The Lone Wolf
- Sword Art Online is a virtual reality mass multiplayer online game. In this AU there are classes in SAO, swordsman, warrior, berserker, archer, white mage, black mage, mage, knight/paladin, rouge, and so forth. These classes have subclasses ex. white mage has dancer, bard, cleric, etc. Rouge has thief, assassin, info broker, etc.
Eight months into the game the bosses regen with different combat styles each time they are defeated. Players come back after major boss fights to refight the boss for xp and drops. However many front-liners and fighters died from the sudden changes of the bosses. The number of people in SAO dropped significantly and the guilds who had fighters left began to ask people who lied ordinary lives to come help in the front lines. Not many stepped up but slowly the more who joined and trained others would follow. - SAO has a specific fighting style using "sword skills", they will be called combat skills for the sake of this rp and be a bit different from the show. They are almost like-charged attacks. The player imbues a skill into their weapon and the weapon will perform that skill. (ex. speed burst, the weapon will glow a color of your choosing and then burst with speed when swung or thrown) Magic will work like any other video game/show. You cast the spell and it will work if said correctly/performed correctly. This can be done similarly to Alfheim online. (if you are unfamiliar with said show then just have them perform it)
Skills will be based off of a skill tree. You guys can determine where those branches go, just make sure it is not op or unreasonable.
- If your character has support spells with effects that are not immediate and are applied over time, then the amount that is done by those spells will be determined here, for reference. I will be doing all the math to make this easier. For example, my character has a healing waltz that restores 5% of anyone's max health in a 4 foot radius of Xena every .25 second she dances. That means if the character has a max health of 2000 they will regen 400 health per minute. I will update this page with all of the math over the course of tomorrow.
Everyone will be level 10 or above. At level ten you will have 1000 health and 600 stamina/mana (if that applies), and at each level, you will add 10 health (same applies to mana and stamina) to that. (ex. If you are a wizard with a special drop (run by me first) that increases your mana, that's fine.) Once everyone's characters are higher leveled I will adjust how much health/stamina/mana is gained. - Different types of monsters, their damage, and their attacks will be listed here in tabs, over the course of tomorrow.
