Fantasy Magical Girls

Here we have finally hashed out the ideas for a magical girl team! there will be 5 members of the main team, but there can also be villains and other characters to be allowed.


I'm hoping for this to be a casual but kind of serious roleplay. I want literate people who can give 2-3 paragraphs a post minimum on average, definately no constant one lining. I'd like people who want in to stick with it, too. don't join and then disappear. There won't be an activity requirement so long as people actually stay involved.


The team's theme is Crystals. As follows are the members and their corresponding elements. There will also be other abstract power/symbolism for the members (i.e. Love, Justice, Peace, Friendship, Courage, etc) which members will get a choice of when they pick their spot.

A team of 5. so, like, you would prefer a central team and other characters branching off? ideas for a team theme?

I like the idea of a central team with other characters branching off. The team name would be The Battle Lovers. The magical girls would have element based powers: leader will have light based powers, and the rest fire, water, nature, and lightning. That's what I have for now.

lol as cute as that name is, i think it is already taken by a certain magical boys team. maybe the leader could have balance (in the form of dark and light) powers and the others could be the basic elements (fire, water, earth, and air?). Also, that's really generic. Maybe there could be some kind of symbols that go along with them so they can add a bit/personalise their powers/abilities. Like sailor moon has planets, Mew Mew Power does colors with a sort of animal theme. maybe we could do star signs? or some other symbols with a link to them?

sounds cool to me! but maybe a few changes where the fire could be pheonix, water could be siren/mermaid/undine, earth could be a floral/plant elflike thing, air could be a sylph. Maybe balance could be fae like and have a symmetry yin-yang fairy/angel thing going on?


i'm not a fan of using "nature" as one, since ALL of the elements are nature. Earth would be a good replacement for it though, and is basically the same what with ground and plants and stuff

Maybe the theme could be candies? Leader would be Candy and the rest chocolat, peppermint, lollipop, and caramel. Can't think of a team name yet xD and feel free to throw in more ideas for names for this theme!

nature is treant since well it is a litteral part of nature and elfs actually have a dark version called night elfs so they could work as yin and yang

well treants are really specific to dungeons and dragons. and in a lot of mythology and fantasy, elves are linked closely to nature like forests and stuff. again, I'm thinking we'll change "nature" to "earth" since ALL elements involved make up nature.


Candy is a super cute theme, though i dont know how it would tie in with the elemental powers and stuff. o-o maybe we can do something like this as a basic formula for magical girl making. Its similar to other generic magical girl shows/ideas


abstarct idea (ie. Balance, Love, Justice, etc.) + groupwide symbol + color+ element = Magical Girl!


so like, for example, if we did Candy as the theme one could be the Candy Love with chocolate as their symbol, red as a color, and fire as an element.

opal is every color it reflects all colors hence balance. diamond is water due to it being found very deep under ground. just like water and lava

opal comes in a wide variety and is often a mix of colors. i like the idea of fire being ruby but quartz could also work, since it symboloizes fire

no quartz is always white in games i have seen hence air being see through and quarts crystals being see through. i made the combination

Quartz represents fire. also, it isnt even white its a cloudy clear color. in some varieties of quarts the cloudy part is colored (like in rose quartz it is a rosy pink).

i say quarts crystals are clear and i didn't say rose quarts at all hence it being air


and opal can be all colors that is why it is balance
