Hey, how goes? My name's RJ/Sam/Lou/whatever, and unfortunately, it seems I've caught covid. Forutnately, though, it seems to be a very mild case, but even then, I've got a ten day isolation period. It's been a hot minute since I've started an rp, though, and figured now would be as good a time as any to get back into it!|
No longer have Covid! Yay! However, life is a little up in the air at the moment, but it's looking like I might have some time to rp!
A bit about myself and what I'm looking for
-I've got ~8 years rp experience, though it's definitely taken a back seat in the past four.
-As mentioned in the thread title, I'm looking for something very low-key. I can write anywhere from a few sentences to far longer posts, but I don't want this to be stressful whatsoever. I'll try my best to match your length and I can include as many details as you please, but I care a lot more about establishing a rapport than trying to outflex each other's skills. I can easily provide a writing example if you'd like.
-Plotting together. I've got a few loose plots in mind that I'll list below, but my favorite stories come from both me and my partner working together. Work with me! Tell me what kind of stories you'd like to create!
-OOC. Like I said, I want to plot and communicate together, and it'd be nice to become friends! I'm most accessible over discord, for both ooc and rp, but I'm willing to write through dms.
-18+ writing partners. I'm 23 and I'd prefer to write with other adults.
-Just about all of my characters are some shade of queer. I'm down for all kinds of pairings (though romance isn't particularly important to me), but fair heads up.
-I have limited fandom experience, but if you want to write a canon character, go for it! I just might not know all of their lore
Hard no's
-This is a bit of a bummer, so I'll keep it brief. Not interested in writing about homophobia, self harm/suicide, or general torture porn. I'm alright with dark themes, but I don't want the story to revolve around how miserable everyone is.
Plots/Genres I'm interested in
Plot one:
The queen is dead, and her people are forbidden to mourn her. She was accused, tried, and sentenced to a public death by her husband and king, who believed she was conspiring against him. Her blood was not the first to be spilled because of his senseless fear, but it does mark a new reality for his subjects. As his reign devolves into tyranny, his gaze falls upon his heir, a young child who has been whisked away in the dead of night by someone loyal to the late queen. Together, they slip into the town below, where a pair of smugglers wait for their next job, entirely unaware of the precious cargo they'll be carrying.
(Medieval/fantasy rp with found family elements. I'm looking for someone to play an official from the kingdom and the heir. This can be a knight, an advisor, or even the royal chef. I've got two smugglers in mind, and I'm willing to plot it all out. Everything is flexible. Open to fantastical creatures).
Plot two:
They're called travelers. Visitors from above who claim to be from other planets, and by the look of the strange, angular creature with needle like teeth, oily black eyes, and ears that twitch and swivel, they most likely are. Travelers have been part of the planet's legacy for as long as anyone can remember. The stories surrounding them are as old as the tombs that speckle the countryside, filled to the brim with ancient treasures. However, this traveler is different. It stayed. It claims to have been marooned, but you don't care about that. All you know is that this strange little creature has garnered a reputation as a grave robber. With its slight body and quick reflexes, it can easily maneuver the booby traps that lace the aforementioned tombs. Its retrieved many a prize, but nothing like what you've been sent to retrieve.
(Sci-fi crossover. The planet the alien is marooned on can be any sort of pre-industrial setting. I've got the alien, and I'm open to anything.)
