Hey guys! I realize the Character Skeleton may be a bit daunting with the amount of information I am requesting, but fear not! I have a list of questions you can use to fill them out in no time!
These questions can be answered in more than one question if you know how to milk it for all its worth.
Description
Paragraph 1
1) What is the first thing others would notice about your character at a glance?
2) What kind of complexion do they have?
3) What is their skin tone, and do they have any scars or tattoos?
4) What shape is their face?
5) What style do they usually wear their hair?
6) What color are their eyes?
7) What kind of expression do they usually wear?
Paragraph 2
1) What kind of musculature do they possess?
2) When observing their overall musculature, what stands out the most, if anything?
3) Does their musculature clash with their clothing, or work with it?
4) What kind of clothing do they usually wear?
5) What about their appearance makes them identifiable in a crowd?
Personality
Paragraph 1
1) What is the overall consensus of the character's personality?
2) What defines their world view?
3) How did they come to the point where they are now emotionally?
4) How did they come to the point where they are now mentally?
5) How did they come to the point where they are now spiritually?
6) Is there anyone in particular from their life who helped shape outlook on life?
Paragraph 2
1) What features of the character's personality are most prevalent? (curiosity, compassion, hatred, anger, etc?)
2) Why are those features the most prevalent, and who or what about their lives made it so?
3) Why does your character do what they do today, and who is most directly responsible for bringing them to this point?
4) What kinds of events had either a traumatic or inspiring effect on your character?
5) How are your character's moral principles?
6) Who or what defined their moral principles?
Biography
Paragraph 1
1) Who are your character's parents?
2) Where were the parents born?
3) Did they grow up close, or far from one another?
4) When they met, was it love at first sight?
5) What obstacles to their love did they have to overcome.
6) When did they finally realize their love in marriage?
7) When was your character born?
Paragraph 2
1) As a young boy/girl, what kind of relationship did they develop with their parents and siblings? (If they had siblings)
2) Who were their first friends?
3) Who were their first rivals/enemies?
4) As they grew, what about their lives changed, if anything?
5) Presuming there were changes, why were they important?
6) Did your character meet anyone special in their lives at this time?
7) If not, who would be considered the most important figure in their lives during their early years?
Paragraph 3
1) As your character entered their teenage years, how did they change physical, mentally, and spiritually?
2) Who or what helped or hindered your character's growth during this time?
3) As your character became a young adult (late teens), what about their lives changed?
4) How did their relationship with their family change, if at all?
5) How did their relationship with their friends change, if at all?
6) How did their relationship with rivals and enemies change, if at all?
