I always do my best to communicate with my partners and I want the same in return. If you're ever having trouble responding, or just aren't feeling the roleplay anymore, please let me know. We can either discuss how to switch things up so we're both enjoying it, or we can go our separate ways. If I don't get any kind of response after a week, I'll check in. If that check-in goes unanswered, I'll assume you've lost interest and leave the rp. I know sometimes life can get in the way and make it impossible to check messages, but I hate the feeling of sitting in a conversation, thread, or server, waiting weeks for any indication my partner is still there.
My replies tend towards the shorter side unless I'm playing multiple characters, since I tend to focus more on interaction than descriptions. I am working to improve on including details to help visualize the scene, but it's often something I don't think of. I'm always happy to clarify and add details when needed.
I require OOC communication, if only for plotting purposes. I would prefer to talk casually outside the roleplay, either about the characters and story, or just about our lives. I'm terrible at making conversation though, so I tend to just wait for my partner to initiate chitchat. I am trying to get better about initiating conversation though.
getting personalI am unable to work due to disability, so I'm often online and in need of some form of socializing. Roleplay has been my main source of interacting with each other because I love exploring characters and creating something together. I also don't feel the pressure of normal chatting where I struggle to think of what to talk about and how to keep a conversation going. It's nice to have something to direct conversation, even if we deviate every now and then.
I am an artist, but I mostly just work on character design. It's incredibly rare for me to draw interactions from roleplays or my partner's character for fun, but most my characters have been drawn and designed by me. I do occasionally use art I commissioned, or if I'm still figuring out a character I often only have a Picrew image for their reference.
- aboutnoticeideaswritingbefore we roleplaypartner expectations
- will communicate when there's a problem
- enjoys diverse characters (LGBT+, PoC, disabled, etc.)
- able to post once a week at minimum
- 3rd person, paragraph style
- minimum 3 sentences pre reply, more preferred
- does not write more than 5 paragraphs per reply except for scene setting
- contributes to plotting and has something they want to explore in their character
- ooc chatting outside plotting is preferred, but not required
The thing I value most in my roleplay partners is the ability to communicate. Sometimes inspiration just won't come, or a reply isn't giving enough to build on. When this stuff comes up, tell me. I'm always willing to adjust things to make the roleplay enjoyable for us both. It's also okay to say that you're just not feeling a roleplay and don't want to continue. I won't be upset if you want to drop me as a partner, or if you want to do a different plot.
I am looking for a partner who will have a similar average reply length to myself (I average 3-5 short paragraphs.) Unfortunately I get overwhelmed by particularly long responses / novella style, so I prefer replies to be on the short-to-medium length range. I also have no interest in replies being padded with unnecessary details for the sake of length. I would rather receive a one sentence reply, over one that's 3 paragraphs long but most of it has nothing to do with the scene or is flowery descriptions. All that unnecessary detail does is make it difficult for me to find the parts I need to actually respond to and build off of.
More important than length is the ability to provide something for me to build off of. Responses should never just be your character reacting to mind. It should be the reaction, plus something for me to react to. This could be dialogue, an action, or even a change in environment, depending on what's appropriate.
limits and triggersAbsolutely no:
- bigoted main characters, even if they're working on it
- abusive main characters
- mean or cruel main characters
- suicidal actions and self-harm
- abuse
- rape
- depressive episodes
- anxiety / panic attacks
- injuries
- sexual acts, but only the lead-up before fading to black
Although I am comfortable exploring heavy topics, I prefer the focus be on comfort and coping. If a character is dealing with grief, I want to explore them recovering and the other character helping them, not focus on how painful the loss is. Honestly, there's too much I'm struggling with in real life, to be able to focus on that pain in my writing.
- aboutnoticeideaswritingcharacters and plotsI'm especially craving a romance with a delinquent type (you would be the delinquent) but I'm open to most things!

- aboutnoticeideaswritingwriting samplesstarter sample"Ah, this should be the place," Basilisk hummed, stopping the moving van in front of an apartment building. They frowned a bit at the cars already parked along the curb, leaving no space for the van. After a quick glance to confirm no one was nearby, Basilisk shot a look at the cars again. They jumped apart, moving in opposite directions down the street. Still, the space they created would only fit a small car at best... Basilisk hummed, glancing at the roof of the van. There was a shudder as the back shrunk, until it could fit snuggly into the space.
"That should do," Basilisk hummed cheerily as they pulled into the spot.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Therai shook his head. "Couldn't you have waited until I got out before you started reshaping things? It was already cramped in here to begin with..."
Basilisk looked over, letting out a laugh as he realized the seats had moved forward, resulting in Therai scrunching up to fit into it. "Sorry about that, I'll reset it before you have to get back in."
Therai just grunted, squeezing out the door quickly so he could stretch out his long limbs. Even with his human transformation on, he was a towering figure casting a shadow on the street. Although with Basilisk at his side, any onlooker could believe he was a more reasonable height. At least until they got close enough to realize both of them were ridiculously tall by human standards.
Basilisk pulled out their cell phone, glancing up at the building's windows as he waited for his call to be answered.
"Hello, Miss Lorretta Harrison? This is Basilisk, the manager of Outré. We're outside your building with the moving vehicle. Did you want to come down to meet us, or should we start heading up to your apartment?"
reply sampleFlick darted into the apartment the instant he dropped from the doorknob and realized it was open. He hopped a few times, sniffing the air and looking about for the metallic items that had drawn him there, before pouncing on a nearby rusty sword. He gave it a lick before immediately realizing rust tasted terrible, sitting back and wiping his tongue with his hands.
Therai stampeded down the hall, grabbing Ren's doorframe to help stop himself. His claws cut into it a bit as he slumped. "I'm so sorry. I feel asleep and Flick got out. I think he's looking for snacks. Coins haven't been enough for him lately..."
He glanced over Ren's shoulder to see Flick sniffing at some object he didn't recognize, having moved on from the sword. Those tiny clawed hands gripped the object, tongue lolling out-
"FLICK! THAT IS NOT YOURS!"
Therai's voice was like thunder and the air grew warmer, but the half-dragon barely reacted. Flick glanced over, tongue hovering over the item in his hands.
