HELLO!!!
* Waves enthusiastically*

I love to stay busy. Crafts are my poison. So I'm looking for other creative people to bounce project ideas off of. Please, share your latest project. From cooking to coloring. Sawing to soap making. Let's get creative together!

Currently I've been making book covers for friends. A simple project to keep me entertained for a day or two.

What have you been crafting?

Made a new chainmail piece for a friend. Now she wants a chainmail belt/skirt to go with it.

A few models I painted for an acquaintance's board game. In the back right you see a dude wielding flails. Those were originally morning stars but I went to the local jeweler and told him what I wanted to do and the old dude just gave me a bunch of silver chain he had lying around so that I could modify the model. The horns on the helmet of the guy with the axe are also a customization that my acquaintance requested. I'm not great at it, but I like painting little models. <3

Ghosties. My buddy thinks the dark one is the best, but I like the light ones. What do you think?

Last picture. Dinosaurs. I couldn't bring myself to do them the same colour. Cute little fuckers.

Actually really love miniatures. I had a bunch of War of the Ring figures when I was a teenager, but my parents house was so cluttered I had literally no where to get them out and work on them. You did a great job imo (◠‿◠)

I do prefer the lighter ghost too.

I've been screwing around with painting models for years. Complicated ones with many colours can take a few hours. Simple ones like the ghosts that only have a couple colours don't take very long at all. As for the shading - I cheat by just dunking fully painted models in really thin black 'wash'. Makes them look gritty and dirty, but gives them a lot of depth they wouldn't otherwise have. It's really easy. I don't think it takes a lot of talent at all. :D Not like that chainmail shirt you made, which is incredibly cute by the way.

Thank you. I'm still learning how to do scales. The shirts can be quick to make if it's simple and one color. It's when you add multi colors or patterns that it takes forever. IF that black, purple, and silver one was one color then it would have been finished in a few hours to a day.
HAHA that's where you're wrong. I can't color to save my life. I think it takes lots of talent to paint well. Especially those minis!! I would go cross-eyed. So don't cut yourself short!

So cool. :33: And while the outfit gets a 0/10 for vital organ coverage, it gets a solid 10/10 for style. I wonder if it would look cooler with the skirt flipped 180 degrees? Might be easier to walk in with the part at the crotch instead of the butt as well.

🤔 are you talking about the color pattern being flipped?
I can craft just about anything but my eye for color is lacking. I'm always open to suggestions.

No I like the colours. You can't go wrong with black and purple. What I wonder is if it would look any cuter with the skirt part turned around so that the butt is in the front and the flappy bit is over the butt. I'll draw a picture!

Ah.
Well... It's possible. However that would be extremely exposed unless you had a skirt underneath it.

Yeah! Or poofy leggings. The whole outfit gives me a big Arabian knights vibe. I think it's the dangly bits that hang down from the top that does it.

Hi,
I know I'm a little late to the topic but...
I love to create and have dabbled in a lot of things over the years. I've recently gotten into crochet just before my mother died and made one of her teddy bears a scarf along with a little rabbit. Now I'm working on a project to make granny square blankets but it's two years in the making and still not anywhere near done LOL.
Over the years I've tried quilling, long and cross stitch, jewelry making and a few other things as I get bored after awhile. I've never tried painting much but am getting into drawing (though not very good at it) and as for Chain mail, it drove me nuts so really love the top that was shown.
Models are also something I would love to try one day If I could find ones that would go with another project I'm hoping to get to soon. A model stable for my horses.

OH you can crochet?? That's something I've been trying to learn but fail. I've never been good at it. I do have someone who is going to try and teach me how to net!
Sorry to hear about your mother.
Models? What do you mean?
I would love to see some of your projects. ^^ I think painting is hard myself.

My mother tried to teach me how to crochet for years but for some reason, I always had issue with pulling the yarn through...maybe it's because I'm a really tight stitched person. When she got sick I taught myself (having in the back of my head the basic stitches) and simply copied posts on YouTube which really helped.
I myself have never learned to knit and someday that might be my next project to master.
As for models, I collect horses toys, books, models like those of Schleich of Breyer.
When I finish some of my projects and find a camera I'll post them up I do have pic's of some of my jewelry I just have to find them LOL.
