worldbuilding appreciator
hello everyone, my name is gabe/niu and i am a 24 year old college student, pronouns he/him. i used to roleplay a lot when i was a teenager and have only recently gotten back into it. i enjoy oc roleplays in an original world (preferably not the future of our current universe either unless it's quite far out). i would prefer to rp on discord because i find discord servers make it easy to keep things organized but i am okay with rping on here too! also, i am not really into faceclaims - i dont mind if you use them but i probably will not. very possible that ill get a commission of my character's design if we rp for a bit though 
i like exploring themes of the intersection of disability with advanced technology in a lot of different ways lately i am also really interested in exploring religious themes in science fiction (if you've read chasm city, i like the idea of the religion data-virus from there, or dan simmons' hyperion on catholicism)! sometimes i find body horror interesting but not in the sense of torture, more like the movie/book "annihilation" and the rest of the southern reach series, or the infestation from warframe (i am a huge warframe player, lr2 with thousands of hours lol)
romance is not necessary for me but i am okay with it, although i am primarily interested in things that are not mxf! (nonbinary characters welcome!) i prefer to write in 3rd person past tense, with replies being 1-3 paragraphs (i use standard capitalization, etc when rping, but usually type like this ooc). i like worldbuilding in my rps before starting them, but that doesn't mean determining absolutely everything about a universe before starting it - just some parts, and then we can figure out the rest along the way! the worst part is naming things lol.

ideas:
- cyberpunk/capitalism in decay universe - how do people with conditions that require medication regularly cope with this?
- spaceship AIs being a fusion of a person's body/brain and a computer (biotech in general!)
- general space exploration (maybe something with time distortion like in interstellar?)
- generation ship politics... maybe a generation ship that gets set off course and is slowly running out of fuel like in aniara (i don't know if there would be a happy ending to this one lol)
