    the start:
    Wilhelmina began serving the Morel household at the sprightly young age of eighteen. At the time, she was absolutely ecstatic to be working for a family of such stature and wealth. She hadn’t much work experience besides babysitting for neighborhood families. However, it was what the girl lacked that made her a suitable employee in the eyes of Talbot Morel. Wilma had no family to speak of, and a meager social circle which, were she to cut communications, would not sound any alarm. Convenient for a man whose bed remained warmed by many, whose family life was in shambles, and who held deep secrets of his own. Little did she realize that her life would be intertwined with the Morels in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. ‘Til death would do them part.
    
    relationship with the morel children:
    Nannying for the Morel family went far beyond spoiling young children and bandaging bumped knees. No, Wilhelmina was obliged to wear many hats. Caretaker, parental figure, therapist, confidant, and even friend. At the start, she floundered. The Morel children were like none she had ever cared for. They were foul, profane, and vile, even. It took a lot of trial and error to find ways to avoid being taken advantage of, or emotionally manipulated by the smart little devils. She spent many nights locked in her bedchamber sobbing into a pillow. But eventually, the girl learned to handle the children with rightfully stern, yet lovingly gentle authority. Despite the childrens’ many struggles, she grew to love them tremendously. As time passed, Wilhelmina grew to regard them, as nearly as she could, as her own.
    
    relationship with morella:
    Wilma had to be the glue that kept not only the children well cared for, but the family together. Morella was at her wit’s end many days. It was hard work mothering six children, whom each grappled with their own afflictions, while Talbot was absent and out on business. Being the wife of a wealthy business man could be lonely, too. While their connection was not immediate, Morella and Wilma’s plotting over parenting techniques eventually turned into late nights letting off steam over a cup of tea. Morella would pour out her feelings, whilst Wilma would listen. And were it ever asked of her, she would even offer her advice.
    
    Although she didn’t realize it at first, Wilhelmina was falling for her employer’s wife. Talbot’s other mistresses came and went; some kind, many entitled, others a tad disturbed. But Morella. She was intelligent, and quick-witted. A little arrogant at times, certainly. But no one is without their flaws. It didn’t hurt that she was absolutely stunning.
    
    During the day, the two barely acknowledged each other aside from pleasantries. Morella wanted to keep up appearances and, well, it wasn’t a good look to befriend “the help”. Each night, however, their friendship blossomed. This emotional whiplash and hiding was sometimes difficult for Wilma to maintain. It hurt to have her best friend ignore her in broad daylight. But oh, how wonderful it was to have a friend at all. The other household staff were friendly enough, sure. But what she had with Morella was different. She was perfection.
    
    On one particularly gloomy night, Morella was beside herself. She and Talbot had been trying for a baby. Their very own child. But despite their best efforts, Morella could not conceive. It broke her to disappoint Talbot, but even more heartbreaking was the alienation she felt. People talked, and what they said wasn’t for children’s ears. They chattered on about how Morella was just a plaything, another girl to toss aside after her husband was finished with her. Morella felt that she needed to prove herself; to earn her place beside her husband, in society’s eyes. The woman felt she couldn’t do this without a child.
    
    Wilma did all she could to console Morella. She assured the poor woman that everything would work out, and that she would conceive a child. That despite everything the rumor mill hissed, she was worthy. Worthy of the love she desired, and of the happiness that she strived for.
    
    Maybe it was due to heightened emotions, or perhaps the whiskey Morella was drowning herself in. Whatever it was, Morella paused. She gazed at Wilma, eyes unblinking. Then, she threw herself atop the nanny in a passionate kiss. The rest of the night was a wondrous blur.
    
    The following morning, Wilhelmina awoke to an empty bed. The sun filtered through the window of her tiny staff member’s bedroom. She was late to work. The woman showered herself off and tried to piece herself together as best as she could, as if nothing had happened. She wondered to herself how Morella would approach her, what she would say. Her heart raced at the thought of seeing her love. When Wilma finally joined the family in the gathering room, she was surprised to see everyone- children, staff, Morella, and even Talbot- convened together. The couple had an announcement to make. Talbot, beaming with pride, shared that Morella was pregnant.
    
    Wilma’s face flushed cold. When she tried to meet the other woman’s gaze, she was met with nothing in return. Morella refused to look in her direction. She only smiled up at Talbot, her hand placed gently over her belly.

    The following months passed in a flurry of preparations to greet the new child. This was hardly the first child of Talbot to be welcomed into the world, so the staff was well aware of what needed to be done. But Talbot hovered over their every action nonetheless. Everything had to be perfect for the arrival of Morella’s child.
    
    Morella, on the other hand, floated about as if in a dreamlike daze. She hardly glanced in Wilma’s direction, and their evening meetings stopped cold. This tore Wilma apart. The distaste already planted within her for Talbot Morel, grew into a ferocious jealousy. How could this man, who had broken the hearts of so many, and played such a meager role in the raising of his own children, be enough for Morella? How could Morella, who opened herself up to Wilhelmina, simply throw her aside as if she were nothing?
    
    relationship with morella’s child:
    Eventually, that fateful day arrived: the birth of the child that took Morella away. Wilhelmina, already so broken down, was shattered by the death of her mistress. Now she would be the one to raise Morella’s child; the babe that woman so desperately cried out for so many nights ago. Heartbroken Wilma, would raise the child who brought about the death of her beloved. Some days it would be beyond joyful. Others, horrifically difficult to bear. But Wilma knew this child couldn’t be- no, didn’t deserve to be punished for something they had no control over. Morella loved that child until her last breath. Insatiable appetite for Destruction

Usually, he's this super cheery and easy-going dude who always has a smile on his face and loves to crack some seriously groan-worthy puns. But there's more to him than meets the eye. Behind that happy-go-lucky exterior lies a not-so-great truth - Mickey is an addict, and it's been a battle since high school for him. He's been wrestling with alcohol and drug abuse for quite some time now. And unfortunately, it hasn't exactly made him the best company to be around.

When Mickey is sober, he's the epitome of a ball of energy. He's always bouncing around with enthusiasm and happiness. You can count on him to be there for you, ready to lend a helping hand whenever you need it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they would literally strip the shirt off his back just to give it to you if you asked. But when he's had a few drinks or maybe indulged in some recreational activities, things can take a bit of a turn. It's like a whole different story unfolds. Let's just say his behavior might not be as consistent as when they are sober.

While he can remain the same guy when drunk- all good and nice that doesn't last for long with this guy. He's like a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off. It's not pretty, trust me. He's super destructive and has a knack for being verbally abusive. And guess what? He always seems to find himself in these terrible situations, but here's the kicker - he can never remember how he got there. Shocker. His blackouts are the absolute worst, but with his charm and apologies he's usually back on track until he downfalls again, managing to find some sort of way to destroy the family.

Mickey considers Graves to be his best friend, although the relationship isn't exactly the healthiest. Jesse is more of a dealer and drinking buddy than anything, and more than half time is the reason he ends up in jail or with a new addition on his ongoing record.

Mickey takes more after their mother, with her bubbly personality and easy going nature. His relationship with Talbot isn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either.

when did your character come into the family? were they with their father from birth, or later due to a custody situation, or did your character willingly come to the parent with the most money?

Mickey came to the family when they were 5 years old, due to their mother being put in medical care for BPD, and so he was given to Talbot. It was supposed to be a temporary situation, but eventually she grew to be so bad custody was given to his father.

their affliction: mental illness, an addiction, or something relating to the sin of choice

Mickey has an addiction to drug and alcohol along with BPD and Bipolar II.

what was their relationship with morella, if they even knew of her?

Mickey's relationship with Morella was casual, at most. While he didn't know her personally, or very well for that matter, he certainly didn't wish her death. Despite the fact he didn't know her very well, he seems distraught over her death as she was the only mother figure he really had growing up.

expand on the role of choice.

I chose Gluttony because I thought it'd be interesting to delve into a character afflicted with BPD and thus addiction and alcoholism, struggling to be better, yet falling back each and every time. I was also thinking about the partner aspect of it all, and if Mickey did have a spouse, it might be interesting to have one of their addictions be a person. Not in a murder-stalking way, but still. It seemed like an interesting character concept for this roleplay.
