Mad Max: He Who Grabs The Sun

MattS

The world is a testing ground for human ingenuity
<p>

I'm kinda sad there wasn't any Mad Max nation rps, so I'm going to change that For starters, I'm going to combine the worlds of Mad Max: The Game and Mad Max: Fury Road. These are their maps Fury Road: <img alt="tumblr_nyxcowWxPS1ug4z8lo1_1280.png" class="ipsImage" height="410" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http://67.media.tumblr.com/7c8a0c77e05d312fe1d19987cd4cac5c/tumblr_nyxcowWxPS1ug4z8lo1_1280.png&key=88e3b800a4a5a9dccfb3b3dbbc2d1ee5af433f22498c2c57e0785a6876052177" width="1000" /></p>

The Game:

<p>

The Dump holds Gastown. Each character will:

</p>

<p>

Have their own personal weapon (no chainsaw on a stick 'cept whomever plays Scrotus)

</p>

<p>

Have their own car and lancer(weapon handler that is usually on the back of the car.) The Interceptor is off limits as is The Land Mover(once again, except for whomever plays Scrotus.) The Land Mover has no lancer, but it does have a driver, and scrotus does not drive it himself.

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

choose their faction alliance: Roadkill, Buzzards, Scrotus & his War Boys, against all of them, or neutral.

</p>

<p>

</p>

"An idea that could take place in the Fury Road region is a mobile city trucking through the wasteland. It's built on trains that have been heavily modified for off-rails travel and are taller and wider than a normal train to fit people and services inside. The trains are surrounded by trucks, gas filled diesels etc because trains aren't the most agile form of locomotion. The leader is a woman from somewhere across the ocean. She's generally benevolent but will throw the full force of her mobile army upon her enemies((aka probably anyone who attacks the trains)). They pick up stragglers along the way and the caravan of trains will stop for days or weeks at a time to resupply(probably would make the mistake of stopping anywhere near The Citade)l. When they stop, the trains form a protective circle around the encampment that springs up in the middle. There's no deep dark secret to the moving town" -Zanarkand

what do you mean that the storyline will be split into two parts? Are you wanting to follow the game and the movie's storylines? I already told you that i've never played the game so idk how that's gonna work out if i'm Max

There are going to be certain parts that will be changed in the first part, but I will help guide you through that parts that are canon to the game

why would we play through the stuff that happens canonly at all? couldn't max be in a situation totally unrelated to the canon of the game or the movies? like how in all 4 movies he's in a different situation totally unrelated to any previous movie?

i'm just not understanding why we'd follow the plot of something that's already been created

Fair points. Do you have any suggestions for a completely new plot? I can have my character either be the kind of character we discussed in convo(abandoned war boy out for vengeance) or an extremely ruthless antagonist

after thinking about it for a while, yeah it would be.

x.x sorry I haven't replied!!

I'm not sure what a clean plot would be because I don't want to just copy the idea that me and my sister have because we're gonna start our own mad max rp. I basically don't want to play the same thing twice. But also our idea is nowhere near where Fury Road takes place.

The idea that we had was a town built on top of a spring. The town is shaped like a large tiered pyramid with a large living tree on top and water cascading down in channels that end at the bottom of the walled city.

The leader is a man named Enoch but he's just called the Water Baron. People travel from far and wide to come to the town named Oasis. The Baron sells the water through trade (you can trade anything from guns to humans) But the dark secret is that many people are enslaved to work in the contaminated sewers and ever flooded mines. Also the water may be polluted with radiation. And the Baron never does anything out of the kindness of his heart, everything has a price. You can buy your way into the city by basically enslaving yourself and possibly get a "good job" as a soldier that protects the city but most people don't cut it and end up as just laborers.

The town isn't in direct competition with the Citadel because it's just too far away and I think that would be the issue because you wanted to do something related to fury road. It was actually meant to be closer to Barter Town from the Thunderdome movie than anything else.

It doesn't necessarily have to be like fury road, it's just taking place in thag region. Also, the water baron sounds strangely familiar

Hey, you can't say there wouldn't be other people with water!! (':3)Also it was far away from the Citadel in a different region. Water would definitely have a way of creating opportunistic evil leaders btw.
Question, could we form a new alliance that people could, potentially join?
Of course. It's more than likely alliances/factions will be made in this rp

Hello! I am a huge Mad Max fan, and would love to join in. I like the idea of the train town, but I am wondering how it would fit in with the Citadel/Fury Road idea. Would there be a giant fight between the two?

The plot itself won't really include what happens during the fury road. However, it takes place in that region, which could lead to territorial disputes with whomever want to control the war boys faction
