying to reach her small bathroom without losing her balance.
Just as she was about to put the sock on successfully Nami slipped on a shirt she had dropped on the floor during the struggle and she tumbled to the ground like a tumbleweed. Nami groaned as she sat up and rubbed her knee "urgh, Nami you clutz. Right! There is no time for complaining" she muttered under her breath and sighed, stood up and continued to hurry around her room to and from one end to another in order to pack things needed for school and get ready.
She ran into the kitchen, grabbed her lunch box and kissed her grandmas cheek who looked at her disapprovingly "Nami my dear, you will have to do something about your oversleeping" she said and Nami smiled "grams I'm in a hurry, let's talk about it after school? Have a nice day!" She yelled over her shoulder just before closing the front door. As soon as she was on the street she started to run in the direction of the school.
It took her a while but eventually, Nami reached the classroom and burst through the door like a mini tornado "I am so, so, so sorry for being late again sensei!" Nami said while bowing and proceeded to hurry to her seat with cherry red cheeks that made her embarrassment very evident.
