Fantasy Magic Bites Back

Rouge_Raven

Queen of Books

Elvira
Location: Rostrannoth Castle
Mood: Intrigued and Anxious
Interaction: Prince Rostrannoth
With: No one

The click of her boots echoed throughout the empty hallway which each step across the cold granite tiles only muddled by the muffled whispers form rooms around her. It was so strange for such a lively place to be so quiet. Elvira could sense the energy that hung over across the walls, marking it as one always touched by life, but the quiet suggested other wise. Silence meant loneliness, a lesson she'd learned hundreds of years ago. No, she didn't have time to dwindle on the past. She needed to remain focused what or rather who called her here in the first place. The newly appointed King.

It was a rarity to receive messages requesting her arrival to a castle or even a place inside the kingdoms borders. If someone wanted her expertise, they would appear at her home deep in the Blackwood Forest, not send a royal advisor asking- no begging for her help. It was strange and from a people so known for violence and death nearly unnatural. The irregularity of the request placed Elvira on edge as every fiber of her being waited for a possible attack, but also ignited her curiosity. What catastrophe has hit such a growing kingdom so adjusted with seeing the worst of all could not fix it? The thought nearly made Elvira crack a smile. It had been too long since she'd had faced a challenge, or the possibility of one.

Dark hazel eyes darted upwards as mahogany wood flooded her vision. It appeared she'd reached her destination, the King's study. Elvira rapped her knuckles lightly against the monstrous door, keeping herself from simply stepping inside. She knew the one who lurked inside would not be fond of her exchange, most likely deciding to react aggressively. After all, the stress pouring out of the room was enough to flood a town in pure agony. This would truly be an interesting day.

Elvira
Location: Rostrannoth Castle
Mood: Curious
Interactions: Prince Rostrannoth
With: King and Prince Rostrannoth

Elvira held back a grimace at the authoritarian voice that called for her entrance. Annoyance boiled in her gut at the aura of control that oozed from the King. That was always what she hated being around royalty. They assumed she was a dog attached to a chain ready to meet thier every desire and want. They hadn't come to harsh realization that this dog had teeth and would use them to shred the flesh of those who wronged her. The only thing keeping her from reacting harshly was the simple fact they weren't in her territory. She didn't have the upper hand, so she would keep her cool. For now that is.

Pushing the door open, Elvira slipped through the gap, gliding in like a ghost. If it wasn't for the little color that remained in her skin, one would have thought she was a ghost, coming to collect a soul for its sins against her.
"Per your letters request, I tried to arrive here as soon as possible. However, I was spared the details of the....incident." Cold emerald eyes glanced over the room, gliding over the King's form quickly only to stop on the Prince. A flicker of recognition appeared in her eyes as everything seemed to fall together. She knew him. It had been a long time, but she knew that face. A face that hadn't left her mind for years now. It seemed that this was getting a lot more worth while then she could have ever imagined. Without a second thought, she quickly turned her attention back to The King, staring him dead in the eye. In the blink of an eye, she seemed suddenly closer to the older man, forcing him take a few steps backwards to restore the distance.

"I must know everything if this is to go well. Leaving out anything could lead to the loose of whatever you're searching for, voiding the deal." She wasn't about to sugarcoat the situation or give either male any leeway to argue. If they wanted her help than they needed to realize from day one that she was the one who had the last call. It was her magic and they had asked for her help. They did not have the right to barter. One cannot beg for aid and then decide the conditions it falls into. The sad truth came into the equation that she didd not need them. She could find others to offer her the same or greater wealth. They needed her, and she would use it to the fullest extent.
