Looking for new partners

Hello. I've been playing RPGs since I was young, mostly table top, later turning to video games. Recently, within the past few years, I've turned to writing. I find it enjoyable to drop all of the rules and just create a story without having to worry about all of the messy numbers.


Here's a few things about me:

• The amount I can post varies from day to day because of my work. Some days I can post all day, others I might not be able to post at all.
  
• I tend not to measure posts, and I expect the same from my partners. That doesn't mean I accept sloppy posts that only measure 3 sentences. I only mean that I don't measure a persons ability by how much they write. I've met many people who can write a whole page full of crap. Quality over quantity.
  
• I enjoy talking about our story as much as I do posting. I believe that the RP should be discussed in detail, no surprises or secrets. They tend to ruin RPs in my opinion, and I like to be honest and open with my partner.
  
• Fantasy is a big thing for me though I do love other settings such as Modern and Futuristic. Post apoc is also pretty fun. In other words, if you have any idea fly it by me. I'm pretty much open to all sorts of stuff!
  
• I'm fine with romance, though I tend to let it take a back seat to the real story. Also, not all of my stories have to involve violence but they have to at least involve drama of some sort. If not in the form of physical conflict then it must be in the form of mental or emotional conflict. A balance is always best, though I'm pretty open on how much of each we have.
  
• Please do not come to me with characters based around anime cliches. I will call you out on it. I love animes (certain ones) but if you show up with a profile that practically screams "I love Naruto and Pokemon! Gaahhh!", then I'm done. Not to say that those types of animes are bad, I just believe they're better left out my RPs
  
• To go along with the above post, I enjoy my RPs adult. No holding back on the tortures our characters may go through. The violent acts they may experience or do themselves. If you're not ok with doing a scene then just tell me, I'm ok with it, but I do prefer to act everything out as it makes a better story. Any scenes not ok with site rules can either be skipped, or played privately off site.
  
• I don't like vampires, werewolves, or any overused cliches like that. If you want to play something having to do with this, or a character based around anything like this, it has to be very good. I can be extremely picky when it comes to this type of stuff.
  

I can be very picky when taking partners, so don't be angered if I don't accept your character or ideas.

@Scarlightning What you have laid out on the table so far seems pretty intriguing.. although, I still have no idea what sort of RP exactly you're looking for other than what you have stated; I suppose that's the point of discussing over things before one fully commits right?


Anyways, if you're still looking for a RP-er, I'm in! I must give you a heads-up though, I'm more of a slow but steady RP-er. i.e. a post a week thereabouts. Unless, the situation permits short conversational posts.. then that frequency would likely increase.

Talking.. sounds good =) I do almost about anything but like you, fantasy in most of its forms as well as futuristic, post apocalyptic or a combination of all three would suit my palate most. Most of the time, I usually work with a set story background (whether mine or others) before we discuss details. So.. building from scratch with another is quite new to me, but it sounds interesting.

This one's quite dear to me, cause it really was something that I came out with, with minimal outside influence if I may say so myself! 
We could use the on-site PM system. I like to keep my RP stuff strictly confined to the RP vicinity, sorry. I'm on a really old computer anyways, like old. It's barely keeping up with my typing, and I don't type that fast (my usual com's missing its adapter). So the PM should work just fine, if you're okay with it? 
I don't have skype actually, but I dont mind creating an account solely to make discussions easier.. However, that would only be sometime in the future, when i get my com back. This current one would bleed, protest and cry.. just before giving me its blank blue-screen stare. Oh well..
