Within Kansas lay two packs of different cultures. One, known as Black Skulls resides to the east while Ithidin resides to the west. Between them is a hunting grounds that they both share and south of that is the human city which is considered neutral territory. These two packs were once one pack but over time, something happened that caused them to split into two packs. While the members of Ithidin have forgotten the reason for their split, there is one member that resides within Black Skulls which remembers the reason why the packs split up into two.

This thread is for the human city and the hunting grounds. Characters cannot kill each other here and there is a fighting ring managed by the werewolves where the packs can fight each other or settle disputes as well as fight with others of their own packs.

Orianna

After a long and frustrating day of helping confused clients reset their passwords and remotely troubleshoot their PCs, Orianna was tired and relieved to be out of work for the time being. There were only so many angry phone calls you could take in one day, and she had reached her limit. It was time for a drink. Coffee? A beer? She was feeling hot chocolate personally, something warm and sweet to offset the bitter and cold remark she had gotten from her last client when he hung up on her after an hour of working through his issue. The encounter had left a sour feeling.

There weren’t any hot cocoa packets left in the pantry for her to use, and maybe it was for the best, as they were cheap tasting powdered drinks and not as fulfilling. It would be better to get something actually made of chocolate. So after bidding Hank a warm farewell with the promise that she would return soon, Orianna emerged from her apartment and found herself in the bustling streets of the city, where regular pedestrians were on their way home or some other destination that didn’t interest her. She was glad to have bundled up before hand, mitts and sweater, as the spring weather was finally here but the last tinges of winter still pierced the air.

Saxondale had once been settled by Germanic peoples who had descended from the Saxons of northern Germany, or Old Saxony as the homeland had once been called. Patches of snow lay upon the ground, skies clear but chilly. The pack of Black Skulls was taking the time to inspect Saxondale and relax from the harsh winter that had befallen the pack, making hunting harsh and many bellies go without food. Mothers could not carry their pups to term and those that were born premature had unfortunately passed. But it was a new season now and the pack was hoping things would look up, at least that was the alpha's hope. They could not afford for anything else to happen. Maynord had the pups sequestered with their fellow omegas at the back of the pack with those who were den guards surrounding them while the Xi and pack guards of the Psi surrounding the pack themselves. His daughter was among one of those with the other omegas. Eleanor wandered next to Hyuk who was watching the younger omegas, the child looking around her as they headed into town from their own territory, some of the wolves shifting as they emerged into town to take human form once again.

"I suggest the omegas stick together," said Maynord as he turned and began walking backwards, observing his pack. "The younger omegas and subordinates shouldn't wander off and the Psi and Xi are to be on guard but do not let on that we are wolves or attack unless we are attacked in turn. If, for some reason you suspect there is a problem, send an Eta or Upsilon to myself or Si Woo," he said. "Disobedience in the city will not be tolerated. Remember this is neutral territory and the humans may come after us if they find out what we are, much less the few vampires that might remain."

Hyuk shifted on his paws before whining in answer, lowering his head and averting his eyes. "Okay papa," said Eleanor, causing the alpha's eyes to slide over to her. While Hyuk shifted into his human form, together with a few older wolves who were eleven and up, the others would be rather quiet. Soo Yun stuck by her mentor Bora who was looking around them, dancing lightly on his feet to keep his blood flowing, the Upsilon and Subordinate who was training to be an Upsilon practicing Soo Yun's training, even now with being in part of the neutral grounds that was human owned.

"Caspian, keep your guard up. Hyuk, you will either watch Nico and Eleanor or you will go with Admina and help her collect herbs and medicines if needed," said Maynord. "Unless anyone has any questions and all the adults have shifted into human form, we can now enter town."

Chul-Moo was rather bored. Winter had been a nuisance so being in Saxondale was a nice reprieve from being stuck in the pack house all winter. Even though it was a bit chilly out and there were patches of snow on the ground, which made the ground somewhat slushy in places and sank into his boots, the Xi who also worked as a Lambda was making his way to work as a Barista in Bluebird Cafe.

Cold got easily through the thin and worn clothing that the elderly omega wore, taking the time to sit outside and enjoy a small coffee and a muffin that he'd purchased from a Starbucks on Buffalo Rd, a side road that ran through the city. The omega had seen a lot within his life and had some memory problems from his time in the Korean war. The old wolf hadn't been the same since he'd come back from overseas in that war, nor in the first gulf war that he had fought in as well. The man's withered hands were wrapped around the Styrofoam cup, quietly sipping it as he watched the humans and the occasional loner walk through the city which was one of the bigger cities in Kansas and had many blocks, many homes and even an abandoned subway beneath the streets that he'd discovered when he'd been homeless for a time after the Gulf war.

Silvia looked aroun the block looking for the adress that had been given to her for the pet setting gig. yeah it was exciting to get a job on the rich side of the city but she dreaded the fact that she some of them might me sutck up and liked to look down there nose as people that they thought were beneath them but it was the fact that she loved animals that she did this. she has pet sat from snakes and and lizards to birds and fish as well as cats and dogs. so the idea of dealing with a new animal would be fun. after a bit of looking she soon spotted the adress she needed to go so she headed to the house. silvia shivered as she felt the cold gust of wind and pulled her coat up tighter to keep the warmth up.

Ye jun looked at his watch then at the music paper that sat before him still blank he had been unable to think of any thing to write at the moment so he got up and walled out of the cafe out in to the cold air giving a slight shiver she pulled his coat on as he began to walk down the street looking for something that might inspire him to write another song. he looked up the gray sky like it was eather going to rain or snow at any moment which made him sigh before he headed to the park.

It had been a harsh winter for all but Adamina seemed to have felt winters harsh tone the most. She’d spent the majority of her time delivering premature pups who only survived a few days before the winter chill got to them, she cried for every single pup who passed way before their time. It was not just the passing of their new pack members that had made it such a hard winter but also the hungry bellies that would growl throughout the night. The hunters would come back with less and less each time and while Adamina held social standing and was able to eat not long after Maynord himself Adamina shared her food with the sick, infirm and vulnerable as they needed the food more than her. Her lowest point of winter was when she got sick, it takes a lot for a werewolf to fall sick but the combined stress of loosing so many pups, not getting enough sleep and not getting enough to eat caused the young shaman to fall ill. Her two brothers worried immensely for her, Caspian was unable to care for her due to his duties in the pack so he left her in the care of a older women with the assistance of Nico. However, the packs hardships was coming to an end as they left their shelter and headed down into neutral territory.

Adamina walked next to Caspian with Nico trailing behind with Elenor and Hyuk. The two older siblings walked in silence but Nico was extremely excited to be back out in the open and he was ready to play, Adamina had to scold him a few times to keep him in line. The family of 3 listened carefully to Maynord as he gave the orders, Caspian nodded as his alpha ordered him to keep his guard up. Adamina had already written a list of herbs and medicines that she needed to stock up with but luckily for her this human town had a rather large shop that she could buy all the things she needed from. “I think I’ll be able to go get the herbs myself if you don’t mind looking after Nico for me Hyuk?” Adamina asked him politely before Adamina knelt down the Nico “Behave for Hyuk, I’ll buy you a treat if you behave and play nice with Elenor. Remember who she is.” Adamina warned him as Nico seemed to forget that Elenor was their Alpha’s precious daughter. “I’ll behave.” Nico mumbled and so Adamina hugged him before hugging Caspian as she headed off into town to buy the herbs.

Caspian hung around Nico and Elenor for a while, making sure that his brother and Alpha Maynords daughter were protected and Caspian felt slightly uneasy by just an omega protecting them but after making sure they were safe Caspian begun to make the rounds.

Adamina had finally made it into town, her auburn hair made her stick out like a sore thumb against the snow, she was walking the usual route to the herb store “past the park and straight on.” She mumbled to herself as she walked quickly hoping to get back to the pack quickly as she had a few patients to treat. As she walked past the park a scent hit her nose, it was faint and she couldn’t make out the details of the scent but it was there and he definitely a wolf. she turned her eyes focusing on the man, he looked as if he were looking for something. Her eyes were locked onto him as she walked past and for a moment she thought that he was looking at her too.

Hyuk lifted his head as he was addressed by the pack's shaman, the woman asking if he could look after Nico. "Omegas have to stick together while they're young," murmured Hyuk. "I'll be sure to look after him and Eleanor," though the alpha's daughter had not been asked about. As Ademina would walk away, Caspian would nod to the alpha who turned around to face the city.

"Well then, you're all free to do what you wish otherwise," spoke Maynord before heading into town himself, leaving the pack to do as they wished. Bora, however, followed the alpha to keep an eye on him and for any potential threats to Maynord, leaving Soo Yun to her own devices, the adolescent heading towards a clothing store to look at clothes though she didn't have any money.

The gamma of Black Skulls was quiet as he observed the words of his young alpha who took charge quite easily. What had once been a sniveling and timid omega had become an alpha to be respected and admired as well as feared, not the least when it came to the protection of his heiress. He quietly observed the interactions of the younger members of the pack before heading into town to find something to eat.

Chul-Moo continued heaing towards the cafe, the morning sun suspended in the air above, shining its pale light upon the earth. Crossing the street at the intersection ahead of the cafe, he headed down the sidewalk and passed someone who was coming out. The scent of wolf caused him to turn his head towards the stranger as they came out, holding a piece of paper in their hand.

After a breaf moment he felt eyes on him turning around his eyes landed on an unknown female that seemed to be looking at him. turning to fully face her before he walked over to her. "is there something i can help you with miss?" he asked politely while looking down at her not because he was rude but because he was 5'10.5. he could easily smell she was a she wolf from the black skulls but he was not going to b rude to her but he would see what she wanted.

silvia talked witht he owners and saw that she would be dealing with a hybred macaw which would not be to hard for her since she had cared for several in the past. she told the owners that she would be back tomorrow to get the bird once she had an area in her house that wuld give the bird plently of places to fly and play with out fearing it would be hurt. once it was over she walked to the bluebird cafe to get a moca frappuccino so she could be warmed up.

walking in to the cafe she looked about and saw not many were there so she walke up to the counter. " can i get a moca frappuccino and a fresh cinnamon roll please" she asked as she pulled out some money to pay

The other wolf was on their way to the park by the time he opened the door and Choo-Loo entered the establishment, heading around the counter and into the back to retrieve an apron and wash his hands in the back of the room. Meanwhile, one of the other employees would head to one of the tables with some cleaning supplies and begin to clean it off, picking up the dirty dishes and mug and setting them onto a tray which he set down on another table. Chul-Moo was soon back out front and, having pulled on some gloves in the back, would pick up a pair of tongs and opened one of the glass doors. Retrieving a wax parchment, he placed the cinnamon roll on it and then slid that into a small bag which he folded up, sliding the door shut and set the tongs back in place. He then turned to prepare the drink asked for. He measured out the ingredients; 1/3 cup cold coffee, 3 tables sugar, 1/2 cup milk and 2 cups of ice which he put into a blender. Placing the top on it, he pressed it down until it clicked and then pressed one of the buttons, letting it blend together, pouring it into a cup and then topping it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, retrieving a straw and popping a lid on it, putting the straw into the drink. Retrieving a few napkins, he placed them into the bag with the cinnamon roll which had been wrapped up in the parchment and closed the bag again before handing the order over. "That'll be three fifty," he said. "Have a nice day."

silvia looked at the person serving her and gave him a smile at his kind attitude."thank you so much" she said as she was pulling out the money she slipped an extra 15 in as tip before slipping out the door before he relized what she had done. grinning she took a huge sip followed by a bite of the bun. she couldnt help but moan at the flaver that hit her tounge. thank god they had the bluebird cafe or she would have had to buy the over priced coffee and they dont treatyou this kindly.

Unaware of the tip, Chul-Moo took the money and began counting it, making sure it was all there. However, the woman who paid him had disappeared by the time he counted the money and found a fifteen dollar tip in there. He frowned and recounted it, looking up at the door when he was done. Odd, he thought to himself as he pocketed the fifteen dollars and then put the correct amount within the cash register. He then turned to help another customer and continue about his day.

Maynord disappeared into town, leaving Hyuk with his fellow young omegas and some npc den guards, the alpha taking the time to stroll through the city. It was rather nice being able to be outside after spending hours cooped up within the pack house and he was sure the pack felt the same, being cooped up in the village and seeing the season's pups pass before they could truly thrive. The alpha was rather bored and just wanted some time to himself without the issues of pack life or his daughter asking for things.

Adamina watched as the male wolf from the Ithidin pack came strolling towards her and simply asked "Is there anything I can help you with miss?" He asked in a rumbling, deep voice that caused a small chill to flurry down Adamina's spine. "I suppose not. Just curious about your scent, Blackberries?" She asked him leaning closer for a moment to smell the air around him "And Patchouli?" She asked looking up at him "Smells nice." Her compliment was subtle but still genuine. "Accompany me to the herb store if you're not busy, I need an extra set of hands" Adamina asked him. While this interaction between Adamina and this new male wolf was happening Caspian was watching from the hill, well more like listening as she monitored the interactions of the key members of their pack to make sure everything was running smoothly and all members were safe. The young man even managed to keep tabs on Nico, Elenor and Hyuk, Nico seemed to be having a lot of fun bothering both Hyuk and Elenor and it made the stoic man crack a small smile. Caspian's ears pricked up when he heard Adamina ask for assistance with collecting her herbs "Why is she asking someone not in the pack?" Caspian thought to himself, he was about to leave his post and help Adamina himself but he couldn't do that to the pack and especially not after some of the bad decisions he'd made during the winter so instead he stayed put and would just keep a careful watch over his sister.

Left alone with his fellow young omegas, Hyuk remained where the alpha had left them, seeing the gamma making his way into town after the alpha along with Bora who was an Upsilon. Only Caspian remained behind to watch the pack as Eleanor looked around them, watching her father disappear into town. Hyuk shifted his weight from foot to foot uneasily, eyes darting about as he watched his surroundings but aside from a few den guards milling about to watch the omegas and few mothers left alive that actually had pups survive the winter. "So...where do you want to go?" Hyuk questioned Nico and Eleanor, the little male occupying himself with bother both with Hyuk and Eleanor. "I think the alpha...may have given money to the den guards?" He looked over to one who was watching the alpha's daughter before nodding in response.

"The alpha did give money for the mothers and omegas to do something in the human city," said a female.

Ye jun nodded, " well we cant change our natural scents , glad my scent is pleasing to you " he said as he wondered why she was asking him to help with her herb but since she asked nicely he did not mid helping because if was against the rules of if he picked a fight in the nuteral zone unless it was at the fighting ring in the gym. looking up for a moment he looked back down at the female before him . "i do not see why it could not hurt to help out but be warned im not good at knowing herbs" he stated after a moment as his light brown eyes scanning the youn females face.... " the name is Ye-Jun Bu...."

silvia walked in to the pack happily munching on her warm food and drink almost tempted to go back to get more but that would be a bad idea right now.

Nico wanted to play badly, he looked up too Hyuk who mentioned that they had been given some money. The young boy thought for a moment before excitedly asking “Can we go for ice cream?!” Nico ran towards Elenor and took the hand of the younger girl “Do you want Ice cream Elenor? Even though we’ve been cold all winter I still want ice cream!” He said as even thinking about the sweet treat made him excited to eat it. “Please Hyuk!!” Nico begged the older omega.

Adamina nodded “you’re welcome.” She muttered out to him. The female smiled slightly upon his acceptance of his offer “Well, Leave the herb picking to me and you can just carry them for me.” Adamina said softly. Upon hearing his name Adamina smiled again “Ye-jun?” She asked him “It suits you, Adamina Larson.” She introduced herself before tucking a stray piece of her striking red hair behind her ear. “Come on, we’ve got some herbs to buy.” Adamina says as she begun walking with him to the herb shop, it wasn’t far from the park they met in. Adamina walked into the shop first greeting the shop keeper as they were old friends “They best stock just came in.” The shop keeper told the young women. “Perfect!” Adamina said grabbing two baskets, handing one to Ye-Jun as she begun to browse the aisles of endless plants. The first herb she needed was fresh green tea leaves. “Come on helper, I’ll teach you how to stop the perfect herb.” Adamina called for Ye-Jun.

Caspian had lost his sisters position, Nico seemed to be safe with Hyuk and so the young man ventured into the city. He was going to check on his sister but also check on the other members of the pack who were enjoying their first taste of freedom since they came out of their den. Caspian shoved his hands in his pockets and he took a deep breath in. It was extremely hard to pick Adamina’s scent apart from all the others and so the young man was just left wandering the city.

Ye jun took the basket that he was offered " you have a nice name as well" he said as he began to follow her around as she gathered the herbs wondering why she would ack some one not from her pack to help her out but he was not going to be rude because if his parents found out he would be in trouble with them and that was never fun. " i do have one question for you miss Adamina... why is it you ask me to help out. i know you know that i am from a different pack from yours?" he asked as he looked at the herbs that was being placed in the baskets.

Ice cream? It isn't even warm out. Nevertheless, the child voiced that and then went to Eleanor, startling the child as he took her hand and asked if she liked ice cream. She looked at Hyuk who shrugged and the child would ponder it before nodding.

"I like ice cream," she said. Hyuk sighed as Nico begged them to go get ice cream, the older omega running his hand down the back of his neck.

"Alright." He looked to the den guard who nodded and Hyuk and Eleanor would follow the guard as the woman headed into town, a couple other den guards following behind the group.

silvia looked down at her now finished up of coffee and paper wrapping that was now empty. sadly now that that it was enpty she headed to the recycoling ben and tossed the items in before heading back the way she came accidently bumping in to caspian aling the way. " oh i am sorry i should have been paying attention."

Adamina was extremely picky with the herbs she chose, any sight of wilting and it would rejected. It would only be the best for her pack. As the pair walked the walked the aisles of the shop Ye-Jun asked her a question, Adamina took a moment to think about her answer “Well, I suppose you looked slightly lost, like you had nothing to do.” Adamina spoke pulling a jar of tumeric off the shelf before inspecting it closely before placing it in the basket Ye-Jun was holding “You know what humans say, idle hands do the devils work.” She continued “Also, after having been pent up with my pack for so long it’s nice to have a new face to look at.” She explained stepping upon a step ladder to reach for some dried cinnamon. “You came along so easily as well and it’s nice to have someone carry the bags for me.” Adamina spoke with a mischievous tone laced into her words. “Plus we’re on neutral territory.” She put a final few items in the basket before climbing down the step ladder. “Why did you come along so easily?” She asked him as they carried the two baskets filled to the brim with herbs.

Caspian was power walking through the streets of the town, he was concentrating on weeding out Adamina’s scent from all the other wolves but it was just so goddam difficult. Caspian knew deep down that Adamina could handle herself if anything happened but he still worried immensely for his sister even in the small situations. As he walked someone bumped into him and he felt his temper flare at her words “Yeah, you should have.” He spoke harshly towards her, his eyes unforgiving towards her slight fumble.

Nico was extremely excited as soon as Hyuk agreed to take them for ice cream, the young boy held Elenor’s hand tightly as he led her into town. “What’s your favourite flavour ice cream?” Nico asked her “Mines Chocolate but Mina doesn’t let me eat it often, she says it makes me hyper.” Nico complained “What about yours Hyuk?” Nico asked excited and all that was on his mind was Ice Cream.

silvia looked at the male before her he did not have to be rude to her but it showed he had no maners at all towards the opisite gender. loolking up at her she moved around him and snorted at him " so rude " she hissed not caring if he heard her.

"well in my case i was looking for insperation for a new song i am trying to write. so i was wondering around looking for something " he said as she looked at the herbs that were piling up in her basket with ease he took the over filled basket and gave her an empty one so that it would easer for her. yes the female before him was attractive but he would never do anything to her so he turned to look at the diferent shelves of herbs that were around them to see what he might see of find.

Caspian simply continued to walk not paying the blonde much attention as his search for his sister continued. He was getting more frustrated with each second, he had no idea where her usual plant shop was and he couldn’t pick up her scent at all. Caspian soon just sat on a wall and calmed himself for a few moments. Caspian knew she was safe against any immediate threat but it was just like the situation with their parents, one where he couldn’t pick up their scent at all and so he was extremely frustrated at the whole situation.

“Thanks.” Adamina said as he took the heavy basket from her and handed the empty bags one. “A songwriter? I didn’t expect that.” Adamina admitted rather surprised about his occupation. “You know, inspiration rarely comes when you’re actively searching for it.” Adamina said picking up the last few herbs she needed for the pack, she also picked up a familiar blue flower “Well, it seems like you have found your inspiration.” Adamina said “This is a bluebell, many think it brings good luck.” She explained placing the small blue flower in one of the pockets on his person. “Hopefully it’ll bring you some inspiration too.” Adamina said as she walked back through the the shop keeper who began to total up the cost of the plants. “Charge it to the usual.” Adamina told the shopkeeper who nodded. “Oh and 1 bluebell.” Adamina remembered as she shopkeeper nodded. “Fancy helping me some more or are you off to find some inspiration.” Adamina asked picking up one of the baskets. She’d ask Ye-Jun to carry them to the towns edge where neutral territory became black skull territory.

Ye jun looked at her once more as he followed her to the check out line as she also got a bluebell which was odd but he did not say any thig about it . " well i am not really looking any more if it comes to me that would be nice and i have nothing else to do since most of my pack is here working and prepairing for the up coming spring " he stated as he began to follow her out of the herb shop to her next location.
