So I'm brand new to this site, and thus need someone to help me get started with a role play. I'm more comfortable with 1x1 role plays, as I find that they're more manageable for me and easier to keep up with. I really like mythology, apocalyptic, and monster RPs, as well as the occasional slice of life.
What I prefer:
- I want someone who is literate. I cannot even begin to express how irritating it is for me to see college students using the wrong there and your, as well as using loose instead of lose or vice versa. I don't expect you to talk like you have a PhD and teach English at a college, but I do expect you to use proper grammar.
- I will match you in terms of post length, but I hope you are capable of sticking to at least 2-3 paragraphs per post. However, I will say now that you should not expect me to respond to a 7+ paragraph post with equal length, as I do not care to type essays every single post. Five paragraphs max for me.
- Please be involved in the role play and willing to contribute. I hate it when I'm doing a 1x1 and the other person doesn't do anything to contribute to the story. Role playing is like a collaborative effort between two people to make a story. If you have ideas or are getting bored, please tell me.
- I check this site pretty frequently. I would like someone who is capable of posting at least every couple of days. If I have to wait 4+ days for a response, I often come to tire of the slow pace and will lose interest.
My plot ideas:
Fandom ~ Character A and Character B are both demigods. Character A and Character B both hate each other, with Character A indirectly responsible for the death of Character B's twin. Character B accused A of murder, which of course lead to A's hatred of them because of the false accusation and the hatred of the camp it brought with it. A was shunned by the camp following the death of B's brother, resulting in A becoming bitter and introverted. When A is assigned to go on a quest with B, they are forced to cooperate for a mission that may change everything- for better or worse. (Percy Jackson fandom)
Original ~ Inspired by Fear the Walking Dead. Character A is a traveling businessman. He is in Florida for a business meeting when the apocalypse strikes, leaving him separated from his Pennsylvanian family. He meets B at a refugee camp, and together they escape. A sets off to find his family, while B tags along as their family was killed during the outbreak.
Original ~ A must serve six months of probation, and B is A's probation officer. A believes themselves to be innocent of the crime of which they were convicted, while B believes them to be guilty. A sets out to win B's trust and convince them of their innocence, but B isn't exactly a pushover.
I'm also open to suggestions.
