Results and Following Events of the Third Ninja World War
KonohagakureA year or so following Konoha's eventual victory in their war against Iwagakure, the Nine-Tailed Fox appeared in the outskirts of Konoha. The Tailed Beast rampaged throughout the village, taking countless lives and leaving many others in disarray. The village's current Hokage, Minato, managed to separate the beast from the village, sealing it away in his newborn child before dying alongside his wife, Kushina. The Third Hokage has been tasked with filling the position the Fourth Hokage had left behind, and currently Konoha works on both rebuilding the village as well as is concerned with the finding of whomever released the Nine-Tails.
IwagakureFollowing their surrender to Konoha at the end of the Third Ninja World War, the Third Tsuchikage's disciple, Deidara, stole a forbidden technique before destroying part of, and abandoning, the village. As a result, he became an S-Class Missing-Nin, and a bomber for hire.
SunagakureDuring the Third Ninja World War, a puppet-master named Sasori had obtained the title Sasori of the Red Sand, reflecting the amount of enemies he killed, leaving the sand beneath his feet stained red. Shortly after the war ended, Sasori left the village, alongside the Third Kazekage's disappearance.
KumogakureDuring the war, Kumogakure participated in a number of small skirmishes with Iwagakure and Konoha. The Third Raikage died in a large battle against Iwagakure, in which he alone held back a rumored 10,000 Shinobi for three days and nights. Following after this death, the Fourth Raikage was appointed.
KirigakureDuring the Third Ninja World War, Kirigakure plotted the destruction of Konoha, having kidnapped Rin Nohara and sealed the Three-Tails within her before releasing her back toward Konoha. Their plot was foiled by a young Shinobi by the name of Kakashi Hatake, whom killed Rin Nohara at the girl's own request. The Three-Tails was then sealed within Yagura Karatachi, whom soon after became the Fourth Mizukage.
AmegakureDuring the Third Ninja World War, the immediate area around Amegakure, and in many cases Amegakure itself, became a battlefield. A third or more of Amegakure was destroyed during the war, complimented by a civil war within the nation itself that resulted in the killing of Hanzo and all related individuals. Those leading this rebellion had claimed that a god and an angel had appeared before them, guiding them on the way to victory, however all whom partook in the civil war claim they were not responsible for Hanzo's death. The village currently is in belief that this god, named Pain, alongside his angel, Konan, were responsible for Hanzo's death, and are currently protecting the village with the perpetual rain that covers the whole of Amegakure.
