It’s the zombie apocalypse, and Character A has made a home for themself. In the middle of nowhere, protected by a fence that Character A patrols daily, they haven’t had a real zombie emergency in months. Coming home from a supplies run/routine fence inspection/harvesting the vegetable garden/etc., Character A walks into their kitchen to find Character B, a ragged looking human that’s stuffing their face with Character A’s food.
-
While camping out in a convenience store, Character A watches as a frightened Character B bangs on the glass, trying to make it past the blockade that Character A put in front of the door. Character A can just barely tell what Character B is saying: “Help! Let me in! They’re coming!”
-
Character A is someone good at surviving in unsustainable situations with botany and science while Character B is someone good at surviving through fighting and taking from others when needed, and the two band together to survive the apocalypse.
-
It’s the zombie apocalypse, and Character A has found a fort to live in. However, one of the members in Character A’s group hates them, and one night they blind Character A by pouring rubbing alcohol into A’s eyes. At first, only the one who blinded them was kicked out, but eventually A was abandoned as well.

When Character A’s parents go out of town for a week and leave them at home alone, Character A doesn’t expect anything interesting to happen. They’re a very responsible teenager, after all.
But when Character B, Character A’s rebellious best friend, ropes them into going to an event halfway across the country, Character A must deal with the feelings of guilt and liberation of finally going against their parents.
-
For all of their life, Character A has been home schooled so that their parent(s) could make sure that Character A was getting a good, religion approved education. Now attending the college of their dreams, Character A is sure that everything is going the way that their god wants…except for Character B, their punk aesthetic roommate who is constantly doing everything that goes against Character A’s religion.
-
Character A is on the run from a past that they can’t leave behind, and Character B is a hitchhiker that’s working their way to an unknown destination. When Character A offers Character B a ride, the two of them end up opening up to the other while they pass through town after town.
-
A is taking the bus home after a long day. It’s dark out and A is tired, and thinks they can sneak in a few minutes of sleep on the empty bus – that is, until A notices a young kid. Seeing that the kid looks upset, A asks if they’re okay, but he kid tells them that their older sibling was supposed to pick them up but never showed. A offers to walk the kid home, preparing a few choice scolding remarks that melt away as A sees B, who has a reason for not being there that makes it hard for A to criticize.
-
Muse A has been a resident of the local psychiatric hospital since their youth. Because of the nature of their disorder, they keep primarily to themselves and don’t go out of the way to meet people. Other patients aren’t necessarily scared of them, but it’s common knowledge that Muse A is not to be bothered and people generally comply.
Muse B is a newly admitted patient to the same hospital. They’re loud, aggressive, and in the short amount of time they’ve been there, have managed to get on almost everybody’s nerves at least once.
Muse A, by habit, goes out of their way to avoid Muse B, but Muse B is fascinated by them and how they’re viewed by the other patients. They make it their personal mission to get as close as they possibly can to Muse A, to the point that the staff takes notice and has to threaten Muse B with a stint in solitary confinement.
One day Muse B manages to steal a key card and ambushes Muse A in a hallway. Once the two are alone, Muse B is finally able to get answers from Muse A.
-
Muse A finally cashed in their adventure fund for the road trip they’ve been dying to take. After a few hours of cruising, they stop at the last gas station for several miles. As they’re heading to the register to pay for the fuel and snacks, they realize that they forgot the pump number and head to the glass door to peek outside. To Muse A’s shock, someone is stealing their car. Muse A runs out of the convenience store, but it’s too late to stop the thief from getting away. Muse A calls the police to make a report, but the nearest station is 3 hours away; there’s no telling how long it will take for an officer to arrive. Muse B, a truck driver, overhears Muse A’s story and kindly offers to give them a lift. Muse A isn’t sure about accepting a ride from a stranger, but Muse B seems nice and they really don’t want to hang around the gas station till nightfall.
-
Muse A and Muse B are best friends on a road trip for several weeks. The pair are faithfully following their favorite band on an 8 city tour culminating in an epic music festival at the end of the summer. Muse A, exhausted from a long leg of night driving takes a nap once Muse B gets behind the wheel. Unfortunately, out of the two, Muse A is the better navigator. Even with GPS, Muse B manages to miss a crucial exit. Rather than confess their mistake to Muse A right away, Muse B keeps driving, hoping the GPS will lead them back to the right path soon enough. With every mile Muse B drives, they get further and further away from the tour route and further out of range of the GPS satellite. By the time Muse A wakes from their nap, they’re pretty lost.
-
Muse A owns a flower shop next to the cozy cafe where Muse B works as a barista. Despite seeing Muse B every morning and having pleasant chats with them when they go to the cafe to order coffee, Muse A is too shy to tell Muse B about the romantic feelings they’ve been harboring for them for the last few months. One day, Muse B heads into the flower shop and places an order for a beautiful bouquet to be sent to a ‘special someone’. Muse A is terribly jealous, wishing that Muse B would show such interest in them, so they impulsively put a nasty message in the blank card and sign it with Muse B’s name before sending the delivery out. Muse B storms into the shop after the flowers have been delivered, demanding to know why Muse A sent such a terrible note to their mother, whom the flower order was intended. Now Muse A must explain themselves and confess how they really feel and hope that Muse B will forgive them/feel the same.
- It’s moving day for Muse A and Muse B, best friends since primary school who’ve finally saved up enough to rent their own apartment in a nice part of the city. Fully embracing their independence, the excited pair decide to move their stuff without the assistance of a professional moving company. The roomies’ plans go awry when their couch gets lodged in the apartment doorway, blocking entrance into their box-cluttered place and access to the other side of the hall. Muse A and Muse B try every trick up their sleeve to get the couch to budge, but they’re not successful. Muse C and Muse D, renters on the other side of the hall, encounter their struggling neighbors at the top of the steps (and the hunk of furniture obstructing their path). Muse C and Muse D offer assistance and eventually manage to get the couch into the apartment.
Grateful, Muse A and Muse B invite their friendly neighbors over. Muse A and Muse C are flirtatious from the get-go, while Muse B and Muse D can’t help but roll their eyes at their respective roommates. Muse A and Muse C rush into a fling based on their physical attraction to one another, but they end up having terrible chemistry once the deed is done. It’s very awkward and sometimes even tense between them when they bump into the other in the hall. Muse B and Muse D, however, develop a genuine liking for one another that seems like it might turn into something more over time. In the meantime, they take great pleasure in forcing their discordant roommates together every chance they get.
-
Muse A and Muse B find an apartment online that they both love. Though they’re strangers when they sign the lease, they agree to share the place. A few days after the move in, they start to question the arrangement.
Muse A is quiet and neat. Muse B is loud and messy. Muse A has a decent job and pays most of the rent, Muse B recently got fired from their job, hasn’t told Muse A yet, and isn’t in a rush to find a replacement job. Muse A is the responsible type, and Muse B couldn’t take care of a goldfish. Muse A likes their privacy and Muse B is happy walking around the apartment half-naked and entering their roommate’s space without knocking. They hardly agree on anything, from what to order for dinner to what temperature to keep the thermostat on. Just when Muse A is reaching their breaking point and on the verge of giving up the apartment they love to move back home because Muse B is driving them crazy and they can’t keep up with bills on their own, Muse A suffers a major setback/loss and Muse B is the only person who understands/can help them get through it.
-

Character A is an angel, on Earth for the purpose of finding and eliminating demons. Character B is one of said demons, and is wreaking havoc on mankind. The two argue and fight at first, but a danger that threatens both of their worlds brings them together.
-
A and B meet at a bar and get to talking. After finding that they have a lot in common, and B is totally hot, A is disappointed to notice that B is watching someone else at the bar. As this stranger gets up to leave, B excuses themselves to follow them out! A sits there for a few moments, pouting, until they work up the nerve to follow after them, too. But when A gets outside, they see B put a wooden stake through the stranger’s heart and then… Poof. Dust. What the freaking hell.
-
Character A is quite the outcast, and one night is particularly worse than the others. They decide to summon a demon out of boredom, curiosity, and pure loneliness, but they didn’t expect it to work. They now have a demon, Character B, standing in their bedroom, who has decided to take pity on A.

Muse A is the child of wealthy man living in a seaside town; they’ve always been afraid of the sea, yet oddly fascinated by it. When Muse A was a child, the ship they were sailing on was attacked by pirates and they were barely able to escape. Although the lure of the sea has always been there, Muse A has since refused to ever board another ship. Several years after their brush with pirates, in the dead of night, a suspicious ship sets anchor a little ways away from shore. Pirates make landfall and begin to pillage and plunder the town. The militia stationed in the town are quick to react and a fierce battle breaks out. With the perfect distraction created, the captain of the ship, Muse B, heads for the most opulent-looking manor.
Muse B breaks in to Muse A’s home and begins to raid Muse A’s late mother’s jewelry. In an attempt to stop Muse B, Muse A steals one of their father’s swords and holds the pirate at sword point. Since Muse A has never had any kind of training, they are easily overpowered by Muse B. Upon taking a closer look at Muse A, Muse B decides that they are worth far more than any bejeweled trinkets. So Muse B offers a proposition; in exchange for ending the bloodshed and leaving port, Muse A must come aboard Muse B’s ship as a captive. Muse A is terrified, but they are kind-hearted and wish to protect their town, so they reluctantly agree. So now Muse A must face their fears and leave their life behind. How will they fare and what will their relationship be like with Muse B?

For years now, the oceans have been plagued by pirates, but none are more known than the fearsome 'Ocean's Grimm', a group of pirates who steal and rob ships all around the oceans. Muse B, a high ranking official (or whatever suits you), has been tasked with ridding the oceans of these pirates and has been granted access to the kingdoms ship and crew. Aboard the ship, B runs into the pirates, coming into conflict with them.
(Option A) Muse B has been captured by the pirates and only narrowly escapes being killed. Instead, they have been kept captive under the orders of the captain, Muse A. The more time B spends with the pirates the more they notice something is wrong and gets closer and closer to finding out the motive of the dreaded pirates.
(Option B) During the conflict, Muse B takes the captain, Muse A, captive. B's original intent is to return A to the kingdom where they would be given judgment for their crimes by the king himself. But during the long journey, B notices that the captain shows no sense of fear and is in fact rather casual for the situation they are in. B later finds out that A isn't as normal as they seem.
