Hi all! Thanks for taking a look at my thread. =)
First off, just a little about myself. I'm just about to turn 24 and living in London, England. I'm married and have a day job and am involved in a couple of basketball teams, so my posting would probably be a couple of times a day. Maybe a couple extra as I work with computers and so have regular access to the internet.
I'm looking for a partner or two to try and get a couple of casual rps going. It's been a while since I've RPed and am just trying to get back into it for a bit of fun and to try and improve my writing in general. I'm open to most plot ideas, although I tend away from fandom rps mostly because I'm generally not too knowledgeable about the source material.

Sci-fi and fantasy are both super interesting to me, but I'd be up for a modern or historical setting as well. I don't mind some gore and angst where it's appropriate, but prefer not to overdo it. I'm also happy to do romance, as any gender pairings, but likewise prefer to keep the sexy stuff within reasonable limits. I'm pretty rusty, so hoping to play with people who are patient and open to a little bit of a learning curve. My favourite part of roleplaying is getting to know the characters and having them interact and evolve over time and would love to play a plot where the two characters are teaming up to accomplish a goal or are thrown together for whatever reason. But again I'm happy to try out and discuss different plots (or situations if you want something really short). Typical cliche'd story settings are perfectly fine with me, as they can be a lot of fun if the characters are unique. But if you're looking for someone to get super excited with you while you try out that new character idea or look at building this brand new, detailed world you had an idea for, I'm up for that too!
So, if you're new to the site and looking for a low pressure way to get started or if you're an experienced roleplayer looking to try things out or to just have some fun in a relaxed environment (or anything in between!), chuck me a PM or comment on here! As a new member I still need to post a bit more to get access to PMs, but will be there soonish. I don't know how to do the tabs yet, but I'll get there too!
OOC chat is also super cool with me, as getting to the know the rpers can be as much fun as getting to the know the characters. =)
