Fantasy Magi Sisters

Abigail nods."it's not your fault hope. Life happens will get her back."Abigail says. When her father said the time was now she nodded her composure still in place. She wasn't going to cry there was no time. She walked over and picked up her Crystal ball. She held it to her heart. The ball felt perfect in her hands. She almost felt her emotions disappear.

Irish Ice Queen

Hope was just waiting for Devon and Leslie now...she was determined, and scared...but determined.

The sphere pulsed when she touched it. Leslie's heart responded in an out of beat rhythm. She tore in a long shaky breath. It was now or never. A red and white glow lit Leslie's skin as she held it to her heart. The magic inside the sphere merged with her energy. Leslie laughed as her cheeks flushed and she became unbearably warm. "This is amazing." Leslie said.

Devon stood across the room with her arms crossed over her chest, "I told you I'm not taking any part in this magic shit, so if you expect me to go over there and claim my 'destiny' I won't," she said bitterly taking a seat on the sofa. She never had the time to be alone anymore; there was always something going on that made her be involved, this was just another one of those moments and she did not want to be apart of this.

Hope, the young and innocent, looked upon Devon. "Mom is gone...don't you care, you heartless bitch?!" She exclaimed. She had never insulted her sister before...this was unlike her, and it made her shake out of nerves. "This isn't about you, or your boyfriend, and that shit, it's about our family! Now get the fuck over yourself and get over here!" She yelled, her voice breaking. Hope was gentle...she adored her sisters, and she had never raised her voice at them. But she was dead serious...this was no time for petty fits.

Dad scoffed. "Perhaps Devon isn't concerned with family affairs...Hope, I know you didn't mean to yell at her," which she didn't, "but now isn't the time to argue. Three isn't the same as four...but it'll do. Now, with your crystals close, close your eyes." He said, making Hope close her eyes. She and her two sisters, should've been three, (don't worry Red, it'll all be okay xD ) and Dad lifted his hand. "Heavenly saints...please, I beg you now, grant my daughters the power of magic!" He chanted, a strong light now surrounding the girls. The light was beautiful...and yet somehow, by destiny...Devon's ball floated to her and glowed brightly, calling out to her, Jace's voice inside, an illusion, saying "C'mon, beautiful...it's okay."

"Icthay, unious, iquestras!" Dad chanted again, the balls now flashing and sending the magic down the girls' bodies, filling them with their power and true potential. When it was finished, the light went away...and all four girls, even the "unwilling" Devon now possessed their magic.

Hope opened her eyes and gasped, the magic rushing through her veins. She was icy cold...but it felt like she was supposed to.

Devon nearly ripped her eyes out from the damn sight of Jace. It made her even more angry that she was apart of this mess and didn't have a Jace by her side anymore, Abigail claiming he was a Templar. And if that was true he wouldn't be so upset about her alleged cheating, and wouldn't break up with her. Most likely he would have killed her by now. Devon waited and silence fell over the room. She wanted to say that things felt the same but they didn't, it was almost as if she could feel the atoms moving through the air and it felt as if the earth around her was breathing with her.

It's all just one crazy dream.

Devon gave one last glance towards her dad before she turned around and left to go back to her room.

"This....this is magic? It's...amazing!" Hope said, lighting up like a Christmas tree. She was sobbing intensely a minute ago...but the wonderful power gave birth to new found happiness. Small twinkles lit the air up, magic sparkling like in the cartoons.

Leslie turned over her hands. The magic hummed from her fingers. She couldn't keep from grinning. Looking at her sister and noticing Hope was ecstatic as she was made Leslie's smile wider. "Dev's going to come around eventually." She said. Leslie chomped on her bottom lip. She looked at her dad. "We can't tell anyone about our powers right?" Leslie eyed Abigail with skepticism. Of all of them, she was most likely to spill their secret to her precious Clay. "Oh god, what if Dev tells Jace?"

Abigail was breathless for a bit. She felt oddly hole, not that she didn't before but it felt like she waa missing something. Abigail looked at her sister's and shook her head. She gave Leslie a dark look. "Yeah going back to what I was doing." She brushed past her sister bumping her with her shoulder annoyed. She went up to her room and grabbed her phone. She sighed and waited on clay to reply to her text hey.

Reality soon came to Devon, and she soon realized that both Jace and her mom was gone. On top of that no one in her family seemed to want to help only give her pity of be mad at her. The only person she felt that she really had anymore was Gabe. Gabe, that was perfect. Devon whipped out her phone and failed his number quickly, pressing it to her ear.

Less than twenty minutes passed and he was tapping on her window. Devon smiled an strapped her backpack over her shoulders and opened the window wide, being sure to leave her phone behind. It was just news for a tracking device and to be called. She did not want that. Devon slipped out of the window and closed it, leaving it slightly ajar. Then her and Gabe were gone, unseen like shadows in the night.

"No, Leslie...you must not tell anyone...for their own protection. And if she tells him...it is her own problem, unfortunately." Dad said to Leslie, hoping the other girls would hear, and Hope did so she nodded. Hope, with her newfound magic, found herself feeling cold...colder than a human being should. But it didn't bother her. After all 4 girls, even with one against her will, were infused with their powers, she walked outside and sat on the porch steps alone. She let out a breath, which came out as an icy mist, and rest her elbows on her knees. "I'm gonna get you back, Mom....I promise." She said to herself. A tiny tear escaped her eye and slid down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away. She continued to remain in the safety of the outdoors on the porch.

Twenty minutes had passed before she noticed Gabe pulling in to pick up Devon, and the two of them snuck off. She was instantly remind of what Devon said earlier..."Gabe has a thing for Hope!" She liked him...and she liked Leslie's friend Lake. A love-struck freshman with good intentions...typical. She shook her head to get thoughts. After her sister left with him, she turned her attention back to the yard. Hope glanced around at the empty night sky, moon full and air chilly and thin.

Leslie nodded at her father's warning. She wouldn't ignore his advise even though it seemed unfair that Devon and Abigail could. Those two were always the exceptions to things. A paper was due tomorrow for English, but Leslie couldn't bring herself to care. Her grades had never seemed less important in her life. She hunkered next to the window and peered outside. Leslie overhead Hope swearing to save mom. She ran a hand through her dark hair and silently vowed to bring their mother back too. "Why are those men after us?"

Leslie crossed her arms. "What's it to them if we have magic?" She scowled.

"The Templars were created 3 hundred years ago, when the first real reports of witchcraft were reported here in Kirkton, " Dad explained. "It's founder, Derek Saran, lost his family do praciticers of evil magic. He completely ignored the good magic we Amells have, and set out on a quest to kill all magic-users. Seeing his family dead brought him to rage, and eternal agony that brought together a powerful organization to hunt down all of us...and as of now, we're the only family in the area, as a matter of fact...we're the only family within a 500 mile radius that practices magic here. Your mother and I thought we could fend them off forever...but we were wrong." He said, voice breaking slightly...remember, his wife was just captured.

"So long story short...Templars are an ancient order that are now brought up to kill witches and wizards who will stop at nothing to kill us. Mostly the Templars come from the founder's bloodline, with a few exceptions. So really, I doubt Jace is one of them...the book of illusions always fools someone." He went on.

Hope remained outside, tapping her fingers silently against each other. She sighed to herself. Constantly running scenarios in her mind about how she could have saved Mom...even though she really couldn't have. She also thought of her sisters...Leslie, the one who has questions, but is all for this magic stuff. Abigail, Hope saw as indifferent. She didn't know exactly how Abby felt. And Devon...Hope only prayed that Devon would come around. They were sisters...they've gotta stick together. Now more than ever.

Even though she wasn't suppose to say anything, Devon explained the whole situation to Gabe, mainly because she didn't believe and thought that it was all BS. Though what she didn't expect was for Templars to be nearby to listen in on their conversation. They weren't going to attack, that much was clear they would have done so already if they planned on it. Gave merely rolled his eyes and called BS on it all as she did. So they sat there in the silence, picking through a bag of sunflower seeds that they bought at a convinience store.

The last thing she expected to happen was for Jace to show up, looking lost and sorry. It took a little for his to talk Devon into going to talk alone, but when he did, Devon turned to Gabe and assured him that she would be fine, and if not, he always had her dad's number, plus he could step up for her. With Abby's words completely gone from her mind, she walked not to far with Jace, listening to him go on about how sorry he was and that tonight never should have happened.

"I can't just pretend that all of this didn't happen," Devon said turning down a small alley across from the convince store. "You actually believed that Gabe and I had a thing. How on earth could you believe that? For one second?"

But Jace wasn't there for questioning, or to get Devon back. No he was there for all the reasons that Devon wanted to ignore and not believe. The moment that Jace placed a hand on her shoulder she could feel something was off, this was a completely different vibe she was getting from him.

"It's time you start listening to your older sister, Dev," the way the words slipped off his tongue made shivers run down her back and she knew that going to talk with him was a mistake. "I never knew that you were actually one of the four, and because you're so vulnerable, killing you will be so much easier," he said with a dark chuckle.

Devon was quick to make a move to leave, practically screaming bloody murder so someone would know something was wrong. However the familiar strong hands wrapped around her fighting arms and pulled her back shoving her against the brick wall, covering her mouth to muffle all the cries of help, now being able to see the evil in his eyes made her terrified of what was going to happen praying that Gabe heard her screams and would help in some way.

(Just an FYI, yes, Jace is a Templar, this was planned and there will be more of a story to it later :) )

(Wha bam *high five*)

Abigail slipped our her window when Clay texted her to come meet him. He could tell by her texts she was having a bad day.she put on a cute coat and dressed warm. She slipped down the drain pipe and went for her car. Her ear buds in. She just needed to see Clay.Clay was her rock to the core.

Abigail turned her car on and drove for Clays work. She parked and git out. She saw him and ran to him. Clay picked her up and spun her around.

" you okay Darlin?"He asked as she clung to him.Abigail shook her head No. Clay just held her and sighed. "Come on love I got off early so we could talk."He said and lwad her to her car. She handed hom her keys and got in the passenger seat. She wiped her eye's and held his hand. They talked as they drove, Abigail wouldn't tell him he think she was down right insane. She let him know her sister and her fought again. Her mother had been "abducted" going to grab milk tonight and some one was after her family. Clay listened and sighed. "Love it will be okay I am here for you."He says. He stops spotting Dev and Jace."Hey isn't that your sister. What the hell is going on." Clay says. Abigail turned and squeaks. " omg stop the car babe. Stop."She says. She gets out when he does and walks for Jace and her sister. As she gor closer, she saw his deadly look. She walked over and punched Jace in the face."get the hell away from my sister." She snapped.Even if her sister didn't believe what was going on right now she still new it wasn't good.

Clay grumbled and got of the car." Abigail. " He says and runs for her.

(Do I sense 2 of the sisters battling a Templar with magic in the works? I hope! xD )

Hope decided to go for a walk. She got up from the steps of the front porch and starting walking down the sidewalk. (Not near the Abby and Dev action going on, though.) She folded her arms in the night, not cold, just walking like that. Out of paranoia, she felt eyes watching her...but the Templars were long gone her the area. At least she hoped so. She ended up getting pretty far from the safety of her home by the time she chose to sit on a bench. A puddle on the sidewalk was by her feet. She titled her head. "I wonder..." She thought aloud. She focused on the water and twirled her finger...making the water rise up in a tiny little cyclone, making Hope smile. Magic in the works...beautiful.

Leslie held her phone out, her expression blank as she texted Devon and then Abigail when it seemed like she would never answer. The tension behind her fingers built up as she typed. Mom was gone and, instead of grieving as a family, everyone wondered off leaving Dad in her hands. He sat at the kitchen table in silence. Leslie's father looked faded and his far away expression wasn't lost on her. He didn't seem aware of anything but his thoughts. Leslie pushed past the screen door and stepped outside for a breather. The cool air made Leslie make a face, but her magic answered with a spark of light without her having to call on it.

She noticed Hope in the distance and put her hands in her jean pockets. Leslie wondered what would change now that they had magic. Surely her father wouldn't except them to go to school tomorrow? A ping from her cell made Leslie glance down. Out of spite she didn't check her message immediately. It served her sisters right. Leslie stared into the distance a full minute before she gave into the impulse to look. Except it wasn't Devon or Abigail messaging her.

It was Britney.

And she had apparently just broken up with Lake. Leslie gaped at word bubble after word bubble of exposition. She found it impossible to by sympathetic to Britney when she imagined what Lake must have been feeling. He took break-ups hard. Leslie cancelled out of her text conversation and dialed his number. It seemed like to be a good friend to Lake, she would have to be a bad friend to Britney.

Devon didn't understand her use of magic, or knew she even had it seeing that she had not participated in the earlier events. She had tears formed in her eyes from the realization that Jace was not her Jace anymore. The normal loving look he gave her was wiped off the face of the earth as he held her back against the wall. She head someone coming, and she could feel herself becoming smaller and smaller under his grip. As Jace turned to see who was there he got a nice hit between the eyes, giving Devon her chance to run, and she ran straight to Clay, clinging on to the fabric of his shirt trying to keep back those tears she was so clearly holding. Devon took a glance down to Jace, who was slowly getting of the ground and seemed as if her would kill her sister instead, and under no circumstance was she to let that happen. Devon ran back forward and grabbed Abby close to her, stomping her foot down hard on the ground causing the pavement the crumble and separate directly between them and Jace. Which surprised her, to say the least. But she didn't let any of that show, "stay away from us," she said keeping her voice as tough as she possibly could at the moment.

Clay saw Devon as she ran up and clung to him. He was supprised but held the girl tightly. He let her slip away to grab Abigail. Pulled them both back, he was supprised at what had just happened, but figured it was best not to ask. Clay pulled the girls along."come on go to the car. Both of you, clay had just seen his girlfriend punch a guy square in the face. He was impressed. He got them to head for the car. He saw Gabe and sighed. "Come on, we got to go."He says.

Abigail was stunned. When she hit him. She felt the rage of her and something else. The voices were telling her to kill him. Clay however brought her back to reality. Her hand was throbbing and there was a crack in the ground. She jumped and nods, she went and got in the back seat with her sister." You okay?"She finally asks her sister. Clay got in the driver seat and locked all the doors but, the one for Gabe. He waited on the kid. Once he was in Clay drove off. "Hey you two okay?"He asks. Clay looked back in the rearview mirror concerned.

Irish Ice Queen

Devon watched as Gabe confusedly climbed into the passenger seat of Clay's truck, but she couldn't help but feel too weak and too scared to actually care he got in alright. "I'm sorry," Devon mumbled tucking her head away in her sister's shoulder to hide the hurt in her eyes. She knew she should bury all the hate for her sister that she had and instead of pushing people away, she should accept what they're saying and not be a downer. But this was Devon, that was going to take some time. For right now, sorry was enough.

Abigail just held her sister and nods."I know Dev. "Abigail just held her sister and kissed her head. She pulled her sister close. She nods to Clay. He nods and drives for there house. Clay parked outside and opened the back door fir the girls.Abigail moved with her sister gently. She walked her to the pourch. Clay followed Abigail closely. Abigail just held ger sister prospectively. "I am sorry."She says

Irish Ice Queen

Hope watched her little water cyclone slowly go back inside the puddle it originated from. Hope noticed Leslie in the distance as well, followed by Clay's truck pulling in and her other sisters getting out. She sighed, though seeing Abigail and Dev now close to each, hugging...it made her smile, not thinking about why they're hugging. She scooted back into the bench, her feet now an inch from the ground, her legs swung slightly.

Dad heard a truck pull up, then snapped his fingers and turned the inside of the house back into a normal-looking interior. then he walked outside, and immediately sensing his daughters were troubled. Without question, he hugged them both. "My girls...I love you both...you alright?" He asked then, pulling them both close.

Hope stood from the bench and walked further along the neighborhood until she was totally out of sight. She was so far along, it's be impossible to hear her if she screamed...but why would she? She began wondering what she'd do...about her mom, how she'd save her, how dad would cope, how here sisters were handling this, did she have a chance with Gabe or Lake...but that didn't matter, wasn't important to her at the moment. At least Dad wouldn't likely send his daughters to school tomorrow...it's Friday tomorrow anyway, 3 day weekends are needed at times like this.

She paused. A figure stood in the distance. A tall, dark, intimidating figure. She took a deep breath and slowly turned away, walking in the opposite direction. She was too far away to call for help...she grabbed her phone as she started to walk, just in case. Then there were more figures...2 of them. 3 against one...but were they Templars? Or simple thugs? Didn't matter, she wasn't safe. She sent a quick text to all of her sisters, and Clay since his truck was at the house, Dad didn't know how to text on his older-phone, and she wasn't aware Gabe was there. The text read: "Someone please start walking towards the Miller house...asap." She was in the Millers' direction, so they'd each know where that was. The text didn't send right away...for some reason, it was delaying...did these guys have jammers? She shrieked as one of the men grabbed her, making her drop her phone. She kicked, tried screaming but her covered her mouth.

Uh oh.

Devon was quick to move from Abby to her dad, happy to be under his warm embrace. She misse these times, when she was able to just hug him and he would know that She was upset or in need of a hug without needing to ask or have a reason, he would always just know. That's what made her feel safe, that she had a dad like hers looking over her. Devon kept her eyes closed in hopes it would keep away any tears and prevent further makeup smudging. "Jace is one of them, Daddy," Devon sad; her voice broken and full of sadness.

Abigail backed away. She sighed and turned to Clay. She nods to Gabe and goes to Clays truck. She got in and sighed running a hand through her hair. Clay looked at her."you okay Darlin?"he asks her."yeah I will be lets go."She said and pointed to the direction hope was. Abigail just wanted to get away from this whole night. Clay drove and stopped seeing figures. " you weren't kidding about some one being after you." He says. He pulled over and Abigail got out. She saw her sister hope. Her heart was racing the voices were getting louder. She let out a ear shattering scream. Her face was white her eye's had gone back and her hair was flying in the cyclone of spirits wanting to help. Old witches and many other spirits swirled around her.the man holding her sister dropped to the ground in pain covering his ears. Abigail pointed and the spirits flew attacking the men.Abigail finally dropped to her knees breathing. Her blue eye's back to normal. She shook with fear. "What in the hell."She said. She was afraid to look up. As she did she was staring at 3 skeletons on the ground, her sister and clay. She accidentally made him drop down holding his ears.Abigail wanted to move to him, but couldn't she was exhausted, a spirit had uses her like she was some human skin to be used. She sighed. She would need to figure out how to control them.

Irish Ice Queen

Hope dropped to the ground, her ears throbbing slightly after Abigail's shriek. The men attacking her now formed a skeleton triangle around her. She let out a breath as she slowly stood up, brushing the dirt form the street off of her. She then noticed yet another figure coming in form the shadows, it charged after Abigail and Clay, behind them. Hope's eyes widened. "Get away from them!" She shouted, thrusting her hand forward, as by instinct, and sending a 3 feet long shard of ice at him. The shard then impaled the man attacking her sister and Clay, making the man fall down, the shard in his chest, blood seeping down slightly.

Did I just...make an ice shard and shoot it? She thought to herself. She had just killed a man...in defense of loved ones...but she killed a man. All that mattered was that Abigail and Clay were safe.
(shit, forgot about Dad!)

Dad held Devon tightly in his arms, kissing the top of her head. "It's okay, baby, Daddy's here." He said, like he did when she was little. He rubbed her back to calm her. "I don't want to believe he is...but if he is, then so be it. He won't hurt you, not as long as I, nor your sisters breath." He assured.
