A Bit About Me

So I'm pretty new to roleplaying but I hope that doesn't hinder you in reaching out to me. I have a good amount of experience when it comes to writing literature so I know how to make plot and develop character and so on but I can't say the same for the rules and writing style in roleplay, (Is it usually 1st person? 3rd person?, do we discuss plot beforehand or make it up as we go?, to what extent can we manipulate the world around our characters, etc.) I'm bound to make mistakes so I ask that you please be patient with me.

My name's Finley and I'm 23 if that even matters to you. My roleplay experience boils down to just a few instances with good friends of mine.

I should say that I have no problems writing long paragraphs since that seems to be one of the criteria for a good partner.

I am sadly limited to MxF when it comes to romance but if the relationship is completely platonic then I'm open to anything. I'm also fine with playing the female in a MxF.

I don't have a preferred character archetype that I like to play. I'd like to try out all sorts of roles. I don't mind OC's at all. I used to write a lot of OC fanfiction.

I just registered a few hours ago so what you see here is the extent of my BBcode skill after reading the beginner's guide. I hope it's alright if my posts aren't pretty.

I will always try to reply at the latest, the day after you post. But things happen and sometimes I'll get caught up in something. I'll do my best to inform you if I can't reply within the week.

Partner Preferences I don't expect much really. Just be patient with the dummy that is me and have fun.

If at some point you aren't enjoying our roleplay anymore then please don't be afraid to just say so. I promise not to take it personally.

I'm not sure how ooc meetings work in roleplay but I'd love to share ideas together. If you prefer voice chat I can do that too although I'm shy and I can't always vc because I live in a small home and besides lacking a decent mic, I also don't want to disturb my stressed out roommates.

No explicit romance though I believe it isn't allowed here so it might not matter anyway.

Interests My favorite genre would probably be good old fantasy. Knights, elves, dragons, demons, wizards, you get it. Doesn't have to be a grand adventure or anything, I just love the setting itself.

For some reason I'm always into the idea of two people just trying to survive in a ruined world filled with remnants of the past trying to kill them. Can be modern or sci-fi but I of course prefer fantasy for this.

Anything school related is probably of interest for me. Introvert x Extrovert is a guilty pleasure.

Big horror fan though I'm not exactly sure how a horror rp would pan out so I may need some help there.

I do love me some Hero x Villain pairings. The classic "save you from the darkness plot".

As much as they are frowned upon I actually enjoy anthropomorphic characters so don't be afraid to ask if you have this craving.

I'm also a sucker for those stories where a complete bad ass must escort a near helpless weakling through a world where a lot of forces want them dead. (I have no qualms about playing the weakling)

Fandoms I am by no means limited to these fandoms although they are my favorites and I would no doubt enjoy roleplays based off them. I'm open to original plots and stories too so if you think you have a good one then by all means run them by me.

There aren't any pairings because I'm pretty much open to anything MxF.

I can and will double if it's your preference but please know that it isn't necessary and I will be more than happy to play the canon character to your oc (or vice versa) without doubling. I care more for the overall story than who I'm playing.

Yo, welcome to rpnation my dude. To answer one of your questions above most people tend to do third person. Also most people don’t use vc for ooc, it’s normally handled by having a separate private message tab. I’d be down to rp with you. I tend to write about 2-3 paragraphs, I double, and play side characters as needed. I’d be down to do the hero x Villian, bnha, or rwby

Hey there, welcome to RPN! It's nice to have another family member with us. If you're still looking, I'd love to think up of something with you! I'm a veteran to RPing online, about twelve years of experience, but I'm extremely relaxed so if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask! Most people on here tend to RP in third person, past tense, and some of us like replies as little as a paragraph to people like me, who can splurge out twenty quite easily (though I tend to match my partners comfort level).

A lot of folks don't do voice chat on here in my experience, so I don't think you need to worry about that as much as you might me. Also, tons of people on here aren't too concerned with pretty coding. A lot are a bit like me and do minimal things: maybe center the text and choose a font, and that's about it. But you're doing a lovely job, that's a really pretty search thread!
