Monster Madness
Since the last site I was on is kind of a hollowed-out ghost town, decided to try here.
Hello! I tend not to play humans, or other regular beings, and, to get to the point, I tend to enjoy playing creatures and other oddities, with morality in the moral grays, in darker or brighter shades. Not really the type to feel it if doing starkly evil. I'll present now a few examples of various characters I have played, and wouldn't mind at all playing:
There is the shapeshifting Bellatroix, who amalgamates everything she consumes into her flesh, evolving and growing from it, but desires more purpose in her life than that. I refer to her as a "Flesh-Weaver," and has over the years become a living record of creatures that exist, or have existed in the past. Her uniqueness, however, has left her with no species of her own, nothing to really relate to physically, nor a legacy, and ultimately longs for relation of any kind, and possesses a maternal adoration of children of any kind. Though very intelligent, can be naive towards some human/mortal concepts... like personal space.
There's the necromancer-like artificial eldritch being, Bashemath, who is obsessed with the preservation of sapient life. While she appears to have a humanoid body, her skin is gray, and she has a number of tentacles that run from the back of her head down to the base of her spine, 10 in total, like a squid. Her blood is an inky black substance that evaporates briefly after being exposed to the air, and is in the fact the very essence of her true being. She possesses the ability to reanimate cadavers, filling them with her black ichor in place of blood and restoring life and warmth to the body, at the cost that they are basically just an extension of Bashemath at that point, and are no longer the same person, even if she imitates their mannerisms and restores some memories, there is also deformations as well, with black tendrils jutting from the back, black sclera, and sometimes dripping the inky substance from the eyes. These are referred to as her "avatars." With animals, however, sometimes, unlike more advanced being bodies, they gain sapience and autonomy for reasons she has yet to understand. She's kinda creepy, but not a lot of aggression as much as... overbearing. She lacks a number of human psychological traits, including the ability to lie, to become angry, and lacks an intent to kill. One of her signature traits is black sclera, as well as "S" shaped pupils that dilate into an 8 shape when excited.
Or there is Editus Rayne, who's true form is something akin to a giant winged dragon covered in black feathers, who has grown cynical and detached, having known hatred since his birth.Tends to be more provoking than really brooding, he doesn't care much for brooding. He has a trait of "burning" the magic around him creating ghostly blue fire around him and in his surroundings, especially when agitated. He's one of my most aggressive and intimidating characters, and a newer one, but but not exactly evil, harboring instead several lifetimes worth of negative experiences.
There is the many-armed phantasmic creature, Eurydice Reverence, who appears as a young woman with long black hair and, contrary to the typical trope, actually has a normally warm, yet disconnected and emotionally stunted cheerful demeanor. Any aggression and harm isn't intentional, or isn't directed unless provoked in some way. Brighter gray here.
Played Mr. Betelgeuse Grimms, a hulking greedy energy being in an armor suit that acts as a reactor for the benefit of others, and over that shell he is dressed in a large business suit, equip with tie. Despite great strength, he has a far more pacified demeanor, with a value of intimidation over violence. Typically he's an information broker. He's named after the red supergianygiant star, rather than a certain crude rude ghost in a pinstripe suit.
Finally I have more sci-fi, like Viktoriya, who is a very large artificial chimera created from twin sisters blended in with a variety of beasts, predominantly wolf-like. Was made to endure extreme climates and conditions, have great strength and speed, while having intelligence and ingenuity to carry out their mission at the complexity an animal could not be trained for. Though somewhat suppressed, retains human thoughts and reason, and can even talk a bit, though it kinda drags and isn't exactly pleasant to the ears. Can generate a burst shriek to disorient people and damage equipment/walls.
On the brighter side, less serious side, there's Luci Sue Ruviae, who is a strange long-tailed giant (around 7'6") ginger rabbit-like creature with the ability to project illusions (think kind of like Kali from Stranger Things) including maintaining a human appearance. Presents herself as a magician, is skilled in psychic illusion and masking, as well as athletic and skilled parkour. Has an upbeat attitude and has an oral fixation, especially with things that are sweet. While not generally violent at all, when defending herself she uses a kind of burst of energy from her hands or mouth (including accidents with sneezing), with a kinetic effect like a powerful shove, than a burn.
And there is Yamir, a shadowy being composed of aether/life energy, and despite looking more like a villain, is obsessed with being a superhero, usually with a humanoid body and burning features that change color based on mood and intensity. Very upbeat and charismatic.
These are just some examples of what I play. Sorry, I dragged on for quite a bit, bad habit of pride, just trying to drive the point, and... maybe feeling like playing a few of these again. Especially Bellatroix and Bashemath who have become a bit of favorites of mine.
