Fandom Looking for a GM for a Cyberpunk 2077 Game

Alternate Tides

Take my left and my right
Basically, it'll be set in 2077 of the Cyberpunk universe, and I'll be the player playing as a corporate enforcer with a long family history of serving Arasaka. Things seem to be going well, however, there is some internal conflict within the player character in how he finds hope in the people of Night City, and the wider world in general. Pretty much, his development will center around him trying to find worth in the filth of Night City, and who knows, he might even find it?

It was a nice few months. Not much business— not "biz," he never liked using the terminology of the people below the tower of Arasaka. Yet, even within the tower, he found filth and corruption within the souls of those that he were his "colleagues." He didn't know why his family didn't just hop on one of those colonization ships going to outer space, what with all the filth that he could see around him. But despite all that hatred deep inside him, he still wanted to see if people were worth it. The man didn't want to admit it of course, but it was something inside of him that he couldn't ignore.

Back to business: it turns out that there is some high-priority target that has just entered the premises of Night City. He was a lowly grunt, so he barely had any autonomy to go to frivolous things such as vacations, but he was one of the muscle sent out to find this girl that the suits were all going crazy over. Apparently, she had some sort of cyberware compatibility on the level of Smasher if rumors are to be believed— something about the genetics of her body and mind allowing that sort of thing. He didn't care about it of course, because at the end of the day, he was someone that wanted to meet ends and get a paycheck.

But yet again, there was that hope inside of him, that childish side of him that would never go away no matter what he wanted. What if he could get this girl out of danger? Like the movies that he used to watch as a kid where the grunt defies his overlords to save some special chosen one? That kind of shit would occasionally pop up in his mind from time to time, and he absolutely hated it, though he knew deep inside that he truly wanted something like that to occur.

Night City was cruel however; ugly and without mercy, and with an even uglier amount of hearts populating its territory. There was a good reason why they said there were never good endings in this city, or this god-forsaken world in the first place. But maybe, just maybe, he would be able to find hope?
