A Police Officer, the Sheriff, to be exact.


Personality:


Naval, due to his police officer job, is serious almost all the time. Almost. When he has a day-off, he blends in with the civilians, pretending to be a "normal" person and sometimes going to Steambucks, a Steampunk version of Starbucks. He jokes around, and hangs out with his other police friends who have their days-off as well. And if his inner kid comes out, he goes to Steam Zone (Time Zone). Even if there are a lot more arcades in his city, he prefers that because it's open 24/7. Naval is like a cowboy police officer because he twirls his gun around and has a slight cowboy accent. Of course, he doesn't have a hat but he does have a badge... somewhere in his wallet. He's well known in his city so he needs to be cautious of his reputation. "No need to worry about mah reputation? You crazy?!"


Biography:


When Naval was young, he used to use his fingers as guns. He would "shoot" people passing by here and there, pretending they were robbers. His father told him that he would be a policeman one day, and he believed it. Naval would pretend the sofas were canyons and he would jump on them. He would try to balance himself but would always end up sitting on the floor. He would play with his father "Catch the Bad Guy", with his father being the "bad guy". If Naval catches his dad, he would jump on his back while holding "invisible" handcuffs. Sometimes, he forgets he needs to use handcuffs so he uses a ribbon instead and ties up his father, like a Christmas present. A couple of years passed and guess what? He was a police officer. How? It's a long story. He spent his life putting bad guys in jail, and stuff like that, until one day... He met a guy with a knife. He chased him until he couldn't see him anymore. Turns out, the man was above him and he jumped on him. What happened, you ask? Eh... Let's just say he got his eye replaced with a cool-looking... thing.

Description of Fighting style: In the darkness and attacks swiftly and effectively without notice. Usually from high ground, or away from the target to ward off suspicion.


Or close to the target, but quickly enough in the shadows to escape faster.


Backstory/Background: Emilia's Family were the Lord's right hand family, her father the Lord's advisor. Emilia never knew her mother because she died giving birth to her, but for the sake of Emilia her father did everything he could to give her a better, great future. Although, the Lord disagreed with her father's advice, and the danger of the Robots and their AI systems overriding to kill their Inventors brought the kingdom devistation and created the large gap between rich and poor. Emilia's father grew suspicious of these choices the Lord was making, and the circumstances they were in. He resigned his position, after lecturing the Lord about the way things were, and how they've changed for the worst. But before her father could do anything about it, he was killed by his own robot he invented, ridding her of all family owned wealth because she wasn't of age, and she was a girl. From then on she vowed to restore her family's pride and self worth, doing anything to do so.


Along the way, she met her father's best friend as a child, Ian Victor, who took her in and offered to help her with her mind, body and spirit.

Name: Tasha "Zack" Meridola

Job: Tasha works at a large mechanic's shop at the corner of the most popular street in town. She mostly acts as an apprentice, which includes cleaning, mopping, dusting, all of that boring house cleaning stuff. She occasionally suggests ideas of her own, and one time even got a toy that she made to be put on display.


Personality: Tasha is a naturally curious, stubborn and sensitive person. She always gets in trouble in the shop because she is off exploring somewhere or chatting with customers about things that are NOT about the store. With little time to make any friends, she only has a few, most of which are always struggling to support her family. Tasha is energetic, snarky and smart, and constantly looking for a new challenge. She enjoys work more than she does being at home, seeing as when she goes home in the wee hours of the morning, her mom is always complaining about one thing or another, the kids aren't in bed, etc. Tasha is energetic, helpful and kind at the shop, but sarcastic, mopey and emo at home.


Bio: Tasha was born in a small house on the countryside. Her parents were jolly, wealthy and kind. They pampered her and kept her happy, no matter what happened to her. Her father was an inventor, and was constantly in the basement, making things. She would often come down and gaze at him, eyes glittering and observant.


That is of course, until they died.


One night she was lying in bed, contently staring at the stars through the window, when she saw a figure outside, walking across the yard. Curiously, she sat up, only to see the figure collapse, and not get up. She quickly forgot about it and went to sleep again.


The next morning when she woke up, her dee brother took her bye the hands and helped her pack a few things, and then they marched out the door, Tasha exTREMELY confused. When they passed by true figure, it was obvious that it was their mother.


Her brother dropped her off at a family friend's house, saying that he would 'only be a minute'. 9 years later and he has still not come back. Tasha believes that he is dead or ditched her.


Weapons: Tasha often buys things from the shop, such as an old fashion sword, a small handheld gun, and a mechanical crossbow. She is profisiant with all three, and is currently making another weapon.


Inventions: Tasha has invented many thins in her spare time: a toy that had wings and could fly, an extendable arrow(although she has no idea why she would ever use it), and many more things. The toy was her newest creation, and it inspired her to make a set of wings that could fit on a human and actually work. She is still working on that project with little success. In her even more spare time, she is creating gauntlets that have guns implanted in them, so she can go hand to hand with guns.


Other:


I thought it would be cool to do what October did, so here we go! (No, I am not copying you, merely admiring!)


Likes: mechanics, fun people, smart people, not sure if she likes flirting or not, exploring, black, blue, red, inventions of hers that work.


Dislikes: bad friends, boring people, getting stuck in spots because they were waaaaay too small for her to fit in, cleaning, listening to her stepmom complain, waiting on people.


More on appearance: she has dark red hair and striking green eyes and a dark tan. She is about 5'6" and very slim and agile.


She basically does a street fighting style of martial arts that is a little more presise. But she still uses all the dirty things she can can, such as scratching, pulling hair, etc.


She carries around a small backpack that holds all of her inventions and scraps.

Job: Doctor and entrepreneur selling top quality goods of all kinds and miracle cures for what ails you, all at very low prices and each with a satisfaction guaranteed. All brought straight to your town and village for your convenience in personally designed steam carriage for maximum speed and security. Also works with local law enforcement and others with the removal of troubles.


Personality: A appears as a gentleman in most respects, maintaining a proper calm, friendly and jovial demeanor in most situation even when things are dark. In truth he is a practiced manipulator, as necessary for his job with little quilt when depriving people of their hard owned cash with shoddy goods. Neither he does he so any difficulty harming or killing people, maintaining his gentleman demeanor through at all giving him an air of sadism and psychopathy. However his not all bad, he can show care and loyalty to people that becomes close though really happens, proffering to keep his distant to people. After all he does cheat most people so doesn't pay to stick around unless cash is involved.


Biography: Raised in a respected middle class family, Vincent the only son of doctor father it was set to him to take over the practice whether he liked to or not. Once old enough he was set off to study medicine, taking it up for only three years before deciding he had enough and struck out on his own. Living by himself was difficult setting up an illegal practice for a short while before it was found out having to go on the run again, By that point he resorted to steal to make ends meet eventually coming in contact with a pedlar in the city Rardon who, unbeknownst to Vincent attempting to steal from her, doubled as a bounty hunter. A merry chase later, the pedlar had Vincent cornered and prepared to kill him. However, the pedlar was impressed by vincent who attempted to talk away his crime even going as far to flirt her, and took him as an apprentice and eventually a lover teaching him both her trades. However, the pedlar was eventually killed by a disgruntled customer with the use of a modified robot with Vincent coming to late to help but soon enough to see the damage done. After dispensing with the robot, Vincent took over the pedlar business taking it on the road and in the spare time searching for the disgruntled customer.

{Physical Description}: She's a young woman of strong build, her body firmly packed with muscle and fat, giving her a slightly carved and curved body. Brooke's face is pleasant with two, pink-colored scars on the side of her skull. Green eyes survey anyone she passes, their large size lending her a certain quality that people could not help but notice, whether good or bad. She has curly auburn hair that falls down over her shoulders.


When not travelling, Brooke prefers to dress in gowns such as her
grey mermaid gown,copper antoinette gown, or her blue ball gown.


When she is travelling, she is more comfortable in short skirted adventuring clothes such as her
brown skirted bustier, or her black skirted-bustier.


{Personality}: Although Brooke is in a serious field of business, she enjoys to joke around and have fun immensely. She tries her best to keep a smile on her face, despite the fact that her bipolar disorder keeps her moods constantly changing. She prefers to use her tongue over her fists in her fights, her mother trying hard to raise her as a lady. Brooke's boiling point is very high, but when reached, she forgets her mother's teachings and becomes very violent and physical, and it is very hard to calm her down. Despite her strong demeanor, Brooke is too trusting of other's and is usually to eager to see the good in others. She's also desperate to find love, but she keeps that want to herself as not to frighten away any gentleman who wish to just be friends. However, it does tend to make her a slight flirt and she hopes others mistake it for friendliness. Her loyalty runs very deep for those she loves and despises any who betray her, break her heart, hurt those she loves, etc.


{History}:Brooke was the middle born child in the Barushka family in the city of Gremlin, her father a tall, sturdy Slav, and her mother a round plump learned scholar. She has two brothers, younger and older, and has learned to take a punch here and there. She excelled through school, and an old Asian nuclear engineer took her under his wing when he saw her inventions in her last years of tutorship. With her new master, Fang Shuo Tian, she moved to Corkner, to the open fields and large Fang Nuclear Industries Compound. As Fang has grown old, and with the rise of Iron Lover, the old engineer has asked his young apprentice to go in his stead to fight off the evil that is affecting their company.


{Weapons}:Brooke owns three weapons:

  • Tian Tian Plasma Rifle- Brooke's first task at Fang Industries was to reinvent their old plasma rifle idea, and Brooke took to it whole-heartedly and created the Tian Tian rifle. It is a high-powered rifle that emits plasma capsules instead of bullets, and has a chance of disintegrating it's target if shot near the spinal cord.
  • Vertical Ascension Device- This gun was the first manufactured weapon that Brooke's mentor, Fang Shuo Tian, ever produced, and as a gift has given it to her on her journeys. When fired it releases a hook attached to a high carbon-fiber count rope that can either pull the user towards the hook, or pull enemies towards the user. Useful for climbing.
  • The Secret Dualing Pistol-Once Brooke had finally grown into a young woman, her father gave her a parting gift in order to protect herself. It is a medium-sized dagger that is made to look like a dualing pistol. Brooke always carries it with her, either on her hip or under her skirts.


{Inventions}: Due to her hometown of Gremlin being a water bound city, Brooke's want for a horse was never realized, as their was no place to board one. Because of her great love for horses, Brooke used her natural talent for nuclear engineering and constructed her own mechanical horse, named Equuis who can fully interact with her and is rideable. It was this invention that lead Shuo Tian to take Brooke on as his apprentice. Equuis runs off of a small core reactor about the size of a grapefruit, and his metal exterior has been screened incase of a leak, steam from his reactor occasionally released through his nostrils.

Job: doesn't really have one, but scrapes by.


Personality: Georgia loves fire. Ever since she was a child, it fascinated her. That, and weapons. She learned to shoot a toy gun at the age of five, and (while her father was still sober) she would shoot tin cans in alleyways when he would go to Darkstone to work.


Biography: Georgia, or "George" grew up in a messed up home. Her mom left them, and her dad was a drunk. Upon reaching the age of sixteen, she ran away. After this, she realized that she knew nothing about what life was like on your own. She resolved to stealing parts of machines, and creating weapons out of them.


Weapon(s): Her favorite gun, and her fire grenades.


Invention(s): Fire Grenades (Small balls that when thrown release fire that can span several hundred feet.)

Name: Richard "Smokeshot" Dublin

City: Procule, but he's often traveling.


Job: Vigilante/Weapons Developer


Personality: Richard is extremely serious and prefers to stick to business. If he doesn't want business, he's often not around people and tinkering with his armgun.


Biography: When Richard was young, his father, a diplomat or lawyer or something, (Richard never found out) was shot in their hometown, Procule, by a man who called himself Smokeshot. Assuming that he had died, Richard and his mother (a prosthesis specialist) mourned for years. Later, Richard learned how to use a gun and prepared to defend himself, his mother and his sister. Unfortunately, when the mad vigilante Smokeshot actually attacked, Richard's sister and mother were dropped into the exhaust system of one of the factories, and Richard lost an arm trying to escape the same fate. In his rage, Richard rampaged, turning his prosthetic arms into weapons, and equipping a mask. Later, after a ruckus in which he killed Smokeshot, Richard took the name for himself and tried to be a hero of sort during the virus incident. He failed.


Weapon(s): Armgun His prosthetic arms have a double-barreled shotgun attached to the back of their hands. Depending on what Smokeshot loads, it can be Plain Old Bullets, Incendiary Bullets, Explosive Bullets, Smoke Pellets, Tear Gas Pellets, Sonic Stun Bullets, (they create a sonic disturbance upon contact) and finally Grappler Hooks. That last one should be straightforward.


Smokeshot Mask Modified smoke mask. Blocks out smoke, tear gas, and roughly soundproof. There's also a fresh air tank for all the pollution in Procule.


Magnet Tracker He latches a special kind of magnet on you. That magnetic attraction will pull the hypersensitive needle of his compass-like tracker and find out which direction


Invention(s): All of his weapons, and he's still working on them.


Others: Likes guns, violence, and being alone. Doesn't like jokes, laughing, getting cheated.

Floats around. His job requires him to travel anyway, but spent mostly all childhood in Rardon.



Job:


He works for the military. A pyrotechnics inventor, he created big flame bombs and his speciality is making anything to do with fire. He can make almost
anything explode, even if it's, like, pyjamas.


Personality:


"Let me tell you the time I almost blew up Rardon..."


A loud, explosive (pun intended) man who enjoys to blow up (think you noticed this already) things. His personality is much like his job, fiery, hot and quite dangerous. He's a child, and is not afraid to throw tantrums, but he can be an adult when he chooses to. Especially if the time is correct.



Biography:


His childhood was a fun one, his mother and father were caring but accepting and he would always show them new ways on making bombs or hand grenades. His dad worked for the military, as well, actually, and Chris enjoyed tagging along with him and venturing down to the labs where the most of the bomb and gun testing was done. (This was illegal, though, and he often got in trouble for sneaking down there.) When he was about 14 he had the opportunity to
legally head down to the labs and actually try to make some bombs.


They found that he excelled. He was a prodigy with fire, they called him. Chris couldn't lie, he liked the attention, and when he was put in the military, he was overjoyed. He was given the codename Pyro and worked at the steaming hot labs whenever he could, but he was mostly used, for example, blowing up cities. He had once blown up his own lab, but that was another story.



He has grown accustom to the heat and eplosions nor fire scare him in the least (as him to light a match, and he will burn down your house). His hearing disappeared a long time ago, so he uses hearing aids (he prefers to disguise them with headphones). He can hear perfectly fine, it's just that sometimes it falters.



Weapon(s):


"And did you know - if you stick the spring from a clothespin right under the safety when it's in left-hand mode, then pull the trigger, it'll explode about 2.9 seconds later? I mean, throw it first."


His handy two-barrelled gun/flame thrower, his own creation, handy when lots of enemies around.



Of course, flame-bombs. Despite him in the labs, he knows how to use these with great precision and can throw perfectly (this is from years of practice, it's not a natural skill).



And a knife. A sleek, steampunk-styled knife. Nothing special.



Invention(s):


He contributes to most of the bombs and flame guns in the military. He can also create standard, special and heavy guns if he chooses.



He created goggles that never fog and can see through fire and the dark. They work in both night and day, so they're pretty handy.



Also, he can make anything explode, but that's already stated.

Gender: Female. Doesn't really present as such, and gets mistaken for a guy a lot.


City: Born in Gravenhague, but moved around a bunch.


Job: One of the youngest recruits in the police force, but builds automatons in her spare time.


Personality: Mei mostly keeps to herself, staying in the shadows. Not as good at actually talking to people than she is at catching them. Very stubborn, and in some cases reckless or impulsive, but somehow hasn't gotten herself killed yet.


Extremely loyal when she trusts someone, and is very shy around lots of people, especially if the focus is on her. Mei is the kind of person to completely bury herself in her work, none of this half working/lazing about business.


Biography: Grew up as an orphan, adapting to know the streets of Gravenhague by heart. Being a street rat, she quickly learned how to pick-pocket, pick locks, and pick her friends, always conscious of who she trusted.


After what felt like half a lifetime of getting chased, caught, and beaten up by the local police, she tried getting an actual job. Getting one as an apprentice to a maker of automatons, she became slightly obsessed with them, spending hours fiddling with gears and metal.


After about a year of working with him, a thief broke into the shop, stealing an extremely valuable part, and her master was killed trying to get it back. She took over his shop, and went into the police force, hoping she may one day find the stolen part.


Weapon(s): Simple gun, nothing flashy. Prefers hand to hand or the knife she keeps strapped to her hip at all times. Carries a few self made gadgets with her, but doesn't trust them enough yet so barely uses them. Will use anything she can get her hands on, and proceed to hit people with it.


Invention(s): Various automatons, the occasional gadget. Has made her own version of a smoke bomb, but filled with confetti and sparkles (Nothing like being covered in sparkles to stun a thief), and is developing a voice box for one of her automatons.

Job: Inventory, although he prefers the term "Tinkerer" for some unknown reason. The "Tink'd" comes from the fact that he found "Tinkerer" often interrupted the flow of conversations.


Personality: For the most part, Carstro likes to be alone in his small, cramped living space/workshop. He has no understanding of the word "order", and due to living in a small apartment, often has to double-up on room purposes. Namely, his living room, complete with a couch and table, also has a small, rather cramped workshop in one corner. He spends much more time in the workshop than the actual living room, and only leaves his house when needing either food or more materials or tools to work with. Carstro can sometimes be rather blunt in his approach towards sensitive topics, although this is when he is particularly tired or exhausted (most likely from lack of sleep). Even though he can be blunt he is more often than not very clever about his wording when approaching a sensitive or delicate topic. Also has somewhat of a sense of humor too, and tends to not give up easily.


Biography: Carstro lived a fairly pleasant life until he was sixteen, when an argument with his parents prompted him to leave the city of Mason where he had lived his whole life up to that point. Prior to leaving Carstro had lived a nice life, attending the best schools his parents could send him to on the money that their jobs produced. Due to it not being much, Carstro had to work hard on his schooling, as it was the only thing to keep him entertained for the most part.


Upon leaving Mason, Carstro traveled directly to Rardon where he worked for for two years, scraping money in to rent an apartment. Once he could pay for the apartment easily, he started to tinker around with bits of scrap that his work produced, and consequently made a few rather useful things that he sold the designs for to earn a decent amount of money. With this, he stopped working for his old job and has taken up "inventing" things.


Weapon(s): Not being one for combat as such, Carstro has only one weapon in the form of a singular gauntlet on his hand. The gauntlet is actually something that Carstro was working on. It was originally intended to be able to manipulate objects in a way similar to telekinesis, however it only works on occasion, and when it does the results are unpredictable. The gauntlet is made with a leather glove that has had various parts covered in metal. As a result it does do quite the bit of damage to person or object that is hit with it. The telekinesis part only really works now in a manner of "shoving" objects, punting them along the floor or tossing them through the air. It all varies.


Invention(s):
The main ideas that Carstro received money for a fairly mundane and boring, and I wouldn't want to waste your time discussing them. In addition to the gauntlet (there isn't a second-only one. A second was to be made if the first worked well. Which it didn't), Carstro has also worked on a pair of boots that are based off the Seven League Boots. The basic concept for Carstro's boots was for the wearer to be able to click the heels of the boots on the ground twice and then be able to walk and leap great distances. This, much like the overly ambitious gauntlet idea, does not work as intended, often causing Carstro to not go in the direction he wants and more often than not into a wall. Also much like the gloves the boots are very fickle in how they want to work, and more often than not don't. The ratio would be about 1:5, with the one being how the times a wall is contacted when using the boots, and five being for when they actually work. The boots are an old pair of scuffed leather ones, with a small tweaks made here and there, with wires running over them and a set of feathers for aesthetic appeal on each boot.


Others: Likes: Not being restricted, having space to think, eating, being alone, the occasional sip of wine.


Dislikes: Being told repeatedly what to do, being spoken to in a condescending manner, not having things work right, frustration, lack of sleep, lack of sleep induced by frustration.
