Hello! I'm finally getting off the Lurker train and making a post, I think I have finally got the hang of this website! As such, I am in need of a partner; interested? Read on!
A b o u t M o n - T e a
Name: Monty/Chuya.
Age: Twenty-two years old.
Timezone: GMT-4
Language: English.
Experience: Ten years, though I had been on a nine-month break up until now as I was fed up with the management of the site I was on before and did not know about this site.
Roleplay type: Literary, Advanced-Lit, Novella; though I tend to adjust my length and style to the person that I am roleplaying with so do not take these labels to be too scary. I know some newer people looking to learn can get easily overwhelmed by advanced requirements.
Looking For: A partner who would not mind if I am not attached to my computer all day, though I have a minimum of three multiple-paragraph responses (or many shorter ones) so no worries about content. I am feeling pretty free-spirited as of late, I do not typically do fandom RPs because I do not have much time for them, however, some do interest me (Noragami, Fairy-tail, Ao No Exorcist, the BnHA universe, and Naruto). If you are not interested in anything fandom related I am your creature, I prefer to do things from scratch. I like to start my RPs out platonically unless the plot is based specifically on romance, then see where the writing and chemistry take us.
Genre Interests: Medieval, Fantasy, Marine, Adventure.
Though I would prefer if my partner led the roleplay while I get used to being back at it, I am not opposed to leading a plot that my partner has chosen or one of these plots I have done before:
(1) L o s t a n d F o u n d
This plot is designed to be dynamic, allowing both parties to manipulate the storyline and incorporate characters. It can be non-fantasy or have fantasy elements within it, this is to be discussed before the roleplay starts.
Muse A comes from a notoriously wealthy family that lives right by the sea, they enjoy the finer things throughout their childhood, such as beaches, boat trips, etc. One day, in the summer of one of their high school years they get into an accident, causing them to fall into a coma for a couple of days, a week, or a month. When they wake up, however, they find that their childhood best friend, Muse B, has gone missing. Not only that, but no one seems to remember them at all.
They ask their family, who appear to have no recollection of Muse B. They search for them, going to their house a couple of paces down the road just to find a different family living there, who say they've lived there for many years; and when Muse A checks the records they find that they are telling the truth. When school starts up they ask their teachers and classmates, all of whom give pitying looks while having no recollection of beloved Muse B.
It's like Muse A completely dreamt up Muse B, and so that is what they start to believe. Eventually, the stinging of grief fades, Muse B's face wanes from memory, and they truly become that. Nothing but some dream from Muse A's childhood.
Fast forward to Muse A's mid-twenties, they work their dream job (either a Marine Biologist, Marine Biology professor, or general caretaker at a marine institute), they have a house, a significant other, and a perfect life. They're happy, or so they appear to be outwardly.
One day they get word from their boss that a famous Oceanographer is coming back from one of their voyages to work on their next book.
When the two meet, Muse A's world flips upside-down. This Oceanographer has the same face as Muse B but older. They have a different name, sure, different style, but they look so similar that it can't be a coincidence. Muse A instantly attempts to get closer to them, they know that this person just has to be Muse B. But when they do, they find this person to be completely different from how they remember. They are foul-tempered, rude, and have no interest in anything around them except their work. They especially do not like Muse A.
However, due to circumstances regarding both of their jobs the two end up having to work together whether they like it or not.
Notes: The accident takes place in Muse A's second year of high school, for non-Americans, this is around 15 to 16. Muse B is a couple of years older than Muse A, at the time of the accident around 18. So when they meet again as adults they are in their late twenties, Muse A 25 to 26 while Muse B is around 28. This is important to the plot.
(2) T h e H e r o ' s L a m e n t
This plot is designed to be dynamic, allowing both parties to manipulate the storyline and incorporate characters. It can be romantic or non-romantic, we can discuss this in chat.
Muse A was a hero for many years, known as the best in the world. They had money, they had fame, and they had the love of the people. The mere mention if their hero name would send shivers down the spines of would-be criminals, sending them right back into conformity.
One day, Muse A requested a televised meeting and of course, the city complied. Eager to know what Muse A wished to share. However, when the meeting came, Muse A announced that they would no longer be acting as the world's hero, the fate of the world lay in the hands of the people from then on.
Instead of acceptance, worry, or confusion, the studio and households around the world tuned in to the program and erupted in laughter. Taking the proclamation to be some sort of delayed April Fools joke. Muse A, in all seriousness, allowed them to keep their denial.
Muse A disappeared from that moment on. The world continued, writing off the little crimes that went without a hero stepping in as Muse A being too busy with something else. There was still hope in the growing doubt.
A couple of days after the broadcast something big happens, a terrorist attack that crumbles parts of the city. Muse A is nowhere to be found and the current age heroes who have grown lazy under Muse A's perfect world struggle to serve and protect. Everyone finally realizes that Muse A is serious. They are gone for good.
Over the years since Muse A's disappearance from the hero world, their hero name has started to garner a negative connotation. They turned their back on the people. They were only a hero for money. They created the mess the world was currently in. They needed to take responsibility. They deserved punishment. All these were opinions of the people, and slowly, Muse A became a villain.
The plot can be divulged here with a couple of Muse B options. We can collaborate on which to do or you can suggest your own.
A l t e r n a t e s
One:
Muse B is a new-age hero. They looked up to Muse A throughout their youth, they were the entire reason Muse B wished to become a hero. In the years since Muse A's disappearance, they have advocated for them. Something must have happened to them, maybe they were beaten or threatened into abandoning the people. They take it upon themself to track Muse A down as many people have attempted before. However, when they do find Muse A. They are hardly the hero they expect them to be. They are grumpy, surly, and have no interest in going back to being a hero. Not even Muse B's threats to expose them seem to scare them. So instead they decide to hang around Muse A, hoping to unravel their truths.
Two:
Muse B is a new-age hero. They looked up to Muse A throughout their youth, they were the entire reason Muse B wished to become a hero. In the years since Muse A's disappearance, they have grown to hate Muse A with unrivaled passion. They strive to be what Muse A never was, a true hero. One day they meet a mysterious stranger, an attractive stranger working at a coffee shop near their agency. They are gruff and a bit rude, but Muse B is unmistakably drawn to them. They start a bit of a friendship when Muse B "saves" them, telling them that they can pay them back by going out for coffee or something.
Muse B complains about the hero Muse A, while their new friend just listens and allows them to. Things continue smoothly, and their relationship grows deeper. Until one day they discover that their new friend is actually Muse A.
Three:
Muse B is the villain that the media called Muse A's archenemy. They are not a good person, but they enjoyed the fights between the two. When Muse A disappears, at first they are just bored. However, slowly that boredom becomes worry, guilt, and maybe even longing. They resolve to find Muse A no matter what.
Notes: Though this was not intended for the My Hero Academia universe, however, I am willing to do that if you like.
If you have made it thus far, congratulations! This is my second time ever posting on this site and I am still trying to figure it out as, admittedly, I am not very tech-savvy. If you do want to Roleplay with me I will most likely be operating on this site only, as Discord is a scary place. However, I am nice, and down for just about anything so feel free to respond directly to this post or DM me if that is something you can do here. If you are interested but have an idea I have not covered here absolutely let me know because I would much rather hear what you have to say than what I do
