Alright, let's do this.

Hey there. I'm Hyde, Hydeo Kojima, Idiot™, Oliver, whatever you want to call me. I'm twenty-two years old, currently living near Tampa, and find myself to be an absolutely insufferable human. I love 2D fighting games, discovering new music on the daily, and I'm about as much of a weaboo as the next guy. My hobbies include maladaptive daydreaming, watching video essays, and regularly disappointing my parents. Some of my interests include astrology, pathology, criminology, filmography, anime, and video games. At some point in the future, I'll be working retail part-time while attending community college full-time for Biology. While quarantine and online classes continue, however, I have too much free time on my hands and no real way to spend it. As you might imagine, that's what led to me pushing out this half-baked interest check. I should have a fully fleshed interest check coming sometime in the near future, however, and this one will simply have to do until then.

With that in mind, let's get right into it.

• • I find squicks and triggers to be very serious concerns, so please don't hesitate to discuss yours with me. I have few limits myself, but I'll always respect my partner's boundaries.
  • My own mental health is a trainwreck that is slowly crashing on repeat. I suffer from maniac depression and I'm very moody™, so response speeds will vastly vary.
  • I've been Roleplaying for a little over a decade now and have experience on various clients (ex: Tumblr, Discord, RoleplayerGuild, Facebook, Skype, etc).
  • I generally prefer male characters, but I'm equally open to writing female, non-binary, agender, transgender, and/or androgynous characters as well.
  • Romance isn't my priority and I don't specialize in it, but I also won't complain if it appears on the side. I'm fine with writing FxM, FxF, MxM, etc.
  • I'm a lonely person that likes to talk and/or plot outside of the Roleplay. If I like someone enough, I might even offer them my Discord handle.
  • I'm an "aggressive Roleplayer" meaning that I prefer to lead the plot, but I'm willing to act passively or share the role evenly as well.
  • You could realistically expect one post per week from me, but it could be more or less depending on if I'm in a high or low then.
  • I'm fine with angst appearing if it benefits the characters, setting, and/or plot, but I don't want it just for the sake of The Edge™.
  • I like to have an ensemble cast and write more than one character at a time. I can, however, also settle for using NPCs instead.
  • I like to write somewhere between three sentences to several small paragraphs. Usually, I aim to match my partner's length.
  • I've only ever written in third person perspective, but I might be open to experimenting with different writing styles too.
  • I would prefer to write in PMs or in a thread, but I might be convinced to switch to alternative platforms as well.
  
• I'm specifically looking for a Roleplay that I can easily throw myself into. This means little pre-planning, small to non-existent character sheets, and the ability to simply create as we go. The reason for this? I'm tired of putting copious amounts of work into worlds and character sheets that are simply abandoned within a week or two. Our plot can be as short or long as we want and I'm completely fine with people ditching for this as needed. I have no real pre-established worlds, desired character dynamics, etc., and I'm only looking for a plot that I can throw myself into. Some of the vague ideas that I have will be posted in the next few tab along with a few fandoms after that. As for buzzword and plot candies, those can be found in the word bank below. I'm always open to hearing what other people have as well, but please note that I'm not extremely interested in romance or slice of life plots unless there is some sort of unique twist to them.
  
  As for what I want from you:
  • I'm open to writing with an individual of any gender identity, sexuality, age, etc. All I ask is that they're comfortable with me.
  • Someone who has decent grammar and does not write in script. I have no preferences for how my partner should write aside from that.
  • I want someone who can offer their own ideas, inputs, and so on. If I wanted to write alone, then I would. Please be willing to contribute too.
  • Someone who doesn't pester me for responses. An occasional poke or reminder is alright, but I'll ditch anyone that is consistently nudging me.

  This is based on a dream that I had recently and is, therefore, very vague:
  
  Humanity was conquered by an elite species from another realm (or world) and put into highly surveillanced cities. Virtual barriers were created to keep the elite species out of human quarters and vice versa. If either species passed through the wrong barrier, then an alarm would sound to indicate their presence. Although humans were to live in slums, they were also were required to offer gifts and servitude to their new overlords. Their children, meanwhile, attended boarding schools away from their parents where they are denied basic rights and happiness for one reason or another. Those who defied their overlords were often punished or downright killed. The main character, however, was a favorite of said overlords.
  
  He or she failed to change clothing as required (humans apparently carried infectious disease that could kill said overlords) and often wore headphones. There were attempts to punish them, but the headmaster always looked the other way. The main character eventually lashes saying by "this was cruel" to humanity. He/she went on to kill the headmaster with a knife and after transforming into a fox. They were shot in the forehead, but lived with minimal injury after being comatose for a week. A friend saved them, but both were dumped somewhere outside of their society. This causes war to break loose though the main character was backed by a group of backwater hicks after their body was dumped near their hand. The hicks were casually friends with some of the overlords and each other, but nonetheless, creatures from both sides fought for a more peaceful society.
  
  Obviously I'm not looking for this exact idea, but I think that this concept could be polished into something unique and possibly very fun. Would love to hear anyone who has inspiration for this kind of plot.
  
  
  Spoiler: Two

  Standard fantasy journey where are characters are adventurers for one reason or another. They can be any species, race, age, and gender that we want. I would say that the more unusual or "dysfunctional" that the party is, the better. Let it be known that I don't want this to be like D&D where we're directly ripping from pre-existing material or rolling a dice. No disrespect to folks who prefer that, but that definitely isn't my style.
  
  
  Spoiler: Three

  I would be potentially interested in writing "a dating sim-like" Roleplay where multiple characters are trying to win the affection of one or two characters. I don't have the specifics on how this would work and I'm definitely not interested in this from the perspective who wants a harem wish fulfillment for their character. I'm more or less curious on how we could play with character dynamics, drama, emotions, and so on with a concept like this. This is probably the only time that I would be willing to write romance that is pre-established too.
  
  
  Spoiler: Four

  Thirteen people (as Gemini are twins) based on the zodiac develop powers after seeing a mysterious comet cross the sky about ten years prior. They find that they belong to a cluster, which is usually twelve people, but theirs is unusual because they have thirteen members. They begin to learn of a conspiracy involving themselves, develop telepathy, and learn that they can combine powers among other things. Very unpolished concept, but could be fun.

  People from around a city or small town bond over a late night radio show. This can either be slice of life or supernatural with them taking to the streets to become faux superheroes to fight mysterious creatures known as "Nightmares" using the radio show as their platform for fame and communicating with one another.

  Another vague idea based on a dream that I had. Once again, this is not exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm curious to see if it'll inspire anyone:
  
  This is based on a bizarre world that was most certainly Earth, but not really. It was polluted and barren to the point where plantlife had since non-existent. Humanity could no longer reproduce and future humans were synthesized through inanimate objects only. They mostly lived in artificial gardens where they roamed about in communal lifestyle without much privacy or individuality. There wasn't much of a society and some were to become airship pilots to find what life remained on the surface of their planet. The rest, meanwhile, was to watch over future generations.
  
  The main character of this dream was this kid who had the tendency to wander off often which eventually developed into his adult years. He was predetermined to never leave the hangar and raise future generations instead, but but he still insisted on seeing the outside world. He eventually finds another character who is pregnant in spite of the fact that it's impossible who joins his side along with a few other characters from around the hangar. There were three girls based on the primary colors too that tried to thwart the main characters, but the story ends with all of them leaving Earth to find that life colonized on another planet hundreds of years ago.

  A Roleplay that is developed on a song or playlist. I don't have any specific ideas in mind, but we can develop one together.

  A story that follows a detective who is trying to solve some sort of murder mystery. He or she is assisted by a psychic, a ghost, someone who has been accused of involvement, and a victim that had apparently survived their attack. What will become of them and is there a chance that any of them are hiding something?

  A crossover of some kind. I don't have many details for this one, but I'm sure that we can think of a setting together.
• I have zero interest in writing canonical characters shipped with your OCs, so please do not ask me for that. I would prefer to write OCs with most of these fandoms though I may possibly be open to AUs, rewrites, etc., for others. There is also a small chance that I would be willing to write canonical characters as backdrops as well. I have ideas and characters for some of these that I will share upon request. Please let me know if any of these interest you and we can go from there.
