A year after the collapse of the world economy, Canadians began to take over lands in the northwestern United States until they had successfully infiltrated and claimed the states of Oregon and Washington. Infuriated, the United States, barely still intact itself, sent its military to Canada's border and began a long, expansive war. They first claimed Canada's territories to the east, and eventually claimed all of the lands owned by Canada. Although victorious, the United States then collapsed and became an anarchist state for 3 years, then reverted to a dictatorship under the rule of a Texan supremacist.
After the reversion of the anarchy that was now America to a dictatorship, America was craving conflict. They contemplated occupying Greenland or moving into Asia through Russia, but instead, The United States declared that the Caribbeans would now belong to them. Haiti and Cuba denied this and united in a front against the U.S., but Jamaica and other islands north of the Dominican Republic surrendered immediately. The majority of troops from the U.S. struggled in the new climate, making it a bloody war with many losses, bet eventually, the United States emerged victorious and claimed the Caribbean as well as many outlying islands like the Virgin Islands.
After the war in the Caribbeans, America had become disheartened because of their losses. Their new leader was proving to be tyrannical and downright terrible as he refused the majority of the people's rights. Riots and killings were happening frequently, and there needed to be a change. The tactic of Hitler's Nazis was implemented and the newly formed Constitutional party snuck into congress and started a revolution that resulted in the ousting of The American dictatorship. After a revised constitution was written, making the nation a mostly direct democracy, the people rejoiced and America became stable.
