Three Thousand Club
Rule #1: Intent To Join must be communicated
If you want to join this RP, you must inform me of your intent to join either in the Out-Of-Character thread where all discussion is to be held, or you may contact me via a private conversation message. If I see a character profile uploaded to the “Character Sign-Up” page which comes from a user who did not contact me and who's username I do not recognize, I will delete the character from the RP.
If you don’t have the courtesy to at least say “hello” when you want to join my RP, then I don’t want you here.
Rule #2: The use of God-Modding, Metagaming, and Power Playing will result in instant ejection from the RP as well as a permanent ban. Your characters will also be deleted from the RP's Character Sign-Up page.
God-Modding: Contorting or breaking RP rules for the purpose of making your character seem invincible or otherwise unkillable. For example, writing that your character can dodge a bullet or writing that in combat they never receive damage or allow an enemy to so much as scratch them. Nobody is that good, and even in this MMORPG video game world your characters have limits which you will adhere to.
Metagaming: Metagaming is when you introduce your own real world knowledge and experience into a character which should not possess them. For instance a thief character who suddenly knows about surgery and works as efficiently as a doctor with a PHD and 30+ years of experience in the Operating Room. Another example is a mercenary who is detailed to have had no formal education who suddenly becomes so wise and knowledgeable about various aspect of the world he never learned about before that he's essentially a library of information. It doesn't happen.
Stay true to your character.
Power Playing: Power Playing is writing for other player controlled characters (or player controlled and personal NPC’s) without the owner’s permission for the sake of making your character seem superior in any situation. For instance if your characters are fighting, and yours dodges every attack thrown at them and you write for the other that your character grabbed them, pinned them, and stabbed them without giving the other character’s owner the chance to counter you, that’s Power Playing.
Rule #3: Respect goes a long way
You will show your fellow role-players the proper respect in this RP. They are here to enjoy a role-play experience as much as you are, and they deserve to be treated as equals regardless of apparent writing skill and experience. If I see any signs of disrespect in the RP between players, the instigator of the issue will be booted from the RP without question. If both sides are equally responsible, then both of them will be booted.
I have no time or tolerance for disrespect in any form, no matter how subtle it may be.
Rule #4: Character Creation
* Your character profile must contain all of the information which is required from the character skeleton code box. If even a single element is missing or incomplete, the profile will not be approved for the RP until it is completed.
When it says "a minimum of two paragraphs with seven sentences each", that means that you must write at least two paragraphs which both contain seven or more sentences. Writing five paragraphs which only have four or five sentences each does not fulfill this requirement, and I will not allow any deviation from the requirements.
If any of the three big sections with said requirements show up with only minimal information, the entire profile will be rejected until it conforms to the requirements.
* Your character must be as realistic as possible. This means they conform to natural human physical limitations and bodily proportions as a real life character. Your characters “real world” height, weight, etc, must all be realistic.
* Your character’s avatar, the character we see inside the world of Lillium, is not confined to these limitations and can be adjusted however you like with a few basic limitations. Height cannot exceed 9’ or be shorter than 3’. Weight cannot exceed 450 lb. Ear length cannot exceed 8 inches. Hair length cannot exceed 5’. And body proportions must be relatively within the realm of “realism” if the game is to accept it. If you go beyond a certain dimension of realism, the game will give you an “Error” message and tell you which aspects of the character are in need of refining to be considered acceptable for the game world. Your Avatar’s appearance has no influence on your stats or how strong/weak your character is. A 3’ Halfling type character can be just as physically powerful as a 9’ Gorilla of a man.
* Introverted characters are not allowed. I see way too many introverts in RP’s all over the internet for reasons which escape me. They are bland, boring characters without any functional purpose in RP’s which, 95% of the time, focus on group interaction. An introvert directly opposes these elements by nature of its very design.
And honestly, who really wants to be an introvert? Introverts shun the world around them, avoid the people around them, and avoid whatever opportunities for growth and expansion of their world come their way.
There’s a word for people like that: Losers.
Rule #5: The RP’s Lore and Mechanics are to be adhered to at all times.
I will not allow unauthorized changes to the RP's lore or mechanics from anyone.
When you wish to create a Skill, a Skill Tree, an NPC, a Quest, or what have you, you may do that. But the catch is that you must inform me of this choice as well as providing me with all of the details. If I say it's cleared to be added to the RP, then you may employ it and I will add the details of whatever your creation was to the RP directly.
Rule #6: Realism is paramount
Even in this RP world where your character is sucked into a virtual reality MMORPG, within the game the laws of physics still apply. Nobody is going to fly. Nobody is going to wall run for more than a few isolated steps like a normal free runner. Nobody is going to wall jump. Etc. Unless you acquire Skills and Perks which actually help you to bend these laws of physics, you are to adhere to realistic human limitations in game.
For example, when your character fights an enemy in the field, and your character does a triple back flip to escape an attack, I will call you out on that. No human being is capable of performing a triple backflip without some kind of outside influence such as a trampoline or a launchpad of some kind. Be realistic, otherwise we’ll have a problem.
