Once apon a time, there was a kingdom where the king loved his people and the people loved their king. And the kingdom prospered. The people were overjoyed when the king had a son, and the new prince grew up a smiling boy in the faces of the people of the kingdom. But then..... nobody knows for sure what happened. Some say a demon swooped down on him one night and took his soul, some say he was corrupted by dark magics. One thing is for sure- One cold night, he woke up not the same. He always had a frown on his face, and looked at people with hatred and sadness in his eyes. Then he didn't really see anyone at all, keeping himself locked up in his room. When his father died, he finally stepped into the light again. The people were overjoyed at the fact that the frown on his face had subsided, and he seemed more confident in general. Then a horrible war began when another kingdom blew up a wall of the kingdom. After being attacked several times, the kingdom was in shock and terror. The prince took an army of 1,000 soldiers to the enemy kingdom, and... defeated it. The people thought it to be an act of God, since the other kingdom had hundreds of thousands of soldiers, others said the kingdom was merely left unguarded. And now the people love their new king, but... he's still not how he was.
Even today, says the woman who Tabitha manages to stop, who merely thinks Tabitha is an outsider. If she knew that Tabitha was actually...
Tabitha is a normal, HUMAN person. That's the problem. These people... they're not humans quite like she knows. They're... different. She's not sure how, but... they are, for sure.
As the woman walks away, the kingdom looms over her. She has no idea what might happen if people knew that she was different, but she doesn't want to find out, either. But she still wants to know how to get home.
