"With so many paths, which one is the right one to take? Will we end up where our dreams lay?
Or perhaps, we will venture to a place were we must forsake them to go forward. Will our path take us to an end... or merely a beginning?
Sometimes I wish I knew all the answers... But will the truth even satisfy me?"
I feel there is a great under representation of this gruesome, dystopian setting based on the Project Moon universe. This is a crime I am hoping to rectify. Of course, while this rp will be lifting the main elements of this setting, I do not want to completely copy every aspect and plagiarize their great works. Major characters will be changed or altered to suit this rp. That said, I will be using some excerpts from the official site to expediate understanding for the sake of onboarding. Further changes will be made along the way.
Before we begin, I would like to lay down some expectations;
There will be mature themes throughout, 18+ admittance only.
At least once a week posts. Though more is always welcome! OOC participation is expected (probably via discord), but not required.
As a group rp, it is best when people actively interact with each other in their posts. I cannot stress this enough. Try to express actions that other people can latch onto. Don't just monologue internally. That said, do not control other players actions without consent. The post length does not matter. As the GM, it is also my responsibility to provide ample space to freely enjoy and express yourself. So please, before you even think about joining consider these few core tenants for how I will oversee the rp.
Note: A text in quotations, further context can be found in sections further below.
The core theme of this rp is 'sacrifice', with all of our characters being various "Fixers" working under a unique "Office". The core team will be employees for the Wallflower Office, an independent organization unaffiliated with any particular association. This specialized forum is interested with individuals with 'special talents', led by an Operator who claims to possess a secret singularity capable of 'hearing the framework of will'. A secret that would destroy them all if discovered. Yet, is also the key to attain their individual wishes. This particular office's main function is to investigation phenomena known as "Abnormalities", uncovering their nature and understanding their relation to "E.G.O." and "Distortions". While following the various cases presented to the team, it will lead to the office coming to odds with various other entities and organizations who also have an interest in the is these powerful identities and items.
Despite the many depictions of twisted imagery, and grim nature of this dark low-cyberpunk setting, expect plenty of hijinks and wacky adventure (as is commonly found in the P-Moon titles) as the crew navigates through the harrowing setting known as the City.
This will be a character-focused RP, so go in focusing on interactions, relationship building, trust-secrecy=betrayal, and mounting drama between the cast.But always keep in your mind, the most important rule while working for the Wallflower Office; "Knock Thrice. And don't mention its name."

Brief Setting Lore:
A metropolis of corporate nesting.
Our massive City is divided into 26 Districts, each unique in its technological advancements and culture. No two Districts are alike! For example, in whatever Nest we may be staying, it might be considered common courtesy to make sure no food is wasted. However, the Nest right next to it could just so happen to believe that it is a virtuous act to throw leftovers at the poor, as to let the destitute enjoy some sort of feast. When traveling, it's recommended that you read up on the customs and taboos of each Nest before visiting.
The Outskirts is a grand, empty expanse lying outside of the City. It is said to be an ungoverned, exceptionally dangerous territory, and City dwellers are largely advised to stay away from it.
A large train also runs in a circle along the edge of the Outskirts, for unknown reasons.
26 Nests under the brooding of 26 megacorporations.
Nests are what we call the 26 provinces of the City. And every Nest is cared for in the swaddling of its Wings. The 'Wings' are a collective term we use to refer to the 26 biggest conglomerates in the City. A figurative term to describe their importance to the function of the City itself, each providing a core service or item in support of society. Though their streets may appear tranquil on the surface, these Nests often possess a dark secret at the root of their overwhelming power.
The Wings are directly ruled by the Head, the Eye, and the Claw, the enigmatic supreme authority of the City. Each Wing possesses and utilizes a Singularity, a form of technology that can blatantly violate the laws of physics. Under the jurisdiction of a Wing, the citizens of each Nest enjoy comfortable and safe lives. Where the middle-high class (higher-grade Fixers, Wing employees, etc.) known as Feathers reside, But don't let yourself get too comfy! The moment a Wing is snapped or plucked of its feathers, no one can guarantee your safety in its Nest.
A few notable Wings -
R Corp - Markets itself as a private military company with some of the most elite combatants in the entire City.
W Corp - Known as WARP Corp. Advertises its Singularity as WARP, or near-instantaneous teleportation for transportation purposes, no matter the distance via WARP trains.
K Corp - Owns District 11. Their Singularity revolves around healing wounds and injuries (both physical and mental) quickly.
Every District contains Backstreets, separate from said district's Nest. A Wing tends to have little to no influence over its Backstreets, simply leaving its residents to fend for themselves. The level of cooperation between a Wing and a Backstreet may vary, but ultimately it is still a relationship of exploitation. The Backstreets are spread in, out, and around the Nests like veins throughout the City, though the boundary between the Nest and the Backstreets is clearly drawn. While these areas may seem like lawless lands at first glance, each district of the Backstreets has its own list of taboos, and you can find a rich and diverse set of cultures. Sometimes, denizens of the City form organizations of varying size and scope, commonly referred to as Syndicates.
Being the unlawful counterparts of Fixers, Syndicates are made up of thugs and gangsters who commit several shady, dubious activities often linked to organized crime and share a common goal. They tend try to make names for themselves in the Backstreets which they primarily operate in by black markets, contraband, trafficking, and hit jobs to name a few.
Here, it is common for many in the City to use technology to enhance their bodies, whether from augmentation tattoos empowering superhuman ability, nigh-unbreakable weapons crafted from special alloys, biological implants, to even special 'silk' clothing which can withstand gunfire.
[WARNING!]
Furthermore... please ensure all employees remember this next part. No assistance can be provided in the time between 3:13 AM and 4:34 AM, colloquially known as the 'Night in the Backstreets'. Nothing can be done, even for the most urgent of requests.
The hardy workers of the City, up to any task
Fixers are the all-around handymen of the City, handling their clients' various cases and incidents. Most of the time, in order to contract a Fixer officially, one must rap on the door of an Office authorized by the Associations or visit one of the Associations in person. Offices vary greatly in size, method, and style, and can be commonly found throughout every District of the City, even in the Nests. As a pro tip, if you need someone to handle work that most would consider "unreasonable", make sure to bring loads of cash and go directly to an Association. A total of 12 associate bodies, with a dedicated department for each cardinal direction, north, south, west, and east. Each association is specialized in a certain service, whether it be investigation and espionage (Seven), peacekeeping and security (Zwei), or simple assassination requests (Shi). The Hana are the most powerful, tasked with all-important duty to oversee all fixer operations and ensuring all contracts are honored across the City.
Most Fixers working at the Associations are obedient little dogs who can't refuse their missions!
Contracts are also distinguished by their difficulty, by certified Hana associate prior to listing;
Canard, Urban Myth, Urban Legend, Urban Plague, Urban Nightmare, and lastly, Star of the City.
Rarely, there are Grade 1 Fixers who greatly surpass others in some way, whether it is strength, intellect, or some other form of prowess. In such cases, the Fixer may be assigned a special title by the Hana Association to distinguish them as the optimal choices for felling Stars of the City, serving as a model for the ideal Fixer.
In terms of self-determination, not much is different between a Grade 1 and a Grade 9, whatever their affiliation; they all have to obey the orders of their superiors and act to preserve the way of life in the City to keep their lives going. The Color Fixers are the only Fixers who truly have the freedom that Fixers wish for, being able to act more or less independently and with more of a choice in what they choose to accomplish.
(Uniformity and fashion is a key aspect of identity for any organization wishing to present some level of authenticity or legitimacy to third parties. As gaining contracts is a very, very cutthroat business. Below are some examples of an office's dress-code, keeping in line with a strict color scheme.)
Lobotomy Corporation used to produce energy using creatures they called 'Abnormalities'. After the Wing's unexpected and swift collapse, those poor creatures got trapped in the facilities, alongside the even poorer employees.
In the aftermath of the White Nights and Dark Days event, there have been increasing reports of Abnormalities appearing and wrecking havoc across the City. Though more insightful individuals recognize these Abberations are unrecorded abnormality variants that seem to be unassociated with the L Corp experiments what so ever. While their origins are largely debated, it can be attributed to the existence of an 'Dissociation' an anchoring core emotion derived from a large and concetrated level of localized fear, desire, or obssesion. These supernatural entities are commonly mistaken for Distorted individuals, as at that point, the distinction between Abnormaliity and what may have once been human has been blurred and corroded beyond comprehension.
L Corp assigned a Risk Level to each Abnormality, which corresponded to the difficulty in managing the Abnormality as well as its Enkephalin production efficiency. The Hana Association has deem it appropriate to utilize the same Risk Levels to categorize Abnormalities. The five Risk Levels, in increasing level are: ZAYIN, TETH, HE, WAW and ALEPH.
{The enigmatic Hole-in-the-Man, seen wandering dark alleyways, seeking to testing the resolve of those it encounters.}
Useful tools originating from Abnormalities
E.G.O. (Extermination of Geometrical Organ) is a type of personalized equipment manifested from an individual's mind. In Lobotomy Corporation, the Extraction Team was responsible for extracting E.G.O. from the Abnormalities using Cogito, the Singularity of Lobotomy Corporation. After the White Nights and Dark Days, the Seed of Light was spread throughout the City, and some denizens gained the ability to manifest their own E.G.O. Which is said to be the paved path towards Distortion.
E.G.O isn't simply armor and weaponry separate from the Abnormality it's derived from, but rather can be seen as the separated organs of the Abnormality. When a person uses E.G.O, they are essentially synchronizing with the Abnormality it's derived from, allowing them to expertly wield E.G.O gear without prior training.
While this synchronization is a key advantage of E.G.O over other gear used in the City, it is not without its drawbacks as improper usage of E.G.O can lead to Corrosion.
As utilizing E.G.O includes borrowing the emotions and self-identity of an Abnormality, E.G.O-wielders are at risk of letting the Abnormality's desires overtake their own. If insufficient in mental strength, they may 'fuse' with the equipment when lacking the personal virtues of Prudence, Fortitude, Temperance, or Justice required to stave off the metamorphosis.
(An example of E.G.O. Corrosion, a battle briefly caught on CCTV image of a fixer illegally utilizing the 'The Howling Jaw" before they were terminated by a Seven Association team.
