Welcome!

Hiya guys, my name's cynefin, and thanks for clicking! As the title states, right now I'm really digging the idea of an anime or anime-based roleplay (thanks to My Hero Academia lmfaoo). I have a couple of loose ideas that we could mess around with and maybe build upon or, hell, we could even just right into the mix :> I also have a couple of anime fandoms that sound pretty groovy to roleplay with, and I think it'd be especially fun to build up some OCs and their relationships in said world. But if you have any alternate suggestions, feel free to let me know!! (;

Some boring Preferences

꙳ More than anything, I must say that detailed posts are a huge must-have for me. i mean, i totally won't be expecting a monstrous post that'll take me a good twenty minutes to read [but if that's what you wanna do then aye, you do you boo]. a good couple of paragraphs filled with juicy detail - a medley of thoughts, scents, sights, and actions and - well...I'd be one happy camper :">

꙳ Another big thing that I look for in a partner is their willingness and enthusiasm to participate. Personally, one of my favorite things about roleplaying is the beginning stages of planning. The sharing of concept art, getting all excited and sharing music, and freely sharing ideas. If you're not getting excited let me know, and we'll try fix things c;

꙳ please be understanding — unfortunately, i have issues with my mental health which can cause me to rise into days and weeks of bursting motivation and creativity, and then dip into bouts of disinterest in just about everything. so while i'm trying to fix this, i would love if you'd be patient and relaxed as we go through this lovely roleplaying process!!



The Fun Stuff! ​

꙳ The first idea is a mixture of slice of life and fantasy. I imagine it would take place in a city that has a mixture of rural aspects and city aspects. Not exactly a hub like Tokyo, but not exactly the farmlands of Shizuoka. So...average I guess? The main characters would be two students in high school that struggle with your everyday drama — exams are coming up?! shit, let's get a study group together! This girl/guy keeps smiling at me from across the cafeteria...sh-should I say hi??? Club fair is coming up...should I choose the one with my friends, or the one I'm actually interested in?? Y'know, the usual run-o-the-mill teenage struggles. Our characters are in the same friend group, a group of friends that have been together since, perhaps, the beginning of time. Everyone is pretty much an open book, everyone knows eachother's parents, been to eachother's houses — even gone on vacations with eachother! All of them, except for character A. She lives 'somewhere deep in the rural part of town' and her folks don't like people visiting because her younger brother is 'sickly' and they don't want anyone disturbing him. No one really knows what her parents do for a living, and at this point no one's bothered to ask. So life goes on. However, the group(especially character B) starts noticing that A isn't hanging out on the weekends and after class as much. She's stopped answering her phone as much. She's grown a bit distant, not her usual chatty self. Bruises start appearing on her arms. They try to confront her, but she brushed it off. Finally fed up with it all, B decides to follow her home one day, through the rolling hills of the countryside. But it's growing dark, and he's losing sight of her. The night envelopes him. And then he hears it. The screeches or something inhuman, the flashing of multicolored lights, and A — her dark silhouette crouched and ready to strike a hideous beast prowling before her.

꙳ This one is a lot more slice of life and perhaps a lot more romance-oriented?? I definitely don't have as many ideas but we could always stick to the fun little cliches like delinquent x good girl, apathetic boy/girl x ardent girl/boy, closeted girl x openly gay girl, rival club members, best friend x best friend, bully x victim, love triangle etc etc. I'm down for pretty much anything!
