The world has gone mad.

No one is sure how it happened, but at some point in the midst of the 21st century, insanity took the forefront. People began to vanish left and right, while strange creatures began to appear. At first the internet was filled with footage showing police and military units engaging strange creatures. But as time went on the hopeless nature of what was occurring began to be apparent. The disappearances never slowed down, the creatures that appeared were never the same, some of them were not even able to be stopped no matter how hard we tried. What was just a point of interest to some slowly grew into an inevitable end.

Society seemed aware of this, as things tilted civilization began to unravel. Looters and Prepers began to empty shelves, martial law was declared, and militaries began to mobilize. That was when the Giant beings began to creep into our world.

Huge abominations that even military hardware couldn’t contend with began to fill the worlds oceans and skies. This was about the time that humanity began to lose hope. Rather than fight people began constructing bunkers and fortresses. Nations crumbled and collapsed and almost everyone agreed that the world was doomed. This is where you come in. Just before the collapse of nations Billionaires began to hide in their mountain bunkers. But one in particular had a different plan in mind. He was not content with just waiting this insanity out and hoping it would reverse itself.

He wanted to fight back. So he opened his Own fortress to Seven families. The eccentric man claimed he would he the worlds next king, and each of these families would be his seven noble houses. However, they would have to submit one of their children to experimentation. With the hopes of creating a series of superhuman families capable of keeping the insanity at bay, and hopefully…eventually destroy it.

That was 70 years ago. Your Grandparents were the ones who made that agreement, and your parent was the unfortunate one who was put through the rigorous experimentation…it was somewhat successful, they were granted abilities, but at the cost of their health. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective, their abilities were passed on to you, without any of those pesky drawbacks or physiological health problems. The billionaire who made this deal however seems to have somehow had a son, and his son likewise had a son of his own. This grandson of the billionaire, named Rueben Tuluche the Third, has been the leader of this bunker for the past 10 years, and he has officially decided, after consulting the seven family leaders that the time to open the bunker is now. The bunker has been designated the capital of a new nation, and the seven families were given a task. Journey outwards and find the new borders of their nation. Reclaim what can be reclaimed, destroy what cannot be reclaimed, purge the ofherworldly, and cultivate the world. Find survivors and make them your people. However this call to rebuild and reclaim the world is not going to be without challenge. After all the beings that forced humanity to hide in holes of steel and concrete may well still exist. Nonetheless the world is your oyster, and a man with the resources to build super-humans has your back. What will you build?

(Let me know if you have any questions. Ill be making a pretty bare bones lore tab, and a cs page here in a little bit.)

I just added a poll to determine how i will do the power system in this RP. Your votes will help me to decide. But feel free to make suggestions as you see fit.

Neat premise ouo

I'm interested in this.

Thank you all for your interest.

Would any of you like to contribute to the list of abilities? I have come to the conclusion that pre making the powers, while leaving the families up to the players would give me more of a stable starting point. Prevents us from having a lopsided power scale within the group itself. That said i am still open to power suggestions if you have.

I think invisibility or being able to change the texture of your skin would be a useful ability to have.

Like the mimic octopus, one of my top 3 favorite animals. That could certainly be on the list and would absolutely be helpful.
Shapeshifting would be nice, don't know how op it would be though
Hmm, im sure we could find a way to make it work. Turning into other people in this setting would be practically useless…but if we could slap a limiter on it like having to mimic partial forms from the creatures we see ie spawning a scythe arm blade, long claws, tendrils, spike launchers, Fire breath sacs. Basically like copying monster powers but with a limiting factor of size. Think Alex Mercer.

Alright so far here are my ideas. Including the input ive had so far.
<~~~>
1. The Mimic- able to duplicate the natural abilities of monsters they encounter and store the Dna for future use. Can start with One monster Ability. (You pick something like claws, fire breath, etc.)

2. The Ghost- Able to Shift the color and texture of skin to blend in with surroundings. Scent glands are also modified to produce an odor neutralizing chemical.

3. The Warrior- Physical augmentations to muscle and bone cells result in heightened strength and durability. Reflexes and perception are also enhanced making for a well rounder combat oriented superhuman.

4. The Generator- Every cell in the subjects body is granted two additional organelles. One which generates an electric charge, and another that stores it. While its meant to be able to temporarily power things like doors and buildings. It can also be used to deliver deadly tactile electric attacks, or even a ranged bolt.

5. The Scout- Modifications to skeletal structure accommodate the growth of wings, extra visual capacity and limited echolocation capacity makes for a living Aerial recon drone.

6. The Eternal- Rapid regeneration and a dulled sense of pain allow for an unrelenting and fearless explorer. Heavy resistance to radiation, poisons, toxins, and other foreign substances introduced to the subjects system make them experts at traversing hazardous territory.

7. The Adept - Able to sense the Chaotic energies associated with the monstrous beings. Believed to be able to manipulate these energies in odd ways (can mind control lesser monsters.)

Your welcome to come up with additional uses or negotiate changes on the powers but so far this will be the list. Thoughts?

I’d go for the warrior or maybe the eternal.

It depends on if character power growth is allowed or if the only one who’s power can change over time is the mimic.

Honestly I would’ve preferred the mimic but somebody pretty much already claimed that.

Considering this is a combat game id like to take some things into
Consideration:

1. Mimic will be progressing a lot faster than any other of the classes Since we’ll be fighting a lot of monsters with many different abilities.

2. It’d probably work better if the ghost was able to do something like the invisible girl from mha or the user of Metallica from Jojo, and warp light around their body to create true invisibility, but maybe that could be a later application.

3. The warrior is pretty well rounded. So there’s not much their, perhaps they should just have more evolved human abilities in general (ie; higher intelligence, greater lung capacity, enhanced coordination, higher stamina etc.) some of their abilities might overlap with the eternal, but I think they wouldn’t be as intense. The eternal would probably have limitless stamina And extremely fast regen, as opposed to simply superhuman levels of it.

4. The generator could be a very useful teammember. No problems here.

5. The adept reminds me a lot of the special talent from the book “starship troopers” was this intentional?

1. I was going to balance this by having gear for the team and a progressive growth to most powers and abilities of the players.

2. I was contemplating something akin to that myself, there will still be a few things that can perceive them regardless but those are few and far between.

3. That is most certainly a possibility. They were designed to take what a person can do and dial it up rather than give a person a new category.

4. Thanks. Their progression path is also very straightforward.

5.i have actually never seen Starship troopers. I just figured as the power develops and medium sized monsters become susceptible we could get mounts to cross land air and sea as needed so it seemed legit. They will also have some other hidden ability but it will be up to them if its something they have shared with the crew.
<~~~>

When/if you figure out which of the two you want let me know and ill stake your claim in the soon to be done lore tab.

I’m invested in the warrior.

Edit: I can even draw symbols for each class of you want.

Oh, I haven't claimed anything. I personally would want either Ghost or Generator

also it’ll challenge my writing ability, since I nearly always play the “adaptor/copycat” character.

So basically the warrior is sort of a slightly enhanced composite peak human, right? I’m just trying to see what all you’re going for.

Indeed. A kinda captain America with decent potential for growth. their starting point would be around 3-5x base human in any and all categories.
