- I'm pretty versatile when it comes to roleplaying. That said, I'm versatile in the genres I do. Fantasy, Sci-fi, modern, horror, romance, action, a lot more. I'm a bonafide renaissance roleplayer so if you've got an idea, I'm more than eager to hear it out, shoot my own ideas towards that idea and build something together! Or we can just go with the flow with one or the other. The one thing I'm not versatile about is romances. If it doesn't feel right, it may ruin my flow altogether. I can play multiple characters.
My mindset for roleplaying is that these are characters, and just that. What I want is and shall not reflect what they do and what they are as people. I won't create some grand scheme that involves characters doing certain things to go along a certain plot. I always just lay down some type of skeleton plot and go off from there. Whether we build more onto it or just go is entirely up to you.
I post a minimum of a five sentence paragraph and if you ask for a maximum, you're not going to get one. I can post as much or as little as you want me to. I guarantee it. If you ask for a word count minimum, I will go on a word counter to make sure I meet your prerequisite. I will work with and for anyone that puts the time and effort into this art. However, as much as roleplaying is an art, to each their own and I respect this. Others escape with roleplaying, and sometimes, I do as well.
If there's anything we can or should talk about, then by all means, let's talk! If you want small talk or just casual conversation on the side, then by all means, let's go for it! Although, I humbly request separate PMs for RP and OOC chats. It's easier to follow for me and I utterly appreciate organization. As seen from this thread. Much organization. And for future reference, yes. This will and is copy pasted into any PMs concerning RPs. As you can see, I'm A Very Lazy Man. - If you want to mix any of my plots with ideas of your own, feel free to do so. If you want me to play Canon characters only, leave now. I am not limited to what I've posted on this thread in terms of plots, characters, or pairings. If its an idea based on the genres I've listed, I'm more than willing to listen. If its not part of the genres I've listed, hook me onto it and I'll listen.
Most of the time, I will play Males. If the plot if interesting enough, I can play F/F. I won't be romancing in M/M. Looking for Romance! - An RP where a video game is part of the plot OR part of one of the character's backstory. The game does not have to be a focal point for the RP. How much the game impacts and affects the RP is entirely up to discussion. I want to see the growth of characters bonding through the game and/or realizing that they have a chance at making something out of what they love to do, what they are passionate about.
Example for Plots: Character A and B play in a virtual reality game. In this case, the RP is centered around the game.
Conversely, Character and B find themselves in a different world. Except they all have status screens similar to an RPG. In this case, the RP is just a fantasy world with game elements.
Character A is a e-sports champion/professional video game player who is retired. In this case, the RP can be about Character A settling down and finding a new life. There is little to no mention about the game other than the character's backstory, so it won't play a pivotal part of the RP.
Example for Character Backstories: Character A streams video games for income. In this case, the game may or may not be a pivotal part about the RP. Perhaps Character A has a roommate that doesn't play video games at all.
- The King's Avatar; Log Horizon; Sword Art Online; Recovery of an MMO Junkie
- Bold is who I would like to play as, but not enforced. The flavor text is just that. I'm just providing options and ideas to spark your noggin if you want to go beyond the pairing and dive into a plot.
ProfessionalxStreamer/Other
-My character could be retired and arrives as a roommate? Or your character arrives as a roommate? Maybe my character hires someone to help out with the chores?
StreamerxStreamer/Other
-One could be making it big as a streamer while the other one is struggling?
PopularxUnpopular
-My character is a video game streamer in a sports-oriented high school
New PlayerxNew Player
-Could be based on a fandom or something
OtherworlderxNative
-The otherworlder comes from another world who has more potential than most
OtherworlderxOtherworlder
GuildmatexGuildmate
-It's the first time the guild mates meet up!
Beyond this point is a setting tailored to this RP in mind. It is only an option that you can take.Immortalis- This RP will revolve around a Sandbox game called Immortalis. Think of it as a High Fantasy/Science Fantasy world rather than a game if you're unfamiliar with the idea. The RP will take place with Immortalis as the most popular game in the world. There will be more information in the following tabs but you will find a short introduction here. The game can be a traditional keyboard/mouse game or a virtual reality game. Also note that the world of Immortalis can be transferred over to the High Fantasy section.
The game is essentially a second life taking place in a world where magic and science collide. Magic and technology are at each other's throats. What you can do in real life, you can imitate in the game. Arts and crafts like cooking, painting, sewing and etc. are "Life Skills" players can invest in and master. Players are separated into two unofficial types: Artisans and Soldiers. Players under the Artisans category play Immortalis who spend most of their time into "Life Skills", the crafting portion of the game. Soldiers, as the name suggests, are the players who spend most of their time in Player versus Environment or Player versus Player combat, the ones taking up extermination quests or battling against their respective enemy factions.
Every winter, a worldwide tournament known as the Ascendancy takes place. Here guilds can fight over the title of Immortals, where they will be recognized as the best guild in the game. Professional teams have their own guilds and professional players are given contracts to fight for the championship title. There are no benefits to becoming a champion other than pure bragging rights but with fame comes fans. With fans come wealth. - The world is split between three parts: The Nation of the Reinbart Empire, the Nation of the Levein Technocracy, and the Wildlands. Each territory is ruled by a different set of laws and rules.
The Reinbart Empire is the home of magic and fantasy. It is an aristocratic empire lead by Emperor Reinbart, the Archmage. By using magic to compensate for the lack of modern technology, much of their territory is actually floating islands the sea. The infrastructure use magic stones gathered from monsters in the Wildlands to supply daily necessities. Monster hunting is a necessity for Reinbart's survival. Reinbart's citizens are proud of their heritage and magic. They consider Levein's way of life to be tactless, where the value of a person is no different than that of a cog in a great machine.
The Levein Technocracy is founded on modern technology and culture. A democratic leadership headed by several different nation leaders known as the United Council. Trains, cars, planes. Much of life's modern existence can be found in the Levein territories. They consider Levein's way of life to be crude, a struggle for their dependence on magic crystals.
The Wildlands are uncharted, dangerous regions between the two nations. Players often build their own kingdoms in order to create a culture of their own. A land of freedom and a land of death. The Wildlands is a place without rules and law. If there are any rules, they are enforced by the players rather than the game. Untamed monsters, respawning dungeons, and ruins litter the landscape. - Players cannot build in either the Reinbart Empire or the Levein Technocracy, but they can build to their hearts content in the Wildlands. They can create a nation known as 'City-States' large and strong enough to rival the two nations. Officially, this can start a war between the player-made faction and either Reinbart or Levein, and sometimes even both. Players can hire and recruit NPCs to serve as guards, soldiers, and shopkeepers to improve their land's economies. Leaders of these 'City-States' can engage in diplomatic actions to sign peace treaties, non-aggression pacts, or trade pacts with other City-States and the Nations of Immortalis. Players can also build under the banner of the Nations of Reinbart or Levein in exchange for taxes.
Players can also build as small as they want. From a hut to a large mansion rather than a big-scale project such as a City-State. Since the property isn't considered a City-State, the two Nations will not behave towards these small properties in any shape or form. However, these properties still need to be protected from players and local fauna. - The actions of the player will reflect on other NPCs and the Nations of Immortalis as a whole. A player caught in committing murders in the territories of Levein or Reinbart will receive a bounty and negative reputation. A bad reputation may prevent a player from entering certain shops, accessing certain quests, or even entering the Nations altogether. Likewise, an upstanding reputation with one Nation will upset the other.
Life skills can also reflect on other NPCs, unlocking new crafting quests. Private contracts may be sent to players from the Nations, allowing them a steady flow of resources as long as they uphold the terms and agreements of the contract. A player specializing in life skills is just as important as a player specializing in combat.
Players can even become key members of a Nation, from achieving a title of Nobility from Reinbart or having their own seat in the United Council. They can influence the Nation in their own way, as long as they respect the Nation's laws, rules, and culture. A player will never expect to laws or agendas that don't fit the Nation, such as Reinbart using Levein's technology haphazardly. - The Ascendancy in short, is Immortalis's professional circuit. Players are further split between Mortals and Ascendants. Mortals are characters that do not participate in the championship tournament known as the Ascendancy. Ascendant characters are characters bound to a person like an ID card. Obtaining an Ascendancy card is no different than obtaining a government ID. Only one can be issued per person. Once these players have their cards, their character details are listed onto a public database where guilds and teams can contract players to join them. Only the best can expect a monetized contract while the rest are paid for with in-game materials or currency.
The tournament format follows the top 24 teams of the year during the Winter. Throughout the year every weekend, teams fight in three rounds of 3 1v1 bouts, 1 3v3 bouts, and a team-based 5v5 bout for a total of up to 11 points per match. The 24 teams with the most points attend the Ascendancy Winter Tournament, where they follow the same format point system between them all. 8 teams are picked from the 24 to fight in an 8 man tournament bracket. - These are characters who I will play. One or multiple may show up.
- For ten years, ever since the launch of Immortality, one name has dominated the minds of every player: Universalis. A player that has truly earned the community, and eventually, the game-given title of 'First Immortal'. Praised as the Living Guidebook, there was nothing this player couldn't conquer. When the Ascendancy tournament took the world by storm, Universalis came along with it. Joining as captain for a team called "The Eternal Crusade", Universalis has battled their way as Champion for three consecutive years. Earning the title of MVP for every year of the Ascendancy, the First Immortal has a special place in every player's heart.
Of course, all good things come to an end. In the recent years, the team's performance had been declining. Still receiving the title of MVP, the team had failed time and time again to achieve even a playoff standing. Now, at the announcement of Immortality's pattern of a two-year "clean-slate", otherwise a server wipe, it was announced that due to health reasons, Universalis would retire but the character would remain.
What's more, no one but "The Eternal Crusade" knows who Universalis is. There were many theories for the retirement. Many claimed that it was the team's fault that they couldn't perform to championship standard and as a result, Universalis would be finding another team. Others claimed Universalis was becoming too old and that there was another successor. However, one fact remained above all else: Universalis had an unrivaled, inextinguishable love and passion for Immortality. Retirement wouldn't be the end of the Immortal player behind Universalis. - It wasn't community law but a game mechanic that "good equipment came from playing, but the best equipment came from crafting." There were two types of players in Immortality, but both had their proper respects. There were players that ran dungeons, killed monsters, repeated quests for their income and enjoyment. The rest toiled away in the farms, on the anvils, in the forges, in the bakeries. The Soldiers and the Artisan, the two playstyles were called. If Universalis (The One True Immortal) was the Immortal Soldier, then Godhand was the Immortal Artisan. Where Universalis conquered all, Godhand crafted the tools needed for Universalis to purge the world of their enemies.
Of all the items in the game, those with the description: Crafted by Godhand were the most expensive, and not out of aesthetic reasons. These boasted the highest stats in the game and not only that, but were highly specialized for specific styles of gameplay. If one was looking for a weapon of choice, they would go no further than Godhand, assuming they could afford it. Also known as the "Freemason", Godhand offered services for free... so long as one had the ingredients the Immortal Artisan requested. He was a fountain of knowledge but shared none of it. With every new patch came new items, which came new combinations. Godhand, among many other players hoping to topple the Immortal from his pedestal, would be in a race against time to find out new recipes. But no matter who claimed the recipe first, it was Godhand who perfected it.
For Godhand, there wasn't anything like the Ascendancy for crafting. Why should there be when the market existed for this purpose? However, it didn't change the fact that professional teams and guilds alike wanted to recruit this Immortal but they were refused by the bulk. With Universalis no longer the same player, Godhand seemed to follow suit, disappearing from the market altogether.

- An RP where multiple races like Elves, Dwarves, demons, and goblins exist. Magic and myth are all up for grabs. Bold* is who I would like to play
- Nobility*xCommoner*
-Requires an interesting plot, doesn't have to be original
Exiled Knight*xRoyalty*
-Doesn't require much of a plot.
-Example plot would be Character K is exiled for romancing Character R. Later, K returns under service of Character P who is arranged to marry Character K
Vampire*xHuman
-I'll say this now: I'm not going to play a dominant, abusive Vampire without building a proper backstory and background first.
Vampire*xWerewolf*
-I'll play a dominant, abusive of either if its within reason. Like hatred born from trauma.
Vampire Hunter*xVampire
-I enjoy romances with this pairing
Royal*xRoyal*
-Reluctant arranged marriage anyone? - He was raised to be nothing more than rabble, a pawn of a necromancer's schemes. Yet he became an anomaly. His brethren were born to be puppets controlled by a string. But not him. He gained sentience, thought. He retained all of his skills from his life before but none of his memories. Unlike his brethren, he was not bound by oath or spell to exist. The King of Death, he was called. A title forged from the irony of surpassing the master who summoned him. For hundreds of years, he reigned as a dungeon lord that crushed the lives of many adventurers seeking the items and wealth that was hoarded in his dungeon. Until one fateful day, he met his end.
Yet once again, he awoke under the false bindings of undeath. Every life spent was another cycle in his timeless immortality without a single shred of memory to realize the curse and unrest he had brought upon himself during his first life time, back when he had flesh and blood. He had obtained his wish of immortality, bent the universe to his will for just one moment before it backlashed in an unexpected way. He would be risen, time and time again through necromancy. He would be cursed to a life of temporary servitude, never knowing the meaning of peace in the afterlife. Only restlessness, a constant weariness.
(He rises to serve another master, but who is his new master? Is it a man or a woman? Will be an instrument of unholy wrath or a tool? Will he ever be free of the punishment for his hubris in obtaining the immortality he fervently sought in his one fleeting moment of life? But most importantly, will he ever realize his punishment?)
I put the last part in parentheses just for a more open approach. Maybe we start an RP where he's past the point of serving a master and has gained independence and individuality. Regardless, he's someone that is lacking a moral compass and is plagued with restlessness that puts him on the brink of insanity. - My character and your character have lived in the same place for many years. Whether its in the same village, same orphanage, same city, same caste. They have been childhood friends and were often seen as inseparable friends. However, there was one different that was night and day. Your character has always accelerated to greatness. Anything they took focus and concentrated to, they took to extraordinary heights. Your character is the genius, the master, the prodigy. Mine? A weak boy born to do nothing but wallow in anyone's shadow. Physique? Too weak. Intelligence? Far too average.
One day, something terrible happens that puts my characters life in ultimate risk. His body recovers but his mind is lost to a coma. Now, it's several years after the incident and after so long, his eyes open. However, something is different that no one but your character sees. There was no longer the eyes of a boy who was all too willing to be in your shadow. There was no longer the eyes of someone that accepted his fate as being nothing more than average. Instead, there was the eyes of someone else. Someone who was lost, confused. Not someone that woke up in a coma, but someone that doesn't know who he is... or why he looks the way he does.
The truth of it all? It is in fact someone else. Someone that is reincarnated into his body with all the memories of that person's past, and none of the friend your character once knew. There is the look of confusion but most of all, divine vengeance.
We can discuss more details about this. The main points are really that our characters are really good friends, and my character enters a coma and wakes up as literally someone else. We can even switch around the roles of who achieves greatness. However, there is one thing I will ask of you. I will not be controlling the personality of the my character before the coma. Just imagine my character before the coma as having a personality you created. The main selling point is that your character WILL and DOES find out that their friend is not at all the same person they once knew.

- Nobility*xCommoner*
- Either spin-offs, original, or canon RPs of the Elder Scrolls or Fallout franchise. I will only play original characters as my main character, but may play certain canon character as side characters. I will not main Canon characters.
tl;dr - Playing around with NCR corruption is fun. Being a Ranger also fun. Being a Ranger who deserted is pretty great. I won't play a member of Caesar's Legion. I won't play a member of Maxson's Brotherhood of Steel. I'm largely independent of factions.
I am more familiar with Fallout Lore than I am with Elder Scrolls Lore. I'm a bigger fan of the Desert Rangers before they were assimilated into the NCR. Fuck Caesar's Legion because once Caesar falls, chaos within the ranks will follow suit and it will take a while to reform the ranks into a new Legion, and also Caesar is the only one that looks at talent. On the note, fuck the NCR too and its inefficient bureaucracy which is worse than the States, its madhouse corruption, and those stuck up Brahim Barons. The Vegas Strip is great as independents or with Mr. House. Midwest Brotherhood is my home. I don't care if they aren't canon. That armor beats T-60 any day. Also, I prefer the Midwest when it has Ghouls, Super Mutants, and Deathclaws in their ranks. Go home Maxson's Brotherhood of Steel, come back Lyon's Brotherhood of Steel. The Institute are a bunch of sociopaths while the leaders are psychopaths, except Dr. Madison Lee. The Minutemen are the only things worth a damn. The Railroad are a little interesting. There's a love/hate relationship with the Enclave. The Pitt was a great DLC. New Vegas has the best stories and music. I ain't never going anywhere without my Big Iron. You now know everything you need to consider making a Fallout Plot with me.
As for Elder Scrolls... There's dragons. There's magic. And you're always a prisoner? Mehrunes Dagon got fucked up by the last Septim who turned into a Dragon. That fanboy needs to die in every playthrough of Oblivion. And apparently a real master in Alteration can turn giants into cupcakes on a whim? That's about all I know when it comes to indepth knowledge.
I have at least 1000 hours in New Vegas and I completed every route, every sidequest. I also played the Dust mod. 300 in Fallout 4 and I didn't pay attention to the story. Maybe 100 on Oblivion since I was a plebian teenager who didn't have a computer. 200 on Skyrim and I didn't pay attention to the story. Big difference in what I know for Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
- I repeat. Bold* are who I prefer to play as but not enforced.
Bold* is who I would prefer to play, but not enforcing it if its interesting enough.
RangerxRaider
-A deserter is hunted down by the NCR and is picked up by Raiders.
PaladinxRaider
-Exiled and far from home, a Paladin is in doubt and a Raider leader takes them in.
RaiderxRaider
-Raider gangs have joined together in a giant, loosely led coalition to terrorize the nearby lands
WandererxOther
-What other options could there be? A lot.
- I repeat. Bold* are who I prefer to play as but not enforced.
- Intergalactic fleets, space colonization, migrant fleets. The Mass Effect franchise, the Macross franchise, the Gundam franchise. Explosions, star travel. Bold* is who I would prefer to play, but not enforcing it if its interesting enough. Again, flavor text is for plot building. Not a requirement.
- Fighter PilotxOther
-VF pilot and a Songstress pairing anyone?
HumanxHumanoid Alien
-Humans meet the last of a dying, endangered race.
-Humans meet aliens running away from certain death.
- Fighter PilotxOther
- This is where things I don't know what to categorize in goes or where inspiration just hits like a truck.
- It was one night. Just one. Why we did it, it was up to us to make a reason. Whether we said our goodbyes or just left without a word. One night.... So why are we back here? Why are we seeing each other again? If anyone found out now, our lives would be ruined forever.
Vague, yes. Because I don't want to put things down to a T... is how I think the saying goes. Drama, love, broken hearts. It's my first time asking for something like this. What am I looking for? Here's an example. Character A and Character B have a one night stand, no strings attached. Their parents end up remarrying and Character A and Character B finds themselves as step-siblings. Another example. Character A and Character B are instead members of royalty, but one of them is arranged to marry someone else. I could go on and on. But the premise is that one night comes back to characters.
What makes me want to do something like this? I recently read a modern fiction about Character A and Character B that had a one night stand just for the hell of it. Later on, their single parents married and they became step-siblings. Except Character A has feelings for Character C, Character B's older sister. At first, I was skeptical. I put the book down for a few days. Then I picked it back up. It became more than that. The struggle of love and morality, the dreams to chase one's career and the risk of losing it all because of one's personal feelings, the feelings of picking up the pieces of a broken dream, the conflict between friends who suddenly became love rivals, the desire to choose between sacrifice and happiness of oneself or that of someone else.
This desire may be fleeting. It may not be here tomorrow or when I wake up. But hopefully that desire will still be there tomorrow or when I wake up. Maybe I'm asking too much for an RP partner that can strike a chord. Maybe it's impossible to find someone I can bounce off of. I'm going to try anyway because impossibility is guaranteed when you don't even try.
RPNation rules apply, as always.
