- hey! i'm loky/loki! i’ve recently gotten back into 1x1s! i only have a few rules and ideas/plots, but i am absolutely open to any plots you may have! please feel free to look at the other tabs for more about rping with me! if you find something you're interested in or have a different idea you want to try out, please don't hesitate to reply to this thread or PM me!
- 1. please be 17+, but younger than 30. nothing personal - that's just where my age range is and what i'm comfortable with!
2. i would consider myself semi-literate to advanced literate, so please be the same. i want to have a really fleshed out rp, with posts definitely longer than one line.
3. i really only do mxm or mxnb,,,, but i could maybe be persuaded to do other pairings as well, depends on the plot
4. please be willing to chat ooc too!! i really struggle to rp with someone who i don't feel a connection with. i would love to talk to you about our characters and the rp! please plot with me, i don’t want to make all the decisions myself!
5. i'm not picky about how active you are - i would generally say at least one reply a week, but i get really busy myself so i completely understand when there are busy periods. just as long as we can keep in contact and communicate with each other about what's going on!
6. i really really live for romance in my rps. i love to have side characters as well, but generally, i prefer romance as the sole focus
7. i am ghost-friendly!! if you become uninterested, you are welcome to let me know, but i don't mind if you ghost either! i’ll probably check in once or twice to just make sure, but i’ll never be upset with you!
8. you definitely do not have to create a whole character sheet for your characters but i would love to know heaps about them! what they look like, backstory, personality etc., even if we just chat about it!
9. i am happy to use discord for ooc plotting!!
- like i stated in the rules, i'm mostly interested in mxm and mxnb pairings, and all my rps are generally based around a romance. in terms of settings, i much prefer a contemporary/slice of life rp to anything else. i don't mind a bit of spice with futuristic or historical settings - i could even be persuaded into a fantasy genre - but generally, contemporary slice of life is where i'm more comfortable. of course, i'm willing to talk anything out with anybody. generally, i also only do original character rps. i don't really do fandom-based rps (see plots for more); maybe media-inspired rps, but i generally struggle a little with fandom rps.
in terms of triggers/how dark i want my rps to be, i am happy with pretty much anything. i love fluff and cute plotlines, but i also love the dark and twisted. character development and all that good stuff. i personally don't have any triggers, even if there is just things i don't feel comfortable with rping, but of course if you have any i am extremely happy to accomodate for that.
- i'm going to update this as i think of more plots, but of course, if none of these appeal to you but you have your own idea, i'd love to hear it! bold indicates which character i would like to play!
[plot one]
alright, so the basic idea for this one is that you would preferable be playing character a, and i would play character b. the most i have fleshed out for this is that character a is an ex-hitman and/or special forces agent who has come out into an early retirement, suffering from PTSD and trauma from the things he's seen and done in his career. character a is trying to readjust to life as a normal civilian, but he is really struggling; he doesn't seem to understand society any longer, he struggles to socialise with anybody, and everything feels like a threat. enter character b. not totally sure of his backstory yet, but he's just this happy-go-lucky guy. maybe a little childish. he doesn't really see the bad parts of life - or maybe he does and has, but he's blocked it out. in some circumstance, characters a and b meet and despite their complete opposite personalities, character b especially takes a real liking to character a. from there, we could really go any way. a scenario where character a ends up staying with character b for some reason really amuses me, but this could really take any direction. of course, the ideal ending is that a and b end up together at the end... but not without some angst first.
[plot three]
character a and character b have been dating for roughly a year. character b is a detective of some sort, and character a is - not to character b’s knowledge - a member of an organised crime group. initially, their relationship was fake on character a’s end; just a means to get information about the police’s progress against the crime group. however, down the track, character a developed genuine feelings for character b. nonetheless, he continued to feed information to his group. one day, character a turns himself in, but he has demands. he’s decided to defect from his group - maybe he doesn’t agree with their fight anymore, maybe they have different morals to when they started - and he wants to work with the police to bring them down in exchange for his freedom. however, he will only work with character b, who is shocked to find out the the man he loves is not who he says he is. the rp will follow them trying to bring the organised crime group down, as well as try to salvage their relationship and separate it from the lord and deceit. i imagine character a as a sherlock type character - someone who doesn’t really feel emotions and is super smart. in terms of what the organised crime group do/what their aim is, i haven’t figured that much out, so there would def need to be a fair amount of collaboration here.

i would also love to do a kind of darker version of this plot with a few changes. my character (character a) would be a hitman of some description, or someone who has committed a series of murder for a variet of reasons. maybe him and character b are genuinely dating, but character a has hidden pretty much everything from his boyfriend. as a hitman, character a works for various groups of people/individuals, and maybe one day the police - including character b - catch him while he’s on a hit. character b is shocked and we get all that good angst, but maybe a group that character a previously worked for is starting to do some things that character a doesn’t necessarily approve of, so the police enlist his help in catching them/stopping them, something like that.
[plot four]
i barely have a plot for this but i would love to do a classic mafia boss‘ son x bodyguard roleplay or something similar. bodyguard with a client that they should really stay away from for a number of reasons type situation. client who‘s just a bit of a brat and doesn’t take well to orders. you would probably play the bodyguard but i’m not too picky!

more of a pairing than a plot but with a bit more information than for just a pairing. i’d love to do like a ‘dad’s best friend’ romance, wherein the younger character’s dad was a teenage father so the age gap isn’t larger than, say 16 years. this is much more a slice-of-life, angst in terms of actual character development kind of plot; definitely something i would love to flesh out with you! the only idea i have for this is that the two characters meet again/get to know each other more at the younger character’s father’s wedding or something like that; or, they attend a wedding together. that’sjust a scene in general that i’d like to do in some rp, somewhere agshagshsgs. definitely i could talk about this more in detail if anyone is interested! i don’t really have a character preference for this one.

i don’t generally do fandom rps, because i don’t feel i’m especially good at playing canon characters, but there are a few pairings that i could be persuaded to do. this is only if you are very good/comfortable with playing the character in bold - i would play the character or oc not in bold. these are also all mxm/mxnb.
