My name's Mae (she/her), and I'm a nineteen-year-old writer living in the EST timezone. I'm looking for some partners for some one-on-ones, and am open to partners who can give anywhere from 150 to 750 words on an average turn. (Too much less, and we don't get anywhere. Too much more, it starts feeling like a chore.) Otherwise, I am a match-what-I'm-given type roleplayer - I'm flexible to post lengths and posting speeds.

I have some bare-bones ideas listed below. A lot of the sci-fi ones here are human/alien, mainly because I'm a sucker for interspecies relationships, and some of the fantasy ones are more medieval - I just don't want to be restricted by trying to make them historically accurate because I am NOT good at that. I don't usually have a character preference, but the ones that I do are bolded. I also have slightly more in-depth ideas for many of these, in case you'd rather start with a stronger base. Personally, I can work either way.

Feel free suggest twists on these ideas or your own original ideas as well! I'll play almost anything!

  1. Average post lengths anywhere between 150 and 750 words.
  2. Post at least once every other week. (I can keep up with daily posts though!)
  3. I prefer FxF and MxM, but will play MxF. Just don't expect my OCs to be straight.
  4. Know what pairing type you want to play. (FxF, MxM, MxF)
  5. Either realistic or anime face claims are fine, but I tend toward realistic.
  6. I tend toward simple character sheets, but if you have preferences, let me know.
  7. I will assume we're working toward eventual romance unless you tell me you don't want to.
  8. Absolutely no smut. I don't care if we do go off-site, I won't do it.
  9. I'm open to RPing over PM, forums, or Discord.
  10. Let me know if there's anything off-limits for you. I can't be mindful of your needs if I don't know what they are.
  11. You can suggest your own plotlines if you want.
  12. You can suggest twists on any of these plotlines if you want.
  13. I don't like planning a whole lot out at the beginning - I'm more of a plan-as-we-go sort.
  14. Let me know if you know you're going to be away for a while, please. I'll do the same.

  16. On that note, if I come off as oddly formal OOC, know that it's just the way I usually talk/write. I'm not being standoffish!

  • A human's escape pod crashlands on an alien planet. They are found by one of the natives. (Can be reversed.)
  • A human working for Area 51 builds a kinship with a captured alien. (Can be reversed.)
  • A stranded human is mistaken by an alien culture as one of their gods.
  • An alien race is planning formal first contact with Earth. They abduct a human to assist with the proceedings.
  • An alien race takes over Earth, and one of their elite is intrigued by a particular human.
  • A group of friends runs a cryptid-hunting web-show. One of them is secretly an alien.
  • First contact has been established between humans and an alien race. The children of the head diplomats take a liking to one another.
  • The only non-human on an exploratory vessel struggles to adapt to their human cabinmate. (Can be reversed.)
  • Humanity is almost obliterated. An alien species offers them a chance to cohabitate on their planet.
  • An alien scientist wishes to study what remains of Earth, but needs a human companion to be permitted. Humans are rare, and they live scattered across the galaxy, but they find one.
  • A human's only memories consist of the ship they are adrift on, their only companions the ship's complement of androids.
  • When doomsday came, some fled to space and some stayed. Centuries later, the descendants of the spacers return.
  • A superhero is roommates with their mortal enemy. Neither of them knows it.
  • Vigilantes are outlawed unless approved. A cop or journalist learns that their long-term friend and roommate is an unregistered superhero.
  • A superhero opens their door one night to find their mortal enemy - long thought dead - close to death on their doorstep.

  • An outcast prays to the gods for a chance to be loved and accepted. They find an injured traveler in the woods.
  • A sacrifice (willing or unwilling) is left for the dragon up in the mountains. The dragon sets them free, but they stay.
  • An undesirable is left to die in the woods, but someone (human or something else) frees them in exchange for their loyalty.
  • A pirate binds a sea god(ess) to their will to inspire fear in their rivals. They eventually grow to like one another.
  • A reimagining of Beauty and the Beast where the Beast's "ghastly" appearance is a product of something natural, not a curse.
  • A prince(ss) tries to make a servant fall in love with them, but doesn't expect to fall for them in return.
  • Normal forbidden love between a prince(ss) and a servant.
  • A peasant has been seeing a prince(ss) without knowing who they are. Imagine their surprise when they ask for their hand.
  • An incompetent prince(ss) takes over after their parent's death. Their personal servant plays damage control.
  • An angel takes pity on a demon about to be condemned and attempts to reform them.
  • A cheerful human inserts themself into the life of a world-weary immortal.
  • A god(dess) accidentally makes their lover immortal. The other gods aren't happy.

  • An actor goes back to college after a tragic mishap. One of their peers is asked to help them adapt.
  • A bride flees her wedding and gets dragged into a life of crime by a charismatic criminal. (FxF only!!!)
  • A man's wife and mistress team up to get revenge on him. (FxF only!!!)
  • Modern Royalty where a bored prince(ss) goes out in disguise and befriends a commoner.
