"i was cast off into the woods and away from my family at the age of five. my family revered their heritage and always sent the 'relic holder' out into a forest to try becoming closer to the deity within my sword. the relic is supposedly an powerful thing not created for war. however my family's artifact changes form to best suit the holder. in my case it became an amulet. from before i was the age of five Eos's relic had reacted to me often resulting in the forming of ice when my emotions ran high. Eos can speak to me inside my mind. she guides me like a mother and mentor. Eos took a special interest in me when i was born, although she never tells me why."

Sigmus is a young man with blonde hair and reddish brown eyes. His face is round and kind of chubby, despite all his hard work as a mechanic. He is very tall and lanky and sometimes he gets jumbled up in his own limbs. His hands are quite calloused due to the nature of his work and on his upper left arm he has the symbol of his people, a long sword with flames encircling it. His skin is ruddy and dark.



Country: Brought up in a city in western society named Rhyz which was a mining city up in the mountains.



Personality: Sigmus has been built up through hard work. Nevertheless, he has maintained a jokester attitude and has a deep love of puns, especially really terrible ones. He is open with his feelings and sometimes has an attitude. He is quite childish and can be stubborn. Sometimes his joking attitude gets in the way of his pursuits and leaves people feeling annoyed. He can be somewhat insensitive to other's feelings, although when he does realize he has hurt someone, he does apologize.



Bio: Sigmus was born to a sickly mother and a father who ran off after his birth. Luckily, when he was younger he was able to get a job as a blacksmith from his uncle. He has been working there since he was ten and has a reputation to be a fine smith, although he is very hasty. His mother never really told him about his past because she felt like he would be alienated for it. As he grew older, his mother grew sicker and before she passed away she gave him the family relic, a blacksmith's anvil, a smaller instrument used to meld metals. The anvil became one of his most used tools when he was working. However, he thought it was simply a backsmith's tool and nothing more.Yet, what he does not know is that the the anvil has the power to transform into a warhammer and has the power to summon flames from the earth if slammed down hard enough. The relic is attached to the god Aos, the god of metal and the furnace.

He drifts between cities since he doesn't have anything tying him down to one place.


History:


Before Riza was born, his mother tried killing him in the womb with poison, but he survived although he had red strand-like scars on his back. Although his mother hated him, he was raised along with his older sister after his father persuaded his mother to keep him. He was seen as a freak, and he spent most of his time lurking in the alleys with a group of street rats, who didn't care about his markings as long as he helped them in their raids of unsuspecting townsfolk. When he was 15, the city was attacked, and he lost his entire family. He followed his people down under the city, where some of the elders gathered a group of objects in a pile that was guarded by the remaining soldiers. Of course, he attempted sneaking past them but was unceremoniously kept out, until something flew past the soldiers and landed right in front of the boy. The soldiers thought he had played some kind of trick and immediately rushed at him and grabbed it, only to be burned. It fell right out of the soldier's gloved hand and right in front of Riza, who picked it up with no harm. One of the elders claimed the boy had been chosen by the relic, but after studying it, realized it was the most infamous of the relics; Tenebris, the god of darkness. Everyone became wary of the boy, but didn't bother him in fear the gods would punish them. Riza grew annoyed with them and finally left after a few months. They traveled to new cities and tried to blend in, but Riza preferred to stay in the outskirts of cities. The only time he ever entered a city was when he needed to steal some food, etc.



Personality:


Riza is cunning and and witty, and is quite headstrong. He likes being free to do what he pleases, so naturally he hates when people tell him what to do. His undoing will probably be self-confidence, since he always feel like people are mocking him behind his back about his appearance.



Tenebris, The God of Darkness Amulet

The amulet was said to be formed out of the darkness that covered the world in the beginning of time. When awakened, it turns the wearer into a shadow-like creature.

Bio: "H-hello. My name is Lilli. No. I don't have a surname. I was never given one.



I live in a large forest by the small town of Lewe in the center of Uganda. My parents died when I was seven in a raid on my village by a neighboring town for some 'relic'. My father's last words to me were, 'Protect the staff.' So I have. I keep this staff with me everyday as I go about the forest. It was my father's dying wish. No, I don't know what it does or where it came from, but I keep it close. I currently life in a small camp outside the village, just inside the woods, The Forest of Life. I believe I can become one with nature out there in the calm and quiet all day. But... it get's lonely. I see things. I... am alone.



Anyways, I was raised by the town's shaman, Madeline. She's cranky towards everyone but me, but I keep her from snapping. I love healing. I come to village everyday to help Madeline heal the sick and wounded. The little children of the town are so sweet! They call me big sister or 'ouer suster' in Afrikaans. I always bring them flowers and berries and bark from the woods, and they give me buttons and marbles and knicknacks of all sorts. I especially love this one little girl, Abby. She is the smallest of the lot, and is picked on by the other kids. I let her climb on my shoulders and give her extra special treats from the forest. They say I am compassionate, kind and loving. But I have my inner demons. I care too much. I am highly emotional. I am scared of... my visions. I have anxiety attacks.



Yet, every night, I go to the center of town and light a warm campfire. The children gather and listen to me tell stories of the stars, of gods and goddesses, of fire and ice and wind and blood."

Backstory:

Phoss was born an only child to a middle-class couple in Scotland. His parents ran a popular old-fashioned inn, which was a common social place for locals to find good food, fine drinks, gossip, and all the games and gambling they could afford. Phoss grew up assisting his parents with chores like washing dishes and sweeping the floors, and his close proximity to the customers often afforded him a close ear to the everyday secrets of the townspeople. He had always possessed a knack for games and storytelling, and in his free time would often entertain guests with tall tales of legendary characters and faraway lands. As Phoss grew, he became more social with customers and was soon the best gambler in town. His fascination and natural skill with games of chance, bluffing, and deception earned him a local reputation, and his parents began to realize that Phoss was soon ready to realize his destiny. One night, they performed the traditional Lyrosian coming-of-age rites and entrusted him with the family relic, which was kept hidden in a locked mahogany chest. Shortly afterwards. the relic awakened while Phoss slept, and in his dreams, he was graced with the presence of the enigmatic Lyrosian god Velix, lord of chance, travelers, and the wind. The god spoke and told the boy that the time for the return of Lyros grew near, and gave him a mission to find the other relic-bearers around the world so that Lyros could rise once more. In the morning, he told his parents about his dream, and left on his journey.

Personality:

Phoss is charismatic and filled with a great lust for life and adventure. He enjoys travel and games of dice and cards. Often his thrill-seeking attitude and fondness of gossip and secrets gets him into bad situations, but he is greatly-attuned with his deity, and the God of Luck often bails him out. He likes people, but doesn't necessarily trust them, and always keeps a couple of his favorite knives on his person just in case.




Velix, God of Luck, Wind, and Legends

Velix is quite the character, to say the least. When communing with mortals, he always appears in the same form: a four-armed, skull-faced wanderer, clad in a tattered cloak and a wide-brimmed hat. He is often charming and easy to get along with, having a particular appreciation for risk-takers, performers of great feats, and those who like to wander. He greatly dislikes overconfident people and those with hubris, and will often twist the fates to teach them a lesson about pushing their luck. If you're dealing with Velix, never forget: fortune is both easily given and easily taken away.




The Treasure of Velix: The Gambit Stones

Velix's relic is actually seven relics, seven dice imbued with Velix's divine power. He who wields the dice become incredibly lucky, and can toss the dice for a chance to get a helping hand from Velix himself, whether it be in the form of a sandstorm, a friendly gang of ethereal gunslingers, or a secret passageway to assist escape from a sticky situation. However, fortune is fickle, and there is always the chance that something bad could happen if the holder pushes his luck too far instead of quitting while he's ahead. In the hands of a skilled gambler, the dice are invaluable.

Avalon is very bold, spontaneous, open-minded, and impulsive. She loves adventure and exploring new places as she is a free spirit. She is always willing to try something new and often follows her heart rather than her mind, which can get her into a lot of trouble. Her intuitive attention to detail helps her notice when things change, or when things need to change. Small shifts in habits and appearances stick out to her, and she uses these observations to help create connections with others. Straightforward and upfront with her thoughts, Avalon is not afraid of confrontation and prefers to communicate clearly with others, standing up for what she believes in.



Underneath her bold exterior, however, lies a very kind and warmhearted person, often becoming quite protective of those close to her. | BIOGRAPHY |


Avalon was born into a happy family in a small town in the mountainous regions of Myrsina, Greece. She had two loving parents as well as a younger brother, whom she was very close to. Her childhood was fairly normal, her father sustaining them as a fisherman/farmer and her mother caring after the children. Ever since she and her brother were young, they were very close to their neighbors and the other townsfolk, as all the members of their community were fairly nice people. As they grew up, however, her brother began to slowly become associated with the street gangs, often hanging out with them and coming home late. She and her parents became worried for him, fearful that he was becoming involved with the wrong crowd. As a result, her parents forbade him from hanging around any gang members any longer. A rebellious teenager at the time, her brother refused to and his time spent with his new friends only increased.



The fateful night for their family was when the policemen showed up at their door with the report that Avalon's brother had been shot. There seemed to have been a disagreement between her brother and the gang he was associating with, and one of them pulled out a gun and shot him. Distraught after this incident, her parents decided to introduce Avalon to the relic they had been protecting in hopes that its powers could protect their daughter so that nothing like her brother's death could ever happen to her.

Avalon's relic is an ancient dagger with a lightning-shaped blade called the Lightning Blade. This weapon was made by the diety, Raidon, who is the god of lightning and thunder. Legend has it that he made this dagger from the very first lightning bolt that ever pierced Earth, electrifying the entire weapon and later cooling into the blade it is today.



Whoever wields this lightning blade has the ability to summon and manipulate lightning after one has mastered it. Initially, however, the wielder will only be able to shoot out lightning bolts from the tip of the blade.

The god of lightning, thunder, and storms, Raidon often appears as a dark-haired man with a black hooded cloak in his human form. Besides the fact that his eyes are filled with electricity, he appears to be an otherwise normal human being with the ability to wield lightning. He has an impatient, bold, and outspoken personality, easily annoyed by inefficiency and slowness.

    Personality: Levin is an mild-mannered fellow known for his dry wit and keen intellect. He's quite socially inclined, amiable, and usually treats strangers with respect, so long as they respect him back. Levin is easygoing and relaxed with a slow temper. He's the kind of guy who can take things in stride. Where others would be appalled or offended, maybe even jump into a conclusion, Levin would at least think it partially through before making a decision or an action.



    Biography: Levin Schnetzer was born to a normal family in Frankfurt am Main, where he grew up in a small flat with his parents. Levin's father was a history professor at the Goethe University, while his mother was a pharmacist at a local hospital. Levin was an avid reader when he was young. Whenever he could, he would always take the chance to stick his nose in a book, though he was teased by some of the other kids because of it.



    Because of this, however, Levin became an exceptional student in school, eventually earning top marks on his Abitur exam. With his stellar intellect and cunning wit, Levin was seen as worthy enough to carry the family heirloom. Levin was given his family's relic... an old leather-bound journal. Blank. Needless to say, Levin was rather underwhelmed by the family heirloom, but decided to simply hold onto it for the sake of tradition.

Sheila is very blunt and so she would say anything that comes to mind. She doesn't care about being rude or hurtful and would just speak the truth. She words things differently and so she might sound a little cold or cruel. Because of her mental age of 23, she wants to be independent and hates it when people try to baby her. She can be quite bossy and she is strong-willed. She will stay calm, even in a life or death situation. Even if she might sound cold, in the end, she will do anything in her power to help the people she cares about and would risk her life for them.

"I have lived with my parents all of my life in a cabin in a forest in Canada. I was home schooled and never really came in contact with any other human beings besides my parents. I often stayed home alone while my parents went to the nearest town to do some shopping. On my fifth birthday my parents gave me my relic and ever since I was able to see spirits. That was also the day I first met Selene. Everyday, I learned things from my parents, the spirits, and Selene. Other than the fact that my body stopped aging when I turned ten and that I could barely see anything during the day, my life was okay. When I turned 18, however, my parents abandoned me and I was left all alone in that cabin. Well, it wasn't too lonely. I had the spirits and Selene there with me. I don't really go into the town unless there was a reason. Apparently, people have been spreading stuff around the country about my powers. At this point in time, I don't know how exaggerated they've gotten since the rumors started."

Selene, Goddess of the Moon

Selene often takes the form of a beautiful young woman with somewhat tanned skin. Just like the moon in the night sky, Selene's body literally lights up the area around her. As if she is amongst the stars, her body would sparkle. Her hair is a light blue color that matches her glowing gown. Selene is benevolent and a foe of strife. She is the eye of the night. She is able to see everything that happens underneath the light of the moon. Although she is all-seeing and all-wise, Selene will not give answers right away. She would much rather give clues and riddles to guide the person to the correct answer. She would help lead them, but will not hold their hand throughout their journey.

Selene's relic is a pendant with her symbol, a crescent moon. When awakaned, the wearer is bound to the necklace for life. No matter what the pendant can not be removed from the wearer until their death. While wearing the necklace, one will be able to see and speak to the spirits of nature, Selene herself, and sometimes even the ghost of those who were once human. Using any body of water, even water in a container such as a bowl or cup, they'll be able to see whatever Selene can see. Which means anything underneath the moon light. Some may see this as useless, but it is fact quite useful. You see, a lot of things can happen in the veil of night. One can even be able to see in the dark; however, in exchange, they'll have a tough time to see during the day. They'll also be able to use telekinesis. One of the biggest problems probably faced by the wearers is the fact that their body would stop aging at a young age. Mostly, around ten years old their body stops aging; however, they will not live forever. Their body may not look to be aging, but their organs are still aging, and they will eventually die as if from old age.
