The sounds of steps were closer to him now,climbing through the stairs of the building that he was staying on. His breath were ragged,the air didn't want to leave his body.


He had overused his powers again,saved a woman that was extremely close to death. And now he was paying the price the scavengers were too close for him to run away. Locking his fingers around his weapon,he waited for them to come closer.


The sound of a bullet resonated through the building and he took cover.
