Bandit Pass

The plains beyond the western gate. A cobblestone pathway leads from through here all the way to the fishing village which contains Avalon's only port. Halfway between the two, a little off the path, there is a tavern, far more decorated than the one in town, featuring live music, expensive liquors, a cleaner establishment, and newer and nicer furniture, a mystery to all considering the high numbers of bandit's in this area. Aside from the occasional wild boar, the bandit's are the main danger, looking to pillage and loot refugee's attempting to leave the village and escape the danger of the dragon. While a few bandit’s hang around near the eastern gates, they rarely go beyond the tavern. Currently, they have been left to their own devices as resources have been allocated towards the dragon issue. The bandit leader, a notorious criminal, has a small bounty on his head.

Altera River

Beyond the eastern gate is perhaps the most peaceful, quiet place outside of the town, though until reaching the river bandit's are a threat, though not as numerous as bandit pass. Slimes from the river frequently emerge, though generally harmless individually, they can be dangerous in numbers, engulfing vulnerable travellers. A bridge crosses over the river. Across the bridge, the path splits into two. A small ranch sits near the south road but following the main path northeast is the lumber mill, harvesting trees from the secluded northern portion of the forest, where few to no animals have chosen to reside. A little further north beyond that, is a large waterfall crashing into a small lake, the start of the river, and a small fish monger hut, with a boat raft on the shore to traverse the lake in search of fish. The path ends at the lake.

Vica Forest

Far east from the kingdom, along the road beyond the ranch, the forest is home to a variety of dangerous creatures. Wolves, kobolds, gnolls, and the occasional bear inhabit the secluded woods, but still daring adventurers travel into the forest in search of a treasure foretold in legend, that a shield of staggering strength awaits deep in the woods, overgrown into a tree long after the owner perished. The shield is supposedly made of elderwood, a fire resistant and extremely rare and oddly durable wood, with excellent craftsmenship that can withstand slashing blows from steel weaponry with ease.

Swampland

Dubbed "swampland", the region beyond the south gate, past the cemetery is filled with marsh lands, rotting woods, and mud pits. The unstable ground makes it unfit to build a foundation for any buildings. Few people besides what seems to be a growing cult are seen in this area and the path ends immediately before the ground muddy ground that leads into the beginning of the marshes. Slimes can be found here, however, they behave more aggressively, and are bigger and darker than the one's found northeast. At night, many strange sounds ring throughout the swamplands, and small feral eyes appear in between the branches of the few trees here.
